The idea of ​​"Bavarian Tapas" is great! We had five tapas dishes and were extremely satisfied – simply delicious! :-) We were there with our dog, and he was truly spoiled: a water bowl, a bowl of treats, and a blanket. Thanks again! We'll definitely be back...

I can recommend this restaurant without reservation. One thing is very important, though: make a reservation in advance, otherwise there won't be a seat.

We loved the restaurant and were absolutely surprised by the Bavarian tapas concept! The schnitzel is highly recommended, super delicious! We wanted to come back today, but unfortunately it's a closed day. Regardless, if we're on vacation here again, we'll definitely come back every evening!! Thank you for the super delicious food.

Overall, the food at the Bavarian tapas restaurant was delicious, the atmosphere was truly cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive—you feel right at home. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit disappointing for the price. The "tapas of the day" (venison with dumplings) barely had any venison, and the Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage) came with just enough Obazda to cover one slice of bread—delicious, but simply not enough. Overall, a pleasant experience, but the value for money still leaves room for improvement.

We were invited to dinner last night, and the four of us, including our Labrador, Laska, were there. It was quite busy, and there was a queue at the entrance due to the table change at 7 p.m. But we got a cozy table in a booth and received very attentive service. I ordered the Haxn (Haxn) – it was probably the best I've ever eaten! Super crispy on the outside and beautifully juicy on the inside. Awesome! My wife and the hosts helped themselves to a wide variety of Bavarian tapas and were also very happy. Laska received treats and water, and at the end, a large treat, which she hand-fed, and a pleasant conversation with us. ❤️ We would love to come back. The food was incredibly delicious. The Bavarian tapas concept is great; you don't have to choose just one dish. The waiters are very friendly and have a big heart for dogs. Each dog gets its own water bowl and treat plate. We were there on vacation last year and this year and will be back next year.

The "tapas" dishes are a joke! The burger is abysmal, both in taste and appearance! But the prices are high! In my opinion, the tapas dishes are ready meals that are simply reheated! We wanted the goulash in a large portion, but it didn't work; only in small portions! Why? So it's supposed to be fresh? Once and never again!

Two of us visited the restaurant, unaware that the food was served in tapas form. The food was generally good – though not exceptional compared to other restaurants in the area. What bothered us: The portions were very small. If you compare the price of three tapas, you can get a much larger and more filling meal for the same price elsewhere. So, if you really want to fill yourself up here, expect to pay a higher price – or look for an alternative. The positive aspects are the pleasant ambiance and the friendly, attentive staff. The burger and roasted onions were very tasty. Reservations are recommended.

Great, delicious Bavarian tapas for a small appetite or ideal for trying. Great ambience with very friendly owners who do everything to ensure that the guests are satisfied. We came without a reservation and got a table for 2 hours until the reservation time, which was really great. Unfortunately, the service responded to my inquiries in a very unfriendly tone, but that will certainly get better in the future ;)

The food was very tasty and the girls were all super friendly. We'll be back at some point

The schnitzel with mustard, onions and bacon tasted excellent. My girlfriend had tried different tapas. There was a super clean bowl of water and a bowl of treats for our dog, which was even refilled. That's what I call service. We will definitely check out this quaint restaurant again.

Do not recommend!!!!! My husband and I made a reservation for the last night of our honeymoon. We were specifically asked when making the reservation if we were ordering pork knuckle (which we were). When we arrived, our waitress was very rude and we were informed they were out of pork knuckle… which we had specifically reserved. When we said we had reserved one we were just told, well we are out. We ended up leaving. Wish I could give 0 stars.

We ate here with five people, the response to the food was mixed, therefore 3 stars for the food. The cheese spaetzle should be highlighted, they were very good. We also really liked the idea of ​​Bavarian tapas.

Very good food, huge portions, very good beer, very nice atmosphere, they care about their guests; also the younger ones. There was no problem in packing food for takeaway, ecological packaging, so this is also appreciated. Prices are moderate, but it's definitely worth a visit :)

The food was great, the prices were reasonable, the ambience was typically Bavarian, very nice, unfortunately the service was extremely unfriendly, I've never experienced anything like that, the lady even got into a fight with guests, a no-go in the catering industry, even our small children noticed it.

We wanted to eat here, but unfortunately we weren't even listened to. We were turned away very rudely just because we didn't have a reservation. It's a shame - we were looking forward to the food.

Nice location because of the ski jump. The service was OK to good. Food was solid (large salad, ham sandwich and obazda with bread). The portion of Obazda was large, two large scoops. This would have required 4 half slices of bread. By default there is only half a slice of bread. Everyone can see that this is not enough and the customer MUST reorder. We reordered two slices for which we were charged €1.80 PER slice. In addition, there was poor quality bread.

Hmm....... what can I say, we had reserved a place but it wasn't anywhere in the reservation book. Regardless, we were assigned a place and told that there would still be guests there. But we already knew that because when we personally reserved the table, the employee pointed out to us that this could be the case. We then sat down so that we needed as little space as possible. We were there for a good 2.5 hours and the store was quite full but no one was seated with us. It's actually a shame, we were hoping for a nice conversation. The prices of the drinks are exorbitant, far too expensive. The prices of the food are no better. The potato soup was delicious and was served in a small pot, the small side salad was already wilted at the bottom and something new was laid on top like old and new for €6.90. The cordon bleu was served with fries, nothing else, no lettuce leaf, nothing, except that cordon blue was swimming in fat and asking for €22 for that is already intense. Yes, I know the catering industry is probably not doing so well according to the press, but if you treat your customers like that, it won't last. In any case, we will no longer visit the Wildschütz. We wish the Wildschütz all the best and perhaps a little humility for the future.

We were there on Easter Sunday and completely starved. The food was delicious, no question about it, but what really impressed me the most was our waitress. Unfortunately I don't know her name. She had long dark blonde hair, I would say, and braided in a ponytail. So you can hardly find something so nice, attentive and helpful anywhere ☺️. She even gave us fresh bread from the restaurant because all the bakeries were closed. Great class ☺️. Thank you for the great evening and the nice conversation and of course delicious food too 😊. Great Bavarian restaurant with nice concept of small places. Places had everything that you expect from good German restaurant, classic dishes and some options with the Italian twist (like pasta) and you can try several dishes in a smaller size that is perfect for someone who can't eat so much but wants to try different options. There are also regular sizes. Beer for sure is fresh and tasty. Great wibes, fast and efficient service, easy to book over the phone, nice design inside and plenty of sits outside.

Unfortunately, we relied on the opening times posted online. It says that on Thursdays it is open from 1200 p.m. The bar then read 5 p.m. Online presences should be updated.

If you can't decide on one thing, you can eat several small dishes. Despite all this, there are also normal portions of individual dishes. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Almost only the "tapas" are Bavarian food in mini portions, but at an increased price. No one who is even a little bit hungry can survive without 2-3 tapas. Beer is also more expensive than average. I preferred to eat a kebab. THE LAST STORE!!! The menu on the website and on Google is not correct front and back.

Interesting menu: daily menu with recommendations, "normal menu" typical Bavarian cuisine and "tapas menu" - also Bavarian cuisine, only small portions. You can reorder and try different things, e.g. B. the deer goulash (we had it). We also had: the pork knuckle. Very (!) big and very tasty. Overall, quick service with 120% friendliness and Bavarian charm. Reasonably priced. Come again.

5 stars – crusty crunchy dream in Bavaria! As a northerner, I was skeptical, but this roast pork with dark beer sauce completely won me over. Tender meat, crispy crust, perfect dumplings – simply fantastic! Plus super friendly service, a great selection of food and a really cozy, well-attended atmosphere. A real insider tip for everyone who loves Bavarian cuisine – or wants to become one! Or as they say here: It was a real blast!

We came as a family of 8 around 5pm without a reservation. From the moment we stepped in, we were completely ignored. When we asked for a table, a young waitress treated us with arrogance and clear disrespect. Her attitude was not only rude but felt borderline racist. It was as if we weren’t welcome there at all. After trying to speak to other staff, two older ladies finally gave us a table but outside, in the cold. We were shocked to see that even after we finished our meal, the tables inside were still empty so clearly, it wasn’t about space. The food was pretty good, but the customer service was honestly one of the worst we’ve experienced. Hospitality was completely lacking. A shame, really. We won’t be coming back, and we don’t recommend it to anyone who expects to be treated with basic respect.

Very authentic Bavarian atmosphere and very nice service. The Bavarian tapas are a great idea. This means you can combine various specialties with small positions. The price is also acceptable and tastes good. Always impressive there for years.

The restaurant impresses with its rustic furnishings, which creates a cozy atmosphere. What's particularly amusing for me is the memory that I bought my Meindl hiking boots from Sport Stiller in exactly these rooms years ago. The menu is extensive and offers something for every taste. Particularly interesting is the concept of “tapas”, i.e. small portions of the regular dishes that are recommended at the end of the menu. When we asked, we were told that a tapas portion is about a quarter of a normal dish - it's worth comparing the quantities with the price. My wife chose a tapas schnitzel, stuffed with cheese and mustard etc, with fried potatoes. She thought it tasted okay, but decided against the sauce offered, which costs an extra €3.50. I chose a pork Wiener schnitzel with potato salad. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us: the breading was twice as thick as the meat, and the homemade Bavarian potato salad we were hoping for turned out to be a ready-made product with a little parsley. Our conclusion: We understand why many guests are enthusiastic about the restaurant, but for us there are definitely better culinary alternatives.

We were there a few days ago with 10 people and had only reserved for 8 - but they made it possible for us to accommodate everyone. The restaurant was well filled. The food was super tasty (everyone really enjoyed it), the tapas could be a bit bigger. The staff who initially served us seemed very "stressed" - but Marleen got everything sorted out - she was quick - super friendly and responded to all our requests. Kudos to her. We like to come back again and again. Even if you were lucky and got a spot, I recommend making a reservation.

Would be a nice place but to many tablets and to close to other people, felt very rushed and the servers are not very friendly. All the staff could really use some customer service training. I know it's a tourist place but should get some upgrades. I lived in Garmisch for some time now and this was the first time in many years eating here, sorry to say but now we remember why.

We were there on March 15th. in this restaurant when we went on a day trip and I have to say the food was really incredibly good! I had a very large portion of roast pork and my family opted for several smaller dishes from the "Bavarian tapas". We think this idea is very good because you can enjoy different dishes, cheese spaetzle, schnitzel all beautifully prepared and the Kaiserschmarrn was a poem. Of course, these are all the usual Bavarian classics that you can get everywhere in this region. But here at a very high level when it comes to the quality of the food. I can only recommend everyone to stop there.

What a great restaurant! Unfortunately we only visited on our last evening! Great food, very nice atmosphere and above all very, very friendly owners and employees! Everyone had a smile on their face. The relationship between the boss and his employees was also extremely relaxed and very harmonious!

Super delicious food in a rustic, typically Bavarian restaurant. Highly recommended. The location is small but nice. The food was super delicious. What would be desired; would actually be children's meals. The “Bavarian tapas” are mentioned, but they are really too small for children. The knuckle, I'm starting to rave, is very good. The dumplings are homemade and you can really taste the fresh Brazilian flavor when you twist them. The normal schnitzel portion can be seen in the picture. This is well portioned for an adult.

The food was super delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Special requests were also addressed: We reserved in advance and asked whether it was also possible to get a vegan dish. Although this inn has traditional Bavarian dishes (and therefore by no means vegan) on the menu, a wonderful vegan dish was conjured up (curry with vegetables and rice). We have eaten here several times years ago and have always been satisfied. Today it was just annoying. My husband would have liked to have a pork knuckle, but it is only available in the evening. He then switched to roast pork, which was OK, but not a highlight. Coleslaw with lots of caraway and bacon, not for everyone. I had fried chicken tapas. A fried schnitzel. Without any taste. I imagined it would be more sophisticated. Potato salad as a side dish was delicious. The blonde young woman couldn't handle our polite comment when we asked whether it was tasty and was quite arrogant. It was very clear in the restaurant, now we know why.

How lucky that something like this still exists! A sensationally friendly, experienced and attentive service team as well as freshly prepared, incredibly delicious food. We were there yesterday at lunchtime - the restaurant was busy, but the ladies in service did everything they could to quickly organize a nice table for us. Our little dachshund was immediately provided with a bowl of water and some treats without us even having to ask - great service! The onion soup was excellent, as was the starter salad. The Werdenfelser Schnitzel were not only deliciously stuffed, but also so big that we, as seasoned men, couldn't manage to finish them. Definitely our first choice on our next visit to Garmisch!

When we came to the restaurant in the evening, it was really full, all the tables were full, the employees were bustling around, but attentive when we came in. I asked for a table for two without a reservation. The boss herself, Ms. Platte, came, took the time, dug out her occupancy note and pondered. She asked if we would like to sit at the bar, otherwise everything was occupied. We agreed and were received very friendly. Jessy served us, explained the menu to us and we got the drinks and food incredibly quickly. We were often asked whether everything was okay, whether it tasted good, whether we were satisfied. We felt incredibly comfortable and were "just" sitting at the bar. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, harmonious and calming. Everything just fit together. Hats off to this restaurant! Go there, take in this ambience and eat your fill. An outstanding experience.

Simply great! Typical Bavarian style in the furnishings and the dishes are unbeatable in terms of price/performance ratio! Taps is a great idea because you can simply try more (decisions are definitely difficult)! Everything was freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The dessert, in our case Kaiserschmarrn and chocolate cake with a liquid center, was a poem! We were lucky that we got a table. Very difficult without reservation! We always try to find a solution. Unfortunately, we can only evaluate the reservation process and placement. We got a table for 8pm and got there a little early. Okay, “10 minutes window shopping” again. After 13 minutes we were back, the table was still not free because the children were still getting ice cream, “please another 5 minutes”… no problem. By chance we saw the table we were talking about... it still took about 20 minutes because the ice cream had just been served and the adults still had drinks. Thanks, but we were looking for something else.
