The food was amazing, we had the mix platters and everything tasted really nice. Especially the chicken and the salad. And of course the injera. Huge portions. We also had the djudju maracuja beer which was nice and refreshing.

I loved everything about the place. The beautiful music, the food, the service. Top top. Oh and did I say the food? Because yeessss.

Today, the two of us ate at Mesob. We were very impressed with the food and the friendly service. The food was excellent and authentic. We ordered a platter for two. It was delicious, plentiful, and perfectly seasoned. We ate it in the typical Ethiopian style, with our fingers. The accompanying tea was also delicious. We would love to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

My husband and I lived in Ethiopia for four years, and Ethiopian food was a part of our daily life there. Back in Germany, we often visited Ethiopian restaurants. Mesob is by far the best in terms of food and service. We come regularly to eat there and enjoy it immensely. And of course, their house beer is a must.

Last week I went to Mesop with friends for dinner – and it was truly excellent! The Kitfo special was incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The vegetarian dishes were also fantastic, with a good selection. They even brought out more Ingera upon request, so we could relax and enjoy our meal without feeling completely satisfied. The service was consistently friendly and attentive. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious, but I had diarrhea that night and the next day. My girlfriend, unlike me, had the vegetarian version of the mixed plate and had no problems, so I attribute it to the meat. I've never had similar problems with food in Germany before...

I went there with friends, a spontaneous decision from the restaurant's perspective. I thought it was reserved for Halloween. Well, we got a good table for seven people. No problem, it was great. Our food arrived, and even special requests were no issue. Personally, the way the meal was served wasn't quite to my taste. I got a spoon and was happy with that. The food was very good, not too spicy, lightly seasoned. Extra bread was also no problem. Apart from the "musician" who came by playing music (to my ears, it was noise) and then asked for money, it was a very nice evening. I'd love to go again, but next time I won't try the mixed plates (a good way to try a variety of dishes) but rather a spicy meal, a salad afterward, and maybe dessert.

The service is OK, the beer too. The food is a matter of taste.

On our trip to Nuremberg, we wanted to try the exotic delicacies from Ethiopia alongside Franconian cuisine. The restaurant looks chic, so we found a comfortable spot. We chose two dishes from the concise menu, which were brought very quickly. You actually eat with your hands here; the flatbreads serve as cutlery. At one point, a waiter came and asked me if I wanted more flatbreads, which I politely declined due to the huge plate. So I actually ate the rest with my hands, since there were enough napkins. It was very tasty, well-seasoned, and plentiful. The price/performance ratio was perfectly reasonable: €50 for three drinks and two generous, delicious meals—what more could you want? It was a great experience with a very attentive and polite staff. Thank you.

An Ethiopian restaurant in the southern part of town with specialties from Ethiopia and Eritrea. I thought it was funny that they brew their own beer here in Franconia—a truly innovative idea. The food was spicy for my taste, but flavorful. Everything is served in stew versions. You eat with your hands, but you can also use forks, which we gladly took advantage of. Ethiopian cuisine is a wonderful experience. You eat with your hands, using injera as utensils. I tried the 8 and 9. I preferred the 8. For those who like spicy food, the 8 is fantastic. For newcomers, we're happy to share a mixed plate of your choice. Overall, I can say the salad was delicious, and the meat was very tender and tasty.

Four of us found a place here on a Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m. without a reservation. We sat in the back of the restaurant. We opted for the special mixed plate for four people and skipped an appetizer. I cannot judge the authenticity of the food, but due to the large number of guests with African backgrounds, I firmly assume that the food is very authentic. In terms of taste, it was definitely a sensation. The only thing that initially unsettled us was eating without cutlery, but the uncertainty disappeared with the second bite at the latest. You can wash your hands before and after, and plenty of napkins are provided. The Mesob beer, which is brewed according to our own recipe in a Franconian brewery, is also highly recommended. The lady in service was very nice, the drinks and food also came quickly. The only point deducted is the ambience; anyone expecting a fancy restaurant here will unfortunately be disappointed. The furniture is still functional, comfortable and, above all, clean. We also found the background noise to be very pleasant. Although many tables were occupied and conversations were taking place, it was by no means too loud. The background music wasn't a disturbing factor either. All in all, we will definitely come back if the opportunity arises!

Lively vibe but still quiet enough to have a business conversation. First time for three of the group to have Ethiopian food and they thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my third time with Ethiopian food in different countries and Mesob is the best so far.

Ethiopian restaurant with different solutions for vegetarians and vegans. Interesting experience to try interesting cuisine.

Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. Always slightly spicy. However, you should be aware that eating is done with your hands. The dishes are mostly stews and heartily seasoned. Dishes that are meant to be eaten by two or three people are particularly recommended. Here you get a nice selection of the stews mentioned. Once incense was lit for smoking. There is also a good beer.

I had the vegetarian platter and I was pleasantly surprised - it was really delicious and reminded me of my visit to Addis Ababa. However, the portion was quite large for one person, so I ended up running out of room for dessert. I was particularly impressed by the bread that was served with it. It gives the food a very special touch. Traditionally, people eat here without cutlery: you take a piece from the plate with the bread - a nice experience that makes the meal even more authentic. If you want to try something different, you should definitely give this a try. Maybe the portions could be a little smaller, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience.

Great discovery of Ethiopian cuisine The service is approximate but the staff are kind and welcoming. We eat with our fingers but we don't give napkins. The toilets are clean but the soap dispenser was empty: convenient for washing your hands before eating with your fingers. Their cuisine is generous and appetizing: it makes us discover Ethiopia in a very beautiful way.
