The food is very tasty and the atmosphere cozy

The interior ambience is very nice. We then decided on something from the regular menu. Unfortunately, the food was really only average and the descriptions of the dishes were not accurate. The burrata dish had fried mushrooms instead of peppers and olive crumble. Unfortunately, we were not told this beforehand and there was no response when we asked about it. The burger tasted like a standard burger that you could probably make better on your own grill at home. If you don't get what you order, you would at least be happy if the restaurant would be a bit more accommodating on the price. But unfortunately, that didn't happen.

This restaurant simply invites you to return. The ambiance is pleasantly comfortable and not intrusive. The service is friendly. However, the waitress could have taken my empty glass and bottle from the table on one or two occasions. The food was simply unbelievably delicious. The photos show: Allgäu Kässpatzen (cheese spaetzle), Allgäu country chicken, and Riwa's Kaiserschmarrn (shrimp). We went back two days later and had venison goulash, roast beef, a sun burger, pumpkin soup, Kaiserschmarrn (shrimp pancakes), and Alsatian tarte flambée. Everything was unbelievably delicious. The service was also excellent (even better).

Loved this restaurant so much that we ate here two nights in a row for dinner! Service is excellent (shoutout to Chris!). The smash burger is delicious and we loved their fries. Lemon salad dressing made the fresh side salad even better. Mandarin cheesecake was too good to stop eating even though I was incredibly full. My daughter loved her flatbread even though she can be super picky. Delicious wines and cocktails, too! Also, the morning buffet breakfast is second to none. We loved it!! So many great offerings for any palate. Totally worth the price.

we had a nice lunch, vegetarian and vegan options available

This was my third time dining at RIWA, but unfortunately, it’s the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a review, and not for good reasons. Although I understand German quite well, I’m not as confident speaking it. Our server, who was very capable in English, treated us noticeably differently compared to the guests around us. While others received warm, attentive service, we often felt overlooked and treated as an afterthought. What made the experience even more disheartening was the shift in her attitude when we chose not to leave a tip, after we paid, her only parting words were a curt ‘bye.’ A disappointing experience at a place I once enjoyed.

Incredibly delicious food, very friendly service

We had a truly lovely evening in this super cozy restaurant. The ambiance was incredibly pleasant – stylish yet relaxed – and the service was truly friendly and attentive. We had spare ribs and a steak with potatoes and asparagus for dinner. And what can I say: simply delicious! The meat was super tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The side dishes also complemented it perfectly. All in all: great food, friendly service, lovely ambiance – we'll definitely be back!

The stylish and sophisticated design immediately catches your eye upon entering. Every detail is lovingly crafted – you immediately feel like you're on vacation. The tarte flambée is very reminiscent of the one from Alsace: wafer-thin, crispy dough and plenty of fresh ingredients on top – simply delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn was one of the best I've ever eaten – with almonds and wonderfully caramelized pieces of dough. A real highlight! The portions are very generous, and the service is attentive, friendly, and professional. A place you'll gladly return to!

We went out to eat twice during our stay at the hotel. What can we say? Great terrace, great food (super tasty burgers with amazing fries and the best sweet potato fries ever). The entire staff is very friendly and empathetic!

Excellent food and service! I enjoyed two exceptional dinners here while on vacation. I really appreciated the delicious menu items that accommodated my special dietary needs (gluten and lactose). Chris was our server tonight and was awesome! He had great recommendations for us and went above and beyond to make our dinner a wonderful experience.

Kwamen tijdens spitsuur maar wilden alleen maar wat drinken na lange rit met veel regen. Host super vriendelijk en we konden in de lounge bank plaatsnemen. Kennelijk de enige plek in Füssen waar dat mogelijk is. Zagen veel eten voorbij komen dat er heerlijk uitzag (vooral de hamburgers en ze rolen ook zo lekker) maar we hadden al reservering elders …

We definitely recommend this restaurant! It took us 1.5 hours to get there, but we will definitely eat there again. We sat outside, and the only downside was that many people around us were smoking while we ate.

Delicious and friendly!!! I visited Riwa twice during my vacation in Füssen. Unfortunately, the third time something didn't work out with the reservation so we had to leave again because there was no table left, despite having made a reservation by telephone. That was a shame but they tried very hard and apologized several times! I found all the waitresses to be extremely friendly and quick and the food and drinks were also delicious! What I like best is the ambience! The Riwa is really very appealing and I recommend everyone to go there once!!!

We had lunch here today - baked cabbage (vegan) and Kaiserschmarren were super tasty - large portions, prices ok. O. - very good and courteous staff. Also a nice atmosphere in the middle of the city. Really highly recommended. Would love to come back. Of course there could be one or two more vegan dishes on the menu, but the cabbage was really good and the waiter's recommendation didn't disappoint 😍

Far too expensive cocktails in a self-service bar. Unfortunately, music is often paused. Too few staff for a full bar. Long waiting time and only moderately good cocktails. Nothing special, just forced clearance. That's why I only had one cocktail. Not a good feeling to spend a nice evening.

We started with Iberico croquettes as a starter – super tasty! Then we enjoyed delicious Flammkuchen and a creamy Käsespätzle as main courses. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy and the very friendly host made the experience complete. Highly recommended for those who love good food and a warm welcome! ✨🍷🍽️

We were there for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the selection was very varied. Class. A lot of things are then prepared fresh. A small point deduction at the deli counter for sausage and cheese that has already been sliced. Some things here were already dried out, still good but no longer very appetizing to look at. All in all, a delicious, varied breakfast.

We were there for dinner. Overall, the food was just average and partly only lukewarm. That's why I wouldn't go there again. Nothing special. Ambience is nice, service was nice. In my opinion, it is only recommended to a limited extent for a relaxed dinner, as it is large and correspondingly loud.

When I wanted to have something to eat here with my colleague, I first thought that it was just a typical bar, but after spending some time here I felt like I was at home with the great service and great food. I am very grateful to Elly and Denis for such a lovely evening and I will 100% visit the atmosphere again

Absolutely best cheese spaetzle ever! And the Kaiserschmarren is to die for!

The staff is very friendly in the morning for breakfast and in the restaurant in the evening. The portions are large and of top quality for the price. In addition, the service and kitchen are very organized. Drinks and food come quickly and the food always comes to the table hot.

La carte est variée, la présentation des plats est soignée, cuisine de bonne qualité. Jolie déco, service efficace et aimable. Une très bonne adresse à Fussen. Bémol : les cocktails manquent d'alcool.

When offered water, as is so often standard, be aware it's not free tap water as you would assume, it cost us 10 euro and was probably tap water

Special place. Price performance is good. It's not just going out to eat, it's an invitation to chill out and stay. There is also a huge selection and also very good cocktails.

Entrecote besteld en gevraagd of we de mais mochten omruilen voor salade, dat kon. Frietjes zaten erbij zei de dame, dus deze hoefde mijn man niet te bestellen, alleen hij wilde frietjes. De borden kwamen en er zat inderdaad friet bij allebei de pannetjes, de mais was weggelaten. Salade is alleen groene blaadjes en dressing verder niets en dat blijkt achteraf voor €6,50 per schaaltje groene blaadjes. Op de rekening stond salade 2X €6,50 en friet 2X €2,50, nou ja!! Komt erop neer dat een entrecote, wat geen entrecote was, €37 euro kost, absurd! En vals geïnformeerd door de bediening. Ook nog Gammel stoeltje, waar je op zit. Hotel is prima, maar restaurant is zeer overgewaardeerd als ik de reviews lees.

Was there for the first and last time on Friday. The ambience and the music were really good – exactly what you want for a successful evening. The drinks were of great quality, but the selection was rather limited. What was also a shame: The first drink was decorated really nicely - the following drinks, on the other hand, seemed carelessly thrown together. Unfortunately, the biggest negative point was the service. You felt completely ignored most of the time. It seemed chaotic and disorganized, even though the bar wasn't crowded. I know that you can provide good service even with a small number of staff. Especially because I work in the catering industry myself, I know: There is a better way. What really annoyed us was that the website advertised a Ladies Night – the first drink was free. We specifically asked the waitress whether this only applies to certain drinks, and she said clearly: “No, it doesn’t matter which one.” But when it came time to pay, they suddenly said it wouldn't apply at all or would only apply to a non-alcoholic drink. Sorry, but that is simply misleading and disappointing. If you're going to advertise, you should stand by it - otherwise, as a guest, you'll just feel like you've been taken for a ride.

The ambient was super nice and the food really good! Definitely recommend it!

For now, the food was good. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. The waiter was quite pushy and tried to force all sorts of additional sales. We increasingly noticed how other guests tried to draw attention to themselves, but were completely ignored. When we calculated the bill at the end, we noticed that the bill was higher than it should have been. I would like to point out again that the rating applies to the service and that the food was perfectly fine. Nevertheless, I appeal to every guest to check the bill carefully again.

Here for the first time today, the atmosphere and music are great. The service is really bad. Staff is not attentive at all and you feel like you have failed in your job. I know what I'm talking about, I've been working in service for 35 years.

Super spitze. Der Pulpo ist mega lecker. Die kleine und feine Weinauswahl ist fair bepreist. Für Füssen eher günstig. Wir haben 2 Flaschen Sauvignon getrunken.

We've been to RIWA for breakfast/brunch a few times and can highly recommend it. Friendly, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. There's something for everyone, from savory to sweet treats, cereal, milk,... a fantastic buffet.

I had a Kaiserschmarrn, which was truly phenomenal. You can choose two sauces (apple sauce, plum sauce, etc.) to go with the Kaiserschmarrn, which are included in the price. The portion is truly incredibly generous, so the price of €15.50 is definitely justified. I would also like to particularly highlight the service, which was incredibly attentive and friendly. Both the drinks and the food arrived quickly.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, each dish was a masterpiece. The staff was friendly and professional as well. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic cheese spaetzle - an absolute delight!

I don't go to Riwa to eat anymore, unfortunately I've been disappointed many times. After the last visit, when I ate the bowl with fish, I spent the entire next day hanging over the bowl. 🤢 Unfortunately, the service isn't particularly friendly either.

Great breakfast in Füssen. At RIWA, it's not just the breakfast that's good. It also has a great ambience. Rounded off by very nice staff. Breakfast doesn't just include rolls with different toppings, but also a buffet with fresh omelettes and coffee from the portafilter machine. For desert then an excellent Kaiserschmarn. The trip to Füssen to riwa was definitely worth it. Absolutely clear recommendation! I'm attaching a few photos of the location in the appendix, as there are already quite a few food pictures in there over the course of the recessions.

Unfriendly service with very short hair!!! Was there today for a drink she was very rude and unprofessional. The operators should pay more attention to the staff attitude, the service was so arrogant and unprofessional for this store. It's a shame I'll never come back again. No recommendation as long as this short-haired waitress is there.

Very tasty food, great service and nice ambience. We were visiting on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was very well attended. There is also music playing and it is of course loud in the dining room, you should be aware of that. That didn't bother us and we had a very nice evening. The restaurant is very spacious and stylishly decorated.

Seabass risotto with local dark beer

WOW! You haven't eaten ribs until you've tried these. Simply stunningly good! And the portion is massive, just the way I like it. The Käsespätzle were excellently cheesy, but could have been a little less oily/greasy. It was lemonade well mixed, everything was great. The service was also very amusing and DJ Bros made very good music and atmosphere. But I still have 2 points: 1. better knives please 2. why don't you have a branch in Karlsruhe yet?!?

While looking for a suitable restaurant for dinner, we came across RIWA. Very nice restaurant, super nice staff, no long waiting times, very good price-performance ratio and very good taste. We will definitely come here again.

A very good restaurant. We celebrated our birthday at RIWA and were very surprised at how attentive and nice the service was. The table was decorated especially for us and we received a birthday cake with a candle. The atmosphere is very chic and cozy, the food was great. The spare ribs tasted particularly good.

Herrlich! Nicht nur Fans von Richard Wagner und König Ludwig II geht hier das Herz auf. Herrliche Dekoration und tolle Atmosphäre, dazu nettes und schnelles Personal machen den Abend zu einem wahren Vergnügen. Die Speisekarte lässt kaum Wünsche offen, auch Vegetarier und Veganer kommen auf ihre Kosten. Ganz wundervoll - wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

What a beautiful restaurant! The decor is artistic, special and cozy all at once. The service is super friendly, light-hearted and helpful! Lots of variety on the menu, Flammkuchen, Burger, soups. The fries were especially flavorful and well-seasoned. Kid-friendly and a great atmosphere. We would absolutely come back!🥂

We have been to Riwa several times now and have tested breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet is really beautifully and attractively designed and the quality of the food is very good. We also enjoyed lunch and dinner, but it's worth stopping by just for a cocktail. The decor and ambience are modern and cool, yet cozy.

Not worth your time. We waited 30 minutes just to get menus. Food was sub par. If you want pub food or steak, find somewhere else. Waited another 30 minutes after asking to pay the bill.

The food was really tasty, the portions were generous, and the cuisine impressed us. Unfortunately, the evening was marred by a bad seat, despite prior requests when making the reservation for a special table for a birthday. We sat cramped and in the middle of the aisle, and our request for an alternative was treated with little flexibility. It's a shame that the service couldn't keep up with the quality of the food.

Service was really good, but the billing was just cheeky! The waiter briefly showed the bill, which already included a €5 tip, without saying a word about it. Finally, only the final amount was mentioned, after which, of course, another tip was added on top. My companion then pointed this out to me because she had noticed it. Food was good, but a meager portion for a hefty price.

Auf den ersten Blick erinnert die Karte an ein Burger Restaurant. Bei genauerem Hinsehen ließen sich leckere und ausgefallene vegane und vegetarische Gerichte, die mit viel Liebe und Details zubereitet waren entdecken. Wir hatten den gebackenen Kohl mit Humus sowie einen veggie Flammkuchen - beides wirklich klasse! Da darf man die Burger gerne links liegen lassen ;-).

Very nice restaurant, attentive and friendly service. Food tastes good, but clearly too expensive for the rather small portion size. The exception to this is the Kaiserschmarren, where the price/performance ratio definitely fits.

We came here for a little drink. Luckily there was still something available without making a reservation. Very cool atmosphere. Good selection of cocktails. However, I don't know what the service or taste is like. But the desserts, set up at the entrance, looked delicious.

The card was totally crumpled and was in need of replacement. The service did not respond to requests. Very cold demeanor. Special food requests were not fulfilled even though the same food was served at the neighboring table. Apparently only for children - schnitzel fries - no exception. Very unfortunate. It was the first time there and definitely the last time there. And goodbye.

Unfortunately, I don't remember our visit so positively. The service was very inattentive and, despite multiple attempts to contact us, it took us 20 minutes to get menus. When I wanted to ask two waitresses who were making private small talk about the cake, I was told to wait until they were ready. I thought that was pretty bold. Ultimately it turned out that there was only 1 cake in a restaurant that advertised its own confectionery, so we ordered waffles and something to drink. The waffles were okay. To save my honor, I have to say that the service got significantly better when the staff changed. Overall, unfortunately, we were given the impression that we were a nuisance. We paid pretty quickly and left. It's a shame because the actually beautiful ambience invites you to linger.

Food was decent. Service was nonexistent, not sure if under staffed or too busy. Just getting the check took 30 minutes.

The service was unfriendly and didn't speak good German. Despite calling and making a reservation in advance with a note that we wanted to eat, we were then told that we were too late. It was then taken back and we were given a table and the cards. The waiter stressed us out to order quickly and then didn't come for several minutes. Unnecessary stress. The burgers are too expensive for the children's portion.

As a traveler… I really appreciate good service and a welcoming atmosphere… The restaurant has very good food, but the service for tourists is very cold. They will do everything they can to make you spend as much as possible and will kick you out as soon as possible with the excuse that there is a reservation for the table, even if the restaurant is empty. I do not recommend it for tourists from other countries.

It was a horrible experience. Ruined a day which started super happy (Xmas day 25th December 2024). Speaking English is not that welcome over there, you got bad treatment 🙂

Very rude staff. It has been impossible to eat there, the waiter says that they don't have fruit when in fact they do and throws the menu at us on the table.

The atmosphere and service are first class. Food for 2 points. Meat in the burger is not salty at all. Vinegar sauce. Salads are too vinegary. The waiting time for a meal is very long for such simple meals. I specifically ordered a burger without pickles. It was brought with cucumbers. Meal for 60 euros for two people and not being full.

5 stars for the food which was delicious! Great selection of food and drinks and definitely well prepared. 1 star for the service. Not a smile, a grumpy man serving you all the time, making you uncomfortable. It is sad as it could have been a perfect evening and we just wanted to get out of there.

The dishes are good in quantity and quality, I loved the variety of food they have, because I was looking for something with vegetables with meat and my boyfriend adapts a little better to German food than I do. I missed eating variety in the same meal these days when we are on vacation, and this restaurant has left me very satisfied. The place takes great care of cleanliness and decoration. Something that seems ugly to me is that they charge you quite a bit for tap water (even if it is filtered)… I ordered a matcha with soy drink to take away, and the quantity and quality were unbeatable. The resistant and easy-to-carry container. The bathrooms: very clean and with disinfectant. I have missed a letter in Spanish, small detail... In short: highly recommended.

2nd Advent like April 1st. Total chaos. People, people, people and everyone is starving. We canceled the reserved breakfast buffet after dishes became unavailable. No coffee cups. When asked where the cups are...we have 200 cups, all of which are in circulation. You'll just have to wait... The battle at the buffet couldn't be won without cereal bowls. So another defeat in the game of locals versus mass tourism. Good luck with continued success. But without me.
