The food is very good. The price/performance ratio is good. Both inside and outside seating is wonderful, with views of either the mountains or the Hopfensee. The staff is first-class, starting with the lady, a cheerful, very friendly waiter. Guido (owner) is a relaxed and easygoing person. We ate there several times last year and will continue to go there again and again.

We came here with our dog for an ice cream sundae and again for dinner. We received a very friendly welcome, as did our dog. The space is comfortable and not crowded. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is highly recommended and was delicious. The view of the lake and the mountains enhances the experience. We would definitely go back here again. It's definitely worth the 300m walk or drive uphill from the promenade.

I had dinner today, and it was very fine cuisine at very reasonable prices! The food was perfect, the chef is definitely a Michelin-starred chef, and I highly recommend it.

The website made a very good impression, which is why I chose this restaurant. However, when I arrived, I was disappointed: The restaurant seemed run-down and dated, which, in my opinion, didn't match the pictures and presentation on the website – it was quite misleading. The ambiance was uncomfortable and not particularly inviting, and the staff were difficult to recognize. The food was okay, and the server was really friendly and polite, but overall, the overall impression was unfortunately not at all convincing.

Absolutely spectacular: Not only did we receive a very warm welcome, but we also enjoyed an excellent meal. A large salad with goat cheese and honey, baked spinach dumplings, spaetzle, and cordon bleu were the perfect way to end the day on the terrace of Haus Hopfensee. We were able to park for free, and the service did its very best to ensure a relaxing evening (with great food) – and they succeeded!

The house itself could use a bit more maintenance in some areas. While the terrace offers a beautiful view of the lake, it also overlooks an unkempt garden and an aging plastic canopy that is in dire need of replacement. The cobblestones of the terrace and the garden as a whole would also benefit from a bit more attention. All of these external flaws, however, are more than compensated for by the very friendly and attentive staff. The food was also absolutely convincing and worth the price: I had the onion roast, my wife the pan-fried dish – both perfectly prepared. The cheese spaetzle was also delicious.

The outdoor terrace, with its magnificent view of Lake Hopfen, is particularly noteworthy, as is the delicious food. The daily specials are very extensive and offer excellent value for money. The service is equally attentive and friendly.

It's a bit dated, but unfortunately a bit off the beaten track, so it seems like not many people find their way here. BUT: Super friendly staff, lovely terrace, and the apple strudel was amazing. The other dishes also looked excellent. The menu was quite concise, but still offered something for every taste, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. We were here for the Sunday tea dance – highly recommended for anyone who loves to dance. We wish the whole team all the best!

The food is okay. When it came to the bill, they charged the more expensive price from the regular menu for two meals instead of the cheaper price from the daily special. That was very annoying.

We were with you for the lecture. The young lady who held him was truly outstanding – very knowledgeable and professional. Thanks to her, we left with much more knowledge and a clearer understanding. That's why all the stars go to her! However, the missing stars refer to the unreasonable conditions in the hall. It was like being in a cold storage facility - we had to sit there with a jacket, scarf, hat and gloves and yet we were cold all the time. The heaters were completely turned off and it was so cold that you could even see the fog of breath from those present. Under these circumstances, I will not attend another lecture in winter or cool weather, no matter how important the topic is to me. Health comes first, and sitting in a freezing room for hours without moving is simply unacceptable. Sorry, but that was more of an imposition than a pleasant event visit.

The panorama, the view of the lake are the best. The food, also considering the price, is not recommended. The salad was almost inedible for me as everything was drowned in a vinegar/oil sauce. The goulash stroganoff, served in a pasta plate, was more of a goulash soup and the taste still has a lot of room for improvement. It's also not everyone's cup of tea to be called by the waiter - it's simply inappropriate in this restaurant.

A beautiful, cozy restaurant with a fantastic view of the lake. At sunset your heart opens because the view is unique... the menu is hearty, home-made cuisine and there is something for everyone. But above all the fresh cake, which is always made fresh on Saturdays and Sundays. Not forgetting tea dances on Sunday afternoons. Many thanks to the team for this great culinary experience.

The service was very friendly and accommodating, nice idea with the dance music. Unfortunately the food was very bad, all ready meals, the cake offered was probably a few days old - it tasted spoiled. What a shame!

We watched the wonderful sunset from the restaurant terrace. Later, when we wanted to continue driving, there was a problem with the car. When we asked for help in the house, we were helped in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. Thank you for that.

All in all very good, you have to say that the entire crew really puts in a lot of effort, very nice, courteous, polite. Kitchen: There were six of us there and we tried a lot of things on the menu, everything tasted very good. We were there on a Friday evening and the local evening was taking place in the Citizens' Hall. It was so beautiful, big and small performed songs and dances and reserved, but we would have been able to get a place like that. The restaurant is already large and the even larger community hall was full. The panoramic windows, here guests can enjoy the beautiful view when the weather is good. TERRACE IN summer must be very nice. There are enough parking spaces available. TOILETS are 2 floors below and can only be reached via stairs. I can't say whether there is another toilet on the ground floor, maybe ask first. I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT THERE'S NOTHING THERE THAT WOULD BE DISCRIMINATION. THE stay was worth it, it was a nice evening for us.

We were quite disappointed. With a house like this, you would expect the website to always be up to date. After visiting the website we set off...and were disappointed...that the map on the website was more than out of date.

The food was very tasty. The service was overwhelmed and could make you feel sorry for yourself. What really bothered me was the pervasive smell of cooking in the restaurant. The view of the Hopfensee is magnificent.

The view is wonderful when the weather is good. The traditional dishes are probably also okay, for example the cheese spaetzle was quite good. But salad is not recommended here, everything was prepared and dressed long beforehand, making it soggy and not good. Service was friendly, prices were a bit too high for the quality

So unfortunately I can't give this many stars...The waitress was very friendly and accommodating, the place was well maintained and clean. Because of the good reviews we went out to eat here, the soup as a starter wasn't warmed up well (warm in the middle, lukewarm on the outside). The main course: suckling pig knuckle with dumplings and red cabbage didn't taste together at all, unfortunately only 3 stars. It's a shame.

Top location with the best view of Lake Hopfensee. The food was very good as always, but last year the portions were a bit larger. Sunday afternoon tea dance with good music. The waitresses were very friendly but overwhelmed when it came to cashing out on the theater evening. Why can't you pay during the break? After the end of the piece, with only 2 people on staff, we had to wait forever to be able to pay.

We were at the Haus Hopfensee restaurant two days in a row! We would give 100 stars if we could. The food was excellent and served quickly. The service from the waiters and waitresses was like before, in a good mood despite the full dining room And friendly! The owner is always up for a joke - thanks to Guido for that. On the way home from vacation, we looked around Füssen for a place to have lunch and happened to come across Haus Hopfensee because of its good reviews. We were greeted very nicely and courteously by the service staff and given a place with a wonderful view of the lake. Our preferences for regional dishes were not disappointed, the dishes were excellent. Since we were traveling with our boxer dog Amelia and she immediately got along well with the host's dog, we had a wonderful conversation with Guido Lindner. So, by choosing the restaurant at random, we had a very warm, almost friendly stay that we will remember very much. When we said goodbye, it was clear that we would definitely stop by again at the next opportunity. Kind regards from the Rhineland.

We were guests here several times during our vacation trips. The food was always great and even the hungriest mouths would be satisfied. If “waiting” were an Olympic discipline, the waiter here would definitely have won several gold medals.

We were here for a very big school celebration. The food from the buffet was plentiful and tasty. It was very warm that evening. The interiors have no air conditioning or ventilation. But you could make yourself comfortable on the terrace. Drinks were continually provided at the tables. The ambience in the outdoor area is hard to beat thanks to the Hopfensee and the mountain panorama. The indoor hall is older but still attractive. Ideal for events such as weddings.

Had the cream of asparagus soup and roast beef with fried onions, gravy and cheese pasta. Food was really good and great to have a try of some local dishes. Was gutted the cheese soup wasn’t available that day though as so many reviews mention it and I love cheese! The way they do the soup is great, the cream on top is brilliant. Absolute tip: Family-run restaurant with very courteous service staff. The food is excellent!!! One of the best schnitzels with fries, that will be remembered. Potato salad...industrial product...although on the daily menu!!] Side salad 6.20...not worth the money in the least...the tomatoes watery, soft...cucumber salad, coleslaw and 1 leaf of lettuce. Cordon bleu was ok. Pollock fish was also possible. Then another schnapps... ice cold... doesn't work at all.

Not so quaint, but a very good restaurant with a great view and a good menu. Try the fries here - we've never eaten better!!!!!

What a wonderful evening! The roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage was excellent - tender as butter and the sauce was also a dream. The same applies to the Allgäu fillet pan and the yeast dumpling, really tasty. In terms of price, it's really okay. Also worth highlighting is the very friendly service, who, despite being alone, served us in a good mood and very courteously throughout the evening. Great class! And all of this with a wonderful view of the mountains and Lake Hopfensee. Definitely recommended!

There are rarely hosts and service like this anymore. We were lucky with the weather (beginning of March) and were able to sit on the terrace with a view of the castle and Hopfensee, beautiful. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating - we have rarely enjoyed such excellent service. The food was also excellent! From the classic schnitzel with fries to fish, fillet pans with cheese patties. The boss himself came to the table, asked if everything was okay and had a chat with us. Rarely have I had such a great visit to a restaurant! Thanks to the team for this brilliant afternoon!
