Ich habe schon einige Äthiopische Restaurants in Frankfurt ausprobiert und dieses reiht sich leider ganz hinten ein. Preis-Leistung hat hier leider garnicht gestimmt und ich verstehe die ganzen guten Bewertungen hier nicht. 32€ für eine gemischte Platte für 1 Person (Wir hatten extra nachgefragt ob es für mehrere Personen reicht). Das war mit Abstand die Teuerste die ich je auf einer Karte gesehen habe (Normalerweise zwischen 16-22€). Ich habe mich für ein Rindgericht für 22€ und meine Begleitung für in Lammgericht für 24€ entschieden. Die Portionen waren verhältnismäßig sehr klein v.a. das Lammgericht, wodurch wir zum ersten Mal ein äthiopisches Restaurnat hungrig verlassen haben. Das Injera-Brot war kalt und geschmacklich war es gut aber keinesfalls so, dass es diese Preise rechtfertigt oder ein Highlight ist. Der Service war sehr nett und die Einrichtung schön. Es gibt in FFM weitaus bessere Restaurants!

Es hat mir nicht gefallen. Es war nicht sauber, das Essen war von schlechter Qualität, und meiner Meinung nach war die Bewertung von 4,8 nicht angemessen.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Adabina Ethiopian Restaurant und bin absolut begeistert. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker, authentisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Auch der Kaffee war hervorragend – aromatisch und perfekt serviert. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das eine sehr herzliche Atmosphäre geschaffen hat. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Hatte die gemischte Platte und die Sambisa mit Hackfleisch. Das Essen war sehr angenehm gewürzt und schmackhaft. Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Essen war sehr lecker! Beim Service ist definitiv Verbesserung möglich! Es halt alles sehr lang gedauert und wir haben immer sehr lang warten müssen obwohl nicht viele Gäste da waren, das geht meiner Meinung nach nicht. Außerdem wollten wir den Schlemmerblock einlösen worauf es dann hieß Samstags werden diese nicht akzeptiert. Das stimmt nicht da diese zu jeder Zeit eingelöst werden dürfen. Sowas geht auch garnicht.

Ich muss mich einem Vorgänger anschließen 😱 Preis / Leistung steht hier absolut nicht im Verhältnis. Wir hatten eine Platte für 2 Personen und mussten uns von dem Brot satt essen, da nur 1 kleiner Hähnchenschenkel und ca 50 g Fleisch serviert wurde. Der Geschmack war gut, allerdings für 64,00 € die Platte nicht gerechtfertigt. Kann für 72 Euro besser essen gehen

Wir sind durch eine Fernsehsendung auf das Restaurant Adabina aufmerksam geworden und hatten entsprechend hohe Erwartungen – leider wurden diese überhaupt nicht erfüllt. Der Service war schlecht. Die Kellnerin sprach kaum Deutsch und konnte Fragen zu den Speisen nur unzureichend beantworten. Die Portionen waren extrem klein, größtenteils kalt und für die verlangten Preise völlig überteuert. Geschmacklich war das Essen sehr schlecht. Ein als Lammfleisch ausgewiesenes Gericht bestand größtenteils aus Fett bzw. Innereien und war schlicht ungenießbar. Wir kennen viele sehr gute äthiopische und eritreische Restaurants und haben daher einen guten Vergleich – dieses hier war leider eine große Enttäuschung. Das Fleisch wurde zurückgeschickt, jedoch wurde keinerlei Alternative oder Entgegenkommen angeboten. Auch die vegetarische Platte war eine Frechheit: winzige Portionen zu einem völlig unangemessenen Preis. Zusätzlich enttäuschend: keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Stattdessen wurde auf einen Geldautomaten draußen um die Ecke verwiesen, um extra Bargeld abzuheben, da man ja nicht mit diesen unverschämten Preisen gerechnet hat. Hier fielen zusätzlich 6€ Gebühren an. Einziger Pluspunkt: die Toiletten waren sauber. Insgesamt eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung mit miserablem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Absolut keine Empfehlung.

We stumbled upon the Adabina restaurant on a whim! Unfortunately, it's currently surrounded by construction, but don't let that put you off. We received a warm welcome in a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant's impeccable cleanliness and well-maintained condition immediately caught my eye. It's a very comfortable place. The food was freshly prepared with care. My sister had a vegetarian mixed platter, and I had the kale with beef. It was so fresh and delicious. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. I was full and felt great after my meal :)

The price/performance ratio is completely out of whack. We ordered a platter for two and had to fill up on bread, as it only included one small chicken leg and about 50g of meat. The taste was good, but the platter was not worth €64.00. The same goes for two small filled pastries for €9.00.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed overall. We wanted to eat here because we had a Schlemmerblock coupon (2 main courses for the price of 1). However, we were initially told that this wasn't valid on Saturdays. This information, however, wasn't included in the Schlemmerblock, and we felt this wasn't true. Nevertheless, due to the many positive reviews, we decided to stay and simply pay the regular price. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive. We often sat for a long time without anyone stopping by our table. We had the vegetarian/vegan platter for two people. While everything was quite good and tasty, it wasn't really anything special. Especially for €42, we expected more. In summary, the restaurant unfortunately didn't impress us...

We visited this restaurant with a voucher and were unfortunately disappointed. The food was very salty, and the mixed meat platter for three people was very small. For €96, we received two small chicken drumsticks, about 50g of beef, about 50g of ground meat, and a lot of bread—totaling just not enough for three people. I eat at Adanina again and again and am always very satisfied. The food always tastes delicious and is freshly prepared. The Ethiopian coffee is a particular highlight – very aromatic and brings back real vacation memories for me. The interior is cozy and stylishly decorated. The location is quite central, even if the immediate surroundings aren't always the most beautiful – but the food more than makes up for that. I'd definitely love to come back soon!

NEVER AGAIN!!! This is simply the worst Ethiopian restaurant I've ever visited. As an Ethiopian by birth, I can judge this fairly accurately. 1. Despite Ethiopian food culture, injera and wot (flatbread and sauce) are sold separately here. Injera is essential to Ethiopian food and is simply part of it. However, we had to pay an extra €4.50 per injera. Otherwise, we had to eat the wot with a spoon like soup. That's not only greedy, but also a disregard for the generous Ethiopian food culture. 2. The value for money was abysmal. I don't know of any Ethiopian restaurant where such an average meal cost this much. We know of many restaurants in Frankfurt where we got a better deal (in terms of choice and taste) for half the price. €100 for three dishes with a couple of drinks is extremely excessive. Overall, we found the experience at this restaurant not only overpriced, but also an insult to Ethiopian culture and cuisine. I had to give it one star because zero stars weren't an option. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Arguably the most delicious Ethiopian restaurant in Frankfurt. People don't go to Ethiopian restaurants for the ambiance, but rather for the life-changing experience of the incredibly delicious Ethiopian food. If using untrue complaints to suppress critical feedback is a pattern, it raises serious concerns about how the establishment handles customer input.

yummy african food. i got the lamb which was very tender and had good flavor. rest of my party got the mix of vegetable dishes which i had a taste of and it was good. have to pay extra for injera but its not much and definitely worth it. i love injera! i would come here again if i were in frankfurt. i love ethiopian food and i'm happy i came here. food comes in those little basket things which was super cute. staff were very nice and helpful.

After the very positive television report from My Local Your Local, we wanted to try Ethiopian cuisine on site. Traveled an extra 50 kilometers to meet up with friends. The greeting was as cool as the table by the window. There was a draft through the old windows. After a while the drinks were served to us. We ordered our food quite quickly because we were very hungry. When we ordered, the waitress explained to us that we should order bread, which later turned out to be ice-cold mini millet pancakes. (Teff Ethiopian) The food came after over an hour even though there was nothing going on in the restaurant. After all, the surprise was big, The mixed platter for 2 people each, which was offered under the beef section, was cold, on top of it these flat cakes and then various dishes with lentils, chickpeas, millet and some indefinable dips, plus some beef like goulash, but only a few mini cubes. When we asked, we even got cutlery and napkins that were thinner than toilet paper. There was a chicken drumstick in the middle for 2 people. The whole thing is visually not a stunner. It was also only possible for 1 person to be fed. What was on the plate was partly indefinable. The platter for 2 came with the flatbreads underground €64.90 which had a value of around €6 to €7. As a chef, I can rate this well. Once jealous is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ethiopian restaurant. The low score is because of the size of the portions and the price you pay for it. We made a reservation in the morning for dinner, right when we arrived they asked us if we had made a reservation even though the whole restaurant had a couple of friends and one drunk person who at some point decided to yell at the only waitress who was there. that he waits a long time for the bill. In our case, the waitress was slow and indifferent, she took a while to take our order and was very impatient with our questions about the dishes. In the end you ordered the plate of the mix for one which costs around €27-28 but the plate arrived almost empty. A measured and small portion of chopped meat. And the rest of the plate was with corn, spinach, cheese, a hard-boiled egg and one leg of chicken, but it happened as if it came out of the fridge, all of which was placed on injera. I didn't leave the restaurant full despite the high price In short, a disappointment!!!! This is my first time in an Ethiopian restaurant and I probably won't be back

The location is quite ok. Small but nicely decorated. The light wasn't quite as comfortable as I know it to be. The light was too bright for me. There were 2 or 3 small tables that were very low. Either the chairs don't fit or I don't know who should sit there. The service was very nice. The food was tasty but a little small for 2 people. You had to order the injera separately, it was very expensive for very little. We had to order a second portion again. Unfortunately the injeras weren't that good, either not fresh or poorly made. Platz 1 in Frankfurt aller afrikanischen Restaurants ist für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Wir beide sind schon seit über 20 Jahren in der Frankfurter „afrikanischen Gastroszene“ unterwegs und denken schon, uns hier ein Urteil erlauben zu können. Die vegetarische Platte war geschmacklich sehr ungewürzt (Shiro war Klasse, Linsen Naja, Spinat eher „Deutsch“). Die Portionsgröße der Gemüsesorten war nicht ausreichend für einen Erwachsenen. Das Kitfo war geschmacklich gut, der mitgelieferte Grünkohl auch eher ungewürzt. Die Preise sind in diesem Restaurant deutlich höher als in vergleichbaren Restaurants. Zusammengefasst: wir waren mit dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht zufrieden.

Due to the high reviews we reserved a table. As soon as I entered the restaurant I had the impression that I was visiting a snack bar. The room was uncomfortably bright, and there were simple paper napkins on the table as a tablecloth. Everything seemed very simple. I chose a vegetarian starter and the vegetarian plate. As an aperitif we had the house cocktail. The cocktail was delicious. The starter was manageable and that also applied to the vegetarian main course. The whole thing wasn't particularly warm either. The taste was okay. The service was friendly. But sorry... I can't understand how the top ratings come about here.

Spontaneously before departure, we were in downtown Frankfurt. As fans of Ethiopian cuisine with experience at home and abroad, our expectations were correspondingly high. The service was more than friendly and accommodating! Due to allergies I had to eat vegan, which wasn't a problem at all. As a greeting from the kitchen we received a very tasty snack. The starters and the main course were freshly prepared. It was more than enough food for two people, and we also had injera twice. We had a delicious Chardonney with our meal. At the end we had the traditional coffee which tasted very good. From our perspective, the food was 100% originally Ethiopian prepared - slightly spicy, which we really appreciated. In short, a very successful meal and definitely recommended.

Ambiance was good, service was nice but not really attentive (even though there were only 4 guests including us). If you've been to other restaurants (with food from Ethiopia or Eritrea), unfortunately the food is just ok. I always eat the same thing (see picture) and unfortunately that “just” made me full. Prices are a bit high for the quality that is delivered (you had to order bread, which in my opinion is a MUST included with the dish...how else are you supposed to eat it without cutlery?) Therefore only 3 stars.

The portions were larger than the previous reviews show, so they made a lot of improvements. We had a mixed platter for two and had the rest packed up because there was so much. We were at €55.90 for the meat platter. The different lentils, chickpeas and other dishes were a culinary delight. It was served hot, The chicken dish in the middle was a chicken wing in a delicious (I think honey) sauce. The atmosphere was cool, the tables were clean, and there was little going on due to the construction site across the street. You can only pay in cash, which is important to know in advance.

Honestly amazing food, so tasty and well prepared. I felt like I could eat for hours without feeling full! There was also a good variety of meat and vegetarian dishes, so it’s a good place to go with a group. The staff is super sweet, and the place has a really good vibe. I definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Frankfurt (or living here) :)

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with decor that beautifully reflects Ethiopian culture. The service is attentive, and the staff is more than happy to guide newcomers through the menu, making the experience approachable and enjoyable.

Viele uns unbekannte Gerichte aus der vielfältigen Küche Äthiopiens. Das äthiopische Bier wird in einer Nussschale serviert und schmeckt sehr fruchtig. Die Linsensuppe war ziemlich scharf, die frittierte Teigtaschen etwas zu scharf frittiert. . Der gemischte vegetarische Teller war wirklich lecker - er ist sogar vegan. Achtung - man isst es ohne Besteck! Das dazu gereichte äthiopische Brot ist total lecker: säuerlich und würzig, saugt ideal alle Soßen auf. Zum Schluss hatten wir noch einen äthiopischen Kaffee - für uns etwas ungewohnt. Vielen Dank an die Bedienung, die uns gut beraten hat.
