Where do you start? Around the corner is a Greek restaurant where I've been several times! Whether it was two, four, or several people, it was always fine, and it was pretty crowded both inside and out. Except for the last time... it was packed outside. We were there early on a Sunday evening. We didn't have a reservation, but we still got a seat inside! The staff was friendly, the manager not so friendly. You could tell they were understaffed. I felt sorry for the employees. The tone and the way they yelled at their staff in front of the guests, or at a volume that a guest could hear. Sorry, that's a no-go...
The food: hmm, a total disaster.
Grilled peppers: partially burnt. Three had vinegar and oil marinade on them, as if they had been taken out of a salad plate!!!
Fried zucchini was OK.
Main course: I ordered gyros with fries. My partner got gyros with rice. So I went and complained. Less than 3 minutes later, we had fries... the gyros were burnt and dry, as if it had been cooked in a pan the day before.
My meal was OK (I was just hungry and looking forward to it). I was getting excited too soon...
When paying, I mentioned what was going on, so you don't know the atmosphere. The kitchen was miserable. We're understaffed, and the kitchen doesn't know how it's always been... and I wanted a tip, but unfortunately, I had to pull her tooth... SORRY. I'll wait a little longer for good quality, and I'm happy to tip for good service... and if I do. If I don't have a dish anymore, I can say that too, and no one will be mad.
When we went for a walk afterwards, I looked at the bill and it was charged for gyros with rice.
Sorry, but when the boss makes a fool of himself when writing it down, serving rice instead of fries and then charging for it with rice, it's a disgrace...
If we hadn't been so hungry, the food would have been returned to the kitchen without a second thought... We also sent back half-full plates... fries were stolen...
Sorry, when the boss's brother is there, no matter how busy it is and no matter how many or how few staff there are, he's always in a good mood and there's no chaos or yelling at the staff....
Conclusion: My stomach hurt all night, I didn't know whether I needed to empty myself upstairs or downstairs, and my partner went to the bathroom several times...
Sorry, but this place is the last of us.
It's just sad. Food costs money, and you expect something for those prices. This restaurant has the freshness and the quality is right...unfortunately not the case
We actually saw insects in the sushi fridge—absolutely disgusting and revolting! Something like that should never happen in a restaurant. Hygiene doesn't seem to play any role here at all. It was an extremely unpleasant and shocking experience for us. We will definitely never come back.
Always good and also accommodates special requests. The two fish dishes are highly recommended. The restaurant used to be cheaper, but the prices are still reasonable (compared to some other Greek restaurants in town). There are a few cheaper Greek restaurants, but sometimes the food tastes like it's been reheated (I've tried almost all of them in town). Reservations are recommended for dinner from 6 p.m. on Fridays to Sundays (it can get crowded).
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A true highlight for lovers of Chinese cuisine! Man Fat impresses with authentic dishes, generous portions, and great flavor. The crispy duck is particularly recommended – golden brown and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, simply cooked to perfection. The ambiance is unpretentious and cozy, and the service is fast, friendly, and warm. A traditional restaurant that has stood for quality for years – highly recommended!
The ambiance and service were good, and the prices were reasonable. I was a bit disappointed with the food. The minced meat steak (plieskavica) was nicely seared on the outside, but rubbery on the inside, and the Djuvec rice was watery and tasteless. Otherwise, the seating was very nice and comfortable. The final espresso was good. But as I said, there's still a lot of room for improvement in the quality of the food.
Was there for lunch: Super friendly welcome, even though the waiter was alone, he served all the tables quickly. Less than 30 minutes passed between ordering, food, and payment, making it perfect for a "quick" lunch break. The food was delicious, with a small soup to start, and at a fair price...I'll be back!
