Very tasty food! Friendly service

The place itself was very nice, but if you want to dance there there is no ventilation inside. That's a real shame. The food was a buffet so not the standard local food. The staff who looked after us were very nice and we always had a drink on hand (:

In the summer when it opened, we found the beer garden's offerings even more appealing. The 4 stars are benevolent because there isn't much on offer in Mülheim. As is the case in many places these days, service is only very limited, which is certainly due to the general lack of staff in the catering industry. Both drinks and food have to be ordered at the huts and it sometimes takes a long time. We didn't think the food was adequate for the price, both in terms of taste and portion size. Still, it's nice to sit there. If you don't have too many expectations, you're in good hands here.

The Palmengarten is somewhat hidden in a park in the Mülheim district. But it is very quiet and you can still get there very easily by public transport (Wiener Platz 5 minutes). The atmosphere is very informal, both service staff and guests are very relaxed. The selection of drinks is great, both with and without alcohol. I prefer the light from the stein. The selection of dishes is large and vegetarians also get their money's worth. However, compared to the first time, the quality of the cuisine has deteriorated somewhat. At first the food was better than in the Baguattelle in the southern part of the city, but now it's definitely the other way around. Nevertheless, I like it and it doesn't detract from a relaxing evening there. I also think the “schnapps for tip” rule is nice, the pear and apple brandy is very good!

The operating rules are poorly solved. The ambience is somewhat cozy but in a rather dingy environment. The prices are normal.

We enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and polite. You have to pick up your drinks yourself and you also have to order food using a piece of paper on the stand. Gladly again. 😊👍🏼

Unfortunately, a shop that is no longer as good as it was at the beginning. In addition, promises are not kept

30 minutes for children's fries with chicken nuggets... We had to go to a children's concert next door. When asked, there was no chance of picking up the order after the concert, let alone a refund. Food would already be in production.... perhaps that was the case, but the next person could have gotten it.... Nuggets are served tray by tray every 5 minutes, so in terms of service it would certainly have been feasible....

Very expensive and no service at the table. At the SB Holzbude 4.50 + 3 € = 8 €. Fits today. The staff doesn't seem to be professional, but they are friendly. Next time I'll sit by the pond and bring my own things.

Disaster. The service is totally overloaded and untrained. We wanted to have a little something to eat and drink before a concert, but after 20 minutes of complete disregard we left. That's not how you treat customers.

The Bagatelle beer garden is one of our new regulars. The atmosphere is super relaxed, the audience is pleasant and the food is simply delicious. Keep it up dear Bagatelle team!!!! Unfortunately the menu has changed and the little bagatelles are no longer available...we haven't been going there since then...it's a shame

Super class, we were there yesterday with a small group (code word: Django), it was super class, the food was perfect, we had the menu up and down and tried each of us, EXCELLENT, PLEASE KEEP IT UP..

Very nice outdoor area in the green lung of Cologne-Mülheim. If you want to grab a bite to eat or just want to have a drink in a quiet beer garden atmosphere, this is the right place for you. Inside, the palm garden also invites you to linger. For your information: to order, you go to the wooden house and pick up your drinks for immediate payment. The food is handed over to the food booth on pieces of paper left on the tables and later served to the table.

We love! But we come for the nice atmosphere and delicious drinks, not for the great food. You can't go wrong with the (vegan) currywurst, the rest of the food is not so lovingly prepared. Still a great place for an after-work beer!

We thought it was very nice here! Beer garden feeling, but in better. We had nothing to complain about about the food and the waiters were very nice.

We were there for the first time because we had heard so many positive things a year ago. Unfortunately we haven't heard anything about any concept changes. The food was absolutely boring, tasteless, the kibbeling was frozen fried fish, no beer batter, little fish, a lot of batter. In the Caesar salad, parmesan, croutons and dressing were used in a more homeopathic way. The chicken breast was totally dry and I don't think I saw any seasoning at all. The bacon was soggy and had cooled down in its own fat and was inedible. Everything looked as if it had been prepared by untrained temporary workers using the cheapest convenience products. The prices were too high for that. First and last visit.

Briefly in advance: The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is friendly. You can sit outside, but the food consists of poor convenience products that are overpriced. This wasn't the case last year. Fries special for 7€. Good portion, still steep price, although it would be okay if you at least got good fries. Here you can get cheap wavy fries, probably from the discount store around the corner. This price-performance ratio can no longer be justified with fair pay or anything else.

I have lived in Mülheim for over 20 years and was really happy about the opening of the Palmengarten. I went there so many times last year because the atmosphere was great and the food tasted excellent and was very varied. Just something that you can't get everywhere. I was able to win a lot of friends over to this store and everyone was thrilled with how great the decor was and the atmosphere. This year I was there once with friends. The food has been completely changed and no longer has anything special for me. A mountain full of simple fries and a simple sausage. Nothing unusual anymore. Too bad! Unfortunately I won't be able to eat anymore. Since the atmosphere is great, still have a drink.

What a dreamy place. Such friendly staff, lovely beer garden on the terrace and exquisite seating inside. I spent hours there enjoying delicious schnitzel and Kölsch! The sweet potato fries were so crispy and heavenly too.

Cozy retro cool beer garden. Food was great, crispy Jägerschnitzel with Obstler 🤗🤗 (1a idea), sauce nicely in extra bowls, plenty of fries and crunchy. Top grade

Went to the palm garden today. The whole meal was a disaster. There were convenience products such as kibbeling with fries at exorbitant prices. The kibbeling was in the deep fryer for too long, with hardly any fish in it. All in all a disaster. In the hallway to the toilet there was a terrible smell of old fish. It cannot be compared to before and I do not recommend ordering food there. The waiters tried to make up for it. But all in all it doesn't go beyond one star.

Finally a restaurant in Mülheim with flair

Visiting this beer garden was quite a disappointment. At first we had to wait forever to even be served, and when it was finally our turn the staff seemed pretty random. It almost seemed like they would rather be somewhere else and weren't interested in making money. The food was also a bitter disappointment. It seemed like everything came straight from the freezer or can. I honestly can't recommend a single dish. For the money we spent we really could have saved ourselves the visit.

An unexpected idyll on Wiener Platz. With the friendly staff, great food and fair prices you will be transported to another world. If you don't want to treat yourself to something really good after a good meal, order the Kaiserschmarrn. A poem for dessert, it couldn't be better. Cheers!

Was there twice today and it was great again. Delicious food, nice staff, great ambience!

Great location in the park. The living room concert for children by Pelemele was well organized. Slightly smaller portions for kids so that you don't have to throw away so much would be great. The fries portion was really huge.

Casual beer garden in Mühlheim with weak food. The location, furnishings and atmosphere are top. The service is super friendly and relaxed. The fun ends when you eat. 11 EUR for an Obazda with an unmixed piece of butter the size of a golf ball and a small pretzel on the side. The portion came “already” after 25 minutes. In terms of taste, apart from the piece of butter, it was rather thin and uncool.

Nice place to enjoy a break after work or on the weekend. Living room concerts are also highly recommended there. We were at Philipp Godart's and there was a great atmosphere and it was a lot of fun. Great ambience. We'd love to come back.

My absolute favorite shop in Mülheim. I've been here many times and even after the reopening in April with the new menu and the new concept. Unfortunately, I have to say that some of the charm has been lost due to the elimination of the bagatelle menu and the smaller drinks menu. We also waited an incredibly long time for food and drinks that afternoon, obviously it's a new opening and it's stressful, but you shouldn't have to wait an hour for a salad and not even be able to drink something during that time because the counter staff can't find the wine. I hope my next visit will give me more positive vibes again.

I was there with a few friends shortly before the winter closure. The employees are service-oriented, but for some it would probably be too direct. The tapas offered were all ok. In terms of price it is acceptable.

Bagatelle in Cologne Mülheim. Top!!!

Ich lieben diesen Ort einfach, eine totale Bereicherung für Mülheim! Das Essen und der Wein sind lecker, das Team immer gut drauf, ich fühle mich dort einfach wohl!

Das Ambiente ist echt schön und außergewöhnlich. Der Service hingegen, sehr freundlich lässt aber gern auf sich warten...das Essen 0815 Tapas..und Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht überein.

Ein Idyll unmittelbar am Rhein und absolut klasse eingerichtet. Der Service ist super, aufmerksam und freundlich, nicht aufdringlich und das Essen ist hervorragend, alles in allem auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Höchstwahrscheinlich im Sommer noch umso schöner, hat es jedoch auch im milden Herbst seinen Charme und bietet leckere und ausgewogene Tapas-Küche zu einem fairen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Dazu ein süffiger Grauburgunder und zum Abschluss ein wenog Dolce und der Abend ist perfekt und entspannt. Auf ein Wiedersehen im Frûhjar/Sommer 😋

Zuallererst: super leckeres Essen - typisch Bagatelle eben 😋 Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön und sowohl drinnen als auch draußen sehr einladend!

Die Servicekräfte waren alle sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und gastorientiert. Als wir ein weiteres Glas Wein bestellen wollten, kam leider dreimal " ich sage meinem Kollegen Bescheid " ohne das wir einen Wein bekamen. Aber dennoch fühlten wir uns gut aufgehoben. Das Ambiente ist aus der Zeit gefallen und wirkt nicht gepflegt und alles etwas ungeliebt. Die Speisen waren soweit okay. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war gut.

Nachdem der Palmengarten in den Medien so gelobt wurde, haben wir’s endlich letzten Sonntag dorthin geschafft! Resümee: 3 Bagatellen bestellt: Bohnensalat kam recht schnell: ok, Pommes dauerten ein wenig: klein und fast „zu Tode“ fritiert, braucht keine Wiederholung, die Lammkoteletts kamen erst nach weiterer Nachfrage: ok. Insgesamt: kein besonderes Erlebnis. Man sitzt eng und „nett“ im Biergarten. Die Rechnung stimmte zu unseren Ungunsten auch nicht, wenngleich der Kellner sehr freundlich reagierte…. Wiederholung? Nicht zwingend….🤷‍♀️

Alles ist total super, wenn ich aber doch noch ein wenig konstruktive Kritik als Mitbürger des Stadtteils, der gerne immer mal spontan vorbei schaut, äußern darf, so stört mich doch die Häufigkeit der "geschlossenen Gesellschaften". Natürlich verstehe ich sowohl den Anlass, wie auch das Geschäft dahinter, finde es aber schade, wenn wir spontan auf ein Getränk und ein paar Köstlichkeiten vorbeikommen wollen und dann vor "geschlossenen" Türen stehen. Ich finde, so ein tolles Konzept und so eine tolle Location sollte immer für alle offen sein...

Super Location, Essen und Getränke entsprechen leider nicht annähernd dem, was man von der Bagatelle erwartet.

Guter Service, Angebot vielfältig. Bei gutem Wetter sehr schöner Außenbereich, drinnen etwas dunkel.

Wir haben auf der Terrasse gesessen. Das Essen war gut aber ohne besonderen Pfiff, will sagen, man kann beim würzen noch etwas mehr machen. zB die Auberginenröllchen, super gegahrt aber die Füllung war langweilig und neutral. Der Blumenkohl war nur mit Curry gepudert, ohne Crunch und nicht gar, auf leckerem Sugo. Mein persönliches Highlight waren/ sind der gebackene Camembert und die Kibbelinge. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis paßt. Der Service war flott und freundlich, die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Teich ist gut mit Schirmen bestückt und das Konzept gefällt mir sehr, ggf Essen mitbringen und nur Getränke ordern, finde ich super den Engpässe kennen wir alle. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder

Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Ambiente hat uns auch überzeugt. Nur der Service lässt doch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Erstmal hat man um 17:30 Uhr telefonisch keinen erreicht. Dann fand ich es irgendwie seltsam warum reservierte Tische hübsch eingedeckt sind und unreservierte Tische nicht. Haben die mehr bezahlt für den Tisch? Ich fühlte mich gleich wie ein Mensch zweiter Klasse. Ich hatte Geburtstag und wollte mich nicht so fühlen. Wir hatten zwei Kleinkinder dabei, aber keiner fragte uns, ob wir Kinderstühle bräuchten. Wir haben uns die selber aus einer Ecke unter der Treppe geholt wo man sich den Kopf stößt. Nachdem wir unseren Zettel ausgefüllt hatten, kam ewig keiner. Also ging ich nach vorn um die Bestellung aufzugeben. Als das Essen kam, bekam ich als erstes Hackbällchen auf einem winzigen Schüsselchen. Teller hatten wir ja keine. Als ich zur Theke ging, um nach Tellern zu fragen, sagte mir die Dame, man bekäme die Gerichte sowie auf kleinen Tellerchen. Sie gab mir zwar Teller aber der Satz hat mich erstmal geschockt. Die ganze Zeit, die wir da waren, kam nicht einmal ein Kellner und fragte, ob wir noch was benötigen oder Ähnliches. Der Service könnte also um Längen besser sein.

Update Januar 2023: Wir waren am Freitag zum ersten Mal INDOOR im nagelneuen / alten Bagatelle Palmengarten. Und waren geflashed von der wunderschönen und liebevoll gestalteten Inneneinrichtung. Die ist wirklich einfach perfekt. Auch beim Essen hat die Küche verglichen zum Sommergarten zugelegt. Wir hatten das Ragout Fin mit Kalb (eigentlich eine „Kleinigkeit“ aber ich fand das mengenmäßig echt voll ok selbst für ne Hauptspeise), die Parmesan-Trüffel-Pommes und das Böff Bourguignon. Und alles drei war fantastisch! Das Böff war super zart, das Ragout sehr cremig und die Pommes knusprig mit einem Hauch Trüffel. Zum Böff gab’s auch einen kleinen Extra-Salat im Schälchen, was ich erheblich besser fand als im Sommer, wo zum Roastbeef ein ganzer Salatteller kam. Allerdings: wir waren jetzt von 17-19 Uhr an einem Freitag im Palmengarten, was eigentlich etwas früh für uns war (aber danach gabs keine freien Tische mehr). Im Endeffekt waren wir jedoch froh, weil ab 19 Uhr eine Karnevalssitzung in der Stadthalle war, was doch in dem einen Teil des Palmengartens etwas laut war. Alles in allem ein toller Laden, wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal dort. ********** Ursprünglicher Beitrag vom Sommer 2022: Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal im Bagatelle Sommergarten und waren wirklich begeistert von der Location: man sitzt super schön direkt am Mülheimer Stadtpark und erfrischend war auch, dass wir sogar noch einen Platz gefunden haben (bei Bagatellen Freitags ja keine Normalität 😅) Problem ist dann aber auch genau das, was es zur Bagatelle (neben dem Namen) macht: das Essen. Die Marke „Bagatelle“ verspricht einem leckere und ausgefallene Kleinigkeiten. Wir bestellten Roastbeef mit Salat, Rauchforelle mit Pumpernickel und Salat plus zweierlei Dips, Süßkartoffelpommes mit Tomatenaioli und normale Aioli mit Baguette. Beim Roastbeef bekamen wir nicht Roastbeef mit Salat, sondern einen riesigen Teller Salat mit Roastbeef. Das Fleisch war lecker, aber was sollte der Berg Salat? Die Beschreibung ist total missverständlich, mein Freund hätte sich niemals einen Salatteller bestellt. Das Rostbeef an sich war aber sehr lecker. Bei meiner Rauchforelle musste ich den Fisch suchen. Die Portion war winzig und überdeckt mit Salat (wenn auch nicht so üppig wie bei den Roastbeef). Was die 2 Dips dabei sollten, hab ich überhaupt nicht verstanden, weil sich Senf und Kräuterquark auch nicht geschmacklich ergänzen. Unabhängig davon war der Kräuterquark viel zu viel. Wenn man die Dip-Portionen zu groß macht, ist das zwar gut gemeint, aber am Ende Verschwendung, weil alles weggeworfen wird. Gleiches Problem bei Süßkartoffelpommes und Aioli: viel zu viel Dip. Die Pommes waren dafür aber wirklich klasse! Und für die Aioli haben wir nochmal kostenlos extra Brot als Nachschub bekommen. Alles in allem haben wir 33 Euro für die vier Gerichte bezahlt und waren zwar satt, aber eine Bagatelle Erleuchtung wie in den anderen Läden hatten wir nicht. Da ist von der Gerichtzusammenstellung und der Gerichtbeschreibungen auf der Karte echt noch Luft nach oben. Vielleicht klappt das nächstes Jahr?! Die Weine (hatte Weißburgunder, Chardonnay und den Rosé) sind auf jeden Fall sehr lecker und mein Freund hat sich auch sehr über das Helle vom Fass gefreut. Fazit: zum Sitzen und was trinken an einem lauen Sommerabend der Knaller, weil tolle Location und schöne Getränkeauswahl! Bitte kommt nächsten Sommer wieder! Beim Essen bisschen enttäuschend im Vergleich zu anderen Bagatellen, aber ein Süßkartoffelpommes-Snack zum Wein oder Bier ist auf jeden Fall ne gute Idee.

Heute mal im Selbstbedienungsbereich gewesen. War nicht so cool. Aber vorne läuft leider immer so laut Musik.

Wir haben im Teil mit Selbstbedienung gesessen, daher kann ich den Service nur bedingt bewerten. Nett waren sie alle. Der Biergarten ist schön, die Bestuhlung allerdings etwas minimalistisch und auf Dauer unbequem. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war lecker.

Nette Location in Köln Mülheim. Direkt am Park gelegen. Selbstbedienungsbereich zahlreiche Sitzgelegenheiten. Nur mäßig für gehbeschränkte Personen geeignet. Für Rollstuhlfahrer leider garnicht. Alle bekannten Getränke verfügbar. Besonders angesagt sind die zahlreichen Bagatellen / Tapas. Die die ich mir bestellt hatte, waren fantastisch.

Großer Bruder der Südstadt Bagatelle mit ähnlicher Tappas Küche in Flower Power Ambiente. Sehr lecker sind die Garnelen. Der Kibbeling war leider etwas trocken. Die Berliner Weiße passte gut zum Fisch.

Wir waren im Aussenbereich, der einem richtig schönem Biergarten gleicht! Total urig, unter Bäumen, auf Bierbänken, oder alten Holzgartenstühlen gesessen. Tolle ausgefallen preiswerte, herzhafte Leckereien, zu günstigen Preisen werden dort angeboten! Samstag und Sonntag gibt es in der Zeit von 15h - 17h, sogar frische Waffeln, mit Kirschen und Sahne! Alles zu sehr zivilen Preisen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder...
