Ein wunderschöner schattigen Biergarten, die Bedienung war super nett und freundlich, das Essen war erstklassig. Jeder Zeit einen Besuch wert. Herzlichen Dank!

Die Geburtstagsfeier war rundum sehr gelungen und bleibt in bester Erinnerung. Der Gastgeber hat mit viel Herzblut für eine großartige Atmosphäre gesorgt und alle Gäste wunderbar durch den Tag geführt. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die Erlebnisführung „Walhalla of Whisky“ sowie die Gewölbeführung. Beide Programmpunkte waren außergewöhnlich gestaltet, spannend aufbereitet und haben der Feier eine ganz besondere Note verliehen. Auch das Essen war hervorragend und hat ebenso begeistert wie die feine Auswahl an Whisky, die den Abend perfekt abgerundet hat. Insgesamt eine sehr stimmige Veranstaltung mit tollen Eindrücken, großartiger Bewirtung und einem engagierten Gastgeber, absolut empfehlenswert.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 9 Personen im Spitalkeller essen und sind restlos begeistert. Der Service war hervorragend – aufmerksam, freundlich und gut organisiert. Obwohl wir eine größere Runde waren, kam das Essen erstaunlich schnell. Ein besonderes Lob an die Küche: Die Pommes waren perfekt gewürzt und richtig schön kross, und auch der Rest der Gerichte hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können den Spitalkeller nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Interessanterweise taucht das Wirtshaus aus dem Nichts in einem Gewerbegebiet auf. Der Biergarten ist toll. Für Whisky-Liebhaber gibt es Slyer auch zum Selbstabfüllen und die Walhalla of Whisky ist gleich nebenan.

Wir waren gestern mit einer kleinen Gruppe im Spitalkeller zum Essen. Das Essen war hervorragend und wir hatten eine sehr gemütliche Runde mit Freunden und Bekannten. Im Anschluss hat ein Freund eine Führung organisiert. Der Wirt war sehr hilfsbereit und nahm uns mit in den alten Bierkeller, in dem vor über 100 Jahren Bier gelagert wurde. Die Führung war spannend und zugleich sehr interessant, vor allem die Geschichte des Spitalkellers und wie früher das Bier gekühlt wurde. Nach etwa 45 Minuten sind wir wieder ans Tageslicht gekommen. Ich kann das wirklich jedem empfehlen! Fragt bei der Reservierung einfach den Wirt, ob eine Führung möglich ist. Für uns war es ein beeindruckender Abend. Vielen Dank

Wir waren an einem Dienstagabend Ende März 2026 hier. Der junge Herr, der uns bedient hat, war superfreundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war leider durchwachsen. Das Gröstl schmackhaft und reichlich und der Salat mit Knoblauchbrot gross und richtig gut. Die Fischstäbchen mit Pommes der Kids war Convenience, aber ok. Schade war es um den Kalbsrahmbraten mit Waldpilzen. Das Gericht schmeckte leider komisch, was wir auch zurückgemeldet haben. Es wurde zwar nach genauem Feedback gefragt, was denn komisch sei und auch ein Kaffee angeboten, aber am Ende wurde das Gericht vollständig verrechnet. Etwas schade, denn grundsätzlich war es durch den aufmerksamen Herrn ein gemütlicher Abend und auch den Kindern hat es gefallen.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 30 Personen: alle waren begeistert vom leckeren Essen! Das Highlight war die Eiskeller Führung. Die bewegten Bilder bringen die Arbeiten des Bierkellers aus den früheren Zeiten gut rüber. Die Erklärungen des Chefs waren kurzweilig und sehr interessant.

Great service, but unfortunately, we didn't like any of the dishes (ham hock, roast pork, Regensburger schnitzel). Maybe we were unlucky or tastes differ; unfortunately, this is no longer a place for us.

Delicious food, friendly service, cool atmosphere. We made a reservation. Definitely a good idea for larger groups! The two young gentlemen who served us were both very friendly and did a great job :) My main course and dessert were delicious. Great interior - love for whiskey ;)

The pork roast was disappointing. Only a small piece of the crust, the meat rather tough and difficult to cut. The sauerkraut was okay, nothing special, but edible. The dumplings were solid, well-made. The biggest weakness was definitely the sauce – watery and completely lacking in depth of flavor. For a dish that essentially relies on its sauce, that's a definite minus point.

Always worth a visit. Very good food, friendly service, and a great beer garden. Parking available in the courtyard. I'm always happy to come back.

The beer garden itself is very nice. There are several levels where you can sit, some paved, some gravel. There are great play areas for children, all within direct view of the seats. If you want to enjoy truly great Bavarian food, this is the beer garden you should choose. I had the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, and it tasted absolutely wonderful. The nice thing is that the sauce really only contained mushrooms, since these days, it's not often just mushrooms that are served with a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce. The small side salad was also very good and exactly what I would expect from a pub. What I particularly liked was that they used grated radishes instead of onions. They had a similar flavor but were simply more pleasant if you're not a big onion fan. For dessert, there was an iced chocolate, which tasted exactly like the ones from my childhood, with lots of whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The coated and baked apple rings were truly a dream and simply perfect for dessert. They were a dream of cinnamon, not too sweet. The dough was beautifully crispy on the outside. The apple was fluffy on the inside, and it also had the perfect consistency and tasted fantastic. All in all, highly recommended and a truly great meal! Unfortunately, I didn't like the beer that much. The service lost one star because the waiter on our level seemed a bit sleepy...

Probably suitable for tourists, but there will probably be fewer regulars. First, it took a long time for me to place a drink order, then it took another long time for the Kellerbier to arrive at my table. There was hardly any foam on it, so it had been sitting for a while. But the beer was really good. Unfortunately, due to the waitress's ignorance, I couldn't place a food order with the beer. Only after I'd drunk half the beer did I get her attention... I'd been ignored several times before. Well, I ordered food, everything was fine. From my seat, I could see the food counter... there were food sitting under the warming lamp for over 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my schnitzel was under the lamp for that long, unnoticed. The taste unfortunately suffered as a result. The food was finally on the table... I reordered beer, at least it worked... A little tip for the kitchen: salt and pepper were nice... reordering didn't work, unfortunately. I probably wouldn't have seen the food anyway, as it was almost gone by the time the beer arrived. Finally, when I paid, they simply took the tip for themselves. They simply pocketed the bills and put the bill on the table. A little tip for anyone who doesn't really want to tip: give the exact amount. I definitely won't be coming here again. I hope for the sake of the restaurant that this is an isolated incident, otherwise it will soon run out of customers.

I went there last night for dinner, currywurst with fries. The portion of fries was ridiculously small, and the sauce looked like it came from Hipp baby food. Sorry, folks, but I'm used to that place. The original Regensburg sausage salad was made with a Jagdwurst (Metro sausage). Is that even possible?? What's even original here?? You can drink a good beer there, but the food—I don't anymore!

The food is good, but a schnitzel with small fries and a small salad for 18.50 is a bit pricey. The beer garden is nice, and the staff is great.

Huge beer garden with a children's playground. Delicious beer, and the food is incredibly tasty. We stopped by for lunch while passing through. Next time I pass by, I'll definitely pay another visit.

Six of us were in the beer garden. The ambiance and service were excellent. I wouldn't eat there again. In my opinion, the photos don't reflect reality. The schnitzel (approx. €19) was pounded so thin that it was impossible to tell if any meat had been used. A normal adult man wouldn't get full. The fries were very good, though. The large salads we ordered (with delicious chicken breast for €18) with seasonal salads consisted of cheap iceberg lettuce, a slice of cucumber, half a tomato, and a small spoonful of carrots. Sorry, in July, I imagine something different when I think of seasonal leaf lettuce in a pub, especially one near the Winzerer vegetable growers. Cheese (Obatzter style/suggests cheap) comes with a slice of bread. Completely absurd. After reordering four times, I still got two (payable) slices. Everything was carelessly thrown onto the plates. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is completely out of whack. Consumers should get used to the price structure these days. However, given the prices charged here, I expect high-quality food and dishes. I don't want to spend my precious money just on the ambiance. I can do that elsewhere. I'm writing a review because I was truly disappointed.

I've just discovered it, and for €10 at lunch, it really sweetens my workday. It's a great takeaway at a great price. Now I'm even more excited about going to work. :) <3

Service was very friendly. The food was a disaster. The Chicken Cheese BBQ consisted of a white chicken leg that wasn't even cooked through. After I complained, I was offered an espresso... No words... No customer service at all. After a while, the manager came over and offered me 50% off the meal. I thought that was fairly fair. Hence the addition.

Super friendly staff, a very nice restaurant, and great food. We were given a tour of the historic cellar by the manager, even though it was very busy. We were a bit late because we thought the hospital cellar and the hospital garden belonged together. But that wasn't the case. We arrived after a short walk and had a lovely evening with great food. Highly recommended.

Beer garden is ok. But inn upstairs on the first floor is very used to need, no longer according to time, also no longer feels pleasant.

The beer garden and restaurant offer a lot of ambience. The food is excellent and there is a nice selection of drinks. The beer garden is quite large and is also suitable for public viewing events in summer. I've only been to the restaurant once. The furnishings correspond to the typical tavern charm, somewhat modernized.

Best biergarten especially if you have kids. Vast menu, with lots of options, good food. Fast service. But the best is that they have a small playground for the kids to have fun in the stay. They also show on big screens some football games which makes a great atmosphere.

We spent New Year's Eve 2024 in the hospital basement. The event was excellently organized. The food was excellent, although the quality is usually not great at such large events. Here, however, the quality of the food was first class. A small point of criticism concerns the dessert: this was probably not the kitchen's best decision. The service is in no way inferior to the quality of the food. The young lady who looked after us for over six hours (we were a group of nine people) was extremely motivated, in a very good mood and extremely personable and very friendly. The innkeeper was also at the table with us and looked after our group and tried to ensure our satisfaction. He also set off some great fireworks. So we had a really nice New Year's Eve. Thank you.

A quaint restaurant and a great beer garden that also has a lot to offer for children. Food is very good and plentiful, in terms of price I would say it is rather upscale, but it could also be the norm now, I don't know. Service is actually great too, only in the evenings, when the beer garden slowly empties out, you see the waitresses much less often, so you get the feeling that you should please go slowly... Apart from that, absolute recommendation!

Classic Bavarian cuisine with very good quality. Nice, partially newly renovated ambience. For me, the beer garden outside is one of the 2-3 most beautiful in Regensburg, but it is not overrun with tourists. Predominantly local audience, that speaks for itself. Location a little outside the center, that may also be an advantage. Still within walking distance if necessary, otherwise parking around is not a problem.

After almost an hour and asking, our food was warmed up again. It was ready to be issued forever. Unfortunately we were naive enough to eat something and pay for the meal. There wasn't enough Aperol either. Drink was on the house. OK. The waitress was nice and visibly embarrassed. The boss reacted absolutely wrongly. The food should have been newly cooked. Roast without crust???

Class. It's very hidden in an area where you wouldn't expect it. Nicely done. The portions are large and the quality is impeccable.

Simple Bavarian cuisine. The young boys (seemingly 17 years old) who were serving as waitresses are a bit overwhelmed (or haven't been in the Brance for long). Ordered a table for 6 people. We got a table for 5, even though the guest rooms were empty except for 2 occupied tables. We then got ourselves a chair. There weren't enough cutlery and napkins either, so we had to get them from the next table. Flammkuchen, salad, Kässpätzle and Bay. Snack was served. It's all ok. Loveless ice cream sundae for dessert. But the beer was great. A thank you, or have a nice evening, or hello would also have been nice...

We live very close to the restaurant and we always enjoyed going there. But unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly this season. It all started with a beer glass that still had lipstick on it. After I complained about it, it was replaced immediately. Today we had, among other things, a mixed salad with baked chicken breast. The salad was slippery and the chicken was hard and tough, which indicates poor quality goods. I got a cold tarte flambée. Unfortunately, the walnuts listed on the menu, which I was really looking forward to, were also missing. The vegetables on the tarte flambée were also absolutely not fresh. All a real disappointment! However, I have to say that the service was absolutely great. Very understanding of our complaints and absolutely friendly.

A bit difficult without a reservation. We still got a table and the food was plentiful and tasty. Everyone can find something to eat and drink. Very nice and shady. Even a stair lift up to the first floor, but then gravel and a little difficult for wheelchair users, but possible.

I had dinner here in the evening with a cycling group of over 20 people. The Orders for drinks and food were taken quickly. The drinks were served quickly. The waiting time for the food was longer because the beer garden was full. The beer garden is hidden and cannot be seen from the street. The atmosphere of the beer garden is great.

There were ten of us here on a Sunday evening and got a round table in the beer garden. The beer garden is beautiful, especially when the weather is good. In general, the whole atmosphere is very traditional Bavarian, the staff is very polite and the food is also very authentic and delicious. We had several dishes from salad, schnitzel, onion roast to Kaiserschnarn and everyone was happy with the food.

Unfortunately I can't give a single star for the food. Suckling pig knuckles with two types of dumplings, the latter was only 1 type of dumpling without prior notice. The sauce was terrible, indescribably almost like the sauce of a Rhenish sauerbraten mixed with something sweet or probably mixed. It had nothing to do with pork gravy at all. It's a real shame, the other meals didn't score either. It was a birthday invitation and the bill came to 121.10 euros, a shame for the money.
