Typisch bayrisch eingerichtet ,aber das Essen ist qualitativ nicht zu empfehlen.

Unglaublich tolle, freundliche und flotte Bedienung! Das Essen war ok, für mich etwas unterwürzt. Auf der Terasse saßen wir sehr gemütlich.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit einer schönen Veranda, gutem Essen, kaltem Bier und hervorragendem Service.

Haben mit 6 Personen hier gegessen. Waren alle sehr zufrieden mit dem Service. Das Essen war auch relativ schnell da und es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wenn wir wieder in Gap sind, sehr gerne kommen wir wieder.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Bräuwastl und kommen gerne wieder. Herzlicher Empfang, freundliche Bedienung und humane Preise stehen hier vermutlich auf der Tagesordnung, zumindest haben wir es so empfunden. Daumen hoch!

Uriger Laden mit tollem Ambiente. Der Salat als Beilage war reichlich, allerdings hat dem Dressing etwas Würze und Essig gefehlt. Die Käsespätzle waren lecker und hausgemacht, aber auch etwas salzarm. Jägerbraten top!

Netter Service. Für das große Glas mit Eiswürfeln kann ich nur nochmal herzlich Dankeschön sagen! Mein Spargel war etwas zerkocht. Geschmacklich gut. Gekochter anstatt roher Schinken Geschmackssache. Leider wirkt alles nicht frisch zubereitet, wenn es nach 3 Minuten auf dem Tisch steht.

Hervorragender Service, zwei Mal in vier Tagen hier gegessen. Jeder Sonderwunsch wurde erfüllt. Urig, lecker... Immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren zum 2. Mal in 4 Tagen hier und es war einfach lecker 😋 und wunderbar. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar und die Bedienung immer freundlich und entgegenkommend. Es ist bayrisch urig und gemütlich. Gerne wieder.

Das Essen und der Service verdienen 5+ Sterne. Die Wartezeit ist kurz, die Portionen sind großzügig und die Preise wirklich günstig. Das Restaurant bietet täglich ein Tagesgericht an, das immer eine gute Wahl ist.

Ein köstliches Abendessen. Das Wiener Schnitzel war fantastisch.

Das Essen ist sehr gut! Und dazu noch preiswert. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist, dass kein englischsprachiges Personal zur Verfügung steht. :)

If you're looking for good, traditional German cuisine, this is the place to go. Despite not having a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and given a table. The food was of outstanding quality, the kind you rarely find these days (real "grandma cooking"). The service was truly excellent and very friendly, and the atmosphere was very inviting. A definite recommendation for anyone who values ​​quality and hospitality.

Came in with a party of 27 and was seated in their banquet room. Food came out fast, hot and wonderfully prepared. Gasthaus Bräuwastl is a must! The service was exceptional, and everything on the menu is delicious!

WOW! I would highly recommend this restaurant. We are visiting from the U.S. and are using Google translate when needed. The menu has the main dishes printed in German and also in English. We were easily able to order a delicious meal. We had the pig knuckle with dumpling and gravy, and pork roast with gravy and boiled potatoes. The dishes came with the most delicious red cabbage I've ever eaten. We were very full from eating just the meals, or we would have ordered a dessert. The atmosphere was relaxed with a lot of customers relaxing & playing games while enjoying food & drinks. This place looks like the hub of the community. It was also immaculately clean & easy to find. Thanks for a great meal!

Traditional German cuisine. Very tasty.

We spontaneously decided to visit Bräuwastl on a Friday evening. Luckily for us, they had pork knuckle with dumplings and red cabbage that day! The knuckle was excellent! While we ate, someone was playing Stoßbuddel (a kind of table skittles) in the dining room, which we found quite entertaining. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we returned to our hotel full and satisfied after our meal.

After four years, I ate at the restaurant again because I had enjoyed it so much the first time. I was delighted once more. They accommodated special requests and even fulfilled my specific wishes. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was friendly, and the restaurant had a charming, rustic style. We'll be back on our next vacation!

The food is fantastic, except for the Kaiserschmarrn, which I don't recommend. The service is prompt and always friendly, despite the busy times. Reservations are essential. You absolutely have to go.

Very tasty food. I really enjoyed it. I had the fresh roast pork with potato salad and red cabbage. The gravy was just right and very good. Not salty like at other restaurants. It was great. The prices were also completely reasonable and relatively inexpensive. I enjoyed it best here during our vacation.

We went to this restaurant for dinner with several people. Apart from the portion sizes, we found everything to be fine. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Stopped in for lunch. Very quaint and inviting dining area. We were greeted by the hostess with a large smile and were seated. Unfortunately we did not speak fluent German. The hostess was able to accommodate us with English menu's and she spoke English well. After ordering a Dunkel...lunch was served! A Schnitzel (Paniert) was what we shared. The breading was crisp, the mushroom gravy exquisite and the house fries (Not Pommes) were perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ate every bite. Normally we do not order dessert....but "When in Rome!" Absolutely amazing desert. Apple strudel with ice cream. The strudel was warm and soft with a perfect balance of sweetness. The ice cream....my goodness amazing vanilla. We left comfortable and full. Paid under 30 Euros for the entire meal and drinks. Bathrooms are VERY clean and the staff was so welcoming. Thank you for sharing this amazing Bavarian flavor to us visitors!!

Very lovely restaurant, food was great, waiters were very friendly, atmosphere was perfect, and the price was a bit cheaper in comparison with restaurants in same range!

I ate at this restaurant and I'm a bit torn. The service was really friendly and attentive. However, the food itself didn't impress me: The cheese spaetzle was quite bland and needed a whole lot more seasoning, and the schnitzel portion was quite small, so I didn't think the price of almost €20 was justified. Overall, not a total failure, but not really recommendable either.

Unfortunately, the food tasted very bland and like it had been reheated. Furthermore, it was only lukewarm when it arrived at the table, and the sauce felt very much like a thin, ready-made sauce. A real shame considering the lovely location.

An authentic restaurant where everything is just right, and instead of industrial potatoes, they serve hand-peeled potatoes. The food tastes delicious! Highly recommended!

What a lovely visit. Food just like mom's. The service was incredibly friendly; you could tell she enjoyed her work. The price/performance ratio was very reasonable.

We were passing through from Italy. The service was very nice and friendly, and the food was good and plentiful.

Substandard. The fried potatoes weren't fried at all and were more like boiled potatoes. The schnitzel was burnt and coated in a sad breading.

The food, schnitzel with potato salad, wasn't particularly good. It was poorly presented, and the plate suddenly became so hot that I burned my fingers when I handed it to it. Very poor "home cooking" at best. It's better at any snack bar. The service wasn't attentive or friendly; they didn't even ask if everything was OK or if I enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; it's terrible...

Perfect place, sensational service, very classy

A dream of an inn. The service, the food, and above all, the incredibly friendly and welcoming manner of the waitress. The inn was full, but she was still super sweet and friendly. A compliment to the kitchen as well. Truly delicious. The prices are great. A truly wonderful experience for us.

The service was friendly and courteous. Although I was a bit late for lunch, she offered me four different menus from which I could choose. The food and drinks arrived quickly, looked appealing, and were very good. I found the ambiance typical of this region. It was clean and welcoming.

What a disappointment! We ate together, but unfortunately my meal arrived much earlier than my wife's, so we ate separately. The waitress asked me: Is everything okay? I said we can't sit together and eat separately! I can't decide that, it's just what the kitchen tells us, was her reply. When she asked again if everything was okay, I said no. I said it was our last evening here and we had imagined it differently. What would you like, a coffee or a drink? Why are we talking about it, it was a great day! She really doesn't understand, or doesn't want to understand. That's why we're not giving it a star! But unfortunately it has to be a 1 to publish my review.

This is nearby where we were staying.. The food was good and the waitress spoke English. Germans don't use credit cards very much, So cash is preferred. However, they will ask you to come inside if you need to use your credit card. Germans love drinking beer so almost everyone had a beer in their hand. The beer here is very good, I am very picky with my beer.

The food arrived after just 6 minutes. One was schnitzel with champignon sauce and spaetzle, and one was Swiss sausage salad. The schnitzels were already cooked and were simply thrown back in the fryer to warm up. The sauce came from a bag and was very, very thin. Spaetzle were okay. The Swiss sausage salad was okay. It consisted of sausage, cheese, onions, and cucumber juice as a dressing. The bread was fresh and delicious. In summary: If you want to eat quickly and inexpensively, this is the place to go. Including food and drinks, we were only there for 30 minutes. The service was excellent! Extremely friendly and personable, but we had to fill the water bowl provided for the dog ourselves 🐕 when we asked 🤔, but oh well....

Good food in a cozy atmosphere.

We stopped there for dinner on our way home from Italy. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The food was delicious. Definitely recommended.

On the plus side, service - efficiently and quickly served dishes, but the rest is like pretending to be a Bavarian restaurant, and the bitterness overflowed with the item Schnizel Wiener Art. Served 2 cutlets that have nothing to do with the name on the menu. Prices too high considering the quality of the dishes served. For me, this is the first and last visit.

I give 2 stars for service and short waiting time. Everything else unfortunately.... Dishes spatzle champignonsauce price too high regarding the amount of mushrooms and sauce. Schnitzel Wiener Art that schnitzel eaten here in Bavaria and known as Wiener schnitzel is unfortunately a badly beaten thick pork chop with 2 pieces of meat. In addition, potato mash called kartofellsalat. This is a place where you can come for a beer, the rest you will cook yourself at home

Had the various pork dishes, minus schnitzel as it was late and after kitchen fryer closed. All the house sauces were excellent.

The selection of dishes is not particularly large and is very meat-heavy. The service is quite quick, even for larger groups.

Unfortunately the hunter's roast was nothing. After a long hiking tour I was craving this classic. Unfortunately it was only a small piece of meat and it was tough too. The sauce was quite watery. Otherwise a nice restaurant.
