Every season it is optimally furnished and very clean. Large terase and hinged garden in front of the property. Super nice staff and the food was very tasty. An eye-catcher in the evening with all the lights. Highly recommended 😃

Best pizza ever 🤩🤩🤩 - both the “normal” one, but especially the gluten-free one. It's unbelievable how brilliantly successful and unique the homemade gluten-free dough is. The choice of toppings is not run of the mill, but very diverse and, above all, of a freshness and quality that is second to none. I found the ambience to be perfect, a feel-good place. The great ventilation system is also very pleasant, as it ensures filtered air without any drafts. I was even pleasantly surprised by the prices. I felt like I was in good hands with the Dream Team and would love to come back! Thank you for a wonderful evening 🙏

We had earmarked this place for food as we were visiting the beer bar nearby .. Brewsli. We were definitely ready for food and it was delicious. In fact the pizza and pasta which we shared, were both as good as I can recall.

Wonderful Trattoria Across the River – Well Worth the Short Bus Ride (No. 52) Trattoria Santa Maria offers a charming atmosphere, delicious handmade pizzas, and a tempting selection of pastas, fish, meat dishes, and, of course, desserts. The service is warm, friendly, and professional, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. An English menu is also available. As expected from a good trattoria, the menu is extensive. I started with Vitello Tonnato, a classic dish done beautifully—the veal was perfectly tender and pink, while the tuna and caper sauce was piquant and flavourful. I found myself scraping up every last drop with my bread. For the main, I chose the Pizza Frutti di Mare. While tasty, it was slightly underwhelming, with only a small seafood medley. Personally, I love seafood pizzas piled with big, juicy prawns, mussels, and chunks of baby octopus smothered in garlic—but that might be too much to ask this far from the ocean in Munich! One touch I really appreciated was that since we decided to share the pizza, it was brought to our table already divided onto two plates—a small but thoughtful detail that sets a great restaurant apart. For dessert, we enjoyed a classic Tartufo and a plate of two warm ravioli filled with poppy seeds and smothered in cinnamon — both simply delicious. Trattoria Santa Maria is absolutely worth the short trip if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, tasty, and memorable meal. Our bill for two, including drinks, came to around €75, making it excellent value for the quality of food and service.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and we have been in the discovery phase of gluten-free products ever since. We came across Trattoria Santa Maria, which also offers all pizzas gluten-free. My daughter (4) loves(!) the gluten-free Margherita pizza and we were also more than thrilled. Thank you for offering this option here and we will definitely come by/order here more often.

A nice restaurant with friendly service. Although still irrelevant to me, the baby equipment seems exquisite. The pizza was also very good, but unfortunately it came much later than my companion's pasta. A forgotten drink or two isn't a big deal either. However, at some point we were no longer asked if we wanted anything. That was actually a bit of a shame. Because the atmosphere is pleasant. Even when the restaurant is full, it doesn't get too noisy. You definitely feel comfortable here for a very long time.

Very nice atmosphere. The service was very friendly and accommodating, despite the restaurant being full. We had to wait almost an hour for the main course. The starter consisted of antipasti vegetables and various pickled snacks. The pizza was good, but nothing special, we thought the pinsa was sensationally good. All in all, a good restaurant experience with a few flaws.

We have been coming to Trattoria Santa Maria again and again for about a year. The food has always been delicious and fresh; the portion sizes are appropriate. I would like to highlight the family-friendly atmosphere and the outstanding service (families with children and grandparents can enjoy great evenings here). Very nice restaurant that offers gluten-free pizzas. The dough is homemade and I had no symptoms (celiac disease) after eating it. The waiter was in a good mood and made a lot of jokes. I can recommend it for a sociable evening.

Slightly away from the centre, in a quiet residential area, excellent Italian restaurant where you can also eat excellent pizza. Friendly and helpful staff, as well as the owner. If we would return to Munich, we would certainly be his guests.

It was a really disappointing experience. I ordered an Italian pizza, but it was served cold and was not fresh. I informed the waiter about this, but he didn’t pay attention until I called him for the third time. He then offered to replace my pizza, but I didn’t trust the same meal and decided to order a Margherita pizza instead. Despite the trouble with my original pizza, they still billed me for the more expensive one that I couldn’t even eat.

Ordered a tiramisu + panacotta today. Tiramisu was OK, but the portion was very small. However, Panacotta was a joke. A dollop of cream and a little cherry sauce slapped on top. Then you were charged over 8 euros. A total of 16.80 euros was then charged upon collection, while the invoice only showed 14.60 euros. Not the fine kind.

The atmosphere with the many Christmas trees is definitely nice so that people should come in. Waiting for a table was relatively long. Then you have to wait a long 15 minutes until the food/drinks menu arrives Then wait again for drinks and food. 15 minutes drinks 30 minutes pizza Lagsane has been waited for 40 minutes and is served lukewarm in a cold soup bowl. Pizza calzone surface burnt (see photo) Spice bowls with chili were rancid. Lagsane served cold and mini portions in cold soup bowls. Despite a complaint, the salamander didn't get hot for another 10 minutes!!! Drinks have to wait a long time and reordering takes ages!!! Next table 8 people also waited a long time! Still have to pay the bill in full no insight from the basement and no apology for the long wait. Normally this shouldn't be tolerated. I read the review and you can see it can be better than when we visited.

I didn't like the pasta "Santa Maria". Tea was barely warm. I didn't like the service either.

We had an absolutely lovely evening trying their GF pizza, pizza, and pinsas. We did not have a reservation for dinner, but they fit us in anyhow and our waiter was incredibly kind working across our language limitations. He did not speak English, two of our party only spoke English, and my German is rusty, so we sometimes interspersed with Spanish. The Pinsa and GF pizza were incredible, the atmosphere lively. Highly recommend.

A nice Italian place situated in a place a little far from Sendling Tor (a tram away!) We went exclusively for the Lasagne as we were craving it. The lasagna was soft, delicious and creamy. The cheese was good quality..the ambience of this place is beautiful and the service is decent. I won’t come here again exclusively for the food because it’s far for me and the location does not have any other place nearby. But good to visit once if you like.

Unfortunately far too expensive for the quality. The salads in particular are not recommended. Pizza is delicious. The tables are extremely narrow and you're almost sitting on your neighbor's lap.

Nice restaurant, have been there three/four times. But yesterday was a total disaster. Four people were there, two got their drinks 15 minutes later. The two fish dishes came quickly, but the two pizzas arrived almost ONE HOUR (!!!) later than everyone had finished eating. When asked, the waiter said “he asked the pizza maker earlier what was going on, but forgot to tell us”. There was no apology or drink on the house or anything like that. Absolutely underground for the prices quoted, despite several good experiences before, I will never enter this store again. The problem in my opinion is that the pizzeria is absolutely overrun with delivery orders and for every pizza served in the store, at least on Sundays there are at least 5 delivery pizzas. Total chaos. Pizza was also a little underbaked.

Four of us were at Santa Maria yesterday. 1x fish grill plate, 1x grilled calamari and 2x pizza. fish was very good. Unfortunately, pizza was underbaked, even though it was only served 30 minutes after the fish. we were very disappointed. shouldn't happen at this price level.

We have ordered here several times. Unfortunately the quality has declined. During the Aglio e Olio the last two times there was a strong smell and taste of fish, which suggests that dishes are being prepared in the same pans without cleaning in between - this of course should not be the case! We will no longer be ordering here due to hygiene and are currently hoping not to get food poisoning from today's order.

Unfortunately, the “Italiana” pizza had to wait more than 5 minutes on the stack of plates until the pasta dish was also ready. The pizza was served in advance, but it was already lukewarm and sticky. When I pointed this out, I was offered to put them in the oven again; Unfortunately, this was not an option due to the buffalo mozzarella and rocket topping. A pizza has to be fresh from the oven straight to the table, that's it!

We ordered through Wolt. For the price of just under €40 we got two pizzas - one of them gluten-free, both with a special topping request. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed, even though the pictures here on Google looked promising. Way too little pizza sauce and way too little cheese. Especially with the gluten-free pizza, it simply lacked some kick and flavor. It was dry and that. So it was really mediocre... And we know a lot of pizzerias in Munich.

BAD! I live right around the corner from the restaurant and have often picked up pizza for the family. We also ate there a few times. Since the change of ownership the quality of the food has declined. One event then gave me a reason to never go there again: When the three of us just wanted to have a drink and a snack, we were sent away with the statement: “We also have to earn money”. I don't voluntarily do this outrageous thing to myself. My verdict: It has become a would-be “local” with poor food quality, exorbitant prices and unfriendly staff, who absolutely do not fit in the area next to the retirement home. I'd rather eat somewhere else in the future. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in Munich... a shame for the seniors who were still welcome in the old “il Falco”. Ps: The manager's answer below can't be right at all because I didn't mention the date or time of our visit. This underlines the inability to criticize and the real interest in the opinion... and in making something positive out of it

The restaurant offers a “pizza vegana” with “vegan mozzarella,” but the dish is labeled with the allergen “lactose.” When we asked, it turned out that the waiter who served us didn't know the difference between "lactose-free" and "vegan", the dish wasn't vegan, and he was very annoyed by our criticism that he needed to know such food details. After we ordered a pizza without cheese, he brought us a completely different pizza topped with ham with the words “Pizza Contadina, vegan without cheese.” Conclusion: Service catastrophic, food very tasty.

We were here for the first time yesterday. VERY disappointed. Rocket on our pizza was rotten, I asked the waiter if he could put fresh rocket on our pizza. He discussed it for a long time but didn't bring us any fresh rocket. There were pieces of glass in my homemade lemonade but he still didn't exchange it and expected me to drink it all. In the end he collected money for lemonade. :( never again

I've been going here regularly for lunch for years. Very friendly and fast service as well as a good lunch menu with a strong price-performance ratio. I can only recommend it for lunch.

We had the Pinsa Parma twice and once a salad and a soup. The food was really very good and the value for money was also completely ok. However, the restaurant was quite full and so we had to wait for five minutes with a reservation before we were shown to the table. All in all, the service took a little longer that evening, but that wasn't a problem for us as we had time and the waiter apologized several times for the long waiting times. So we will definitely come back because we really liked both the food and the ambience inside and outside.

Very good Italian food, especially the pizza, with a lot of variety. The service is right, they are kind and friendly, and they are quick enough to bring the dishes. The environment is very intimate, and it feels good to eat in a place like this. One thing that gives it extra points is the excellent quality-price ratio, with prices that are not at all exaggerated for being in Munich. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to eat Italian in Monaco, and I say this as an Italian. Excellent experience.

Because of the train cancellation, I had to spend the night nearby. We then came for dinner. Since I work as a cook, I can understand the waiting time with such a large number of visitors. For a surcharge of €5.50 a scampi on the pizza, plus leftover ham and pepperoni that shouldn't be there - the pizza wasn't ordered with ham - ugh, never again!

The service was extremely overwhelmed. We waited over 20 minutes until we could order our drinks and food. First we waited another 20 minutes to drink and then we waited 1 hour for the food. We had pasta twice and a pizza. The noodles were brought and tasted good. However, the pizza wasn't brought until we had already finished the pasta in 20 minutes👎🏻. When we wanted to pay, the boss signaled to us that we should be patient. I think this sign from the boss was inappropriate and disrespectful. Overall, I wasn't able to relax and enjoy the time during my stay because it was very hectic.

The food tasted very good. However, the service was very bad. For the first time we waited 15 minutes until someone brought us the menu. I gave this restaurant two chances. When I first went it was good. I rate the food itself highly, but when it comes to the staff, my opinion is the opposite. The waiters are friendly, nice, place you when you enter, give the menus and… forget about the guest. Once I was able to get the food I ordered, but I had to go in and pay in 30 minutes, even though I asked two waiters for receipts. Next time I wanted to order something too, was seated, but… 10 minutes passed and no one from the staff came to me. I called several times and they didn't seem to have seen me. I understand, there are a lot of guests and probably the fault is not the service but the organizers/managers. Hire waiters for the days when there are quite a few people. But what was very embarrassing is that they saw me and even talked to me :( and no one came to me. I wish you never have the same experience.

My favorite Italian! So far everything I've ordered there has been delicious. The service is excellent and the ambience is really nice. If you want to treat yourself to a nice evening, this is absolutely the right place for you. And you can finally get an authentic carbonara with guanciale here! It could have a little less fat, but the taste is amazing.

A good restaurant. The food is good. All clean. When there are a lot of guests, service can take a while, but you can notice the goodwill of the staff. The 'Affogato' tastes like heaven.
