It's a shame, that was definitely a very nice inn. Nice interior and cozy. But unfortunately the food is not good at all and WAY too expensive for this quality. Roast pork not fresh, schnitzel undercooked and pale, Zillertaler Schnitzel should have been with mountain farm cheese sauce but it was just a tasteless flour sauce. The cheese was probably forgotten. You can do that with tourists, but locals definitely won't go there anymore.

Once again I learned that you shouldn't be deceived by reviews. The ignorance of tourists is counted on here. I'm only reviewing the food here. Roast pork was advertised as fresh when asked. A (beautifully prepared) plate arrived with meat from the day before (days before) and old, hard bread dumplings... and that for 22 euros... no salad, (which is increasingly becoming an extra item). The prices on the menu are very high, but the tourists and Americans pay for it. I don't think it's ok.

Simply great 👍 Food delicious, service very, very nice. Ambience cozy, at least in our case outside. Roast pork could have had a bit more meat out of it... but I'm not a benchmark, so that's more of my problem. The rest of us were well fed.

I’ve never written negative reviews about an establishment, but in this case it’s impossible to resist. I ordered rolls to take away under the 1+1 promotion, this is when the second portion is free, or, as they say, with a 50% discount on the order. Please note that the promotion applies to certain types of rolls and nigiri indicated on the establishment’s website. So, my choice, unfortunately, fell on a roll stuffed with eel, cucumber and Philadelphia, Unagi filla for 169 hryvnia 190 grams, by no means the cheapest option. Since the order was for takeout, a very unpleasant surprise awaited me at home! Instead of eel in the roll there was EXCLUSIVELY his skin!!! I'm not kidding! At first I didn’t attach any importance, I thought it was just an illusion, but after carefully examining the appearance of the dish, I decided to disassemble the filling of the rolls and bring them, as they say, “to clean water.” I took a photo of the “find” of 2 rolls specifically so that others would understand what awaits them when ordering Unagi Phil and probably all the other rolls with “eel” inside. Dear owners! Of course, I understand that everything has its price, and when buying a roll with a 50% discount, I don’t expect it to be perfect, but putting 100% of its waste instead of fish is at least deception and quackery! I was ready that the portion or quantity of filling would be different due to the promotion, but there was no way that for my money they would give me TRASH instead of food!I strongly ask you to respond to this message, unless, of course, you want to return money to every client for a dish with inappropriate ingredients (because 100% eel skin is not eel), and most importantly, lose customers. If it’s not profitable to include 1+1 dishes containing eel in a promotion, don’t include it, but you shouldn’t deceive people, it will cost much more for your business, is it really difficult to predict? I attach a photo of the “eel” from 2 pieces of roll for clarity. I would be very glad to receive comments from management! I hope in the end it will not be the cook who is to blame))))))))

We were very satisfied. Good service and delicious food. The apple strudel for dessert is great!

The location is good and the drinks are delicious. However, I couldn't eat much of the steak because it was too salty and not very tasty, and I don't recommend it because it was too expensive. The schnitzel was uncomfortable to eat because the meat was too tough and smelly, and the schweinebraten had cartilage in it. It was inconvenient because there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. But the staff are friendly. I couldn't get over the salty taste so I gave up halfway through and I was still hungry even after eating.

Everything tasted delicious, the salad with lots of fresh fruit, veal schnitzel with homemade fries and the crowning glory was the Kaiserschmarren.

The food was very good, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was very nice and calmer.

Food was okay, very ambitiously priced, but not unusual for Garmisch. I was here for the second time today and apparently we were just unlucky with the service staff this time. I'm actually comparatively undemanding, also because the job isn't always easy. But I don't have to let the waiter tell me to listen better when he's handing out the main courses at the table. I am a guest here and not a primary school student. Empty drinks were just as consistently ignored as guests who “just sat down” in a beer garden that was two-thirds empty without being assigned a seat. Unfortunately, even a good schnitzel can no longer be pulled out. Overall impression, unfortunately, only two stars.

Rustic Bavarian, cozy inn with a wonderful old tiled stove. The service was great. Very quick, courteous and friendly. The drinks and the food came to the table very quickly after ordering. We shared a König Ludwig mix platter (for 1st person) between the two of us. The portion was really enough for both of us. There are various meat dishes (hocks, meat loaf, spare ribs, steak, bratwurst) and various side dishes (fried potatoes - which was the majority of the side dishes - as well as sauerkraut, a huge baked potato with quark and white cabbage salad) as well as mustard and creamed horseradish. The taste was really delicious. There is a star deduction for the food because some of the food was no longer hot and the bratwurst came to the table already cold. I also deducted a star for the ambience because the floor was very sticky and some leftover food could be seen under the table/corner bench.

Went here to eat Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel. It was good 👍🏼.

Typical Bavarian restaurant just outside the city center. Generous portions. I recommend the shank. Prices normal. Friendly staff. I absolutely recommend.

It was simply fantastic. Despite the spontaneous late arrival, we still received great service and the food was a 10 out of 10 😍

We had to wait a long time for food and drinks with two children...even though we were the only guests. Fries were very over-seasoned, the pork knuckle was left almost untouched (it tasted very intensely of pork aroma...in Swabian they say "has sauelet heavily"). Nevertheless, we had to pay for it and no compensation was offered. We would not visit this restaurant again .

The German pork knuckle I ordered was delicious, crispy and soft inside a salad of fresh vegetables and fruits. Delicious, crispy and refreshing to eat. Finish with a traditional Bavarian dessert. The waiter is very nice and quick. The food comes quickly after ordering. Food tastes very good. We had Kaiserschmarn, schnitzel with fries, grilled chicken breast with baby potatoes and asparagus with baby potatoes and grilled vegetables. I liked the place, good drinks selection and delicious Schnitzel. The only downside is that it’s very expensive for what you get, even Munich or other big cities have cheaper eateries than this.

Great atmosphere, you immediately feel like you are in Bavaria. The portions are huge and as the waiter said, the Bräustüberl is notorious for that. The food is also super tasty and the service is courteous.

Since it was our last day in Germany, we wanted to find the perfect, most authentic German restaurant we could find in the area. This place did not disappoint! The staff / waiter was very friendly and attentive, the decor was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious!

We were very excited! The lumberjack steak with fried potatoes was delicious. It was offered to share the food instead of senior plates. Very friendly. And the salad with turkey breast is full of surprises. Two different dressings, very tasty! And the meat is tender. The hazelnut schnapps is also highly recommended. Value for money very poor. We just wanted a quick snack on the way through. We had a snack board (€20.50) and our son had a potato dumpling with sauce (€9.50). The waiter was rude and the food wasn't particularly good. In addition, they don't care much about cleanliness, dirty coasters and toilets leave a very bad impression.

We were there with four people for dinner in the evening. The landlord was a bit grumpy, but the service was super friendly, she made up for it. The food was great, the meat was tender and beautifully presented. We'd love to come back. We were there again after six months with four people and wanted to eat inside. We were told that with the nice weather, we wouldn't do that, it would be even nicer. The end of the song was when the food was served we had to fight with lots of flies. Very unpleasant to constantly have flies sitting on our food. Last but not least, there was a young man who played his accordion the whole time, which was really annoying. When you left the terrace you passed a table where you could have bought your CDs. I just thought it was terrible.

We were visiting from the United States. We stopped there for a late afternoon lunch/dinner. Food was fantastic. The server was extremely helpful to us, especially with the language barrier. Hiighly recommend the lambs and the ribs. The outdoor deck is a nice option.

Unfortunately, more appearances are clear. The prices are too high and in no way justify the quality delivered. Serving food in glasses and on wooden plates is not possible. Unfortunately, we were guided by the good reviews. We wouldn't go in again.

The waitress said the change would cost 2.50 extra... we found that very strange. But the impudence came shortly afterwards... both neighboring tables also asked if they could get another side dish, the waitress said that normally costs extra, but she does it like this as an exception... Very unprofessional especially because we were sitting 2 meters away. So unfortunately we won't be coming back for that reason...

We are currently on vacation in Garmisch and decided on this Bavarian restaurant. The atmosphere is great - typically “Bavarian”. We ordered the sausage salad and the baked vegetables. We didn't have to wait long and the food was very tasty. The food at the neighboring tables also looked very good. Finally, we shared a Kaiserschmarren, which was also very tasty and served with cream, applesauce and fruit. Our waitress also needs to be mentioned again because she was super friendly and helpful! We were very satisfied with our stay.

Unfortunately, our stay was characterized by cold food, unreasonable staff and mice in the dining room. First of all, 5 out of 5 knuckles at the table were cold on the bone, literally frozen. It looked like they were frozen and simply hadn't been warmed up properly. When we pointed this out, we got new knuckles, but unfortunately there was no apology. While we were waiting for the fresh knuckles, we noticed 2 mice in the dining room running under the tables! When paying, we again pointed out that our entire stay was not to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, no apology was given in any way, nor was there any accommodation regarding the price! If you want to spend a nice evening in Garmisch, I suggest avoiding this restaurant!

Yesterday I tried eating with my father and ordered a roast pork roast that was probably as old as the inn itself, so it was inedible but expensive. Not recommendable.

Nice Bavarian restaurant with nice staff. We both had the schnitzel, once with spaetzle and once with bread dumplings, with gravy and cream sauce. The salsa garnish looked nice and was also dressed with a delicious dressing. Despite the fact that we arrived very late (7:20 p.m.), the kitchen still prepared these great dishes for us. We would come here again and again.

The knuckle was cold. After 20 minutes a new knuckle and a schnapps arrived on the house. Unfortunately we missed any excuses regarding the cold knuckle. Mice also ran through the dining room.

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately the wine we ordered could not be served because there was no corkscrew. The 3 crusty roasts for €21.90 each and the sauce were not hot but it was just enough to eat. The Hax'e for €28.90!!! was good. Everyone should take a close look at the prices first, the four of us agree it's not worth the money.

Nice atmosphere and the owners were also very friendly. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. The portions are generous, but the quality is poor. First we had the Obatzda (it was okay, nothing special) and then the König Ludwig Mix. All of the meat was dry, but the knuckle was extremely dry, almost dusty. It's a shame because the atmosphere would be very nice.

We were warmly welcomed outside of “normal” meal times. The food came quickly and was appetizingly prepared. The atmosphere couldn't be more Bavarian. And everything is very beautiful, historical and harmonious!

The restaurant is nice and quaint. The food was also delicious. The only serious disadvantage for us was that the food came 5 minutes after we ordered. That had a bit of the character of clearance. In terms of price-performance ratio it was ok.

The food was quite good. But then evil awakened. We asked for the bill while sitting on the terrace, 10 minutes passed even though we were the only guests. Then loud shouting from the bar. We then asked again in the pub for the bill to be paid by card. This wasn't possible, we were directed to a savings bank that was supposed to be within walking distance, but it didn't exist. An invoice for transfer was not possible. Neither did a phone call with management. After we drove around town to find an ATM, the tip was deducted straight away - there was no receipt. Customer service is very important in this restaurant. Thank you for the wasted time.
