Ich war spontan mittags auf der Durchreise. Schöner Ort, schöne Abwechslung zu all den anderen Standardläden. Sauber, gepflegt und kleine schöne Auswahl am Mittagsbuffet

Tolles Essen und schöne Location. Nette Bedienung, wir sind gerne dort. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ich kann eigentlich nur sagen, mega lecker, mega freundlich und ein fantastischer Mittagstisch als Buffet. Wer gerne afrikanisch isst, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben und alle anderen sollten es ausprobieren:)

Ich war jetzt bereits mehrmals mit Arbeitskollegen zum Mittagsbuffet da, aber auch schon am Wochenende. Das Essen ist super lecker! Und gerade für den Preis unschlagbar. Man kann sich, ganz nach eigenem Geschmack, einen Teller aus einer Vielzahl an Gerichten zusammenstellen. Habe das so in Frankfurt noch nicht gehabt. Der Personal ist sehr herzlich und nett :) Ein wirklich nettes, gemütliches Lokal und eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

Sehr kuscheliges Restaurant mit schönem Außenbereich unter Bäumen, super Bedienung und klasse gewürzten Essen. Der Kaffee war besonders toll mit den aromatischen Gewürzen. Hatten die vegane Probierplatte für zwei. Ein hidden Gem. Ich komme gerne wieder. :)

Ich habe kürzlich das Restaurant Sebeta in Frankfurt besucht und war begeistert. Das Essen war absolut köstlich, mit authentischen äthiopischen Aromen und großzügigen Portionen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt haben. Der Service war exzellent und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant warm und einladend. Wenn Sie in Frankfurt auf der Suche nach hervorragender äthiopischer Küche sind, kann ich das Restaurant Sebeta wärmstens empfehlen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen da. Direkt am Eingang wurden wir sehr nett vom Kellner begrüßt und zu einem Tisch gebracht. Eine Reservierung war nicht notwendig und wir konnten unseren Kinderbuggy leicht abstellen und auch ein Hochstuhl war vorhanden. Die vegetarische Platte war einfach himmlisch. Sehr leckere kleine Gerichte auf einer Art großen Pfannkuchen angerichtet der den ganzen Teller bedeckt. Jede*r Mitesser*in kann sich selbst ein Stück abreißen und damit von den Gerichten probieren. Es wird mit den Händen gegessen. Auch die ausgemachten Limonaden sowie der Tej (äthiopischer Met) waren sehr sehr lecker. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal zu Besuch. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Spezialitäten; wer scharfes Essen mag, sollte die Chilischoten probieren, die sind wirklich gut.

Eher durch Zufall bin ich beim Buffet gelandet. Ich hatte es eilig und wollte es mir eigentlich nur mal anschauen und wurde von der Bedienung / dem Eigentümer herzlich aufgefordert, es doch einfach zu probieren und es mir gemütlich zu machen. Er war so unfassbar lieb dabei und erklärte mir jedes Gericht geduldig 🥰 Also habe ich mich breitschlagen lassen, habe mir meine Teller zusammengestellt und bin mehr als satt geworden, das Injeera ist ein Traum, die benutzten Gewürze und die Vielfältigkeit ebenso! Ich liebe massig Gewürze! Und jedem dem es noch nicht scharf genug ist (auch mir) stehen noch Gewürze und Chili auf dem Tisch bereit! Und man kann sehr satt werden, all you can eat für 14,90€ unter der Woche am Mittag (Stand Februar 2026)! Drei Kritikpunkte habe ich aber leider: 1. Viele der Speisen sind leider viel zu ölig, das mag ich nicht, schmecken tut es trotzdem 😉 2. Der Reis wird am Buffet zu trocken weil er unten etwas anbrennt, da muss vielleicht öfter Wasser zugegeben werden oder zumindest gerührt werden 3. Das Buffet ist zu dunkel, es müsste beleuchtet sein, dass man die tollen Sachen auch richtig anschauen kann Aber gerne komme ich wieder und beim nächsten Mal möchte ich mir auch viel mehr Zeit nehmen! Und noch ein kleiner Hinweis: Besteck ist gar kein Problem, bei mir wurde es am Ende ein Mix aus „mit der Hand essen“ und Besteck benutzen 😂 Vielen Dank!

Bestes Restaurant mit hervorragendem Essen und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft. Ich habe die Atmosphäre sehr genossen und das Personal war erstklassig.

So ein kulinarisches Erlebnis habe ich noch nie gehabt. Das Essen? Köstlich und geschmackvoll. Dazu gab es eine würzige Beilage; man konnte nach Belieben nachwürzen. Der Service? Einfach erstklassig. Die Atmosphäre? Musik, Sauberkeit und Beleuchtung waren sehr gemütlich. Absolut empfehlenswert.

We returned to Sebeta after a long time, and it's still a wonderful place for Ethiopian food! All our dishes and the Ethiopian tea were delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was warm and welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! 🫶🏽

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the restaurant. We went without any great expectations and were pleasantly surprised. It's very cozy, and the woman who served us was incredibly friendly. I'm not sure how authentic the food actually is to Ethiopian cuisine, but it doesn't really matter because it was delicious and we had a wonderful evening. I would definitely go back. By the way, I noticed (unfortunately too late) that they also serve fufu. Just in case anyone wants to try it.

An absolute MUST near Frankfurts train station. This place is such a gem ! The moment you enter , you are immediately welcomed with a kind, caring and friendly hospitality ( it literally felt like an oasis in a cold autumn night). The food was excellent: complex, rich flavors and aromas in a variety of sauces and stews . Tender , juicy meat and veggies…Exquisite soul food! I will definitely go back when in Frankfurt

An unassuming restaurant, stumbled upon by chance. Luckily! The decor is functional, the service incredibly friendly. Where else do you find a cheerful waiter who stows your luggage and takes your coats? When we were there, they offered fufu with soup as a starter, which wasn't on the menu. So delicious and more than enough. The dishes on the menu sounded delicious, and the prices ranged from €13 to €18. Next time we're in Frankfurt, this will be a must-visit.

The two of us ate there, and at first we weren't sure whether to eat there or somewhere else. But it was one of the best, positive surprises of our trip to Frankfurt. The atmosphere was fantastic; you feel so at home, like you're in Africa. With attention to detail. The service was very friendly and incredibly accommodating! The food was amazing. Really good food! Something special! Even if it takes a little longer, it's full of charm and great food.

It's good to have seen it once, it broadens your horizons. A lot of promises, but mediocrity is what you get. Perhaps the stainless steel trivet and warming cover were typical of Africa. With the platter menu, the person in charge came and demanded extra money for the original bread after ordering, arguing that it wasn't included in the menu and the one provided was only customary locally. The bill became a problem and took 15 minutes, despite the cash register, for no good reason. When paying with cash, the original bread suddenly appeared to be a completely different dish. Unfortunately, without a bill, there's no money. The food was nice, but if it was African, then a good kebab nearby would be of higher quality. The wine from South Africa was good and within the range of its origins. According to research, the ownership of the restaurant has changed. Perhaps for the lunch menu to try the place out. We ordered two appetizer platters, lamb and fufu with spinach, and it was absolutely delicious! The appetizer platters allowed us all to try a lot. The highlight was the Ethiopian coffee at the end! 10/10

That was a wonderful dinner. I had the Sebeta menu. The flavors were so varied, and the dessert, yogurt with dates and honey, was also incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant. The people who work there were also very friendly and attentive. I would happily go back.

There are several African drinks to choose from. The food was excellent, with a selection that caters to a wide range of tastes. All in all, we would gladly return!

We've been waiting for 10 minutes, but we're still 20! We'll be there in 30 minutes before our bus! The restaurant was completely full, but we had a professional service and were very friendly! We're still waiting for Essen! The waiter would have to wait a few hours, but Essen would have to be friendly, but we wouldn't be happy :) We're still waiting for our stay in Frankfurt with this restaurant! Goodbye! If I could give 10 stars I would give 20! We only had 30 minutes before the bus! The restaurant was completely full, but we were served incredibly professionally and quickly! The food is incredibly delicious! The waiter himself offered us to take the food with us, but it was not necessary:) Next time our visit to Frankfurt will start with this restaurant! Delicious food, good (large) portions. The service was super friendly. We were there with two young children (2 and 4), who were incredibly enthusiastic and enjoyed their meals. They even made some small adjustments for the kids. Absolutely fantastic!

Everything is delicious with interesting spices! Tip: On Thursdays, there's a dinner buffet with about 12 dishes, including four meat options, plus soup and dessert. Drinks are quite inexpensive (for Frankfurt).

If you preferred to eat Teff Injera, they charge you 4.5 euro as an extra. In addition to the actual price you ordered. For me it looks over exaggerated 🤣

I have been there many times. I particularly like the Sebeta menu because it contains so many different Ethiopian dishes. But the other dishes are also very tasty. The Ethiopian coffee is excellent. The service is very friendly and competent. I can only recommend this restaurant.

I happened to walk past the restaurant and used my hunger as an opportunity to try some African food. The decoration is simple and appropriate and the ambience is pleasant. The service was very nice and couldn't have recommended anything better. A mixed platter for one person. You again I was very full and was able to try different flavors and intensities. Just right for me. The price was also reasonable. I'm sure I'll come back and take someone else with me. 😊

Authentic Ethiopian Restaurant!

We are absolutely thrilled! Everything tasted incredibly delicious. We had the mixed platter, which we always order in African restaurants because we like to have all the highlights on the plate at the same time. The young man who managed the restaurant alone that evening was understandably a bit overwhelmed, but in an incredibly friendly and charming way. He was very friendly and accommodating, which made the whole evening even better. We also really liked the ambience. The atmosphere was relaxed, all the guests were in a good mood, people smiled at them and immediately felt welcome. We definitely want to try to come back at least once a month. A real heartfelt restaurant.

Wow! Simply delicious!!! We had the vegan platter with teff injeras (as they are gluten free). It tasted absolutely excellent. Every single dish on the platter was incredibly good. We became aware of Sebeta through the Schlemmerblock and can only warmly recommend a visit. The service was very accommodating, the food was really tasty. We'd love to come back when we're in Frankfurt again!

Price-performance is great. Service is sometimes a bit confusing (depends on who is there). Attention: not suitable for business meals, the team can cook, but no receipt for entertainment.
