The inn serves good beer. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The portions were large. The value for money is good. Definitely recommended.

The food was really good, the atmosphere was nice. However, the service wasn't so satisfactory – there was hardly anyone at our table to ask if we needed anything else, orders were forgotten, and no one had been at our table for the last hour. Even when we announced that we wanted to pay, no one came, and we ended up having to go inside to say we wanted to pay again, and we paid inside. It's a shame.

A lovely place to stay in Regensburg. Easily accessible by bus. Parking available. Clean rooms, super friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and food. A cozy, shady beer garden. Quiet location. I've been here three times. I'll be back...

Very unfriendly and completely unprofessional service! I ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes, and was served schnitzel with potato salad. When I pointed it out, the waiter returned with the same plate and simply said we must have "misunderstood" each other – whether the potato salad would be enough. A correction? No such thing. Instead, I was offered espresso or fruit brandy, even though I don't drink either. Anyone who treats guests like that shows that service doesn't matter. A clear failure in my opinion – definitely not recommended!

Nice beer garden with good beer and delicious fries. Unfortunately, the currywurst and schnitzel also came from the deep fryer. Overall, the prices were quite high, and even the salad, at over €20, seemed expensive. The service was friendly, but rarely present at the table.

Top-notch inn. We stayed there for the second time as a stopover. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are incredibly clean. The dinner and breakfast buffet are highly recommended. The beer, straight from the brewery, is simply fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

I can only review the food here. Yesterday, five of us went to eat in the busy beer garden. Our orders were taken by a very friendly young lady. The drinks arrived quickly. The food (schnitzel, fish, sausage salad) also arrived promptly and at the same time. Everything was very tasty and we enjoyed it immensely. I'd like to give the young lady who served us an extra 🌟. We'll be happy to come back.

The Bischofshof Gaststube is an absolute insider tip (or classic!) for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine in a rustic and cozy atmosphere. You feel welcome from the moment you enter – the service is warm, attentive, and thoroughly professional. The food was excellent: fresh, regional, and prepared with love. I particularly recommended the [insert a specific dish here, e.g., "Bierbratl mit Knödel" or "Zwiebelrostbraten"]. The Bischofshof's own beer also perfectly rounds off the culinary experience. The location right next to the historic old town makes the visit even more special – it's a wonderful place to stroll through Regensburg before or after. All in all, a great place for a relaxed meal with friends or family – we'll definitely be back!

We went there for dinner this evening. Unfortunately, I have to say the food was truly awful, with zero flavor. I had cheese spaetzle, which I wouldn't recommend. Others had Kaiserschmarrn, which is supposedly flambéed in rum, but you can't taste the rum at all. Service was okay; the ashtray wasn't even changed once. It must be said that the beer garden wasn't even full; the staff were completely overwhelmed with the few customers; two good conditions could have easily handled it. The prices are completely exorbitant, which doesn't reflect the quality. And in my opinion, it's a disgrace that the manager doesn't even come to the table and say hello. He's so full of himself and can't do anything. As long as this tenant is on his toes, I won't go there again. Any snack bar is better than this one.

I stayed overnight...and for dinner. Room: simple but clean (no refrigerator, no air conditioning). Nothing to complain about. Good inn. Beer: upon request: unfortunately, tasting different varieties wasn't possible. Too bad. I tried small beers instead. Everyone's taste is certainly different, so you can decide for yourself. .The wheat beer... OK. The pilsner... no, it lacks finesse and flavor. The lager... full-bodied, yes, I'd go back. The food: beer garden quality (I mean, I'm sitting there, too, what more could you want). The sausages. Good quality sausage meat, the herbs in it, really interesting. But the sausage... not even properly cooked. That's nothing! Comes with bread and cabbage, good average. Service: attentive and friendly. PS: When I checked in, I received a drink voucher for a beer. Very nice, thank you 😊

A quaintly furnished inn with very friendly staff. In addition to the set menu, there are daily specials. The food was relatively good, but the high price isn't justified; a roast pork for €15 would have been a bit better quality.

Lovely little hotel just outside the old city zone. Rooms quite nice. Very clean. Breakfasts were very good as well. Has a restaurant & beer garden that were great to relax in and had tasty food at reasonable prices. Right next to a brewery, but the only thing you note was the great beer from that brewery. No industrial noise or anything else. One thing to note is that Monday is their "down" day. Other than breakfast and room cleaning, there are absolutely no services or staff on Monday. Not a soul. You get a key to enter and access your room, but the rest of the hotel is empty and locked up tight. Kinda weird, but still a great little hotel.

Five of us went there for dinner today. Service was quick and very friendly. The food was nicely prepared but had a very bland taste throughout. I wonder how you can make such a bad potato salad. Almost inedible. I would never offer this to my guests privately. I won't go there again and unfortunately I can't recommend it.

After the brewery tour in the Bischofshof brewery, we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the brewery. The dishes tasted really good and the portions were normal. The staff was courteous and uncomplicated. When we are in Regensburg again, we would love to come here again!

The two of us weren't in the hotel but in the and visited it twice independently, within three days of visiting Regensburg. I would describe our food as Bavarian, home-style and the plates were both completely eaten and that is not a given these days as I cook demandingly myself. The weather wasn't that good for the beer garden. Facilities, in my opinion, Bavarian traditional but not exaggerated Staff, friendly helpful! Thank you Ms. Schäfer‼️ Recommended and in warm weather in the beer garden it will definitely increase even further.

Rating the food and beer garden: They have a lovely beer garden, perfect for sunny days. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although turkey schnitzel is not usually on the menu, they kindly made an exception for me—which I really appreciated. The dish "looked" absolutely delicious, and I was initially very pleased. However, once I began eating, I noticed an unusual and unidentifiable taste. It didn't taste like turkey at all. I genuinely couldn’t enjoy the meal. I can’t pinpoint exactly what the issue was—perhaps the meat had been recooked, was of lower quality, or wasn’t turkey breast at all. Whatever the case, something felt off, and it affected my experience. To their credit, the staff did check in and ask for feedback. I chose not to share my dissatisfaction at the time, as I didn’t want to potentially disrupt the overall pleasant atmosphere. I wasn’t sure how my feedback would be received, and I preferred to keep the mood positive.

We had a very, very delicious meal and friendly service. The young man checked on us several times and was always friendly and not pushy. The meal itself was a large portion, the meat was very good, the carrots were cooked just right, and the spaetzle and sauce were very well-matched and complemented the rest. We'll definitely be back and will be treated to a great meal again.

We ate here for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. Huge portions, very friendly service, and parking right next to the restaurant (a huge plus given the area, as it's in the middle of a residential area and close to hospitals). My meat was tender and pink, the carrots still had a slight bite but were cooked through and perfectly seasoned. And the fried potatoes were a dream! It's a bit on the expensive side, but my meal was worth every cent because it was so delicious! We'll definitely be back!!!!

The highlight of my visit was definitely the pork knuckle – it was tender, juicy and perfectly crispy! There were also the best dumplings I have ever eaten. They were wonderfully fluffy and went perfectly with the knuckle. And the beer! The house beer was refreshing and of excellent quality – a must for any beer lover. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more pleasant. You really feel welcome here. I can only warmly recommend the Bischofshof Braustubn!
