PhoYou in München

The service was unacceptable. We sat at the table at 14:50 and told the waitress we were ready to order, but she told us to wait. Instead of taking the order, she kept cleaning and walking around, even though the place was empty. She finally came to the table at 15:01 and announced that the promotion was no longer available because the time had passed. This is not only disappointing, but also a complete lack of culture and respect for the customer.

A cute little restaurant that I highly recommend. Excellent value for money. The food and service are super friendly.

I tried the chicken version of their excellent, authentic pho and was thoroughly impressed. The broth was deeply flavourful and satisfyingly soupy; everything you want in a classic pho. My only minor critique is that it could do with a touch less salt, but it was still delicious. Also, I loved the restaurant's vibrant red vibe and overall aesthetic, which made for a great lunch experience.

Inside: The temperature soared to 33 degrees Celsius that day, and the outdoor tables were all full. There was no air conditioning inside, only a small fan, which everyone took turns using. Eating hot soup and noodles helped with sweating. Meals: We each ordered yellow curry dry noodles, Vietnamese chicken pho soup, and two drinks. The main dishes were delicious, with the yellow curry noodles being very flavorful. The chicken was an additional charge. Service and Checkout: The service was excellent. The restaurant stated that only credit cards were accepted. At checkout, the staff asked if we wanted a tip, and the card machine offered 5% and 10% tip options.

The place has a unique atmosphere that depends on the costumer to judge. The wait time is a little bit more than half an hour (at least at around 8 pm), ehich is a little bit more than someone would expect. The quality of the food adequate for the price (the price of a pho soup is around 14€. The staff was helpful.

Quite expensive and the food is bland would really racomend it, quite starless nothing special, for a soup a pitta with some meat and a bottle of water we spent 30€

The pho with tofu was, unfortunately, really disappointing. The tofu was simply sliced into it uncooked; I would have prepared it better at home... It's a shame, because a year ago it was really good.

The two guys were really nice...and the service was more than top-notch...the ambiance is nice and the price/performance ratio is absolutely okay...the food was completely okay...but not outstanding!

Unfortunately, the rice noodle salad and the sauce in it tasted very bland.

Nice Vietnamese food. Definitely worth visiting. Looks like they don’t have a/c inside so it was quite hot the day we went. Also, not sure why but they didn’t tell us they have standard sauces for Pho Bo. Initially I was pissed but We noticed them on another table by chance and then pho Bo got it proper shape and taste :) . Also, seems their prices on the e-menu which you scan differs from what they charge in the end.

I was 5 other people, and they were all annoyed that I chose this place for dinner (based on the good Google reviews!) because our dishes were underwhelming. They weren't horrible, we just wouldn't go back.

A noodle shop? A curry shop? I ordered Asian beef noodles thinking of the rice noodles sold in Korea, but they were bibim noodles! I think I had to order pho soup and add noodles to get the noodles I was looking for. The red curry was delicious and the amount of rice was generous. They also have sriracha sauce, so ask for it and eat it to your taste.

Very delicious food! The atmosphere is cozy. Unfortunately, the tables are a bit close together, so you can't help but overhear conversations from the next table. I have to say, though, we had a great time ;)

Really very tasty Pho in a very nice restaurant. The waitresses are also very, very nice. The volume in the restaurant is also very low, which makes it easy to have a conversation. Despite the weekend, a reservation wasn't necessary; we got a table straight away. All in all, really highly recommended!

We went to PhoYou again and were disappointed. We eat Vietnamese food very often and have plenty to compare it to. Our first visit last year was a delight, but today, unfortunately, less so. The summer rolls consisted only, literally only, of iceberg lettuce and carrot strips. So, basically, iceberg rolls. No noodles, no herbs, no vegetables. When we asked about it, we were told they were vegetarian. We weren't allowed to return them. A completely tasteless experience for €5.50 each. The main course was okay (no more) and the portion size was very manageable. We won't be back. Note: The owner has now had this review deleted 10 times (!!!) for "slander" and "defamation." My emails received no response from management. I filed an objection and was able to prove to Google that my review was factual and always complied with Google's guidelines (objective tone, no defamation or slander, etc.). Therefore, it was reactivated each time. I consider this repeated submission of identical deletion requests without new justification to be harassing, so I have now reported a suspected abuse of the reporting process to Google. I will certainly continue to stand up for my rights.

Unfortunately, our visit to Pho You in Munich was very disappointing. The food was completely unimpressive in terms of taste – especially the summer rolls, which consisted almost entirely of lettuce and a few carrots. We would have expected considerably more for the price. We were also served the wrong curry, and instead of politely correcting the mistake, the service was rather unfriendly and uninspiring. Overall, a very unsatisfying experience, one we definitely won't repeat.

Asian beef noodles were tasteless. I asked for alcohol-free beer, and the waiter brought me a regular one. I wouldn’t recommend going there.

If you need your pho fix while in Munich. This is the place to go. A good serving with beef. The broth was hearty and perfect for the cold weather.

A cozy Asian place that offers interesting tasting dishes. The sizes are really huge and prices are very reasonable. The service was also very quick. It would be even better if the meat content in the food could be increased, even if the sizes themselves were reduced.

Worst rice noodles ever. It doesn't taste like traditional rice noodles. The menu kept getting wrong, so other tables besides ours had to wait twice as long for their food. The wait staff was really slow, so it was frustrating to the point where I wanted to go and work.

Small but nice Asian bistro with delicious curries and snacks for quick hunger pangs. The vegan selection is limited, but offers good options. The food was ready quickly and when the weather is good you can sit outside on the street. Since it is rather small, it is better suited for smaller groups. The staff was lovely, atmosphere was very friendly, cozy, and social. Location is near the university quarter. I personally wasn’t impressed with the food - something with the texture of the noodles didn’t hit right - but my friends both thought it was delicious.

Maybe because I’m Asian, but the Pho was pretty mid. Appreciated that they used chilli padi and all the appropriate herbs for the Pho though! Even though it was just 3 pieces of chilli, it was sufficiently satisfying. The soup could benefit from more dimensions. My husband got the curry - portion size was rather limited with not alot of curry to go with the rice. The staff was amiable. Not sure why the red lighting but definitely not a place I could stay for long due to the red lighting. Still, pleasant place for a quick meal! ✨

The pages of the menu was torn and dirty. I wasn’t sure what it was when I saw it. I was shocked. The cutlery was missing and the table wasn’t clean. The food was fine. Red curry was tasty but the Pho’s soup disappointed us.

The PhoYou🍜 is located near the Pinakothek and therefore in the middle of Maxvorstadt. It is easy to reach by tram. It's a small shop, the selection of seats is limited and the seats themselves are quite tight. We actually wanted the lunch menu, but unfortunately it was a holiday and that wasn't possible. After a short wait we were served and ordered the Spicy Tahini Noodles and the Yellow Curry Noodles, each with tofu. It took less than 10 minutes and the food was ready. The Spicy Tahini noodles had a pleasant spiciness and the sesame gave the whole thing a slightly nutty note. Unfortunately the tofu was a bit bland. But since the dish was relatively consistent overall, I turn a blind eye. I ate it too ;) The yellow curry noodles were beautifully presented with crunchy vegetables. Unfortunately, the tofu here wasn't very seasoned and the curry didn't blow my girlfriend and I away either. The spice was simply missing. Well, we were happy to have gotten a place and a hot meal at an acceptable price on this holiday. It wasn't the typical Pho, as the name suggests. I think the shop is still quite new and the dishes will be even better coordinated in the future and then we can imagine visiting again. To cash lovers: According to the signage, only card payments are possible.

I wasn't satisfied. I had a red curry with vegetables and tofu. There were exactly two small pieces of vegetables in it, some tofu and a boring coconut milk - the absolute opposite of a taste explosion. Service was somehow ok, but nothing more. The ambience is modern, card as a QR code that you can scan yourself. I wouldn't necessarily go there a second time.

We felt very comfortable! The atmosphere is cozy and at the same time modern and stylish. Our wishes were taken into account and we received very loving advice because my companion and I were undecided. The service was very warm and attentive. The prices are great and reasonable for Munich standards. Our food arrived in a flash and we found our dishes so tasty and fresh. The lemonade was also well prepared and very tasty. They serve soul food here and make sure you feel welcome! We'd love to come back. Thank you for the lovely evening. <3

You order pasta and receive rice - I accepted it anyway so that it doesn't have to be thrown away. Tasted ok.

Had Pho and another noodle dish. Unfortunately, portions were very small and the location was a bit cramped. But taste good.

I want to recommend it more but the food is not what I expected.

I ordered vegetarian tahini noodles with tofu as a topping. Among other things, there was a piece of chicken hidden between the tofu and the meager vegetables. For me as a vegetarian it was really a shock that I “had” to eat meat today. You can imagine what it's like in the kitchen when you can't even separate tofu and chicken. When I asked if I could please get my money back, I was only told to write a complaint email. By the way, no one apologized to me either. Absolutely not recommended for vegetarians and allergic people. Really a shame :(

The worst service given in Munich. Standing and sitting for 15 minutes without anyone asking anything. When I request to order I was asked to wait while the waiter is just doing something else. I see some other guests also wait for a while then go. I only recommend if you have forever to spend.

No idea why it has over 4 stars, the food doesn't taste like much to be honest, and the service was just planned. Some of the edamame is still cold (i.e. still from the freezer), the rice and meat in the teriyaki dish are simply dry. Maybe a bad day, but definitely far from a good Asian

The waiters are still very friendly. The taste of the beef noodles is hard to describe. The upper layer is a bit sweet and the lower layer is salty. The portion is not very large. If I wasn't starving, I wouldn't be able to eat. The best thing about the whole meal was the drink. . .

Wir waren wieder mal im PhoYou und enttäuscht. Wir essen sehr häufig Vietnamesisch und haben gute Vergleichsmöglichkeiten. Unsere erster Besuch letztes Jahr war ein Genuss, heute leider weniger. Die Sommerrollen bestanden nur, wirklich nur, aus Eisbergsalat und Karottenstreifen. Also quasi Eisbergrollen. Keine Nudeln, keinerlei Kräuter, kein Gemüse. Darauf angesprochen, sagte man uns, sie seien eben vegetarisch. Zurückgeben durften wir sie nicht. Ein komplett geschmackloses Erlebnis für je 5,50.- Die Hauptspeise war ok (nicht mehr) und sehr überschaubar von der Portionsgröße. Wir kommen nicht mehr. Nachtrag: das Restaurant hat diese Bewertung bei und von Google wegen "Verleumdung" angezeigt und entfernen lassen. Die Betreiber antworten nicht auf meine Mails mit der Bitte um eine Erklärung. Ohne Worte!

If you never had really good Pho, this place is quite decent. I think the broth is underperforming a bit, but the noodles and the chillies are on spot. I would also not really recommend the asian beef noodles here. The staff is friendly.

Very nice shop, I was there with 3 others, I like the atmosphere. I ordered the Pho Soup and found it very tasty, but only 4 stars because the other 3 dishes weren't that good, but maybe. just not our taste. Service was OK.

The starter and main course were both far too small, overpriced and extremely salty. It was really disappointing.

I can't really understand the many positive reviews. Food was ok, but far from authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The pho soup was a mix of miso soup (Japanese) and pho. In addition, bean sprouts were missing and the tofu was raw silken tofu. I've had much better Pho in Germany! In addition, the service was very slow and rather self-absorbed!

The place is nice and the service is good. But the food is mediocre at best, without any spice or flavor typical of the asian cuisine.

I ordered takeaway. Summer rolls were ok, though on the smaller side. Spring roll(singular!) was too expensive. It was a small portion, size was more the equivalent of 2 mini spring rolls for 6+ EUR... All in all, the food was ok. Won't order there again as price/quality ratio is a bit off.

Angefangen hat es damit das der Kellner uns darauf hinwies das er die Bestellung erst Nachher aufnehmen kann weil er jetzt noch eine Rauchen geht. War noch halb lustig. Spicy edamame waren Ok. Ich habe die Spicy Tahini noodles mit Tofu bestellt. Tofu war nicht gut hat nach garnichts geschmeckt. Meine Freundin hat Asian Beef noodles bestellt die haben null Asiatisch geschmeckt - Einfach Bolognese essen gehen für die Hälfte vom Preis. Da wir keine Pho Suppe hatten für die das Restaurant wohl bekannt ist kann nicht mehr sagen. War auf jeden Fall 40€ verschwendet :(
