Very, very delicious food, and the service is also very polite. Awesome

I was there for lunch today. The food was disappointing. The pizza was dry and the dough lacked flavor. The seafood on my pasta was frozen, and everything was poorly presented. Both dishes cost just under €17 each. You'd expect something better. The service also seemed unmotivated. All in all, mediocre, hence the 3 stars.

Today was our third or fourth visit to this restaurant in the last few months, and I have to say it was another delight. For starters, we had salmon and mango tartare with shrimp, followed by gnocchetti with chanterelle mushrooms and strozzapreti made from a cheese wheel with truffle. We highly recommend it.

You can sit both inside and outside, and the food is also excellent.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a bit, but that was only because Robbie Williams was playing a concert nearby that evening, and some concertgoers were (unexpectedly) having dinner here. The other times we've visited the restaurant, we didn't have to wait a minute. The food is, as always, absolutely 10/10, both pizza and pasta, and our waiter gave us a truly wonderful evening. My absolute favorite Italian restaurant here in Munich, and you have to try it!

Italian restaurant with delicious food and a nice, cozy atmosphere.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything good about this restaurant, even though I didn't even get a chance to eat. Due to a big concert at the Olympic Stadium, I had reserved a table three days in advance. Unfortunately, all they said was, "We'll manage, just drop by." Unfortunately, there was a long line outside the restaurant today, and the couple in front of me even told us they had made a reservation but still weren't allowed in! Service 0/10

Staff and boss really nice, top pizza

We don’t usually go to a restaurant “just” for the service, but the waiter that took our order was a complete entertainer. He made us laugh whenever he came to our table. At the end, we were in splits with his antics and jokes. I even overheard a group of ladies at a table beside us saying she brought her friends over to this place just because of this great waiter. I don’t know his name but if you’ve visited the place you know who I am talking about. Pizza was also good. The waiter also suggested us what to order based on our choice of cheese, all in all wonderful experience.

Six of us recently went there for dinner with a reservation and were seated in the restaurant. The weather was rainy and humid. We ordered two appetizers and various pizzas and pasta dishes. The drinks came quickly, but the food took a while, although the menu warns you about this. The food itself was impeccable and reasonably priced by Munich standards, and the interior is attractively decorated. Overall, the restaurant would benefit from a fan in these temperatures, but anyone looking for excellent, more than reasonably priced food and a bit of time to spare will definitely get their money's worth.

Great pizza in a lovely beer garden.

I ordered for pickup. It arrived right on time. I wasn't noticed for a few minutes, and the pizza wasn't prepared until after that. I came out of the store 30 minutes late. And not even an apology. They acted like it was normal and ignored me again.

Everything was good! Good food! Good service! Good atmosphere, although due to the main road, it can be a bit noisy at times!

The best pasta in Munich!!! Especially the Fregola Sarda, by far the best pasta in the Isar metropolis. The pear Gorgonzola Mascarpone pizza is also hard to beat in terms of taste. The price-performance ratio is more than top-notch; the homemade Strozzaprete pasta with a generous helping of truffle, tossed in a Parmesan crust, tastes umami-divine and, for under €20 in Munich, is hard to beat, as the portion is also quite generous. I've seen a few pasta dishes with truffles in Munich, where the truffles were on holiday and the FDH was probably the order of the day. People, go to da Massimo, it's really very good, you can't go wrong there!

Osteria da Massimo is one of my favorite restaurants in Munich. The pizzas are really good, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is cozy, special requests are never a problem, and the staff is super friendly, attentive, and fast.

We go there every now and then because it is within walking distance for us. In the past the place was quite good, nothing special but not bad either. Yesterday, however, the service and process simply wasn't good. The food was worse than usual, mediocre at best (4 pizzas and once pasta with truffles), it was practically impossible for the waiter to recommend a wine because he didn't know his way around, but an absolute no-go was that the pasta came first, the first pizza 10 minutes later and then each pizza individually, 5 minutes apart. Ie. There was around 30 minutes between the first and last person who got their food... it can't be that the kitchen is so late in giving out food for 5 people. When I asked the boss about it, he just shrugged his arms...great reaction, bravo. It's a shame, the store used to be better...

Everything was wonderful. We ate there yesterday before a concert. The pizza was delicious and when we mentioned that we were in a bit of a hurry because of the concert, they rushed with the food and payment. We will be happy to come back when we are in Munich.

Wow!!! We were very impressed by the excellent starters, finely balanced in taste and really something special! The main courses were also very, very good, and the pizzas were also absolutely delicious. And all of this at a great price-performance ratio! We'll definitely be back!!!

I had one of THE BEST meals of my life here. We ordered Prosciutto pizza with burrata cheese on top. It was absolutely to die for. We also ordered freshly made pasta with truffles and fresh parmesan cheese. The waiters were all super helpful. Great prices too. We also ate at a michelin star restaurant in Munich and paid much more. I thought the food at Osteria da Massimo was SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Favorite Italian! Simply perfect! However, you should make a reservation for the evening during peak times... Be sure to try the Pizza da Massimo. Simply fantastic with goat cheese on the edge!

Yesterday we went to Massimo's spontaneously and without a reservation, Pizza Alina with burrata and Parma ham and mussels was simply delicious...we'll be back.

We had a reservation and they couldn't serve us. Too chaotic, no space, impolite owner. The reply by the owner (02/17/2025) already shows that they are not customer obsessed. Instead of asking and apologizing, they didn't think they were rude. Not really perceptive.

Even though the service took a little longer that evening because the place was completely overcrowded, the restaurant clearly delivered top performance in all 3 categories. Gladly again

Characteristic location, we went yesterday before the basketball game, the restaurant was full, despite everything the waiting times were very limited. The pizza is very good and the pasta (homemade) sensational! Very happy, we will return soon.

Today there were only 7 tables occupied. It took 12 minutes for someone to come to take the order. We ordered 2 cafes, 2 desserts and a water. The cafe took 15 minutes, one of them was cold, after asking the water came after 5 minutes. After another 10 minutes we paid without getting the dessert. But we were supposed to pay for the dessert, which we refused. SO service not acceptable. We'll never go here again.

We were in the Osteria for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and courteous staff.. We didn't have a reservation and managed to get a place for two 😀. The service was great. We were asked whether we were very hungry or a little hungry. So our waiter put together a starter plate with pizza bread and a mixed fish plate for us. Just for our appetite. Class 👍. We were full and it tasted good and we didn't have to leave anything left. That's how we like it. Price performance okay for Munich conditions. Whenever we're in the area again, we'll eat here.

Strozziapreti con Tartufo, Very good pasta, unfortunately a bit cold. The Parmesan could have been more The truffle was sufficient. The entire portion should be a little more, especially much hotter with more sauce and therefore more parmesan. The service, friendly, a bit cold at first and unfortunately it quickly left at the first sign of criticism. Nice restaurant, attractive, toilets perfect, but the dining room a bit too cool But overall a clear 4 star rating and therefore recommended.

This place is so worth the visit for atmosphere, service and the food. We ordered 2 pizzas, thin but large and delicious. The beer was great and it’s very Cute and warm inside. I think the server was the owner and he was great and personable. 5 stars for sure!

The second time this happened to me, I ordered two pizzas over the phone. When I arrived to get the pizzas I was ignored and I heard the waitress arguing in Italian and no one had any idea about my order. Instead of telling me something, they attend to other customers and ignore me when I try to talk to them. After being ignored for 15 minutes, I left the restaurant without the staff even speaking to me or apologizing.

Very busy restaurant in a good location. Pizzas very tasty and very reasonably priced. Side salads fresh and good. It was very loud, cramped and warm at our table. The service was overwhelmed and we had to wait a long time to order or pay for more drinks. Nobody reacted to clear signs either. Staff still friendly.

We had a reservation and were asked to leave the restaurant after 1 hour. Apparently, quick processing is more important than keeping paying customers in the restaurant. PS: Shortly beforehand we had already ordered pizzas for our event for €300 and wanted to end the evening in the restaurant. That's why we weren't hungry anymore.

I pre-ordered a pizza - everything was OK! Price was great, communication was great and I felt comfortable with the hospitality.

In mid-November we celebrated a big birthday at Massimo with almost 60 guests. Food, drinks, service, ambience, everything was perfect. No wishes remain unfulfilled. Also highly recommended for large groups and celebrations.

After 30 minutes we still didn't get any drinks even though there were three of them in service and the waiter was so unfriendly last time and we've had enough today. We spend our money where it is valued.

I've been there several times because I like the pizza incredibly well. Plus, Monday is pizza day and costs just €9.50. So great! But now I know that I have to bring a lot of time. The order is taken quickly but it takes a noticeably long time until the food is served or you can pay. I am also rarely asked if I would like to drink something else when my drink is already empty. Very unfortunate. The lack of staff is particularly noticeable in service. The waiters are always friendly, but you can tell how stressed they are and they only work on the bare minimum. I would like there to be more staff so that the service doesn't continue to suffer. Take time for your guests, be more attentive and try to process orders faster. Should it take longer, a simple explanation of why it is taking longer and an apology would often be the method of choice in order not to upset guests like me. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars. I'd still like to come back, especially on Mondays for pizza :) Info for families with children: Unfortunately there is no changing facility for children.

Sunday evening, the place was full. Food good. I know the pasta from the Parmesan loaf differently. Tagliatelle are better, they absorb the parmesan better.

Great service, it went very quickly. The food was extremely tasty, the gnocchis are a real dream and the pizzas are also perfect all around. The dessert was on point, you would have wanted to have it a second time, it was that delicious.

We had a really nice evening in the Osteria. The pizza was absolutely amazing, and the pasta also tasted great. Unfortunately it took a while before we could even order, but the desserts were so delicious that we quickly forgot about it. Great service and value for money is definitely right! During our Munich weekend, we ended up in this restaurant. We were absolutely thrilled - the waiter was very nice and child-friendly, the food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was also good. If we had more time, we would definitely have come again.

We were in this restaurant with a group of 25 students, and unfortunately our visit ended up being anything but pleasant. Two of our students found a hair in the pizzas. When we politely pointed this out to the chef, this was discussed and denied. The 2 students only received another pizza as “compensation”. Our group behaved calmly and respectfully throughout the visit. The students who had leftover food were simply left with a roll of aluminum foil on the table so they could wrap their food. This seemed strange to us as there are usually boxes available for packing food. It would be a shame if the staff differentiated between adults and children (even though these children had to pay the same price for the food as the adults). After we teachers stayed behind to order something, an employee came up to us in anger. He threw his phone on the table and loudly complained about a review a student had given. He behaved extremely aggressively and threateningly, shouted at us and came uncomfortably close to us. That was completely inappropriate! He talked to us two teachers as if we were children. As guests, we expect complaints to be handled professionally and respectfully - instead we were treated like little children. We cannot influence how students give a subjective assessment, and in a democracy this should not surprise anyone. However, the employee's behavior was completely inappropriate. Unfortunately, this experience spoiled our entire stay and we definitely will not recommend this restaurant.

The waiting time was good, we didn't wait long for the food. Unfortunately, we found some food in the food. When we spoke to the staff, they reacted annoyed and were rude. A new pizza was delivered to me, but it was not packed at the request of my companion but was delivered to the table. After that, they became rude.

We were served very friendly. The truffle pasta was to die for. Only when we cleared up after the meal and when the glasses were empty were we no longer asked if we would like anything else. Ambience is ok, rather large and less cozy.
