The food is good, just like at any other chip shop, but when it's crowded, it's very uncomfortable tucking into warm fries between the cramped tables. I usually eat outside. The wait times aren't exactly short, even when the place is full. This is based on my personal, subjective experience and may vary from visit to visit.

The food tastes very good. Almost all of the employees are very friendly, but the would-be manager is extremely unprofessional. He looks like he's forced to work and wears a lot of clothes. He's very rude to other employees and customers. Otherwise, a very good place.

I love this shop, and especially this branch. The space is beautifully decorated, the bill doesn't have a number but usually has a funny name, and most importantly, the food tastes really good. There are some vegetarian options, but meat eaters like me also get their money's worth here. The seasonal poutines are usually a cool addition, but I always enjoy returning to classics like the "Classic Quebec Poutine."

Here you can find fries in all varieties. Very tasty and fresh. There's seating both inside and outside. In addition to regular fries, there are also fries with garlic oil and spicy fries as a base.

Delicious in itself, but unfortunately Frittenwerk is becoming increasingly heavy on animal products. My friends and I would be very happy to have more vegan options. I was very sad when the chili cheese fries were changed from vegan to vegetarian with no options.

You order at the vending machine, which of course saves on personnel costs. The vending machine puts pressure on you to tip, so you have to actively refuse (in shame). I find the pre-selection of up to 20% outrageous. I get the food myself and have to hand over the tray. I mean, the prices for fries are already high, but the expected tip at the vending machine is simply outrageous. That's how much they charge in restaurants with full service in the USA, where employees are paid well below minimum wage. Hopefully (!) here they pay a decent amount and there's zero service! Yes, it really does taste good, but as long as the request for tips continues to be so outrageous, this will be my last visit to your place.

I forgot my order and only received it after repeated inquiries. The fries were lukewarm and the meat cold. There's no cutlery either. After all, eating fries and meat with your hands is super great. At least now I know which place won't see me again. Lol

I was at Frittenwerk today around 3:00 PM and ordered a takeout meal. While placing my order, I noticed that the woman at the cashier had misunderstood my potato choice. When I asked for an exchange, she asked her colleague who had cooked the fries, and he replied, 'No, we don't take anything back, so that's just the way it is.' I wonder what kind of service that is.

great fries but the coca cola was room temperature and the fries were a little too oily. there was not a lot of outdoor seating and inside it was very hot, even late in the evening. the fries were still very tasty and good veggie options

Anyone who's ever been to Belgium will be sorely disappointed. The receipt printer for the restroom is broken. The lemon aioli is OK. We're not upset, just disappointed.

Very fast and friendly service. There are vending machines for ordering with cashless payment (you get a funny name for your order). The food is always delicious, and the shop itself is nicely decorated. They recently started offering reusable food bowls instead of paper plates; everything is generally very environmentally friendly and plastic-free. Unfortunately, it's often a bit crowded and cramped outside.

Months ago, you really screwed up, it can happen. Then, after three emails and a few apology vouchers, we received a few apology vouchers (so far, so good). We tried to redeem them today and got the rude reply: "I don't know how to redeem them." Then we were left standing. So we'll have to go somewhere else to eat...

I think the shop is nice, the interior is well-equipped and the workers are always friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend the shop.

Delicious fries but too expensive, two points deducted

We had hoped for more. The taste was good at first, but as the evening progressed, the fries with gyro and the vegan currywurst began to feel heavy in our stomachs.

Sweet staff and really good fries

I ate there yesterday, and aside from the fact that the waitress was dressed like I was at a nudist club, I got severe food poisoning. One might think this could have come from somewhere else, but this was the first meal I'd had that day since I was visiting Cologne. The sausage fell apart and was overcooked, but the fries and mayo were okay. Unfortunately, the table was very dirty.

I always eat here and am always very satisfied and happy. The service is great, and everything you eat there is delicious 😍👍🏽

I ate at your Cologne branch on Ehrenstraße with my wife today. We ordered Cheesy Sucuk Love with garlic fries. ++ UPDATE ++ Thank you, dear Frittenwerk team, for your response. Today, June 10, 2025, I received a free ticket from you as compensation. Thank you for that. But when we got our food, we got anything but Cheesy Sucuk Love. When we complained about this in the branch, we were still turned away and told that it was the food we had ordered. Even an email contact with Frittenwerk has not been answered to date.

Once and never again, unsalted fries on an empty stomach. That's not how fries work at all, an absolute negative example.

Pure love for fries! Frittenwerk was simply delicious! Our favorite fries: Montreal with mushroom sauce, cheese and radishes, extremely good and really special in taste. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just like good fries should be. Definitely not the last time, we'll be back!

You can only recommend this place, if you like fries you can't ignore Frittenwerk. Lots of unusual Fritzen combinations. Of course you can also get other things than fries here, but as the name suggests, it's mainly about the fries.

Great shop, friendly young staff. Short waiting time, the order gets funny names and there are funny slogans to read everywhere with reference to "Fries" E.g. Employee shirt with "I'm glad its Friesday". You can discover a funny sentence everywhere, you just have to look. This definitely made the waiting time easier. The food was amazing, 10/10 💯🔥 ✔️

Yesterday we happened upon the Frittenwerk on Cologne's Ehrenstrasse. The restaurant itself is very cramped but clean. The food is really very tasty. With a waiting time of around 10 minutes for two portions of fries with toppings, you are also well served. Be careful, however, to use the toilet you need a code that is on the receipt. So don't throw it away too quickly.

Cheesy Sucuk Love + auf Knoblauchfritten was 4.9 euros and was good to share as a snack between two people. And it's delicious. They made it with garlic flavor, which suits my taste. I am very satisfied with the staff as they are all energetic and friendly.

Das Essen war kalt, die Pommes waren überdeckt von der Soße, dass man die Pommes nicht schmecken konnte. Für den Preis ist es nicht viel verlangt warmes Essen zu bekommen. Das Personal war nicht Motiviert, freundlich schon. Der Laden war schmutzig, viel lag auf dem Boden und zu guter letzt haben wir eine Maus im Laden laufen sehen. Wir haben das Personal Bescheid gegeben. Leider eine Enttäuschung, wir kennen Fritten Werk anders.

I've been here many times over the past few years for a quick snack. The service workers are always friendly, the fries are good. However, I just have to write a review now because the toilets are always completely filthy. I've never found the toilet to be halfway usable, no matter what time of day it was... there's a sign on the wall saying "please keep the toilet clean" and that seems to be it...

Kindly provide restrooms. The portions are large enough to fill you up, so be careful not to order too much and not finish it.

Plenty of portions and super nice service.. I've been here 4 times now and have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. Unfortunately there aren't that many seating options, but that's probably because it's mostly take-away portions! So I would go there every now and then to satisfy my hunger when I need a break from shopping.
