The beer garden itself is really beautiful and nicely laid out. You can't expect much from the service with self-service. The ladies at the food counter were nice. But now we come to the important thing, the food. So I just find a Schäuferla for €18.90 self-service just cheeky! I can't say anything about the quality of the Schäuferla, but if it's just as miserable as the rest of the food, then €18.90 is highway robbery! I had a cordon bleu for €14.90 that may have been homemade, but was prepared ages ago and probably frozen. The breading was soggy and the fries were probably fried for the second time. The taste is terrible. My wife had a press sack plate for €7.90 with a press sack sliced ​​very thinly and a slice of bread. So basically a press bag bread for €8. Pretty cheeky! Our friends had the Swiss sausage salad, which was made from home-made town sausage, sliced ​​very thin of course. The taste was so delicious that half of the already meager portion was returned. I think the sausage salad costs €8.90. But the beer was good! Do yourself a favor and avoid the store!

Almost useless as a vegetarian. There is almost no choice, especially not when it comes to the warm dishes, which all contain meat. We wanted to order the large snack plate and the meat there. On the one hand, this was not understood and on the other hand, it was done incorrectly on the first attempt, so we had to wait even longer. So it's really not worth a visit as a vegetarian, because the prices aren't exactly cheap for what's available.

The Schäuferle, simply a force. Plus a cool cellar beer from a variety of small breweries in the Franconian region and great opening times. You can enjoy it under the many fruit trees. And your wallet won't be drained too much either, i.e. price and performance are in harmony. The friendly staff are quick and there was a bone for the dogs on top of that. Here the world is still in order and due to the size there is always a space available. A must for anyone who loves rustic cosiness.

Great selection of (changing) beers fresh from the tap, beautiful beer garden under fruit trees, nice staff. But the food? Sorry, just the cheapest quality and then way too expensive. Schnitzel cheap frozen, fries taste old, press bag 4 slices thin like cold cuts for just under 10 euros. Why??? You have a great butcher in town (Ammon), a not entirely impoverished clientele - why not good quality, preferably for a few euros more?! Ergo: I like to drink with you, never eat again.

After a visit to the Playmobil Fun Park, we went to Obstgärtle and had dinner there. Good food, a great ambience and with the integrated playground, ideal for families with children!

Even in the best summer weather in August with 30 degrees on a Saturday at 5 p.m., even large groups (+15 people) can easily find enough shady seats. The menu is a classic selection of all the dishes that should not be missing in a Franconian beer garden.

Nice ambience, old fruit trees, naturally cloudy apple spritzer for €4.50 is overpriced for a beer garden. Cordon bleu terrible (unseasoned, flaxy), fries not good, everything carelessly on the plate... 10.8.24 There used to be beautiful lighting from the onset of dusk, now everything is dark, when asked, the gentleman doesn't know how the light is turned on and there is no longer anyone responsible. Hopefully the gentleman can turn off the light... suddenly the beautiful lighting flashes frantically, oh I found the switch, that was the sign to go... Then suddenly everything is pitch black, it's not safe to walk here... Definitely won't come again.

Overall it was an excellent day. We were there with 30 people for the baptism of our daughter. Food was very tasty 😋. Great location. Great atmosphere. Nice personel. We'd love to come back for the next celebrations 🥳.

The beer was okay, for a second glass with the wine you had to order a second wine "there is no second glass", there was no mustard on the snack plate, cucumber was almost non-existent, bread tasted old, no light in the toilet, you had to look for an ashtray . I can't say much about the service as everything is self-collection. Was there yesterday with my family. There is a nice sand playground with a climbing tower and slide, but we found the food a bit expensive... the fries were also very salty and the schnitzel/currywurst were very, very fatty... not recommended if you are very hungry because we could hardly sleep after the greasy meal were thirsty. It's probably enough for a cool refreshment in the shady beer garden. Kind regards

I can't understand the bad reviews of Currywurst at all. The currywurst was very tasty and the staff was really friendly. All wishes were fulfilled (potato salad and 50:50) and I would be happy to go here again.

We come to Gärtla every Sunday for dinner, including on July 21, 2024. The best sellers are not available again because the OVEN has been broken for 5 weeks. It is incomprehensible that the most important kitchen appliances do not work. It seems as if the operator does not feel responsible for the maintenance and is not interested in the well-being of the guests. It can also be seen in the women's toilet. The light hangs on the open cable. We won't come again until something changes.

However, the prices of the food (e.g. schnitzel or snack plate) are a bit too high considering the self-service and quality (the schnitzel has more breading than meat). Overall therefore only 4 points. I would still like to come back.

Unfortunately not as good as last year. Prices have increased quite a bit, really outrageous for self-service. Portions have become very small. Cordon Bleu and schnitzel very dark and dry. Fries white and not cooked through. Our regular beer garden last year, we won't be eating here in the future. And all the reviews praising the service are obviously fake, there is no service! There is only self-service here. Too bad about the money.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens I know...can easily compete with the very good ones from Franconian Switzerland. Very comfortable with benches and seat backs, very large parasols, large selection of different beers, super friendly staff who are always very helpful. Even when it rains you can sit in a newly renovated, rustic house. I was there for the first time 4 years ago and am still an enthusiastic regular guest!! All in all, a icing on the cake when it comes to beer gardens and on the outskirts of a big city. Grade 1 with *!!

Yesterday I was at Obstgärtla with my wife and a few friends. I ordered a schnitzel with fries which I only received after about 40 minutes even though the beer garden wasn't even half full. The schnitzel looked very good at first glance but turned out to be a total fake the first time I cut it. 3 mm of breading in between a hint of meat that was difficult to cut and had no taste whatsoever. At this price and picking it up myself, I can only say, ugh. We won't visit their beer garden again because there are better ones

Nice, cozy beer garden with self-service. Places are mostly in light shade; otherwise there are parasols if required. Selection of drinks and food good and sufficient. There is a delicious selection for beer drinkers. I can't judge food myself - but I haven't heard anyone complain yet. Prices are acceptable. The staff is friendly, on the ball and helpful. We like to go here because we feel comfortable and also because it's close to home. There is a small playground for the children and storage areas for bikes within the area, which can be seen from practically every spot.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Obstgärtla. The staff was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. The prices are simply overpriced: €11.90 for a currywurst with fries without salad is simply unreasonable. The potato salad obviously comes from a bucket from the wholesale market and tastes like nothing. Another minus point: The beer glasses are “cleaned” in stale water and then simply filled. The price-performance ratio is really bad. The ambience is fine, but that alone isn't enough to save the overall impression. Definitely not a recommendation!

There is no service here, you have to serve yourself. This means that when the weather is nice, you can wait in line for ten minutes. Nevertheless, the beer garden is recommended, it's nice to sit in and the Aperol Sprizz tastes very good.

We had the apple fritters and the chocolate soufflé, each with vanilla ice cream and cream. For around €10 & €7. The chocolate soufflé was OK, but the apple fritters were unfortunately the worst we've ever had (neither tasty nor crunchy, soggy consistency) and the vanilla ice cream wasn't amazing either and was only a very small scoop each. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed.

We live in the area and have been coming to Obstgärtla for many years. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has continued to decline over the years. After today we draw a line in the sand when it comes to food. We had a cordon bleu that was fried/fried so long that the breading was as hard as a biscuit. There were also fries, some of which were undercooked and bit like raw potatoes. We also ordered 3 Franconian dishes with potato salad. Where the cordon bleu was fried for far too long, the bratwursts were on the grill too briefly. 2 out of 3 were completely raw in the middle and we had to let them fry under the “annoyed look” of the cook. In addition, some potato slices in the potato salad were not completely cooked through. In addition (like everywhere) the prices have risen, despite self-service (get your own food and drinks and clear them away yourself). The beer price is just about right for the proximity to the city. In the future, we will also only consume drinks and will mainly visit other beer gardens.

Was there for the first time today, the ambience was nice, like a beer garden should be. I was there with my cousin and family, got something to drink and we were told that there had been no fries since 11 a.m. I wanted to eat a currywurst. Ok, I thought that was a joke. Then we ordered something to eat, but first we asked again whether there were really no more fries and we were told yes. I then ordered the large snack plate for €14.90. Of course I was surprised why guests get meals with fries, even those who ordered after me. After a while I was able to pick up my food and it was already there. Then the waitress told me that this food was no longer available because there was no bread left. So then my pulse was already at 180. She asked me if I would like an Obatzter plate with a pretzel. Of course I said yes, I was hungry. I got the difference in change back. My cousin's friend then picked up her food and asked about the fries and the waitress at the food counter said that of course this wasn't true, there were fries, even a lady behind her confirmed this because she had been told the same thing. Sorry for the long text. Conclusion: I don't know if I can recommend it to you. Maybe you just had a bad day. I am not sure. But my food was still delicious, so I get a thumbs up for that.
