Bischofshof Braustuben in Regensburg

Lovely little hotel just outside the old city zone. Rooms quite nice. Very clean. Breakfasts were very good as well. Has a restaurant & beer garden that were great to relax in and had tasty food at reasonable prices. Right next to a brewery, but the only thing you note was the great beer from that brewery. No industrial noise or anything else. One thing to note is that Monday is their "down" day. Other than breakfast and room cleaning, there are absolutely no services or staff on Monday. Not a soul. You get a key to enter and access your room, but the rest of the hotel is empty and locked up tight. Kinda weird, but still a great little hotel.

Five of us went there for dinner today. Service was quick and very friendly. The food was nicely prepared but had a very bland taste throughout. I wonder how you can make such a bad potato salad. Almost inedible. I would never offer this to my guests privately. I won't go there again and unfortunately I can't recommend it.

After the brewery tour in the Bischofshof brewery, we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the brewery. The dishes tasted really good and the portions were normal. The staff was courteous and uncomplicated. When we are in Regensburg again, we would love to come here again!

Very tasty food (I had the summer schnitzel) at a fair price. Plenty of parking space directly in front of the inn. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately we didn't get anything to eat

The two of us weren't in the hotel but in the and visited it twice independently, within three days of visiting Regensburg. I would describe our food as Bavarian, home-style and the plates were both completely eaten and that is not a given these days as I cook demandingly myself. The weather wasn't that good for the beer garden. Facilities, in my opinion, Bavarian traditional but not exaggerated Staff, friendly helpful! Thank you Ms. Schäfer‼️ Recommended and in warm weather in the beer garden it will definitely increase even further.

Rating the food and beer garden: They have a lovely beer garden, perfect for sunny days. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although turkey schnitzel is not usually on the menu, they kindly made an exception for me—which I really appreciated. The dish "looked" absolutely delicious, and I was initially very pleased. However, once I began eating, I noticed an unusual and unidentifiable taste. It didn't taste like turkey at all. I genuinely couldn’t enjoy the meal. I can’t pinpoint exactly what the issue was—perhaps the meat had been recooked, was of lower quality, or wasn’t turkey breast at all. Whatever the case, something felt off, and it affected my experience. To their credit, the staff did check in and ask for feedback. I chose not to share my dissatisfaction at the time, as I didn’t want to potentially disrupt the overall pleasant atmosphere. I wasn’t sure how my feedback would be received, and I preferred to keep the mood positive.

We had a very, very delicious meal and friendly service. The young man checked on us several times and was always friendly and not pushy. The meal itself was a large portion, the meat was very good, the carrots were cooked just right, and the spaetzle and sauce were very well-matched and complemented the rest. We'll definitely be back and will be treated to a great meal again.

We ate here for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. Huge portions, very friendly service, and parking right next to the restaurant (a huge plus given the area, as it's in the middle of a residential area and close to hospitals). My meat was tender and pink, the carrots still had a slight bite but were cooked through and perfectly seasoned. And the fried potatoes were a dream! It's a bit on the expensive side, but my meal was worth every cent because it was so delicious! We'll definitely be back!!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Bischofshof Braustubn in Regensburg and it was simply fantastic! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a social evening. The highlight of my visit was definitely the pork knuckle – it was tender, juicy and perfectly crispy! There were also the best dumplings I have ever eaten. They were wonderfully fluffy and went perfectly with the knuckle. And the beer! The house beer was refreshing and of excellent quality – a must for any beer lover. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more pleasant. You really feel welcome here. I can only warmly recommend the Bischofshof Braustubn! A perfect place to enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine. I'll definitely be back! 🍻🥨

The Bischofshof brewery is an absolute insider tip in Regensburg! Here, Bavarian cosiness, excellent food and excellent beer combine to create a perfect experience. The food is fantastic - from the crispy pork knuckle to the homemade dumplings, everything tastes like traditional Bavarian cuisine. There is also the freshly tapped Bischofshof beer, which is simply incomparable. The service is friendly, attentive and ensures that you immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is rustic, designed with great attention to detail, and the beer garden is particularly good to enjoy on warm days. If you're in Regensburg, you definitely shouldn't miss the Bischofshof brewery - an absolute recommendation!

We had dinner there on Saturday with 6 people. On the one hand, we noticed that the prices are exorbitantly expensive. Our pork fillets were great, the champion cream sauce only tasted like boiled cream and the carrot vegetables were also bland without any hint. Parsley or something like that. 26 EUR for this is a disgrace. You can get it in Neutraubling or Obertraubling for a much better taste for 16 - 19 EUR. But in general I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone for these prices. Then it's better to go to the Parzefall or the hotel at Gärtnerplatz in Neutraubling. You get a much better portion for 30% less of the price... Or Goldener Hirsch in the west, to Walba... You'll have a nicer evening anywhere than there. Fries were uninspired. Taste like a 5 EUR pack from the metro. Here, too, I don't see the price on the goods. Service was super friendly and very accommodating.

We had made a reservation at the Bischofshof Braustuben for this Sunday at 1 p.m., only to find out that the entire Sunday menu was not available. That was extremely disappointing because we had made a special reservation and I am of the opinion that you have to give information like that over the phone or at least mention that you have to put whatever food you want back. We enjoyed eating here often, but unfortunately after this experience we won't be coming back. I'd say we walked on a Sunday with two children 👍🏼

Great quaint guesthouse in an inconspicuous area. The food was simple, but good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and helpful regarding children.

We were there with a large group and pre-ordered the food. The waitresses were great, the drinks always came quickly and everything was perfect. Unfortunately we had to wait two hours for the food, even though we had already announced the dishes beforehand. For the price (35€ for two drinks, schnitzel and soup) the food wasn't particularly good. Unfortunately I was really disappointed here.

Our visit last Friday was an absolute disaster. The three Aperol Spritzes that were ordered were inedible - neither did they have anything in common with an Aperol Spritz in terms of taste apart from the color, nor could you drink them, unfortunately they were simply inedible. The food was equally disappointing. The schnitzel in pretzel breading had a pungent meaty taste, the breading seemed and tasted very burnt. The frying oil was probably simply not changed regularly. The potato salad was inedibly sour, only the fresh radishes as a garnish were the “highlight of the evening”. In the end all we had to do was share a mediocre currywurst between the three of us, return two dishes and three drinks almost untouched for the first time in my life (we tried with the best will in the world as we are not fans of food waste, but it was unreasonable). ) – and we paid 70 euros for it. This inn offers an underground quality. I would advise everyone not to visit!

Entenhaxen alles gut sauce Knödel Ente Preis..schweine krustenbraten: gut sauce Knödel..nicht gut: für 18 Euro 90 erwartet man nicht das billigste fette Brüstl eher ein Schaufele... und es wäre mal angebracht zumindest die Haltungsklasse oder Herkunft des Tieres anzugeben..
