Althaching has been my absolute favorite restaurant in and around Munich for almost 12 years now. The quality of the food is top, it always comes quickly, it is very cozy and the prices are really fair. I hope that you will still be around in 50 years.

Prices OK, food was very tasty (venison goulash). All five of us enjoyed it. Updated 16/03/25, 10 months after the last review. From 4 stars down to 1 The food was OK, but things apparently escalated in the women's restroom. Someone seems to have exploded on the toilet, so the little one didn't want to eat anything else after the visit, and she didn't go to the bathroom either. With all the consequences for us afterwards. Staff walk through the guests with wet gloves and mops in their hands, loudly complaining about the mess.... Keep calm, clean up, get annoyed if you like, but as a paying customer, I don't want to hear about any of that. Lowest-than-average and completely lacking in class. I spoke to the waitress, no reaction, no apology, nothing. Wait time to pay: 15 minutes. Not exactly service-oriented either. At the front of the dining room, jokes are being made about the restroom escapade. More of a pub vibe, unfortunately not for us. We definitely won't be back. Another addendum to the reply: Unfortunately, that's not the case at all, and it makes a return visit completely unlikely. We pointed this out to the employee, as she only arrived afterwards. So please don't mix up the order. I thought the route leads through the dining room. No reason to come in from the restroom wearing gloves, take the wiper in the dining room, and loudly complain (just as loudly) about what a mess this is. I truly believe this was very unpleasant for you. Unfortunately, it was for us too. No chance to avoid it. All the best.

The service and the food were very good. We were served quickly and the food actually came relatively quickly, even though the restaurant was very busy. I would happily go back anytime.

We were only there for lunch. The menu offers some special dishes. The food was very, very good and also a generous portion. The restaurant is nice, rustically furnished. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The prices were okay for the quality, but some were a bit high.

Everything tasted very good and the condition was very nice.

I was there yesterday, but the inn is closed. No notice on the door, website or Google that it is closed. I experienced the same thing once after Easter. Is the inn closed forever????

Rating as a restaurant/pub. Right in the middle of the fun at a good hour. Anyone who wants to experience the “Nord Street scene” of the baby boomer and X generations has chosen an excellent location here. The Bavarian-style interior with a central bar immediately creates a good atmosphere at the entrance. It's not difficult to start a conversation here. Further through there are a few tables and also on the 1st floor. The menu is full of traditional Bavarian dishes and also other solid German dishes. I have eaten here three times and have never been disappointed. However, it wasn't outstanding either. Solid cuisine best describes it. The service is robustly rough and warm. The price/performance ratio was still okay in autumn 2024. There is also a small hotel integrated into the location, which I cannot rate. There are no parking spaces here. In summer there is also an outdoor area right next to a tram stop. At major events such as the European Football Championship and the World Cup, the games are also broadcast outside. In my opinion, I can give a recommendation to visit this district pub, the district restaurant.

My work colleagues and I spent a night in the Golden Ship. Our stay was very nice. The room was very clean and more than enough for one night and 5 people. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff was courteous. The best thing was the price-performance ratio and the location, both were unbeatable!!

Solid restaurant. Main courses and service were good. Meat was very tasty and fresh. Dumplings and potato salad are probably finished goods. Prices a little above average. Price/performance just okay. Roast pork just under €15, turkey schnitzel over €20. Constructive criticism: the salad was partly soggy. Salad should look and taste fresh. If you see it's yesterday's cucumbers and lettuce, it spoils the impression.
