We ate a late lunch. Food was amazing. We also had their dessert specialty. Service was excellent.

So , I am coming about a month after eating here, to write a review at this wonderful restaurant that we accidentally found in Füssen. My husband keeps on telling from time to time that was the best food he ever tried in Germany. So, I guess it must have been good !

The restaurant was recommended to us by friends. It looks rather unassuming from the outside, but when you step inside, wow, just wow! A fantastic atmosphere and the food is legendary. Excellent quality. It was a truly delicious experience; we will definitely return on our next visit.

Solid, tasty food. I had the cheese spaetzle. However, I wouldn't recommend it for a solo diners. You're seated at the little table by the entrance. The chef comes to everyone else's table, but he didn't bother to come upstairs for me. I'll be in Füssen for a week, but I won't be visiting this restaurant again. In the end, the bill was forgotten, even though I had asked for it. Only after I demonstratively put on my jacket did the waiter pay me attention.

The two of us stopped in for dinner today. We sat outside. The friendly waiter took our order. My wife ordered Kaiserschmarrn. The wait was about 30 minutes, which the waiter pointed out. After 30 minutes, the food was served to our table along with my pork neck steak. The food was very good. What we didn't like: I asked for the bill and said I wanted to pay by card, which is normal these days. The waiter went into the restaurant and came back with the words: Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted, only for amounts over €50!!!!!! I asked if he was joking, but unfortunately, he was deadly serious. Our bill was €46. It's absurd that card payments are only accepted for amounts over €50. I understand there are fees, but please, not only for amounts over €50. I was only €4 short, and yet my card was still not accepted. We won't be going to this restaurant again as a matter of principle. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that will happily accept my card for payment.

We were here for lunch and sat inside because there was no room outside. The service was very friendly and professional. They took our order quickly and brought our drinks soon after. The food also arrived very quickly and was really very good. The ambiance inside is also very nice. Everything is lovingly decorated in a nostalgic style. It was delicious, and we would gladly come back.

Booked as part of a birthday celebration. We both loved this restaurant. Great atmosphere with brilliant service. They really pushed the boat out for my girlfriends celebration. Her face was a picture 🥰 I'm sure that all the food and drink was of German origin. Apparently the Riesling was of top quality. I was driving so I can't comment. We would happily return if the opportunity presented itself.

We were thrilled! A truly special experience there, super friendly service and incredibly good food! Even the ice cream for dessert was homemade and exceptionally good. Prices are quite high, yes. But totally justified for the quality! It's not an everyday restaurant where you can just grab a quick bite to eat, but if you want to treat yourself, this is the place to be! The decor is great, with lots of visual stimuli (positive), which is balanced by the tranquility there. Everyone was talking relatively quietly, and the music was soft...a blessing for sensitive people. We'll be back!♥️

The waiter was kind and attentive. The food was good (a little salty, but that's normal for Germany). The atmosphere was welcoming, but nothing special. We had lunch around 3:00 PM. We didn't have to wait to be seated or for our dishes. Wiener schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, and vegetable flan. And the delicious Kaiserschmarrn with apple puree.

Very centrally located in Füssen, this old-fashioned yet very charming place, just the way I like it, has a traditional feel, a family atmosphere, and a friendly atmosphere. The girl serving is lovely and even speaks a little Italian, and the service is quick. We ate very well. It was raining and cold, so I warmed up with an excellent soup, a delicious salad with yogurt sauce, generous and very tasty spaetzle, and a delicious duck with steamed vegetables. Finally, lots of vegetables, which are hard to find abroad. The price was fair, water was very expensive, as in all foreign countries. Bread wasn't available, but they'll bring it to you if you ask. Recommended.

A superb and lovingly designed ambiance that invites you to linger. We were given a small, private tour of the upstairs dining rooms, as they weren't being served the evening of our visit. You can definitely tell that the chef puts his heart and soul into his restaurant. The food was truly delicious, and you can taste the quality of what you're served. I'm willing to pay a higher price for this quality and the regionality of the products. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Füssen. Keep up the good work! 😊

Very nice nostalgic restaurant with good food and friendly service!

It's quite an experience! Excellent service, great service, and extremely friendly. It was incredibly busy, and we had to wait a long time for our food. But the atmosphere and charm made for a truly unique evening. We really enjoyed it, but don't expect miracles in terms of food. You have to experience this while you're there and judge for yourself 😁

The worst experience ever. We visited the restaurant due to good reviews. They give us a table 10 min after we had asked for, although there were plenty of free tables at that time. Then we were waiting for 1h 30min and the main dishes had not come yet. To note that 2 other tables that had come after us had their plates after they complaint. We left this horrible place without eating.

We can only say THANK YOU for this very successful visit. The service was the best and most cordial we've ever experienced. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Sure, the restaurant isn't very big, and the space isn't generous, but it's very cozy and authentic. We highly recommend it.

A wonderful visit to Madame Plüsch! The nostalgic 1920s-style ambiance is truly unique and immediately transports you to another era. The restaurant was immaculately clean and well-maintained. The menu may be limited, but that's definitely an advantage here – quality over quantity. We were particularly impressed by the homemade cheese spaetzle, which were authentically prepared regionally and simply delicious. You can tell that the food here is still made with fresh, regional ingredients. The small but fine menu focuses on the essentials and offers authentic Allgäu specialties. Each dish was lovingly prepared and deliciously delicious. The unique flair of the "Golden Twenties" makes every visit a special experience. The atmosphere here is just right – from the nostalgic decor to the regional cuisine. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Allgäu cuisine in an exceptional setting!

The chef must be a god. Very special food at a good price & extremely delicious. Never eaten anything like this before in a restaurant. Everything is fresh, not the run-of-the-mill frozen food you'd find in any other restaurant. I'm thrilled.

We went for dinner and the food was decent. The portion was generous, and the dishes we ordered were good but not exceptional (roasted Bavarian duck and König Ludwig Schnitzel). We didn't like that they wouldn't give us tap water. The restaurant has a quaint decor.

We waited 30 minutes to order. Another hour for the appetizer. Another hour for the main course. The waiter apologized, and after another 20 minutes, we were finally allowed to pay. Our drinks were on the house as an apology. The food wasn't good value for money.

We were able to place our order after 30 minutes, and after another hour, we received our starters. After we'd finished the starter, we had to wait another hour for the main course. In contrast to the high prices, the quality of the food was rather homely. I had a salad with turkey strips; the meat had been in the pan for far too long and was therefore bone dry. After we complained, the server apologized several times. This made us feel a bit more at peace.

If you have a lot of time and don't mind waiting 2 hours for your food, you can go there to eat.

The food was quite expensive, but tasted quite good. The tables were quite small, and we had very little space to park our stroller.

We did not make a booking but they managed to squeeze us in no problems despite the busy restaurant. The service was great, even providing toys for my son to play with while we waited for dinner. The meals were great ans the service was great too. For something as simple as garlic bread, it was great- my husband said it was THE BEST he’d eaten! All meals were great.

A truly charming little restaurant with great dishes (regional and organic). We stopped in here spontaneously for lunch. And it's definitely worth it. The small, straightforward menu for lunch. We had the potato soup and spaetzle, which were simply delicious, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with love and freshness. The service was friendly and very attentive to the guests. I visited here for the second time in years and found the restaurant's style unique and the service truly excellent! However, the food was a bit lacking this time, as the duck was a bit dry and the roast beef was a bit stringy. It was still very tasty, but of course, you have to expect something for that price, and it didn't quite live up to expectations this time. We'll be back anyway.

A truly wonderful restaurant with a truly fantastic ambiance, great service, and outstanding food. The portions were also quite generous. The food and atmosphere were great. The service was too but there was some question with our tour group arrangement that got us off to a slow start. Then those servers hustled and made sure everyone was happy and we were! Highly recommend, especially the food. Amazing!

We're thrilled! Such a beautiful restaurant, with this concept and decor, is truly a rarity. We had the duck and "Strindberg," as well as the liquid chocolate cake and the Quarkkeulchen for dessert. Absolutely delicious. But the most captivating thing was the waitress Milena! Such a charming and amiable person. We had a lovely conversation with her about the background of the restaurant. She seems like a truly wonderful person. A wonderful experience for us. A huge thank you!

A truly great restaurant! The atmosphere is beautiful – lovingly decorated in the French style, with lots of charm and attention to detail. The food was a real highlight: I had a baked turkey breast with cheese and potato gratin – absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was also very friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the courteous waitress, which rounded off the evening pleasantly. My only minor criticism: the wine wasn't automatically refilled – but that's really nitpicking at a high level. All in all, a thoroughly successful evening. I'll definitely be back!

My wife and I visited for the first time today. We came across the restaurant through the very positive reviews and can confirm them 100%. The facility has a special flair, the employees are friendly, courteous and more than professional. Der alte Charme des Restaurants ist mal was ganz anderes und eine coole Erfahrung. Das Essen war excellent mit tollen regionalen Produkten. Auch eine tolle Weinkarte und eine große Auswahl an Drinks. Der Dry Martini ist nur zu empfehlen ;-) der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und man merkt das sie mit Liebe zur Gastro bei der Sache sind. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend! Ambience not really great, service average and the food not great either. Other guests sometimes left almost half of it on their plates. Definitely not recommended for the price.

A somewhat hidden restaurant in the basement in the city center of Füssen. The entrance looks a bit inconspicuous, so some people can easily walk past it. However, that would be a mistake, because in this restaurant guests can expect excellent cuisine with culinary highlights. The elongated guest room is consistently furnished in a cozy, slightly dusty vintage style. The cuisine is excellent. We not only enjoyed very tasty Allgäu cheese spaetzle here, but also an absolutely perfectly prepared steak. Coffee specialties and desserts also leave little to be desired. The service is friendly, attentive and approachable. Gladly again!

I was beyond impressed with this restaurant. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding; everything was fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly balanced. It was the best Bavarian food I’ve ever had, and I’m not even usually a fan of the cuisine. This place completely won me over. The ambiance and decor added to the experience, creating an even more enjoyable vibe. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

A very nice restaurant from 1920. You feel like you've been transported back in time. The staff was super nice. I would like to give 10 stars.

We were staying in Füssen to see the castles and were looking for a nice place to eat dinner and this place came up. It is rated as one of the top restaurants in Füssen and I don't think it gives them enough credit. It is at least one of the best restaurants in Bavaria. We had dinner there and then went back for lunch the next day. The staff there were friendly and helpful. The soups were excellent. One of the reasons we went back was to have the beef broth with cheese dumpling soup from the night before but it wasn't on the lunch menu so we ordered the potato soup and that was delicious as well. For dinner we had the steak and the turkey schnitzel and both dishes were excellent and for lunch we had the Weiner Schnitzel and butter späetzle and it was outstanding. I can't say it enough how wonderful the food and staff were. It does get a little warm especially if you are deep in to the restaurant near the kitchen or if it is really crowded so, I'd make sure to remove coats and sweaters before getting comfortable but it is so worth it.

Small, original restaurant with charm. The potato soup from the lunch menu was excellent and served with garlic bread. The Kaiserschmarrn was freshly prepared, the waiting time was absolutely worth it, very crispy on the outside and airy on the inside. The very friendly and hard-working waiter was unfortunately responsible for all the guests alone, so the other guests had to be patient - we were the first guests at lunch and were therefore luckier. Card payment only possible at 50 euros.

The food was decent, but considering the price point, I expected more. The service, however, was excellent. Unfortunately, the seating was by far the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced in 33 years. Despite not being particularly tall, I couldn’t fit my knees under the table — it didn’t feel like a proper dining table at all. Additionally, the knife provided was barely functional; it struggled to cut the meat and wouldn’t have even sliced through butter. Also, only one vegetarian dish as option (being Kässespätzle) was very disappointing for my partner

My partner and I had lunch at Madame Plüsch today, and we had a lovely time. The Nostalgie-Restaurant represents its theme well through charming old-fashioned decor. It might be even nicer at night for a candlelight dinner. The service was impeccable and our Schnitzels were delicious. Almost all ingredients used by the restaurant are from Demeter or local bio farms.

I didn't like it. The environment may also be particular, but the appearance is of a dusty place that is impossible to clean. Furthermore, the presence of that mannequin behind the curtain could cause you to have a heart attack. Service a little rough. We didn't even like the dishes and the combinations, which lacked taste. However, the meat was tender and cooked well. I wouldn't go back.

Went there during public holiday. Restaurant was full but only have 1 waitor and 1 waitress. Have made reservation but still have waited for 20 mins before we could take a seat even we were on time. Then also waited for a long time to order and for the food. When we were eating the waitor keep rushing up and down and just ruined the cosy relaxing atmosphere Food itself was credible and the staffs were trying to be as friendly as they could but they were just simply too busy.

For lunch we ordered the potato soup and the red meat was incredible, we went back to eat the duck which is only made for dinner.

We originally chose Madame Plush because of the nice interior design - and were overwhelmed by the fantastic food. The onion roast with cheese spaetzle is simply bombastic! And super friendly service, even though it was super crowded today thanks to the holiday and our waiter was literally just running. Absolute recommendation!

Mixed Feelings - the bottom line was that the food was good, but in my opinion the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all, completely overpriced.

Good service, the food was OK but not great. The side salad was served in a lettuce leaf. On the one hand, it was well dressed, but on the other, the lettuce was only roughly torn. The size of the lettuce leaves was more like "animal feed," a bit careless. Also, the 70s/80s were getting in touch, wanting their orange slices back. The beef fillet under the mustard crust was cooked to perfection.

A picturesque setting reminiscent of a German country house from the early 1900s, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The traditional cuisine is delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients and carefully presented. One of the best places in town for an authentic and relaxing meal. Not to be missed!

My partner and I were there at the weekend, a spontaneous reservation worked out great, the cook (?) and the service staff were super nice and we asked several times, without being intrusive, whether everything was okay, whether we were satisfied and whether we needed anything else. The food was fantastic and the toilets were nice and clean. Gladly again! And thank you very much!

A fun tourist restaurant with delicious food and nice service. The Madame Plush lives up to its name because you actually sit in a living room. We had the cheese spaetzle, which was really excellent. Das Lokal ist sehr gut ausgebucht. Reservieren notwendig. Sehr schönes Ambiente, die MA sind sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wenn auch etwas zu teuer. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir kommen wieder.
