My typical go-to is a lamb biryani at an Indian restaurant. Can’t go wrong. And certainly wasn’t wrong at this restaurant. We ordered Helles beer and my colleague ordered a curry and I ordered the biryani.
Food came out within 10 min. Restaurant wasn’t busy at 8:30 pm. It’s located within a mall next to the Residence Inn by Marriott we were staying at (1 min walk away outside, same level). The lamb was tender, the rice was cooked well, and the dish was seasoned properly. The dish was also not too oily and did not come with a bread topping, which I personally am not a fan of. My nitpick is that for the price of €18, I’d expect at least an egg to come with the dish.
Waiter was very attentive. He even gave me a dish of finger chillies to accompany the biryani.
Atmosphere was meh. It’s a mall.
Takeaway…if you’re traveling and staying at the Résidence inn, well worth the dinner especially if you’re getting a bit tired of German food…
Seit dem Besitzerwechsel eine Enttäuschung. Der Laden hat komplett an Qualität verloren. Das Essen war ungenießbar und der Service ist sehr schwach geworden.
Absolutely great. Delicious, affordable food, cozy atmosphere. There is a small shop nearby and a spacious playground that even older children like. Everything was great!
The old head chef was much better, the service was very arrogant. We asked for water far too often. The staff seemed very stressed and argued loudly in the restaurant. The owner thinks he knows everything, it's unbelievable. I wouldn't recommend it, it's not worth the price!
So, we came on a friend's recommendation!
My wife and I were deeply disappointed. We ordered rump steak medium-well, but it arrived completely overcooked and dry with a lot of fat. Even worse, it was lukewarm, which is unacceptable for meat! The restaurant itself is small and nice, but it was very cold; even the staff were wearing vests.
The prices and menu selection were good. The staff was very attentive and polite.
No thanks, we know much better places.
