Tasty and great service. The order for five was brought quickly. The portions are large. The waitress is generally above all praise. We really liked everything!!!

The staff was super friendly and the food was A1! We had super delicious cheese spaetzle and an incredibly delicious roast venison! Highly recommended

Full marks! Every guest was welcomed at the door and despite many reserved tables, no one was turned away or directed to the outside seats, which were dry despite heavy rain. We were immediately asked what we wanted and the food came in no time. The knuckle was crunchy to perfection, very tasty and the cream mushrooms were also great! We would love to come back, clear recommendation!

Didn't eat here. Encouraged by the reviews, we went to the Flößerstube. Unfortunately it wasn't our thing. Tablecloths weren't clean and we didn't like the ambience. Maybe it was just us, the other guests' reviews were more positive 👍🏼.

Food was very good. Absolutely extraordinary for a tourist hotspot. The price is also completely reasonable. Unfortunately only cash payment, which is also completely unusual for a tourist area. Therefore a star deduction, because nowadays you can't actually do that.

Authentic Bavarian food of excellent quality served by very friendly people. My wife took the venison platter, my daughter the stag and I had the schweinbraten. Some of the best food we had on this trip through Bavaria and the Tirol.

Unfortunately the knuckle was nothing... We ordered it in advance, but unfortunately the meat was tough and the crust was rubbery and fluffy. It's a shame... However, the veal schnitzel was very good and recommended!

Went there spontaneously for dinner today. Were brought to the table in a very friendly and courteous manner. After a quick look at the menu, we ordered our food and drinks. The food and the service were absolutely top. We'd love to come back.

With the mountain in the background and the view of traditional Bavarian cuisine, we stopped at this restaurant. Here, due to the hot weather, we had two of the soups and one dish from the daily menu. The quality of the dishes was very good - but also at a corresponding price.

The interior is really well designed, you can find all the parts of a raft built into the ceiling and the Gastraun is also kept rustic and cozy. The outdoor area, on the other hand, just seems spartan/loveless and doesn't really invite you to linger for a long time. Unfortunately, we were "lucky" enough to sit at a table next to which there was an ant trail, which wasn't particularly fun if we had open shoes. The service is good, quick and friendly. The food is absolutely sufficient in terms of portion size, appetizingly prepared and reasonably priced.

It was not possible to serve my soup at the same time as the main course to my companion. Payment only possible with cash. This should be pointed out in advance. Dirty service: We should complain to the boss.

The room is always busy, so reservations are very important! The food is simply great and for us one of the best in Garmisch. We are regularly in this region and visit the Flößerstube at least once per stay!

Didn’t appreciate being yelled at by staff, can’t speak for the food as we decided to vote with our wallets and leave. Cold & depressing atmosphere.

Staff so incredibly rude we didn’t even stay to see the menu; granted we sat at our table for 5 minutes without being given one.

Where do I begin? First, shortly after 5 p.m., when the restaurant opened, a table for two was reserved, then the message came (which I've never heard anywhere else before) that they couldn't guarantee that we would sit alone! I mean, well, we sat alone but we also spread out. Next point: Ordered Wienerschnitzel with fries and lemon soda. Worst Wiener Schnitzel. The breading should have been airier and steam should have come out when cutting. Unfortunately, despite the lemon juice, it was very dry. Who has ever asked for sauce with a Wienerschnitzel? Sauce (ketchup and mayo) that I got in snack packs like from McDonald's wasn't really great either. The fries were okay. The lemonade was probably the best. The ambience wasn't great either. Despite the light source, it was rather dark, like a broom closet. Not to mention another guest who wanted to swat the fly flying around and the probably more Bavarian lush pop music, which was a bit inappropriate for "eating out". But the big thing was that we were simply presented with the bill without asking whether we would pay separately or together. So you had to do the calculations separately. It's clear that I don't give tips. Something different was tasty and people tended to eat it because of the prices. You won't get food for free anyway if you say you don't like it.

First of all: food was very tasty, there's nothing you can say! We were served by an employee who was always polite to us. However, the boss who stood behind the counter was completely unfriendly. Bossed the waitress around and was rude to all the guests. A pity!

DANGER !!! If you're looking for authentic Bavarian cuisine on vacation, you've come to the right place!! The inn is beautifully and rustically furnished. The service was on point and only made sure that nothing was missing. The food was perfect. The paprika schnitzel and the roast pork were TOP! Worth a visit!! We will be back!

I really don't know where else you can get such a great paprika schnitzel. My favorite. Everything else is also very good.

A fabulous place for dinner! The food was so good it completely changed our mood. Very well prepared, great service in a cozy place! We went with the day special and it was great! The owners don’t speak much of English but we managed and they are very sweet. Note the payment is cash only!

We were guests there last night. We visited a friend who lives here and therefore knows most of the restaurants and we all agreed: it was some of the best food we have ever eaten. Our choice of food was the Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle, the grill pan and the pepper steak. Every single ingredient or dish was fresh, warm, fried to perfection and simply delicious. We would also give more than 5 stars here!

Good Bavarian economy with very friendly service. Small menu with all the classics, such as paprika schnitzel, grilled plates, roast venison, etc. All quite good and very plentiful, you almost can't get out of there without schnapps.

The food was of poor quality. There were five of us and everyone was dissatisfied. The food was on the table after five minutes. It resembles a canteen. Schnitzel with different sauces. The cranberries from the Aldi jar, the fries from Lidl. Really only intended for people who think they're almost starving.

We entered this restaurant based on the positive reviews. We took a cutlet with chips and a goulash... Meat of both dishes of medium-low quality, difficult to chew and covered by other flavors... I wouldn't recommend it honestly, there is a lot to improve in the quality of the cuisine especially in relation to prices... However friendly staff and nice environment

Cosy bavarian restaurant with a traditional interior. Good selection of food and very friendly service. The menu items might seem fancy, but in reality, the courses are fairly simple though tasty.

The veal schnitzel was super tender and delicious. The roast venison was very tasty. The sauce is spiced up with mushrooms, but it's not on the menu. You can only pay in cash. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, the landlord found a table for us. Price/performance is also right. You get a good portion. You don't leave here hungry. We went here based on reviews on Google. And that worked out great. We can recommend it.

Totally rustic restaurant with very good food and fast and good service. Unfortunately one meal came wrong, I ordered roast venison, but venison goulash came instead. But it was also very good, so it wasn't tragic. Can only be recommended 👍

A hidden destination that delivers too notch tapas size deliciousness. The pork was amazing and the dessert donuts very delicious. Highly recommend finding this place after a walk about downtown Garmisch.

Food was OK to good. The service was ignorant, rude. The children's food was spicy and overly peppery. Although we pointed it out. It was replaced hectically but after that the waitress simply ignored us.

The roast venison and roast pork were incredibly good. The entire meal was on point. The homemade dumplings were a highlight.

Roast venison with juniper-lingonberry sauce plus wild mushroom cream sauce, which wasn't included, but it was actually quite good because the meat was unfortunately extremely dry in places... But it worked with the sauce. The rolls were tasty, but the consistency was a bit firm, perhaps that's just how they do it around here. The ambience is nice and rustic and everything is very tight, so there is no room for private conversations.

This was a beautiful place with delicious food. They were busy and went out of their way to seat our party of 5 without a reservation, but be sure to make one as we were lucky! The roast stag was excellent and their house schnapps has an herby kick that we loved. Highly recommended.

Not a five, but a solid four. Venison goulash was tender and tasty, bread dumplings were homemade, red cabbage was also very mild. Jägerschnitzel and grill pan also recommended. Everything was delicious, a table was reserved for us even though it was shortly before the kitchen closed, service was top notch. But that certain something was still missing for five stars.

The food didn't quite live up to the enthusiastic acclaim noted in other reviews. A significant portion of the menu was unavailable during my visit. Service was neutral; the staff neither particularly impressed nor disappointed.

We walked into this establishment by chance. Surprisingly, when we were fully seated, they found us a table. Very smart waitress. The portions are large. The deer was very tasty. The interior is cozy.

There is nothing wrong with the food and it tasted very good. However, despite having a reservation, we were supposed to be seated at the table with other people. The first time I assumed it was an accident. However, when we were supposed to be put back together with strangers on the second day, we left. A note would have been nice to save yourself the journey. Otherwise a restaurant where you can eat well.

The service was very friendly. As a starter we shared venison goulash. Unfortunately, there were very few pieces of meat included for a hefty price of €19. For the main course we had pork loin in pepper cream sauce. Unfortunately the sauce was far too peppery, it felt like everything tasted like the peppercorns in the sauce, which was a shame. Unfortunately only cash payment works, there is a sign at the entrance. However, you could point this out personally at the beginning when taking your order.
