RIWA Bar & Restaurant in Füssen

The card was totally crumpled and was in need of replacement. The service did not respond to requests. Very cold demeanor. Special food requests were not fulfilled even though the same food was served at the neighboring table. Apparently only for children - schnitzel fries - no exception. Very unfortunate. It was the first time there and definitely the last time there. And goodbye.

Unfortunately, I don't remember our visit so positively. The service was very inattentive and, despite multiple attempts to contact us, it took us 20 minutes to get menus. When I wanted to ask two waitresses who were making private small talk about the cake, I was told to wait until they were ready. I thought that was pretty bold. Ultimately it turned out that there was only 1 cake in a restaurant that advertised its own confectionery, so we ordered waffles and something to drink. The waffles were okay. To save my honor, I have to say that the service got significantly better when the staff changed. Overall, unfortunately, we were given the impression that we were a nuisance. We paid pretty quickly and left. It's a shame because the actually beautiful ambience invites you to linger.

Nothing was homemade bought in bbq sauce pre battered Fisch and the beef ribs where dry.

Food was decent. Service was nonexistent, not sure if under staffed or too busy. Just getting the check took 30 minutes.

The service was unfriendly and didn't speak good German. Despite calling and making a reservation in advance with a note that we wanted to eat, we were then told that we were too late. It was then taken back and we were given a table and the cards. The waiter stressed us out to order quickly and then didn't come for several minutes. Unnecessary stress. The burgers are too expensive for the children's portion.

As a traveler… I really appreciate good service and a welcoming atmosphere… The restaurant has very good food, but the service for tourists is very cold. They will do everything they can to make you spend as much as possible and will kick you out as soon as possible with the excuse that there is a reservation for the table, even if the restaurant is empty. I do not recommend it for tourists from other countries.

Very rude staff. It has been impossible to eat there, the waiter says that they don't have fruit when in fact they do and throws the menu at us on the table.

It was a horrible experience. Ruined a day which started super happy (Xmas day 25th December 2024). Speaking English is not that welcome over there, you got bad treatment 🙂

The atmosphere and service are first class. Food for 2 points. Meat in the burger is not salty at all. Vinegar sauce. Salads are too vinegary. The waiting time for a meal is very long for such simple meals. I specifically ordered a burger without pickles. It was brought with cucumbers. Meal for 60 euros for two people and not being full.

5 stars for the food which was delicious! Great selection of food and drinks and definitely well prepared. 1 star for the service. Not a smile, a grumpy man serving you all the time, making you uncomfortable. It is sad as it could have been a perfect evening and we just wanted to get out of there.

The dishes are good in quantity and quality, I loved the variety of food they have, because I was looking for something with vegetables with meat and my boyfriend adapts a little better to German food than I do. I missed eating variety in the same meal these days when we are on vacation, and this restaurant has left me very satisfied. The place takes great care of cleanliness and decoration. Something that seems ugly to me is that they charge you quite a bit for tap water (even if it is filtered)… I ordered a matcha with soy drink to take away, and the quantity and quality were unbeatable. The resistant and easy-to-carry container. The bathrooms: very clean and with disinfectant. I have missed a letter in Spanish, small detail... In short: highly recommended.

Highly recommended, I had burger salad and beer, everything was absolutely great! The service was very friendly and quick, all in all great. Price performance ratio top.

2nd Advent like April 1st. Total chaos. People, people, people and everyone is starving. We canceled the reserved breakfast buffet after dishes became unavailable. No coffee cups. When asked where the cups are...we have 200 cups, all of which are in circulation. You'll just have to wait... The battle at the buffet couldn't be won without cereal bowls. So another defeat in the game of locals versus mass tourism. Good luck with continued success. But without me.

We discovered this place a few meters from our hotel, the bar is really very nice, the quality of the cocktails is excellent. The service was obviously a little slow due to the many people in the place.

Sunday breakfast a nightmare. Totally overcrowded, absolute chaos. We made a reservation but unfortunately had to leave. Not enough dishes, no coffee. It felt like 300 guests, like at the train station. The poor service employees. No chance as a local.}) p

We came across the restaurant online and would definitely come back! The restaurant is furnished in a very modern way, scores with the staff and the diverse (but not exaggerated) selection on the menu! After a few days of rich, hearty Bavarian cuisine, we were very happy to find a restaurant that offered “lighter” food (salads, bowls, etc.) and were not at all disappointed. The waiter made recommendations that were well received by us and was extremely accommodating. Big congratulations to the team!

The food is very tasty and the prices are completely justified. We had dinner at RIWA twice during our vacation, but I wouldn't recommend it more often, but the selection on the evening menu isn't big enough. It gets full quickly in the evening, I recommend everyone to make a reservation online.

The absolute best restaurant in Füssen. Tasty food, friendly staff, unique and photo worthy interior that pays homage to Prince Ludwig, and a fun games area for the kids to enjoy.

Kaiserschmarrn is great. But be careful: When paying, a very generous tip is already entered without prior consultation!!! The bill is shown on the tablet so quickly that you can hardly keep track of it!

Very unusual and tasty menu, with a selection of vegetarian dishes. We felt like we were in good hands with the winemakers (very friendly and accommodating). The ambience is a real eye-catcher, beautifully modern. The cocktail menu also has a large selection (you can definitely spend a successful and long evening here!). Very delicious food in a super cool environment

Riwa has a great breakfast buffet but unfortunately you can never spontaneously go for breakfast there. I've been rejected for the 7th time in 3 months. It's a shame

My husband and I just flew in from Ohio and were tired and hungry. It was a Tuesday night and RIWA was open so we went there. SO GLAD WE DID! The food was EXCELLENT. The Farmburger was probably one of the best burgers we have ever had and sausage with pumpkin purée was delicious. The service was friendly. We highly recommend.

Nice bar very nicely done. However, the music is way too loud and I have to scream at it.

Huge beer and Kaiserschmarrn, what else could a person want? The prices might put you off at first, but the second you see the portions you’ll understand what is going on. The food, the atmosphere, and the comfortable couch after a long day of hiking will all make it worth it. Sadly the service was a bit slow the evening I visited, but it might have just been my bad luck, because no one else seems to have had a problem (maybe I just caught them during their shift change). I sincerely recommend this place.

Leider wurden wir, weil wir nur etwas trinken wollten, zweimal versucht umzusetzen. Sehr unfreundliche Bedienung. So geht man nicht mit Gästen um, die einfach nur einen schönen Abend verbringen wollten. Fazit: Mann oder Frau ist nur gerne gesehen wenn man speist.

The place looks posh and nicely decorated. Food is good. Many of you guys think that German Food and nothing to shout about. But the food here is good. The wheat beer is good too. Overall, I'm satisfied and the service is good too. I will visit here again next time. Thank you very much and please keep doing what you are doing.

The waiter was listless and clearly showed that it was actually too full for him and that the amount of customers was annoying. The food came quickly, but was rather average.

So eating was good; Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong starter; but the main course was great. The ambience is really nice and fits in very well with a modern mix of restaurant and hotel bar. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great, as there was a lack of attention to drinks and clearing away previous courses. When billing, there was a rather bold reference to a tip…. It's just not right. Despite the really good food, I don't necessarily have to go there again. The preceding reputation is better than the experience.

Lively evening atmosphere and attentive service

Food was incredible and the atmosphere was nice. Can recommend the Hirschgulasch (deer gulash) and Kräuterseitlinge (king oyster mushrooms).

Pure disappointment. We were there a few months ago and weren't impressed. We were supposed to give it another chance and were disappointed again. The service was problematic and the quality of the food was too poor for the price. We ordered the entrecote, which was incredibly tough and hardly edible. The ribs were also 90% fat and had hardly any meat. The prices are hefty and the quality is poor. There won't be another attempt there.

wait for more than 10mins till somebody ask us how many people and show us the table。 I understand it‘s a lot of work to take care of a large restaurant just with 2 person at shift， but really feeling be ignored after 20mins waiting to get my food orderd. Not mention an insect fly out from the salad😨😨😨…call for 10mins and nobody answered🤬🤬🤬 roast beef is nice，sparerib soso… Dont come. 等N久都没人带位。20分钟挥了好多次手，都说等1分钟就来，然后就走了再也不过来。服务态度也不好，看菜牌多1分钟就会催你，真的很不礼貌。有只不知名的虫子在chicken bowl的沙拉菜里面爬出来飞走了，然后拿回去重做半小时都没有再拿新的来。我说直接结帐吧，就说厨房在做了。 总的来说，避坑吧。

This was a really nice break from the traditional German food, which is lovely but heavy at times. RIWA reminded me of restaurants in the US because it had all types of food, including a really good burger and amazing cocktails. I love a good cocktail but didn't find much in Germany, mostly beer and wine. RIWA had an amazing twist on an Old Fashion. And they played American rock music from the 70s and 80s.

The falafel burger was good, but not outstanding either. The falafel itself was crunchy but I would have generally liked a little more of the paprika cream as the bun was a bit dry. The fries and the panna cotta were very good. The restaurant is modernly furnished and has a great ambience, but it is also a bit more expensive.

Atmosphere was awesome, we loved the decorations and attention to detail. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed with how busy the restaurant was but still attentive to our table. Overall, it was a great experience and we highly recommend. The desserts especially!

The RIWA is a very good restaurant in a long-established hotel in Füssen. From the very stylish furnishings in a special style and the really recommendable food to the service, we can only recommend it. We had brunch there with friends.

A magnificent restaurant with wonderful design. The hall smoothly turns into a summer area. Fast service. Everything is very tasty. I really liked the hummus.

The decoration of the restaurant is really beautiful, it was pleasant to eat in this setting. In addition, the burgers and desserts were very good, no complaints about that. I'm taking one star off for charging us €3 for a glass of water that we asked for before leaving, knowing that we had consumed drinks during our meal. It's expensive for a simple water with half a slice of lemon. €6 added to the bill for so little I don't find that very reasonable.

We ate vegan dishes at Riwa and it was delicious and well prepared. Tofu skewers with corn, pea cream and peppers. My friend had the fried cabbage. We will definitely go there again and try out more dishes. 🤩👍🏻

The food and drinks were great, the service left a lot to be desired (1st it took forever and the waitress was upset and didn't really deserve a tip for the service). Atmosphere more bar than restaurant in the evening, quite loud. But very chic and modern furnished :)

Delicious food, super friendly staff, delicious cocktails, nothing to be desired here. We eat here every day of our vacation and we are always satisfied.

We found it one of the best restaurant on a small city, we had at least 6 meal there and most of them were amazing.

Had to wait for the table even though table for two was available and not reserved. Veg burger was nothing but falafel balls in a bun with onion. ..Something you can get on kebab/ Turkish eatery at half the cost. Wine by glass priced on higher side. ...but worse thing was riwa special kaieserrman served just warm bordering cold on a wet rainy evening!!

Just a lovely place in general, food was awesome. I had the beef ribs, so tasty and tender. We also tried the kale, burger and flammkuchen all was really good. Drinks were fun and fresh as well. Price is not too bad either. 23 i think for the ribs, and average 11 for a drink. Could definitely spend a few hours getting drinks here. The atmosphere was definitely great. Would be happy to go there again if i come to füssen again

Food was fine, nothing special. Don't expect large portions. We eventually left for another restaurant because of the many wasps. The service is extremely friendly!

I had to send the entrecôte back because it had a lot of fat, but there was no problem, they replaced it without any problem and it was great. The service was hardworking and friendly, but a little slow. However, it was a good experience. I recommend.

After desperately trying to find dinner after 21:30.. this was the only place who would take us, and did not disappoint ! Good food, and very friendly staff. Nothing bavarian here but at least it is open „late“ and offers good service.

Super tasty food, fast service and pleasant atmosphere

We ordered a burger ( a falafel burger already costs 17.5) and we asked if we could have sweet potato instead of normal, we thought it would be the same price but at the end he added us 2.5 for that and the potatos were burnt!! Also the burger is soo small and the bread is really cheap , also you don't have salade or tomato in the burger... not worth it! I don't recommend at all.

Schönes Restaurant mit kleinem Außenbereich im Hotel Sonne. Gut besucht, daher besser vorher reservieren. Sowohl das Essen als auch die Getränke waren sehr lecker. Der Kellner war trotz vieler Gäste sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und auskunftsfreudig. Das findet man selten. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

I like being at RIWA. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and there are always new creations on the menu.

Strongly recommend the farmer's burger. Probably the only restaurant that's open after 10 pm in Füssen.

This is actually very easy for me here. Clear 5 stars. The food is great. Definitely order the Kaiserschmarrn. Small deduction in service because the applesauce didn't work out so well and the repeat order didn't arrive either. Still great
