Very disappointing for us. Overwhelmed waiter who made several mistakes. Groups of tables were much too narrow, you could no longer move the chairs without touching the surrounding chairs. Schnitzel too thin for my taste, the side dishes so few that you had to look for them on the plate. There are better addresses in Garmisch.

DANGER: HERE YOU WILL NOT GET ANYTHING TO FOOD AND YOU WILL ALSO BE INSULTED BY THE RUDE STAFF. We had made a special reservation and were there with hungry children. After more than 45 minutes we couldn't even order, not even drinks. When we asked to be allowed to order, we were so insulted that we left with crying children. Rarely experienced such poor service. How can this justify the high prices? What a disgrace!

Fantastic Bavarian restaurant tucked a bit away from the main street by the alte Kirche. They were one of the few places that wasn't completely booked during our stay so we gave it a shot. The service was so friendly as soon as we walked in and sat us at the Stammtisch near the bar. We got a couple of drinks to start (a Fest Bier for me and a Riesling for my date), which were both great. We enjoyed them while soaking in the traditional German restaurant atmosphere (lots of neat decoration!) and generally enjoying the vibe. After some time, I opted for the Zillertaler schnitzel for my main and my date got the Jägerschnitzel. The Zillertaler essentially comes with a side of Bergkäse (delicious cheese) and the Jäger with a side of mushroom sauce. The schnitzels were cooked perfectly and both sauces were incredible. I got an Ofenkartoffel (baked potato) as my side, which very cutely came in a big foil bird and my date got Bratkartoffeln, which were also great. We ate every bite, and although we were stuffed afterward, we decided to go for the Kaiserschmarrn since it was on the menu. It surprisingly came with bits of blueberries and pineapple on it, which is totally not traditional, but I actually kind of liked it. Overall, I was impressed with the portion sizes for the price and the quality of the dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and am excited to check out the other Bavarian establishments in the area!

Good typical Bavarian restaurant

We have reserved a table. After waiting 45 minutes we were not served. The service was completely overwhelmed. And there were only four of us. We left - we weren't ignored anywhere else. Disastrous for a pub with such a high level of competition.

The food, well... small salad with fruit in it without writing it on the menu, I don't think it's ok. Not everyone eats something like that. On the whole the food was ok, there is much better for the expensive price. The worst was the service. The older man just doesn't know how to interact and talk to the guests. Please don't let him near the guests, he will scare all your guests away with his arrogant, aggressive nature.

The atmosphere is great and very cozy 👍 typically Bavarian. Service was ok. Waiter could have exuded a bit more joy. Unfortunately the food is subpar. Veal schnitzel thin as a sheet of newspaper. Taste okay. More breading than meat. Unfortunately very disappointing at €26. Jägerschnitzel a bit better. Sauce was very thin and tasted okay. There were two mushrooms. In summary, paid €65 and was super unhappy. Unfortunately not recommended if you want to eat well.

We had the crusty roast and chicken breast, everything was great 😋. The landlord is super nice. The apple strudel is really great. We would love to come back.

It was a very special atmosphere! Very friendly and courteous staff, we felt very comfortable. This is particularly due to the unique furnishings, which also deserves the name Bräustüberl. Absolutely recommended and must be done! Gladly again

The evening in the Bräustüberl was very entertaining with very varied music, which brought you closer to home, because you should never forget it. When summer slowly starts to feel the fall, the Bräustüberl is the right address for stylish decorations and a full house. The pork dishes in particular made us want to pull out our debit cards.

Can't understand the rating of the Kässpatzen in particular, only if you don't know that it's supposed to be Emmental and Bergkäss and NOT a processed cheese mixture like in the USA!!!!!! I also think a light one for €5.50 and a dark one for €6 are steep. Kässpatzen €16.50, very small salad €6.20, value for money doesn't fit! Service was very friendly!!!! Unfortunately not recommended

Tasty, quick and typically Bavarian

!Review for holiday apartment Enzian! This FW is CRAP! Why? The FW is interestingly designed with the high main room and the box with two double beds. The furnishings are typically Upper Bavarian, but of simple quality (the 65'' TV doesn't stand out, nobody needs it anyway). The furnishings are generally worn out and really need to be replaced or repaired. The doors of the shower cubicle are falling out, the towel holder is hanging down, the shower head is broken (the water is spraying out of the top... I haven't seen it yet either). The kitchen equipment is thrown together and below average (if the apartment is for 7 people, there should be cutlery for everyone, etc.). The beds are too small (I'm 186 cm and constantly bump into the bottom or top). There are more, but I don't feel like counting them all. What makes the FW absolutely inadequate (only 2 points from 1-10) is the price. Almost €1000 for 2 nights make this FW absolute CRAP! I'm sorry for the landlords, but that's how it is.

Here in the off season and are early around 16:00. The two guys working were great and so was the food! Found the place because I asked some random local who was working about good Bavarian food, he told me to go here, zero regrets. Outstanding Schnitzel, Späetzel, and Sauerkraut.

The restaurant is one of the historic restaurants in Garmisch Partenkirchen. On the outside nothing has changed. The menu contains classic Bavarian dishes. The food is of very good quality. Despite everything, there were many places available.

Above all: Great, friendly and humorous service, there is nothing to improve here. The ambience is typically Bavarian and rustic. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us: the carpaccio was still frozen and the knuckle was quite hard. Parking is possible directly on the shoulder.

Great food, great plating, great service. Everything at this place was so good. A little on the pricey side, but trust me, it's gonna be worth the money. The waiter made us feel so much at home, you are gonna have a satisfied feeling when you leave place.

Very good food that even full-grown people get full. Prices are really okay considering the general inflation prices in the catering industry, staff have a lot to do but are always friendly and on their toes... can be recommended without reservation

Typical restaurant. Very nice service. It could have been a little warmer. Great service from the start. Very tasty beer. Recommendation of the grill plate with a little bit of everything was a great recommendation. We left this tavern feeling blissfully happy and full of energy. 2 adults and 1 child, with a children's meal (pasta all homemade), a large grill plate and 3 drinks, approx. 100 euros. Hearty but also heartily delicious...Thank you and we would always come back. This is how you imagine a tavern.

Compared to our last visit, extreme price increase and very manageable portion sizes! That's probably why it's only sparsely attended - in recent years there have always been crowds and a good atmosphere!

A very authentic pub with fantastic food, a wide selection of beers and a historic (but relaxed) atmosphere. Excellent venison and beef dishes, soups.

The Bräustüberl in Garmisch is a clear 10/10 for me! In a rustic but not old-fashioned atmosphere, you sit on wooden benches between large, typically Bavarian paintings on the walls. We were there on Friday evening and it was busy, but we didn't wait long for our food. The landlady and the innkeeper were very nice and attentive, we really felt very well looked after. The food was also extremely good and, as already mentioned, came very quickly. I had the Bavarian knuckle and my companion had the cream schnitzel. Both excellent. For me as a tourist in Garmisch, the Bräustüberl is definitely worth a visit and if I'm here again, I'll eat there again. Absolute recommendation!

Chicken soup with noodles and Jägerschnitzel. Both dishes were ok, but could be improved. I would refine the noodle soup with a few vegetables and the hunter's sauce tasted a bit like "bucket" and not homemade. Schnitzel and fried potatoes were good. Friendly service...

Great quaint restaurant not far from the city center. The Obatzter is recommended as a starter and all of our dishes were delicious. The only drawback: a small portion of fries costs a whopping €7.50

It was incredibly delicious! The staff was very, very friendly and made jokes. My husband and I both had the knuckle. I love pork knuckles and this one was a blast. Arrived extremely quickly, warm, a super crispy honey crust. The sauerkraut was great!!! The dumpling was also good and brown sauce. We can recommend both. Thumbs up.

Solid Bavarian food with nice service

Fast, friendly service, delicious food, rustic atmosphere. Exactly what you would expect. We had the cream schnitzel and the apple strudel.

This was the worst place! I fell for the delivery, a week ago we ordered food for the office, everything was delicious. After a long day of work, we decided to have dinner at a cafe. Let's start with the fact that the items from the site were not on the menu, as well as the drinks we selected, although they were listed on the menu - out of stock. I waited 20 minutes for the wine, more than 35(!!)) minutes for the fries! The grilled vegetables were brought cold, and mmm, to put it mildly, terrible in both taste and appearance. I’m a food photographer, I very rarely visit new establishments because I don’t believe in much, and for good reason! but!! What you have in the photo on the menu should also be served!! legislation The chicken meat was undercooked on the inside, burnt on the outside, and covered in so much pepper!

Once again I learned that you shouldn't be deceived by reviews. The ignorance of tourists is counted on here. I'm only reviewing the food here. Roast pork was advertised as fresh when asked. A (beautifully prepared) plate arrived with meat from the day before (days before) and old, hard bread dumplings... and that for 22 euros... no salad, (which is increasingly becoming an extra item). The prices on the menu are very high, but the tourists and Americans pay for it. I don't think it's ok.

Simply great 👍 Food delicious, service very, very nice. Ambience cozy, at least in our case outside. Roast pork could have had a bit more meat out of it... but I'm not a benchmark, so that's more of my problem. The rest of us were well fed.

I’ve never written negative reviews about an establishment, but in this case it’s impossible to resist. I ordered rolls to take away under the 1+1 promotion, this is when the second portion is free, or, as they say, with a 50% discount on the order. Please note that the promotion applies to certain types of rolls and nigiri indicated on the establishment’s website. So, my choice, unfortunately, fell on a roll stuffed with eel, cucumber and Philadelphia, Unagi filla for 169 hryvnia 190 grams, by no means the cheapest option. Since the order was for takeout, a very unpleasant surprise awaited me at home! Instead of eel in the roll there was EXCLUSIVELY his skin!!! I'm not kidding! At first I didn’t attach any importance, I thought it was just an illusion, but after carefully examining the appearance of the dish, I decided to disassemble the filling of the rolls and bring them, as they say, “to clean water.” I took a photo of the “find” of 2 rolls specifically so that others would understand what awaits them when ordering Unagi Phil and probably all the other rolls with “eel” inside. Dear owners! Of course, I understand that everything has its price, and when buying a roll with a 50% discount, I don’t expect it to be perfect, but putting 100% of its waste instead of fish is at least deception and quackery! I was ready that the portion or quantity of filling would be different due to the promotion, but there was no way that for my money they would give me TRASH instead of food!I strongly ask you to respond to this message, unless, of course, you want to return money to every client for a dish with inappropriate ingredients (because 100% eel skin is not eel), and most importantly, lose customers. If it’s not profitable to include 1+1 dishes containing eel in a promotion, don’t include it, but you shouldn’t deceive people, it will cost much more for your business, is it really difficult to predict? I attach a photo of the “eel” from 2 pieces of roll for clarity. I would be very glad to receive comments from management! I hope in the end it will not be the cook who is to blame))))))))

It's a shame, that was definitely a very nice inn. Nice interior and cozy. But unfortunately the food is not good at all and WAY too expensive for this quality. Roast pork not fresh, schnitzel undercooked and pale, Zillertaler Schnitzel should have been with mountain farm cheese sauce but it was just a tasteless flour sauce. The cheese was probably forgotten. You can do that with tourists, but locals definitely won't go there anymore.

The location is good and the drinks are delicious. However, I couldn't eat much of the steak because it was too salty and not very tasty, and I don't recommend it because it was too expensive. The schnitzel was uncomfortable to eat because the meat was too tough and smelly, and the schweinebraten had cartilage in it. It was inconvenient because there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. But the staff are friendly. I couldn't get over the salty taste so I gave up halfway through and I was still hungry even after eating.

Everything tasted delicious, the salad with lots of fresh fruit, veal schnitzel with homemade fries and the crowning glory was the Kaiserschmarren.

The food was very good, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was very nice and calmer.
