We went there for dinner. Simply perfect, would love to go back.

What a wonderful, balmy summer evening with a BBQ on July 4, 2025! We were able to sit in the beautiful garden the whole evening and enjoy everything. It felt so light and carefree, like it hadn't in a long time (like before COVID!). The food was great, and the staff/servers were all very dedicated and friendly. I'll be back on August 8th: We'll be there with 12 people. I hope this evening will be just as wonderful as before.

Nice parking space and everything you need

Used the Camper site. Very clean sanitary facilities. Delicious food in the restaurant. The Camper site is free with a meal in the restaurant.

We spent one night at the Ripken Society House while passing through. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and then stayed overnight for free in the RV parking space. The hosts and waiters were extremely friendly. We also really enjoyed the area around the hotel. We would stop here again anytime.

We spent two days with our motorhome at the on-site campsite. Although it's right next to the road, it's not overly noisy and quiet at night. The trees provided shade, making the heat bearable. We ate at the restaurant and had breakfast. The value for money is good. The service team is attentive and friendly. We'd be happy to come back if we're in the area again.

Excellent place to stay with camper. 10 euros per night or free if you use the restaurant. Good food for a friendly price. Also discharge of grey water and chemical toilet. Sanitary facilities are excellent. In short: recommended!

I spent a week at the Hotel Ripken during a training course. I highly recommend it. The rooms are fantastic, and the staff is simply fantastic. From the trained staff to the trainees, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent. I would love to come back.

Delicious food for young and old

During our family celebration in May of this year, we were treated to a culinary delight. The buffet, as discussed beforehand, was varied and plentiful, and the service was commendable. There was always someone nearby to assist us, without being intrusive. The guests also felt completely at home and gave only positive feedback. The kids, and not only the children, enjoyed the outdoor area in the perfect weather. A successful celebration in a beautiful location with delicious food. We'd love to come back!

Unforgettable Celebration at the Hotel Ripken We celebrated our eternal love at the Hotel Ripken – and we are absolutely thrilled! We received excellent advice right from the planning stage. The owners were always on hand to offer advice and support, catered to our individual requests, and had great recommendations – whether for flowers, DJs, or the ceremony itself. The outdoor ceremony took place in the lovingly decorated wedding garden, complete with seating, a gazebo, a romantic carriage, and a stylish champagne reception. Everything was perfectly prepared and executed with great attention to detail. The food was another highlight: plentiful, delicious, and very well received by all our guests. The service staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and dedicated – simply fantastic! We also loved the ambiance of the hotel: modern, stylish, yet cozy. Some of our guests stayed overnight at the hotel and were very pleased with the rooms. A particularly convenient feature: there's even a parking space for RVs.

We held our wedding reception at Ripken last month – and it was absolutely the right decision! From the very first conversation, we felt they were providing excellent advice. The preparation was professional, warm, and tailored to our wishes. From the drinks, some of which we were able to customize (non-alcoholic cocktails in addition, other alcoholic drinks according to our wishes), to the food that was put together especially for us, everything was just perfect. Especially on the day of the reception, everything was just perfect: The food was outstanding, the service attentive and super friendly, and the entire execution was perfectly organized down to the last detail. Our guests and we felt completely at home. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable day! We are happy to give them 5 stars – absolutely deserved! 🌟

We celebrated our wedding there and stayed there afterward. The organization before and afterward was so easy. No problems at all. Everything was implemented according to our wishes and ideas. Perfect and fast service, great food! The rooms were very modern and well-equipped. We highly recommend Ripken!

We arrived with our motorhome. The site is free if you eat at the hotel. It was delicious. The site has electricity for a fee, as well as toilets and, I think, showers. Everything was really nice. Definitely recommended for passing through.

Wedding ear good 👍 Breakfast in the morning too

First-class hotel management! We stayed here on the outbound journey to our little RV tour through Friesland in the Netherlands, and so we couldn't miss it on the return journey either!!! I've spent what feels like 25 years in hotels both nationally and internationally in my professional career; the Ripken Hotel would have been on my top list. Modern, down-to-earth, with first-class cuisine (a delight from the first to the last bite), and friendly staff. My only criticism is that the smokers stand right in front of the entrance door, which, for me as a non-smoker with not entirely healthy lungs, makes it difficult to "enter" such a beautiful hotel. So, a new challenge for management, since non-smoking is emphasized in all documentation for the rooms, apartments, etc. So, to put it bluntly, the entrance to the hotel is as if, figuratively speaking, a cart full of "pig manure had been placed at the reception"!!! We stayed here in the band touring area on our way to the event venue. After a very friendly telephone conversation, even parking a 40-ton semi-trailer truck was possible without any problems. We were already expected and given directions to park the truck. We were also served an excellent meal even after the kitchen closed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern and well-priced. The location is very quiet and rural. Despite two weddings taking place in the hotel, the rooms were chosen extra far away from the hustle and bustle, making them very quiet. Due to a very early departure, we unfortunately couldn't have breakfast – but the hotel immediately offered us a packed lunch. Truly wonderful. This hotel is now on our list. Thank you so much for everything!

We recently went to the Hotel Ripken for an event and had dinner. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. The service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

After we'd enjoyed a truly delicious asparagus meal, the cheeky Jerome Keller suggested a dessert: a crepe with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. A dream, and the visit was worth it just for that. We'd be happy to go back!

Friendly, approachable, and courteous service. A lovely country inn with excellent country-style cuisine and an attached hotel/guesthouse where you'll feel at home. The outdoor areas also offer a lovely ambiance. Always a great place for large family celebrations; the in-house events are also highly recommended.

A very nice, decent German hotel

Last year in October we celebrated our wedding at the Hotel Ripken in a small hall with around 55 people. We were completely satisfied and would always recommend the place to others. We received great support in the planning and even though we came from further away, the communication was wonderful and uncomplicated. Any wishes regarding the layout of the hall, the design of the reception in the green area and, above all, the food were implemented very well. The food received a lot of praise from guests. The food was presented on a rollable buffet, which was beautifully decorated and rolled into the room. The service on the day itself was very friendly and attentive. A big plus was the hotel was right next door, so our guests didn't have to drive after the party. The rooms are very modern and clean. The hotel is run in a very family way, which rubs off on the guests and everyone felt very comfortable.

Stayed overnight in our motorhome on a nice site. Electricity and free toilet. If you ate at the hotel, it didn't cost anything to stay the night. We ate the most amazing white asparagus with ham schnitzel. Highly recommended

We were on the mobile parking space. This is completely sufficient for overnight stays. There are clean sanitary facilities including a shower. However, this should be a little larger because the clothes don't stay completely dry. The shower time is long enough for €1. If you eat in the restaurant, the parking space is free and eating there is definitely worth it. In summary, highly recommended, nice people.

We celebrated our wedding here in 2024 and we couldn't have chosen a better location for the celebration. The organization in advance was very simple and uncomplicated. All changes and wishes were implemented. The food was very, very, very good and tasty. The service couldn't have been better either. Very attentive and yet reserved. The entire staff is very friendly and there is a family atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Thanks to the hotel, no one had to worry about how to get home after the party. The rooms are very modern and very clean. The breakfast the next morning was also great. All in all, it was the perfect location for our wedding and is highly recommended! We didn't know Ripken before, but we've definitely gained a new favorite restaurant!

Very tasty food (asparagus with schnitzel)

We enjoyed a birthday party with almost 100 guests at the Hotel Ripken, Hatten, at the beginning of April 2025. Really top! On a grand scale with great music, excellent food and really good service (the entire staff totally deserved the tip). Full five stars. We, my wife and I, and 16 other guests then spent the night at the Hotel Ripken. Great. The morning after, these guests reminisced together over a very good breakfast. But all the other guests at the celebration also spoke only about positive experiences, good service at Hotel Ripken and the delicious food - spectacularly presented on a rolling buffet. Hotel-Restaurant Gesellschaftshaus Ripken is an all-round good location for celebrating, eating and staying overnight! Five stars.

Hotel is highly recommended, is located a little outside of Oldenburg, but that makes it very quiet. The breakfast can use fresh fruit, otherwise everything you need is there.

We were traveling with our motorhome and were there. A very nice and friendly welcome. The food was excellent. The Polobello pitch and washrooms were clean. We'd love to come back.

The room was quite tidy and spacious. Towels were clean and plentiful. Service...we were only there for one night, so it's hard to judge. Location: Too far from everything for me. Fairly large parking lot. Reception, bar, restrooms, and the lounge are all on the ground floor and easily accessible, even with wheelchairs. We had a truly fantastic view at breakfast.

We were here in the motorhome for a long time, so I can't rate the rooms. The pitch is clean, the spaces are sufficiently large, electricity, water and waste disposal are available. There is a green area on the square that separates the square from the street. The cars passing by didn't bother us. There is a wash house with toilets and showers. You can also use the washing machine and dryer for a fee. The parking space fee of €10 daily will be charged if you eat something in the restaurant. The food was always very good, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Price/performance simply great. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

Cozy place. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Good home cooking. The staff is attentive and friendly. Air purifiers are available in every area. Registration is done via the luca app. The area is disinfected after each guest.

We celebrated a wedding here and rented a room, everything was done great, the conditions at the celebration were super nice and very quick if you needed something! And the room was very clean and nicely furnished, the breakfast was also very ok, there was everything there to eat and the service refilled everything very quickly if something was less! We spontaneously went there for dinner last week and had the steak platter for two. Everything was prepared to perfection and tasted great. A huge compliment to the kitchen. We are really looking forward to June 2026 when we get married there :)

Very good hotel with friendly and fast service, family run. We took part in a cabbage drive. The food was very tasty (especially the huge dessert buffet!) and varied. A vegetarian buffet was also available. The celebration was well organized! The location is quiet and easily accessible by car. To Oldenburg about 20-30 minutes

We are standing here with our motorhome on the very well-maintained parking space. There is also space for large vehicles. Everything is totally clean and tidy. Even a washing machine and a dryer are available for a fee. The food in the restaurant is great and highly recommended. We took the food with us to the motorhome. Super good, on normal dishes. Very environmentally friendly. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. We would love to come back here.

I was here for training and an exhibition. I didn't need to stay overnight. There is plenty of parking and even a few (5?) for RVs. The event rooms are very spacious, flexible and well equipped. The food was delicious and the service was very nice.

I was there for a seminar. The seminar rooms were very well maintained. It was plentiful and tasty and the service was friendly and always helpful.

Great Hotel. In a very good location, very quiet place 📍 not far from the highway. Very good restaurant, great meals. The rooms were very clean and well-equipped. Besides, it's a wonderful part of Friesland, Germany. I highly recommend it.

Were on the pitch with our motorhome. Showers and toilets very clean. Showering costs 1 euro for 5 minutes. Waste disposal is free, electricity is available for a fee. Parking space 10 euros, if you go to the restaurant in the evening the parking fees are waived. . Food was excellent, great quality. Nice, courteous staff, would love to come back. By the way, we were here with 4 dogs and got information about where to go for a walk. Thank you again for this.

We celebrated our wedding here on November 16th, 2024. The planning with Mr. Ripken began in March. We were very impressed with the communication and organization right from the start. On the evening of the festival we celebrated with almost 50 people. The service staff was noticeably quick and attentive throughout the evening and left nothing to be desired. A cheers also to the kitchen, the buffet was excellently prepared and we actually received nothing but positive comments about it from all our guests. There are certainly many pubs and restaurants that pay attention to the quality of the food and service, but paying attention to that is only half the battle. Here in Ripken it is offered and guaranteed. A great house.

When we were looking for a place to park for the night, we stumbled across this restaurant by chance. And we are very grateful to chance. As soon as you entered the house you were greeted so relaxed that you immediately felt at home. Our food was delicious, delicious, delicious. The kitchen has the best staff. Hats off to you for that. The service girls were scurrying around us like ants in a good mood. Then the bill came... and we have to say... top quality, top service, top ambience... worth every penny. And while I'm writing my review here, we're sitting comfortably in our camper next door on the motorhome parking space and sending warm greetings and a big thank you to the whole team. (Is my rating too thick? No, everything is true)

Coincidentally, we are in March this year. We have already been very satisfied guests here for 4 nights and have now booked again for 4 weeks based on our very good experiences. After a month's stay it was almost like being at home! This is probably also what is meant in the philosophy of the Ripken family, who visibly put every effort into running the business. Everything is well organized and is largely carried out by highly motivated family members. This motivation spreads to the rest of the workforce. It is really recommended to stop here, be it as a hotel guest, as an apartment guest or as a camper with a motorhome, everything is served first-class! And now a small update is due: Booked at the hotel from October 4th to October 7th, 2024 and was again very satisfied except for the bathroom/toilet arrangement! Unfortunately, room 57 was built so poorly that you have to twist your figure when you enter the shower or access the toilet!! In any case, the floor will be soaking wet due to the lack of properly fitting door seals... what a shame... but that was all we didn't like. We'll pay attention to it next time 😃

We celebrated the most beautiful wedding you could wish for at Ripken. The service was great, always friendly and accommodating. The staff always had a smile on their faces and kept an eye on everything. Everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic too! The advice and organization provided by the Ripken family in advance was also really exceptionally good. You never had to worry because everything was made possible and all wishes were taken into account. I would celebrate here again and again! Thank you! We had our children's wedding with a free wedding ceremony on September 13th, 2024 with 50 people. celebrated. The food was great, the staff was very friendly and everything worked. The Giros soup at night is also particularly recommended. The rooms were very clean and very large. I can only recommend the house. 5 stars*****

I can't write about the hotel rooms, the hotel is located directly on a thoroughfare, definitely a good location for meetings of companies, clubs, etc. The service is quick and friendly and there is something for every direction. Everything is fine, I wasn't convinced after visiting it several times. The quality of the food wasn't high enough for me.

Our annual Isetta meeting took us to Oldenburg this year. The Hotel Ripken, with its great area behind the hotel, was the hub of our beautiful and popular event. The hotel offers very nice rooms and is a family business where 3 generations work hand in hand. The constant friendliness and willingness to help, the extremely tasty food and the cozy atmosphere made all participants feel extremely comfortable. I've already mentioned the delicious food - but I would also like to emphasize that the kitchen actually managed to set up a buffet (or should I say "on wheels"), so that within 10 minutes max. all 240 Participants sat contentedly in front of filled plates. And all of this with absolutely great quality. At this point a big compliment to the chefs. The absolute highlight awaited us on the last day, when the hotel treated us to the finest dessert buffet. First the large hall was darkened and before we could even wonder, a huge dessert buffet - illuminated with the most beautiful colors - was pushed into the hall to the sounds of “Conquest of pardise” by Vangelis. We felt like we were on the “dream ship” and thanked them with thunderous applause. Dear Ripken family: once again our heartfelt thanks for everything. You have set the bar incredibly high for our meeting next year. I will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend your house.

I can only recommend the restaurant, having been there with a large group and as a couple with my wife. What should be highlighted is the friendly, unobtrusive and quick service from the staff. Here hunger is fought with quality.

We were visiting friends for a weekend and drove our motorhome to another place in Hatten, which turned out to be a disaster. We spontaneously moved to the Ripken parking space. Very friendly on the phone, the reception was absolutely lovely! A cheap, very clean motorhome parking space. The sanitary building was super clean! We stood there for free because we ate in the restaurant in the evening. If you don't find anything on the map, it's your own fault. Even vegetarian and vegan selections and very tasty!! Operation, service, everything was very friendly! The place is saved and we will definitely be happy to come back!! Thanks!

Quietly located. Good service!!!!

The hotel is very nice and the breakfast is delicious. However, there is a problem with mosquitoes disturbing sleep. It would be desirable if measures were taken to correct this problem.

We had booked 2 single rooms for the weekend for the Isetta meeting 2024. Unfortunately, our towing vehicle suffered engine failure on the way there and we had to cancel both rooms at the last minute. First of all, the phone call with the reception was super friendly and we were called back very promptly. The management then informed us that there would be no costs for the cancellation. I find that very accommodating and for this reason alone the hotel would have earned 10 stars. We will definitely visit this hotel at a later date. Thanks again

We celebrated our wedding at the Hotel Ripken and slept there together with a few of our guests. We really enjoyed our celebration, it may sound cheesy but for us it was actually the most beautiful day of our lives and the hotel team played a big part in it. Our guests also highly praised the food, service and ambience. During the meal, the different dishes were mentioned as being particularly good. Due to the large selection, we couldn't try everything ourselves, but what we did try was very tasty. A highlight was the arrival of the buffet, which created a “wow moment”. But apart from that there was nothing wrong with the service, not only at the wedding reception itself, but also at breakfast the next morning, as well as during arrival and departure. We certainly won't get married a second time, but we'll definitely eat there one or two times. We can definitely recommend the wedding location with a clear conscience.
