Ideal restaurant. Good views at the entrance to the old town of Munich. Not bad price. We ordered a York ham and cheese pizza, with an egg in the middle. It was very good, the flavor was very reminiscent of a good Italian pizza. Accustomed to less artisanal pizzas, the dough is thin, but there is good quality in the ingredients. At first they were a bit rude, they were packed and we didn't understand each other in English, but then they were friendly. We found it strange that those at the next table put some sauces with the pizza and we didn't have the same one, I doubt if they asked for it since almost all the tables had it

terrible. in every sense. the pasta was overcooked and there was no parmesan cheese. the meat was terrible, it was served cold, only the potatoes were good. at a certain point during dinner they even took away our water, even though we had a FULL bottle. and they even kicked us out. if you are Italian, don't come to this place, terrible.

For me the almost perfect Italian in Munich. I have been visiting the restaurant for years and it has always tasted great. Pizza and pasta are particularly recommended there, as are the tasty cocktails 😁 First of all there is good bread with garlic/chilli oil, I would recommend the small side salad - very tasty! The atmosphere is rustic and modern, large and always busy, which is why it tends to be louder than the small Italian restaurant with tablecloths and flowers on the table. In summer you can also sit outside, but that's a matter of taste as to whether you think it's nice between Sonnenstrasse, bike path and pedestrian path😄It doesn't bother me😉 The service is friendly and on point, I personally never had to wait long. For me it would be the perfect Italian if a Cesar salad was actually a Cesar salad🙈 Unfortunately your dish has nothing to do with it, which is a shame!! Only restaurants 10% tip is mandatory in Germany. The service was poor, and I was not allowed to place my bag on an empty seat, only on the floor. I don’t think a 10% tip is justified.

The waiters were impatient with Asian people. And the meals are between average level only. Don’t expect too much. It is mandatory to collect 10% tip whatever the service how bad is. Just like a fast food restaurant taste. Sucks!

Rude staff who present themselves badly and are also obnoxious do not use the trays to carry glasses and cups but who put their fingers inside them thus touching the food inside them. The food is quite poor with inadequate and sad portions. The dark and creepy place features signs of well-known alcoholic beverages popular in Italy which attempt to lighten the atmosphere and spread joy and light-heartedness but with terrible results. Personally I am not aware of the prices of the place but I think that for what I ate you don't pay more than 10 euros for a dish.

Came with the school, pasta sucks, overcooked and cooked in the microwave, terrible experience. I understand the high number of people but the food is terrible (as is its quality). If the food is the same as they serve, don't go there. We waited a long time once and another time we were chased away as soon as we finished the meal.

I had the pleasure of interacting with this restaurant (if it deserves to be called that) during a school trip, we came two evenings in a row and both times we waited more than 30/40 minutes, once inside you immediately notice the decibel level inside the place comparable to the tumult of ciompi, the pasta is overcooked and the sauce so insignificant that if I had poor Boccelli's visual faculties I would certainly have mistaken it for a pasta dish in broth, for a second course a cutlet whose level of grease was vaguely reminiscent of P Diddy's parties, the staff, who in the few 5-star reviews I saw were defined as Italian, instead turn out to have North African accents and respond abruptly, showing the empathy of a hydrocarbon compound. There is little to say and a lot to do to improve, I would recommend removing the Italian sign first.

me and my class went to this restaurant twice during the school trip. they made us leave after less than an hour after we had just ordered some beers because they had too many people to feed. its outrageously sad how they treated us. the meat was often cold too, bad quality.

Wonderful restaurant. We came here for a friend's birthday and the treatment was fantastic. They even surprised her with a birthday cake which was so unexpected. I adore the waiter and staff for their kindness and will come back. The place is customer friendly and the food is delicious with a decent price. The atmosphere is extremely elegant and great to celebrate her birthday in style. All 10/10, we came at a late hour when the restaurant was almost at capacity on the weekend. We were greeted politely at the door and shown to our seats. Love. I personally ordered: turkey schnitzel, a delicious dessert and a few cocktails. What I also find commendable is that I had a few special requests regarding the food and they were fulfilled, even exceeded.

Terrible development! I was a loyal regular customer for years and recommended the CL to many people (as a city guide, TO A LOT!) After a year of not being in Muc, I finally went again at the end of November 2024. But what happened? * Salad: €3 more - extremely fewer ingredients * Pizza: €4 more, 30% smaller * The water, which used to always have a very special taste and was from a good company (we specifically asked for the bottle so we could buy it), was now just normal water * the Greek salt came WITHOUT: delicious bread, egg and pepperoni, LOTS OF VENIGER: tomato, cucumber and HARDLY ANY carrot and dressing (had to get oil/vinegar from the next table) * the plate of the salad was super unappetizing: it had a gray-green pattern. I was shocked at first because I thought it was mold. who designs something like that? I went over with the napkin and tried to wipe it off, but then I saw that it was burnt paint * the pizza came unprompted on 2 plates and the halves were tiny. The pizza used to be bigger than the plate. When I said, "Oh, already shared!", the waiter said, "Yes, because the table is so small!" Uh... 2 plates for the pizza plus 1 plate for the salad => 3 plates. Doesn't it make more sense to serve the pizza on ONE plate? Oh no...then the guest notices that it is now 30% smaller. * The pizzas on the next tables were a little larger, but not like they used to be. Maybe we just got ripped off because we were there with Schlemmerblock?! We used to come with it too and everything was always the normal size/number. The CL now has small portions, high prices and normal taste - so it's nothing special anymore. The size used to be AWESOME compared to the price and location! Now you can get something bigger and cheaper somewhere else!

This is the second time I've been to the City Lounge and I'm still impressed, great atmosphere, nice service, delicious pizzas and appetizers. A big compliment to the entire team!

Waited for 30-40 minutes for service before I left

We were here today with the Schlemmerblock and ordered a pizza and pasta. The pizza was very large and tasted great too. The pasta was okay, but unfortunately there was very little parmesan on it and you didn't get any extra cheese. The local itself was very crowded and also very loud. On the one hand through the guests and on the other hand through the music. That was rather annoying because it wasn't in the direction of the bar (where the music is a bit more in the foreground), but was just annoying. There were also 3 women sitting in front of the toilets who wanted money, which made the situation a bit uncomfortable. Price-performance was generally okay

Walking distance to metro and tourist areas. Mushroom pizza was very delicious. They have caring and friendly service staff, it can be very busy on Friday evenings.

Our first visit to a restaurant in Munich. Well worth it. We booked online just in case it was busy. It was a Sunday evening, so as you can imagine, it wasn't busy. We ordered drinks and food which came to the table soon after. The food that was served, pizza, pasta and pork schnitzel tasted great and massive portions. One small niggle was the fries were too salty but apart from that fantastic and at a little over €100 for four people a good price. The server was polite, prompt and well presented. Customer toilets are to the rear downstairs, these were clean and tidy.

We went here today for dinner before our visit to the German Theater. The food was excellent. We had a mixed salad, Orecchiette di Manzo al Limone, Tagliatelle al Salmone and Pizza Diavola. All highly recommended. The employees were all very friendly and the service was attentive. We'll definitely be back.

We complained about this and the waiter wanted me to be a learned *chef/pizza maker In Italy* explain that the pizza is so normal/original 🫣, We also ordered a ravioli with truffle sauce that was garnished with croutons and sprouts?!?!? We were there at the beginning of September 2024. The pizza was huge and fresh, crispy crust, thin and lots of cheese. There was extra chilli oil and garlic oil in the glass, the drinks were ice cold, the young waitress was very nice and warm. After first wandering around in the crowded old town, where everything was full and small pizzas cost over €20, we found what we were looking for thanks to the Google top reviews. Giant 4-cheese pizza with rocket €14.99. The neighbor's pasta plate looked great too! Thanks to the City Lounge team!

I had a non-alcoholic cocktail and a salad. If I could rate the cocktail separately, it would get 4 stars. He was actually quite good. Otherwise... where do I start... As soon as we sat down, we heard an argument between two guests and the waiter. The two ladies had (from what we heard) waited a long time and then got the cards themselves, which the cellar was probably very annoyed about and then argued with them. We found that very uncomfortable. We then immediately received our tickets, but they are in a strange condition. Pages are torn out and are lying loose. There are numbers next to the dishes (usually allergen information), but you can usually find a list somewhere of what the numbers mean. Instead, on one of the last pages there is a list of allergens with letters. Now, which number represents which letter? I looked through the map several times and couldn't find an explanation/listing for the numbers anywhere. Some dishes had both numbers and letters. I then asked the waiter about the dressing on a salad, because there were numbers behind it too. The waiter couldn't (or didn't want to) help me and was very annoyed that I asked. I then ordered salad without dressing. There was a lot of canned corn on the salad. And the liquid from the canned corn was everywhere in the salad and was very dominant in taste. Unfortunately I didn't like the salad. The shop is also much too dark inside. But you can also sit outside (if there is space). So in conclusion: The mood is too aggressive. The service is unfriendly and unhelpful. The map is opaque.

Ate here last night. Good food for a reasonable price, especially in Munich. It is an Italian restaurant but looks more like a sports bar. Which turned out well because we could now follow the Olympic games. You will receive a bread basket with delicious garlic oil in advance. We had the schnitzel bolognese. Best place for spaghetti lovers! I am a regular customer at this restaurant and every time I order their spaghetti I am amazed. The pasta is always cooked al dente, the sauce is aromatic and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly and attentive. An absolute must for all pasta fans!

The restaurant is clean and welcoming overall, the waitress is smiling and asks us if everything is going well during lunch (that's really great of her 👍). We chose the Regina pizza and the Diavola pizza, they are large, which allowed us to take the rest of the pizzas for our evening meal. Good value for money. Only downside: the price of the 75 cl bottle of water at €7.90 🫤

I was there today and the food tasted very good

Food is cold, soggy and inedible. The staff makes you wait a long time, is very unfriendly and then boldly asks for more tips.

After our complaint, the pizza was taken back and the starter was brought after a long wait. When the main courses were brought, the pizza I had previously given back was warmed up and brought back to me. After another complaint, I had to be made a new pizza. So my wife had to eat her pasta alone. After 20 minutes my pizza finally arrived. The quality was very good. Although there were many in service, they were all overwhelmed. This was also noticeable when we wanted to pay. We had to wait a long time for that and in the end my wife had to go into the restaurant to pay, otherwise we would have had to wait another hour. Unfortunately there was nothing to compensate for such disastrous service. And the prices are exorbitantly high!!! That's why we won't come here anymore.

The restaurant is very good but today we were there and there was a new waiter who was tall, dark skinned and with a beard and he didn't want to serve us, we waited for 15 minutes and in the end the room was empty so we left without ordering , shame about the waiter.

Atmosphere, Service and Food were excellent. You must try their home made ice teas which were delicious! Such a lovely place to sit down and eat and their specials are definitely great deals as well
