Excellent restaurant! We went there for dinner with some friends and both the food and the restaurant's atmosphere are amazing 🤩 Also, the waitresses were very friendly and kind 🙌🏼 They explained to us how to eat the food without fork 🍴 but it’s there in case you need it as well. We'll return in the future again for sure!

The change in my review relates to my last 3 visits. In the summer we left once after waiting for an hour. It was full, but after being greeted (as regulars, mind you) we were studiously ignored. The other two visits, each with a larger group, weren't as nice either. The atmosphere in the restaurant has always been a bit cool and the waiting times long, but even when it is comparatively quiet, the service takes 30 minutes for drinks alone. Reorders are not possible at all. The portions have become significantly smaller. The prices are still higher than the competition. Last time we visited there were really only 2 small pieces of chicken in the Doro Wot and we felt like we were being fooled. There are now very good alternatives in Leipzig and Halle and we no longer visit the Addis Café when we have an appetite for Ingera.

Best DoroWot in town, very reasonable price for big portion and the womens running the restaurant are super nice. Feel like being in Ethiopia. 10 out of 10, recommend

Absolutely delicious food! I only knew a few Ethiopian restaurants from Berlin and really wanted to try one near me. As already mentioned at the beginning, the food was really delicious and the plate for 2, although I was a bit skeptical at first, was totally enough for me and my girlfriend. You just have to bring some time. At first it “bothered” me a bit (too negative a word in this case) but then I remembered it as something positive. Since everything has to happen so quickly these days, it slows things down a bit and you can enjoy being together in the restaurant without having to worry about it in any way. I can only recommend it!

Exquisite cuisine. We are visiting Hamburg and were at Karls Café & Weine for the first time. We had a wonderful time, everything went so well. The host gives you a warm welcome and is very attentive. A fantastic ambience!

Lovely Ethiopian food with friendly and helpful service. Arranged to meet our business partners for a dinner meeting. Had the platter to share amongst four people. Lively vibe but still quiet enough to have a business conversation. First time for three of the group to have Ethiopian food and they thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my third time with Ethiopian food in different countries and Mesob is the best so far.

The restaurant is highly recommended. Anyone looking for something new will find it here. The meat was flavorful and very tender.
