Really tasty and very friendly service. I recommend the homemade lemonade. A very special tip is the Ethiopian coffee in the traditional pot for digestion!

Wow! Simply delicious!!! We had the vegan platter with teff injeras (as they are gluten free). It tasted absolutely excellent. Every single dish on the platter was incredibly good. Perfectly seasoned and seasoned. We'll definitely be back (soon)!!!! The service is also super warm. You feel very welcome 💖

We became aware of Sebeta through the Schlemmerblock and can only warmly recommend a visit. The service was very accommodating, the food was really tasty. We'd love to come back when we're in Frankfurt again!

Price-performance is great. Service is sometimes a bit confusing (depends on who is there). Attention: not suitable for business meals, the team can cook, but no receipt for entertainment.

First time trying african/Ethiopian cuisine and it was amazing. Super nice staff and the food was full of flavor.

We had a mixed plate (very tasty!) and a chicken dish (unfortunately it wasn't to my taste, some of the spices didn't suit me) but would still come back and just eat something different. Really nice atmosphere and the waitresses were really nice, pure African feeling. The African beer was also an experience.

Go here for some good Quality ethnic Ethiopian delicacies.We ordered the Ethiopian teller which is a mixture of all their dishes.The taste was out of the world.Injera the bread was really tasty.All those food reminded me of Indian food which is similar in texture and taste.The service and atmosphere were really good.Highly recommended.

There were four of us eating and we had reserved a table. The restaurant wasn't at full capacity that day. The air in there had been very stuffy and we had to wait easily 20 minutes before we could place the order, but good. Unfortunately it took at least 30 minutes for the drinks, but we waited about 1.5 hours for the food after ordering. The food was very manageable and there was very little on it. We found it a bit bland and needed more seasoning. Unfortunately, it wasn't as spicy or spicy as we had imagined. Unfortunately we were very disappointed.

Very good, varied, unknown to the palate but definitely homemade food with a totally friendly service. If you need to slow down and feel full at the same time, this is the right place for you!

The restaurant is located in a walking distance form the main train station. It has a chill and welcoming atmosphere and most importantly the food is delicious and full of flavors. I recommend their lunch buffet.

The two of us ate there and had the dish with many different varieties. It was very tasty and the portions were also sufficient. The service is very nice. Small flaw that the service only speaks English. But that shouldn't be a reason not to eat there. This was the third African restaurant I have visited and the best so far.

I have seen many Ethiopian restaurants in Europe. For example, I have eaten at Ethiopian restaurants in Stockholm, Sweden, Paris, France, London, England, Rome and Milan, Italy, Copenhagen, Denmark, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Oslo, Norway. But I have never come across a restaurant as cool as Frankfurt's Sabetta restaurant. I enjoyed the beauty of the house, the hospitality, the location and most of all the food. If you come to Frankfurt, you won't regret it. By the way, I didn't ask about their nationality, religion or political affiliation. Because I don't need it. It is nice to see an Ethiopian restaurant that works according to European standards.

Very nice restaurant with very hospitable staff where you immediately feel welcome. We had reserved a table but wanted to sit outside, since the tables outside were all occupied, the restaurant got a table for us. The food was very good, so we will definitely eat there again. All in all a small restaurant that we can only recommend.

The restaurant has a certain type of atmosphere that is perfect for dates, alone time & group hangouts. The service is top. The food is fresh, delicious and worth the little wait. Very affordable and the East African music they play added to the dim light is hypnotic. I highly recommend it.

It was my first time eating Ethiopian food and I really liked it. The food was quite tasty, although not super spectacular There is definitely a deduction for the waiting time. We took the menu there 3 times with the Schlemmerblock, with a large plate for everyone. That means starter, mixed platter and dessert. Sitting in a restaurant for well over 3 hours is quite a feat. We waited about 30 minutes for the first drinks (!), and it took about 40 minutes between the main course and dessert. The hit for dessert was: Ordered: "Ice cream sundae with cream: Amarena cherry, Malaga with rum raisins, lemon sorbet with pieces" -> Received: a small scoop of vanilla and a small scoop of strawberry ice cream. And all of this without asking. When I asked, the owner (presumably) came and said "The other one is out" - I absolutely didn't order that, sorry. And my colleague certainly had cream with his dessert. Because of the long wait, I accepted it, I just wanted to finish. Enjoying was no longer possible. Another negative point for me was the bathroom. Ethiopians like to eat with their hands and that's okay, but for me it's particularly important to have washing facilities. Unfortunately, only ice-cold water comes out of the tap and the soap was so diluted with water that it had no effect at all. A little tip at the end for Schlemmerblock users: Don't take this menu. In my opinion, this is almost a scam. It's only worth it if everyone chooses the most expensive starters and desserts. Share the record and order the rest individually :)

The food is delicious, there is better in Frankfurt, but we liked it. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it because of the endless waiting times. Drinks take 20 minutes, starters take over half an hour and when we finally had the main course, we had already been in the restaurant for a good 1.5 hours. For dessert we ordered the ice cream, which was supposed to consist of 3 different types of sorbet and cream. But we only received two sad balls that had completely different varieties than those described on the menu. When asked, they said that everything else was over. A bit late to say that only when asked. It's a shame because the food took such a backseat and we were just happy to finally leave the shop after 3.5 hours. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of ordering the three-course menu because we couldn't stop after the first course and had to keep waiting for the next course.

We have been to Sebeta several times now. There is a good selection of meat and vegetarian (including vegan) dishes at reasonable prices. For our taste it is tasty and the portions are also sufficient. It should be said that we have never eaten at any other African restaurant or on this continent! The service here has completely changed over time! Although we are still the same people, we are met in a friendly, kind and helpful manner!

Essen war super, nur etwas sparsam mit dem Injera, kenne das eigentlich anders. Ambiente ist toll, Service war gut aber Getränke kamen sehr spät. Trotzdem 4/5, guter Laden 👍

Meine Frau und ich haben am 20. Sep. 2023 dort lecker gegessen. Leider habe ich die Karte und das Essen nicht fotografiert. Ich hatte Lamm mit Reis, nicht scharf und meine Frau eine Platte mit drei Fleischsorten, Gemüse auf Brot. Einfach lecker, uns haben die Gewürze angenehm überrascht und sie haben gut geschmeckt. Sollten wir noch einmal in Frankfurt sein, gehen wir wieder hin. Danke für die freundliche Bedienung.

Personal war sehr nett und bemüht, Essen ist einfach nicht meines. Wer afrikanisches Essen mag, ist dort bestimmt gut aufgehoben.

Ein schönes kleines und authentisches Restaurant. Wir waren schon in vielen afrikanisch/äthiopischen Restaurants in Frankfurt, hier ist das Essen mit Abstand am besten! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Empfehlung: Hausgemachte Limonade, ZilZil-Tibs und der Sebeta-Teller.

Sehr schmackhaftes Büffet mit diversen Gemüse- und Fleischgerichten. Die selbstgemachten Limonaden (z.B. Ingwer-Orange) sind eine wunderbare Erfrischung. Der Service, insbes. durch die Chefin, ist prompt und sehr freundlich, das Ambiente ein bisschen altmodisch, aber gerade dadurch sehr angenehm für eine ruhige Unterhaltung.

Essen war sehr lecker, haben die Platte für 3 Personen genommen. Portionsgröße war gut, könnte evtl ein wenig mehr sein. Leider war die Kommunikation mit dem Kellner etwas schwer, durch mäßig deutsch Kenntnisse. Aber alles in allem würde ich wieder kommen:)

Sehr freundliche Chefin, super Essen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen. Vor allem die roten Linsen (Yemissir Wot) und der äthiopische Tee sind sehr lecker. Innen ist das Restaurant schön eingerichtet, draußen gibt es einen netten Pavillion mit Sitzplätzen.

Das Essen (insbesondere Vorspeise und Dessert) war sehr gut, der Service aber leider eine Katastrophe. Unfreundlich, absolut unmotiviert und am Ende wurden wir noch angeschnauzt, dass wir unseren BeMy Gutschein vor der Bestellung hätten zeigen müssen (was absolut keinen Sinn ergibt). Schade, wir kommen deshalb trotz gutem Essen nicht wieder.

Nachdem ich fast zwei Jahre in Äthiopien leben durfte, darf ich sagen, das ich hier im Restaurant das authentischste äthiopische Mahl, bislang in Frankfurt, zu mir nehmen durfte. Erwähnenswert: hier gibt es echten "Buna" schon für zwei Personen, ohne die große Zeremonie! Vielen Dank,ich komme wieder!

Lokal bardzo skromnie wyposażony. Potrawy kuchni etiopskiej podawane w koszach wyglądały interesująco ale nie odważyłam się na jedzenie z obawy na ewentualne problemy żołądkowa.

Schönes Restaurant mit super service und leckerem essen. Wir waren bereits 2 mal dort ( 2/4 Personen). Bestellt haben wir jeweils den sebeta teller , der ist köstlich. Service war freundlich, schnäppschen gabs aufs haus. Einlösen des my frankfurt barometer Gutscheins war kein problem

Heute waren wir mit dem Barometerbuch spontan hier und haben draußen direkt einen Tisch für 3 Personen bekommen. Wie fast alle haben wir den 2=1 Barometerbuch-Gutschein für eine gemischte Platte (mit Fleisch) eingelöst und zusätzlich dann noch eine vegetarische Platte bestellt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das äthiopische Essen war sehr lecker. Der Spinat knoblauchlastig und etwas scharfer gewürzt. Das Hähnchenfleisch hatte, wie aber üblich, noch Knochen enthalten. Dazu hatten wir noch afrikanisches Bier, selbstgemachte Limonade und ein helles Hefeweizen als Getränke. Der Innenbereich ist auch gemütlich eingerichtet. Doch das Restaurant, welches nicht weit vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt ist, kann ich wirklich empfehlen.

05_23: Platte für Zwei bestellt . Optisch ist es sehr ansprechend, jedoch ist es geschmacklich doch nichts für mich. Der Laden ist aber schön eingerichtet und die 'Chefin' freundlich.
