Outstanding dishes! We were waiting for authentic food from this region, and this is probably the top restaurant, especially when it comes to flavor. Outstanding potato soup with bacon, excellent pork knuckle. Very, very friendly service.

Highly recommended for hearty Bavarian food. The pork knuckle was huge, the meat juicy, and the crust crispy. Many dishes can also be combined as tapas, a cool idea. The service was incredibly friendly, quick, and attentive. Reservations are a good idea.

We went there spontaneously, but a reservation is highly recommended. We particularly enjoyed the Bavarian tapas. This allowed us to choose and try a wide variety of dishes, as they were small. However, there are also 'regular'-sized dishes. We personally enjoyed the schnitzel particularly much.

A truly wonderful place with very friendly and attentive service. A fantastic tapas concept, allowing you to feast on Bavarian delicacies in many small courses. Water and snacks for the dog, something to draw for the little ones, and a delicious beer for dad. Everyone is happy and satisfied after a hike in the mountains. Tasty local fare with generous portions. Service was slow, and dishes came out a bit messy. Tipping expectations felt unusually high for Garmisch, where it’s usually modest and low-pressure. Worth a visit if you’re not in a rush.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. It's traditional Bavarian, but very modern in style. Very cozy. We weren't familiar with the tapas concept in this area and were eager to try it out. We ordered six different dishes, so we could try everything. The schnitzel and cordon bleu were juicy, the fries were crispy, the fish was freshly breaded—everything was simply delicious. And the prices were reasonable, too.

Very delicious food – perfect for tasting and enjoying. The portions are quite small (which is normal for the price, of course), so if you're really hungry, we recommend ordering several dishes 😊 P.S. - The venison goulash is simply amazing 👍

Unfortunately, there were no separate dishes for children, and one of my daughter's dishes went missing when ordering. When I asked, they accused us of not ordering anything for her. The food did arrive after some delay.

I had a delicious experience at this German restaurant! The pork knuckle was absolutely fantastic - tender, juicy and full of flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic German meal. The quality of the food and the atmosphere were excellent. The picture is only half of it 😂 I was so hungry I forgot.

We recently visited this restaurant. Overall, the food was tasty, but not so special that we would recommend it. My salad was quite greasy and oily, making it difficult to eat. My husband had two schnitzels and a small portion of fries. Unfortunately, this was our personal impression and choice—there were no pictures on the menu, which made the decision a bit difficult. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant, but the food didn't leave a lasting impression.

We came here in January and the food was so good and Marleen was such a great server we had to come back. She took great care of us and made us laugh - fun personality

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Germany! The food is exquisite, the service is phenomenal, the ambiance is warm, and it is in a beautiful area. What more could you want. While you are there make sure to ask Marleen about the “Chinese potato salad” and hopefully it will bring a smile to her face!

First impression wasn’t ideal as we had to wait an hour for a table, but it gave me the impression that it was going to be worth the wait when I saw the food being taken out to the tables. I can tell you, it was 100% worth that wait. I had the schnitzel and my goodness, it was incredible. Honestly the best I have ever had. I would drive a long way to eat there again. Highly recommended.

A very nice restaurant in the pedestrian zone of Garmisch Partenkirchen 💖. Even though it was busy, our order was taken quickly and arrived promptly at the table. The taste was excellent. Typical Bavarian cuisine. Everything was homemade 🤤. My husband had the roast pork and I had the ox cheeks in a delicious mustard crust 🤗. And they even thought of our dog ❣️. That made me happiest! Thank you for the lovely time at your restaurant 🫶.

Great place. The food is perfect. Large portions. The Bavarian tapas go well with dessert. Definitely worth a visit, but it can get quite crowded during peak times. Excellent value for money.

The food was delicious. We had Wiener Schnitzel and ox cheeks. Both were delicious. The server was very nice and briefly explained the menu. Only the manager was a bit annoyed that day, and we also noticed that groups without reservations were getting tables, and two or three people were turned away beforehand. This should be reconsidered if several guests experience this behavior.

Great food and great service. Want to try venison goulash or a knuckle of pork? Swing your knuckles and stop by Wildschütz and you'll be delighted. The beer is nice and cold the girls are nice this will surely make the evening a celebration. Keep up the good work You're amazing with your amazing smell of knuckles.

We've eaten at the "Wildschütz" several times during our vacations over the past few years. Four years ago, we were very satisfied; the food was very good, and the atmosphere and staff were excellent. Therefore, we reserved a table in advance for dinner on our summer vacation this year. The restaurant was completely overcrowded, and the noise level was so loud that it was impossible to have a normal conversation. The staff was friendly, but visibly overwhelmed by the number of guests. The food, both in terms of taste and appearance, had the quality of a commercial kitchen, but not that of a local restaurant. The value for money was simply poor. We were very disappointed and will definitely not eat at the "Wildschütz" again on our next vacation.

It's a really cozy place with an authentic atmosphere. The dishes are large and taste fantastic. I can recommend the Bavarian tapas, which are small dishes of local Bavarian food. Two of them are enough. Then you get to taste a little bit of everything. It's a good idea to book a table in advance. The service is friendly and always with a smile. I would like to go here again. Ate there two nights in a row.

We spontaneously decided on Wildschütz for lunch on Saturday and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long. The portions were generous and very tasty (the Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote was particularly good). Highly recommended! My downside: Parking is available in public and paid parking lots.

The food was delicious and the service was kind, but unfortunately we couldn’t fully enjoy our meal in the garden due to a large number of flies constantly buzzing around us. It was very distracting and uncomfortable. We hope the restaurant can find a solution for this in the future, because everything else was really promising!

Went there for dinner for the first time today. They served wonderful Wiener schnitzel, dumplings, ox cheeks that were tender as butter and could be shared with a fork, and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert...we'll be back, reservations are a plus....

Very cozy restaurant. Our food was brought quickly and was very tasty. We were lucky to get a table, but it is worth booking. The waiters are nice and smiling. The women's toilet was clean..

We stopped in for a late lunch after a visit to Eibsee. They have a "small" version of most plates and a full size, too. The food was excellent. I had the stuffed schnitzel and my friend had the roast beef in red wine sauce. The flavors were incredible. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really great, and the service was good too! We did not have a reservation, so we were at a shared table, which was fine. They also had a nice beer garden, but we were trying to stay dry in the thunderstorms so we stayed indoors. I'm so glad we found this place!

Everything was great! The only tiny criticism I have as a vegetarian is that the menu is really meat-heavy (which isn't all that unusual for Bavarian cuisine). However, in some restaurants, you can now find more than just one dish and a salad. Both were great, though 😅 and my husband was very impressed with his meal.

A dog-friendly and quaint inn. The servers were super attentive, and the food came super quickly, even though it was packed. There was even live music, which made the evening perfect after a long hike.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, they made a real effort to let us sit outside. We ended up sharing a table with another couple. Service was very quick, and the food and drinks arrived quickly, even though they were completely sold out, and they were really fresh and delicious.

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter. Delikate Bayerische Schmankerln werden hier geboten und inzwischen teilweise auch in kleinen Portionen, die genau so gut schmecken wie die großen Varianten. Wobei so eine Tapasgrösse durchaus auch zum Sattwerden geeignet ist, sofern man keinen Riesenhunger hat. Die Preise absolut moderat., sowohl für das Essen als auch für die Getränke (Bier). Die Bedienung war professionell und freundlich wie wir es kennen. Wir kommen wieder…..

Classic German food in the city center. The staff was not particularly friendly but served us. The menu has options for small portions and very large. There is nothing in between. We tried a soup with traditional sausage and the store's schnitzel (in small portions). The food bothered us all on the way back. I would not recommend it.

Thanks to Google, we found another great restaurant. Sunday around 6 p.m. There were three of us, and there was only one table available. We were lucky to get it. The staff was friendly and professional. We were given a really cool menu and an introduction to the "Bavarian Tapas" (see photos). To drink, we had two Coca-Colas and an apple juice. For dinner, we had venison goulash in Dornfelder sauce, two traditional Bavarian cream of potato soup with bacon, three crispy fried venison sausages on sauerkraut, with house bread, crispy pork knuckle, mini Bavarian pork cordon bleu, and a mixed salad. Everyone tried everything, and we were thrilled. Everything was delicious. The bill was around €90, which is more than reasonable for such good food. I also found a parking space nearby; it was a Sunday, and there was no charge. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely come back.

We came here spontaneously and were allowed to sit at a table. We wanted to try a few things and opted for the Bavarian tapas. The individual dishes were large and everything tasted delicious. The service was quick and courteous, just what you'd expect.

Due to the rainy weather, we arrived an hour before our reserved time – but everything was full. No problem, we took a quick stroll and returned on time. The table was free as promised -> reservation highly recommended! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The menu was briefly explained (Bavarian tapas are the house specialty), and drinks orders were taken. For dinner, we decided against the tapas and opted for the classics menu. This order was also taken quickly, and changes to the side dishes were easily made. And the recommendation to add a small salad was perfectly placed. The food arrived very quickly and in an extremely generous portion. For the price, we actually expected less, but perhaps our standards have changed from home 🤣 The atmosphere is quaint and compact without feeling cramped. All in all, a superb first evening with plentiful food, which we then had to digest with another short walk. Highly recommended, we'd be happy to come back!

Sehr schönes bayerisches Restaurant mit Biergarten hinterm Haus. Das Essen ist lecker und der große Vorteil ist, dass man viele Gerichte als kleine Portion, sogenannte bayerische Tapas, bestellen kann. Der Service ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Preise sind vollkommen im normalen Beteich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We stopped in spontaneously. It was already quite busy, so we had to sit at a communal table – but that wasn't a big deal. Despite the crowd, the food was served very quickly. It was truly delicious, and we were glad we chose the communal table. The small space and the large number of people meant it was quite noisy, but that suited the atmosphere very well. We can definitely recommend the place – but it's less suitable for a cozy, quiet evening.
