I was so very disappointed . Based on other reviews I made a booking for our family. We paid 150€ for 4. The food wasn’t fresh or tasty, I’m afraid. We came home Hungry. I’m afraid this was probably the worst restaurant I’ve eaten in Frankfurt. I had to apologise to my family when we came out. I am sorry, but I would not go here again or recommend anyone else to

After the very positive television report from My Local Your Local, we wanted to try Ethiopian cuisine on site. Traveled an extra 50 kilometers to meet up with friends. The greeting was as cool as the table by the window. There was a draft through the old windows. After a while the drinks were served to us. We ordered our food quite quickly because we were very hungry. When we ordered, the waitress explained to us that we should order bread, which later turned out to be ice-cold mini millet pancakes. (Teff Ethiopian) The food came after over an hour even though there was nothing going on in the restaurant. After all, the surprise was big, The mixed platter for 2 people each, which was offered under the beef section, was cold, on top of it these flat cakes and then various dishes with lentils, chickpeas, millet and some indefinable dips, plus some beef like goulash, but only a few mini cubes. When we asked, we even got cutlery and napkins that were thinner than toilet paper. There was a chicken drumstick in the middle for 2 people. The whole thing is visually not a stunner. It was also only possible for 1 person to be fed. What was on the plate was partly indefinable. The platter for 2 came with the flatbreads underground €64.90 which had a value of around €6 to €7. As a chef, I can rate this well. Once jealous is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ethiopian restaurant. The low score is because of the size of the portions and the price you pay for it. We made a reservation in the morning for dinner, right when we arrived they asked us if we had made a reservation even though the whole restaurant had a couple of friends and one drunk person who at some point decided to yell at the only waitress who was there. that he waits a long time for the bill. In our case, the waitress was slow and indifferent, she took a while to take our order and was very impatient with our questions about the dishes. In the end you ordered the plate of the mix for one which costs around €27-28 but the plate arrived almost empty. A measured and small portion of chopped meat. And the rest of the plate was with corn, spinach, cheese, a hard-boiled egg and one leg of chicken, but it happened as if it came out of the fridge, all of which was placed on injera. I didn't leave the restaurant full despite the high price In short, a disappointment!!!! This is my first time in an Ethiopian restaurant and I probably won't be back

The location is quite ok. Small but nicely decorated. The light wasn't quite as comfortable as I know it to be. The light was too bright for me. There were 2 or 3 small tables that were very low. Either the chairs don't fit or I don't know who should sit there. The service was very nice. The food was tasty but a little small for 2 people. You had to order the injera separately, it was very expensive for very little. We had to order a second portion again. Unfortunately the injeras weren't that good, either not fresh or poorly made. Definitely very, very sour. I've eaten fresher food. Otherwise easy to reach. You can easily walk there from Konstablerwache.

We ate the delicious mixed platter for 2 people, appetizingly prepared and well seasoned (not too spicy)! The service was very friendly. The tables were still decorated for Christmas and lit with a table lamp, which looked cozy. We had a 2:1 voucher booklet, so the total bill was bearable. Eating out is currently expensive and something special everywhere. We can recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come by again. Danger! Only cash payment possible.

Platz 1 in Frankfurt aller afrikanischen Restaurants ist für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Wir beide sind schon seit über 20 Jahren in der Frankfurter „afrikanischen Gastroszene“ unterwegs und denken schon, uns hier ein Urteil erlauben zu können. Die vegetarische Platte war geschmacklich sehr ungewürzt (Shiro war Klasse, Linsen Naja, Spinat eher „Deutsch“). Die Portionsgröße der Gemüsesorten war nicht ausreichend für einen Erwachsenen. Das Kitfo war geschmacklich gut, der mitgelieferte Grünkohl auch eher ungewürzt. Die Preise sind in diesem Restaurant deutlich höher als in vergleichbaren Restaurants. Zusammengefasst: wir waren mit dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht zufrieden.

Due to the high reviews we reserved a table. As soon as I entered the restaurant I had the impression that I was visiting a snack bar. The room was uncomfortably bright, and there were simple paper napkins on the table as a tablecloth. Everything seemed very simple. I chose a vegetarian starter and the vegetarian plate. As an aperitif we had the house cocktail. The cocktail was delicious. The starter was manageable and that also applied to the vegetarian main course. The whole thing wasn't particularly warm either. The taste was okay. The service was friendly. But sorry... I can't understand how the top ratings come about here.

Spontaneously before departure, we were in downtown Frankfurt. As fans of Ethiopian cuisine with experience at home and abroad, our expectations were correspondingly high. The service was more than friendly and accommodating! Due to allergies I had to eat vegan, which wasn't a problem at all. As a greeting from the kitchen we received a very tasty snack. The starters and the main course were freshly prepared. It was more than enough food for two people, and we also had injera twice. We had a delicious Chardonney with our meal. At the end we had the traditional coffee which tasted very good. From our perspective, the food was 100% originally Ethiopian prepared - slightly spicy, which we really appreciated. In short, a very successful meal and definitely recommended.

Ambiance was good, service was nice but not really attentive (even though there were only 4 guests including us). If you've been to other restaurants (with food from Ethiopia or Eritrea), unfortunately the food is just ok. I always eat the same thing (see picture) and unfortunately that “just” made me full. Prices are a bit high for the quality that is delivered (you had to order bread, which in my opinion is a MUST included with the dish...how else are you supposed to eat it without cutlery?) Therefore only 3 stars.

The portions were larger than the previous reviews show, so they made a lot of improvements. We had a mixed platter for two and had the rest packed up because there was so much. We were at €55.90 for the meat platter. The different lentils, chickpeas and other dishes were a culinary delight. It was served hot, The chicken dish in the middle was a chicken wing in a delicious (I think honey) sauce. The atmosphere was cool, the tables were clean, and there was little going on due to the construction site across the street. You can only pay in cash, which is important to know in advance.

Honestly amazing food, so tasty and well prepared. I felt like I could eat for hours without feeling full! There was also a good variety of meat and vegetarian dishes, so it’s a good place to go with a group. The staff is super sweet, and the place has a really good vibe. Viele uns unbekannte Gerichte aus der vielfältigen Küche Äthiopiens. Das äthiopische Bier wird in einer Nussschale serviert und schmeckt sehr fruchtig. Die Linsensuppe war ziemlich scharf, die frittierte Teigtaschen etwas zu scharf frittiert. . Der gemischte vegetarische Teller war wirklich lecker - er ist sogar vegan. Achtung - man isst es ohne Besteck! Das dazu gereichte äthiopische Brot ist total lecker: säuerlich und würzig, saugt ideal alle Soßen auf. Zum Schluss hatten wir noch einen äthiopischen Kaffee - für uns etwas ungewohnt. Vielen Dank an die Bedienung, die uns gut beraten hat.

Not sure what happy, the most expensive restaurant, it was Friday and we where look Ethiopian restaurant since we can’t eat anything but vegetables, some stop by this restaurant, trouble service, and food was not anything especial, but a lot expensive compared with other Ethiopian restaurants, I will never go back

Wir hatten eine große Platte für 2 Personen und hörten aus der Küche nur das Geräusch der Mikrowelle. Vorspeise Totalausfall für 8 €, 2 traurige Teigtaschen serviert auf einem Teller, Inhalt verbrannt. Mit je 1 Bier und 1 Wasser 90€ gezahlt. Keine Empfehlung.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Habesha restaurant in Adabina resturant which is located in germany and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a variety of traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes, all of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the injera, a spongy sourdough flatbread that is used to scoop up the various stews and sauces. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. The restaurant also had a great selection of drinks, including traditional Ethiopian coffee that was brewed right at the table The kitfo,Doro wot(chicken) well made. lentils wot is amazing its so fresh to eat the tejjj that they provided amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this Habesha restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch and I can't wait to go back!

I had the meat combo which came with 2 meat dishes and 4 veg dishes. One of the Vegetarian dishes was not fresh, it was on the verge of turning. The portions were small for the price and I was told they only accept cash unless I spent more than $100 euros. Had to walk a few blocks to an ATM. The food is far from being authentic.

Food was very good, but the price was way too exorbitant. A main course with meat for 25 to 30€. The restaurant is too weak for that. The ambience and cleanliness as well as the food quality are nowhere near this price. Comparable Ethiopian restaurants have prices of €15-20 per main course. The restaurant is always very empty. I have a guess as to why that is.

We waited for more than 25 minutes and the end the chicken was cold and the food is not fresh. The waitress told us she well add more chicken since we ordered a dish for two and she said will replace the beef with the chicken but at the end the plate came cold and literally empty she didnt replace the beer, it ended up being for one person and we had a dish full of empty spaces. We paid 71 euros for unfresh food and a bad service.

A beautiful, small and very authentic restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and we all felt very comfortable. The food was really delicious! Definitely worth a visit if you visit Frankfurt. We'll definitely be back :)

We stopped by spontaneously and were warmly welcomed. The premises and the atmosphere are very cozy and the menu has a wonderful selection of different vegetarian and meat dishes. We shared a plate for two and were very full. The selection of “sauces” is large, some were spicy, some were neutral, so that the flavors balanced each other out well. The Ethiopian beer tastes wonderful and is served in an exciting way ;-) The price for us was around 30 euros per person including drinks.

Food very mediocre, several dishes were only lukewarm. Injera charged extra, 9 euro for two people which seemed strange because dishes were already about what would be expected (21 euro for doro wat, 19 for vegan platter). Note: cash only. Decent but there are much better options.

Adabina is really a very good restaurant. I traveled specifically from Karlsruhe, which meant a journey of around two hours. The staff were extremely nice and friendly and took good care of me. The traditional food was also very tasty and exceeded my expectations.

Not recommended at all. Reasons: Food was quite spicy and you could not taste any difference between the different elementa of the dish, everything was tasting the same. The only good thing? The donuts at the end. Portions super super small for the prices. 6 more slices of their bread costed us 18€ more. Honestly too much for that super sad bread. I have eaten much better Ethiopian in other places in Frankfurt and at a super cheap price Oh and they don't accept card even if you are spending 200€

Let me start with the atmosphere and the interior design, it is amazing 👏 well represent Ethiopia and I love their little bar look. I would give the food 10/10 😋 we had sambosa, kitfo and kikel and we love all. I recommend to have the authentic Ethiopian injera instead of the one baked with all purpose flour. I think the single authentic injera was 4.50 euro. There traditional Ethiopian Teji is so refreshing. Well there price is fair for the experience appart from the bottle of Teji, we took a bottle of teji for 26 euro which I found a bit more than I expected. They only accept cash. It would be nice if they accept card too. Generally, recommend the restaurant 🥰

Ich habe mich gefreut wieder mal äthiopisch essen zu gehen. Mir gefällt es, wenn Auswahl nicht groß ist, genau wie in dem Laden. Aber leider waren fast alle Speisen sehr ähnlich. Es gab keine Möglichkeit eine Platte selbst zusammenzustellen. Jedoch haben wir was passendes gefunden. Das war lecker. Gleichzeitig sehr durchschnittlich und quasi normal, obwohl die Preise ziemlich hoch sind. Bedienung ist super! Afrikanische Einrichtung :)
