We stayed here on a half board weekend. The Leo restaurant serves a very rich breakfast and a great dinner: there are fresh, delicious salads and 2 warm dishes with side dishes. There is also always a vegetarian dish to choose from. Everything is really delicious. The staff is super nice and helpful.

The accommodation “Zum goldenen Anker” is located in the middle of the beautiful old town center of Coburg. The hotel is perfectly located and has a garage and a few outdoor parking spaces. Otherwise there are no parking options in the surrounding area. The staff/owners are super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and large. The breakfast was excellent. There is even the opportunity to freshly squeeze oranges and have omelettes or fried eggs made. Due to the very winding design, you can quickly get lost. We felt very comfortable these days.

The rooms are all newly renovated, the breakfast is really delicious and there is something for everyone! We keep coming back!

We have been regular customers for years, always book from one year to the next, really nice staff. Standing here today. The hotel is closed! Unbearable! Without any information to us, we are now on the street, thank you very much...

By far the worst hotel after 20 years of attending 15 trade fairs every year across Germany. For over 100 euros a night, I got a room that was more like a bathroom with a bed. No chair, no table, the toilet in the hallway one floor below, not even a cup for my toothbrush. There wasn't even a curtain over the small window, so your head was directly under it, exposed to daylight from 6 a.m. onwards. Of course, there was no refrigerator; the supposed restaurant was closed. If you get a bottle of beer from reception, you pay 4.90 euros for it.

The hotel no longer has a restaurant. Breakfast was ok. At this time of year we would have been pretty lost as everything around was closed. Ok for a few days to switch off but not for us for longer. Even in the 1970s, time stood still in terms of the ambience here.
