Wirklich unglaublich lecker! Wir aßen eine vegane Kombi, einen riesigen Teller mit verschiedenen vegetarischen Currygerichten auf einem Bett aus Anjiro. Drei weitere Anjiro wurden ebenfalls serviert. Wir bestellten sie scharf, und sie waren scharf und köstlich. Zum Nachtisch tranken wir exzellenten äthiopischen Kaffee.

Mega - mehr muss man nicht sagen! Ich (wir)war(en) heute das erste Mal hier. Es gab Gored Gored be-awazi. Leicht gebratenes oder auch rohes Rindfleisch mit „ein wenig“ Schärfe. Ich hab schon ewig nicht mehr so etwas megatolles gegessen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Es gibt noch einiges auf der Karte was wir probieren wollen.

Wir waren unsicher, welches äthiopische Restaurant wir zum Abendessen wählen sollten. Schließlich entschieden wir uns für dieses. Es hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen: Wir wurden von einer sehr netten Frau (der Inhaberin) herzlich empfangen und das Essen war köstlich. Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Bestes äthiopisches Restaurant in der Stadt. Wir haben sie alle probiert. Der Geschmack ist intensiv, nicht zu scharf, und ansonsten einfach original äthiopisch. Die Wirtin ist super nett.

Bockstarkes Essen. Sehr lecker und definitiv mal etwas anderes. Ein paar Probleme bei der Kartenzahlung am Ende woraufhin mir unterstellt wurde, mein Konto wäre wohl nicht gedeckt oder meine Karte wäre defekt. Beides jedoch definitiv nicht der Fall. Letztlich konnte zum Glück jemand bar zahlen, sonst hätte es wohl Schwierigkeiten gegeben.

Ich bin in Äthiopien geboren und aufgewachsen und kenne unsere Küche sehr gut und das Addis Abeba Restaurant ist für mich eines der besten äthiopischen Restaurants in Berlin. Das Essen ist jedes Mal unglaublich lecker, frisch und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Service ist so herzlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich wirklich wie zu Hause. Das Essen im Addis Ababa war eines der berührendsten und kulturell bereicherndsten Erlebnisse, die ich in Berlin hatte. Vom ersten Moment an empfing mich das Personal mit unglaublicher Herzlichkeit, einem ehrlichen Lächeln und einer wunderbaren kulturellen Atmosphäre, die mir das Gefühl gab, vollkommen willkommen zu sein. Ich genoss die traditionelle Feier in vollen Zügen, inklusive des hausgebrauten gelben Biers Tejji (mild und perfekt ausbalanciert) und der unvergesslichen Kaffeezeremonie im Morgengrauen – aromatisch, authentisch und zutiefst bedeutungsvoll. Das Essen war geschmackvoll und wunderschön angerichtet, und die traditionellen Gemälde und Fotos schufen eine immersive Atmosphäre. Besonders angetan war ich von den künstlerischen Details, darunter die Tattoos von Almaz und Meseret. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor; the injera and the various meat and vegetable dishes are especially outstanding. Really delicious food, high-level service, my friend and I really enjoyed the food, a pleasant and wonderful atmosphere. The place is clean, I feel like I'm in a restaurant in Ethiopia.

We wanted to try something new and special with our family (8 people), so we decided on the "Addis Abeba." Perhaps we caught the restaurant on a bad day, but we were disappointed. We waited about 30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Our food order wasn't even taken correctly; we received the wrong dish. The menus were bland, and we all missed the "special" part of the food. And ultimately, the portion sizes were quite meager. And to top off the evening, our order for Ethiopian coffee for two people was canceled; unfortunately, it wasn't available (on a Saturday evening). The bottom line for us: a disappointing evening after much anticipation.

Heartwarming food and service at the Addis Abeba! We felt very welcome at the restaurant. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food seems to be very authentic and very tasty and beautifully arranged on a big plate to share. Different vegetables and sauces and dips, a soft and tasty special bread, freshly baked each morning and great meat seasoned perfectly. We will come back to taste different dishes and enjoy the time at Addis Abeba.

The dishes are great and the meat is tasty, but the portions are not huge and it's a little bit pricey. The samosa is our favorite.

Small place but with several seats also outside. The menu is not large but has several veg choices, as well as combinations, all served with injera, the latter very balanced, not too acidic. I tried two dishes and even if completely vegetal, very good, legumes cooked very well. The service is calm and friendly. Prices are normal!

We ordered one Chicken dish which was quite okay but the quantity was very less. And the Lamb dish was Pretty horrible. We found the meat was not so fresh and the taste was also weird somehow. We were trying Ethiopian food for the first time but unfortunately the experience was not so good.

For me, Addis Ababa is much more than just a restaurant. Every dish feels like a little trip to Ethiopia – full of warmth, spices and soul. The injera, the intense sauces, the variety of flavors - everything tastes like Ethiopia, even if it's far away. I always enjoy coming here because you don't just eat here, you feel welcome.

In this sense, it's a gem in the area when it comes to dining. The taste is great, the spices are used perfectly! The portions aren't big enough, though - we had a platter for four people. The prices are very high, in my opinion. The service is friendly but not professional. The wait for the food is unusually long. I would recommend it, but I won't go there again myself; it was a unique experience.

Excellent restaurant! We went there for dinner with some friends and both the food and the restaurant's atmosphere are amazing 🤩 Also, the waitresses were very friendly and kind 🙌🏼 They explained to us how to eat the food without fork 🍴 but it’s there in case you need it as well. We'll return in the future again for sure!

It couldn't be more authentic! Our family loves going to this restaurant. Sometimes it's the loving people, sometimes the heavenly food or the meditatively happy music that lures us out of the house even in the darkest, ice-cold Berlin winter weather. I love Ethiopian cuisine and have known it for a long time. Last time I was very disappointed because the food was served in very small bowls. These bowls were then placed on a plate, rather than on a tray as usual. Too little for the price and the taste was much better. Too bad!

Very disappointing. Mini portion, left me half hungry. It was more like an appetizer, the price (≈15 EUR) was unreasonable, it was worth more than 5 EUR. It didn't really taste like anything (tasteless, barely seasoned). My companion was equally disappointed and cannot understand the good reviews.

Charged us 3.90€ each for two glasses of water after making it clear that we wanted tap water. Steer clear.

Although the restaurant advertises being open until midnight, we were turned away at 9 PM on Sunday because it had already closed. I’ll update ratings based on food when I get a chance to dine here. I have updated the ratings after finally eating here. This is probably the best Ethiopian food in Berlin. Hands down!

Simply delicious! After I had already been to Frankfurt in the heart of Africa several times, we went to Addis Ababa in Berlin. In terms of taste, the cuisine was definitely up to par; it was extremely tasty. We ordered a mixed platter for 2. 2 of the dishes were quite spicy, some were normally spicy and some were mild (especially vegetarian parts). We would recommend the restaurant without reservation, only the atmosphere could be a little more cozy (tablecloths, candles, decorations) You can see that it used to be an old corner bar and they lovingly tried to decorate it in an African way. The service was very nice and authentic as was the cuisine. No problem even with a stroller THANKS

The food was amazing and the service was very good

I ate here with my girlfriend and we decided on the "platter" with various meat dishes. As stated, portion is enough for three+ people. It was incredibly tasty and the friendly manner of the waitress topped it off. She offered to show us how to eat the food at home, which we really liked. I can only recommend trying the coffee after your meal, it tasted full-bodied and mild. Very very tasty. Great value for money and you should definitely try it.

Food was ok but the service was awful. The waitress left us waiting for the drinks for more than 45 minutes, rolling her eyes for everything, like cleaning the table as we sat or if we dared say something about the delays. Unfortunately a sad experience.

I was there recently with my mom. And we had the vegan traditional menu/platter for two. Super tasty, service was super friendly and accommodating, food arrived quickly. Only recommended. The only thing - I find the interior a bit cold, bare but still nice.

I really liked the restaurant. Judging by the clientele, it's an authentic Ethiopian restaurant, which is a good sign. The atmosphere was very pleasant, it wasn't too loud and not too quiet. The service was very friendly/polite, a bit reserved and calm, spoke half English and half German, which was fine for me. The food tasted very tasty. I tried the Ethiopian beer Habesha, light and fruity, very tasty! The meat is hidden under the pastes/sauces. I took number 10 (15.90 euros) with a beer (4.50 euros) for a total of 20.40 euros. My colleague took the 6 or 7. The sauce definitely tasted very cheesy. Not like in my dish, where the sauces were exclusively very savory and spicy. The spiciness was okay, not extremely strong, but not too mild either. The longer I ate, the more I felt the spiciness. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to try Ethiopian cuisine. The prices are okay for today's times and the culinary offerings!
