Ein Restaurant wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Sehr gutes Essen, schneller, dezenter Service in angenehm ruhiger Atmosphäre.

Das Banyan ist immer eine gute Wahl für gutes vietnamesisches Essen. Wir waren dieses Mal hinten im Garten, der wirklich sehr schön ist. Der Service war wie immer prima, wir konnten sogar Schach spielen. Vielen Dank nochmals dafür.

Absolut empfehlenswert: Ente Pak Choi & Mango-Basil Ich war vor Kurzem im Banyan in der Goethestraße und bin restlos überzeugt! Wer in München authentische vietnamesische Küche in einem modernen, gehobenen Ambiente sucht, ist hier genau richtig. 🍜🥢 **Das Essen & die Drinks:** Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Ente mit Pak Choi. Die Ente war außen perfekt knusprig und innen saftig, der Pak Choi wunderbar knackig und die leichte Soja-Ingwer-Note gab dem Ganzen eine tolle Tiefe. Ein echtes Highlight! Passend dazu hatte ich den Mango-Basil-Drink. Er war extrem erfrischend, nicht zu süß und durch das frische Basilikum eine spannende, aromatische Abwechslung zu den klassischen Limonaden. 🦆🥭🌿 **Preis-Leistung:** Das Banyan liegt preislich im mittleren bis leicht gehobenen Segment (Hauptgerichte meist zwischen 15 € und 25 €), was für die gebotene Qualität in dieser Lage aber absolut fair und angemessen ist. Man merkt einfach, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten und viel Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet wird. Das Personal war sehr höflich, aber schwer zu verstehen. Wir mussten lange warten. Das Restaurant ist wunderschön und die meisten Gerichte waren gut, nur die Spieße nicht. Sowohl die Hähnchen- als auch die Garnelenspieße rochen verdorben und schmeckten auch so. Außerdem ist das Restaurant ziemlich teuer.

Allerbeste Nudelschale in der Stadt zu fairem Preis. Also Nachtisch unbedingt die Kokosnuss-Tapioka Perlen mit Banane 🥹 Das Ambiente ist relaxt nobel und man hat gleich Lust sich bisschen hübscher anzuziehen. Der Service ist zurückhaltend freundlich.

Hervorragendes Personal und noch besseres Essen. Als jemand, der früher in Saigon gelebt hat, hat mich das fast zu Tränen gerührt und meine Sehnsucht nach Vietnam noch verstärkt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Hier haben wir spannende neue Geschmacksrichtungen entdeckt, war super lecker.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und schon die Drinks und Vorspeisen (aus den Empfehlungen des Chefs) haben uns direkt voll überzeugt. Die Hauptgänge waren nicht weniger köstlich. Wir gehen öfter mal vietnamesisch essen. Das Banyan hat bisher alles getoppt.

Wir waren zu sechst hier zum Abendessen. Eigentlich ist das Essen lecker, aber ich muss leider zwei Sterne abziehen, da es im Lokal richtig kalt war. Außerdem hatte ich einige Kieselsteine in meinem Teller, an denen ich mir fast den Zahn abgebissen hätte. 😫 Meine Tischnachbarin, die dasselbe Gericht (thailändische Ente mit rotem Curry) bestellt hatte, fand ebenfalls Steine in der Soße. Wahrscheinlich beim Auswaschen der Salatblätter, die als Dekoration verwendet wurden. Der Kellner entschuldigte sich, aber wir werden erstmal nicht so schnell wiederkommen.

Mit einer der besten in dem ich gestern absolut lecker wir hatten Ente, Curry, Sommerrollen - kann ich alles nur empfehlen! Manchmal lohnt es sich auch einfach nicht bei der Garküche übern Lieferdienst zu bestellen, sondern in ein anständiges Restaurant zu gehen!

Köstlich! Ich hatte die knusprige Ente mit Erdnusssauce, sie war einfach fantastisch! 🤩 Wir konnten ohne Reservierung essen gehen! Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant! Das Gemüsecurry mit Tofu war köstlich und die Portion großzügig. Die gegrillte Ente war makellos; es war zwar viel, aber einfach fantastisch! Auch die Crème brûlée mit Ananasstücken war sehr gut. Das Restaurant ist zudem sehr schön und die Bedienung überaus hilfsbereit.

Wir waren am 18.01.26 zum ersten Mal vor Ort. Sehr nette Bedienung und ein schönes Restaurant. Salat mit Mango und Ente waren sehr gut. Hauptspeise Reisnudeln waren auch sehr lecker. Preis und Leistung passt. Viele freie Parkplätze vor der Tür. Wir kommen wieder. Alles bestens.

Schon seit vielen Jahren das Ziel unseres Weihnachtsessens! Das Essen ist immer gut! Der Service auch! Warum kommen wir: weil wir uns gut unterhalten können. Auch Parkplätze sind kein Problem. Dazu ein angemessenes Preisniveau!

Walked from the Munich Sofitel after advice from concierge, was tucked away from the main city centre, but still very busy on a Wednesday evening which is always a good sign. Food was excellent, they accommodated my vegan diet and the black sesame sorbet to finish off the meal was exceptional.

The value for money is unfortunately very poor. I ordered the giant prawns with rice and vegetables, but they weren't giant prawns at all, just regular ones, and there were only three in my entire dish. That's not justified at a price of €28.50.

Had the deep fried tofu and the veggie dumplings for firsts, for mains we had the curry duck and some veggie stir fry All of dishes taste were precise and they were cooked perfectly. We just walked around and walked in without a reservation, luckily they had a place for us. Very friendly staff, prompt and pleasantly reserved, yet friendly and cheerful. The food is truly incredibly delicious and plentiful, made with fresh ingredients. The price/performance ratio is fully justified. The interior is also high-quality and beautifully decorated, but the seating is a bit dark and crowded.

One of my all time favorite restaurants in Munich. I have been coming here for over 10 years with and without the family. Every and any dish is delicious and authentic. I’ve never been disappointed. The drinks (esp the cocktails and mocktails) are delicious as well. The owners and staff are attentive and lovely. The restaurant and garden have a wonderful aesthetic. Perfect for any occasion but make sure to make a reservation if you want to be sure to get a table. (Esp in the colder months or if you want to sit outside in the summer.) My advice on the deserts: the Vietnamese banana pudding and the mango sticky rice are the best. ;)

The three of us spent a wonderful evening on Friday on the beautiful terrace. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The service was excellent – attentive, warm, and pleasantly unobtrusive. As we left, I was able to take a quick look into the kitchen and was impressed: they were diligently cleaning there, and everything seemed very clean and hygienic. One small downside: The rosé wine unfortunately wasn't to my taste, and the price seemed rather high at €9 per glass. Overall, however, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening – thank you very much!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Even though it was pretty full, service was quick and efficient, and all staff spoke English so I had no issues. Generous portions and delicious Pho you must try if you happen to have the opportunity.

Absolutely fantastic, authentic Vietnamese food. The portions are quite large and really high quality. The service is very friendly and on a warm summer evening the garden in the restaurant's courtyard is a truly idyllic place to enjoy dinner.

The food is always very good, although portion sizes sometimes fluctuate. Service is usually quite unemotional, but we still enjoy coming back. The garden is also a lovely place to sit.

We've eaten at the Banyan several times over the past few years, and we've always been very satisfied. Yesterday, I had bad luck with my choice of aperitif; it just wasn't to my taste. The way the staff dealt with my dissatisfaction was absolutely commendable and very accommodating – they swapped my drink, and the waiter did so with a friendly smile. Simply outstanding service. Thank you so much! We'll be back!

A nice change from the normal German restaurant. Great location below street level in what looks like a residence. Staff was able to find us a table without a reservation on a Friday night at 8:30. Polite and patient staff coupled with great food, numerous options and great prices. Worth a visit.

I recently went there with a friend for lunch. We are both vegetarians and found the dishes to be very good. The rice dish with peanut base sauce was a delight. Although the place was quite busy, we were able to order nicely and quickly. The food was very good and we would gladly return.

Really absolutely fantastic food at relatively reasonable prices. However, asking for money for extra rice is extremely inappropriate. Politeness isn't really a priority either. The music was a bit inappropriate for the very nice interior and you shouldn't shout through the kitchen with such a target group. That could change so quickly (+ the map on Google Maps is not up to date).

A fantastic tasty restaurant. If Munich is a hotspot for quality Vietnamese cuisine, Banyan is one of the jewels in the crown. The menu is a collection of classic dishes prepared with care and taste. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy excellent Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant is also in a beautiful building, with serene decor.

Super tasty dishes with friendly staff

I was with my children today and we had a great time. Top ambience, top service and the food was simply recommended for every taste. Parking spaces aren't a problem either. It is also very easy to reach by public transport, about 3 minutes from the train station.

We reserved a table on Saturday evening at short notice and snagged one of the last available. The ambiance was immediately very pleasant, with pleasant colors and subdued lighting. In addition to Vietnamese classics, the menu also offers delicious and unusual cocktails. The food itself (glass noodle salad/Vietnamese spare ribs/Pho soup) was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a relaxed dining experience and great value for money!

Das in einem Souterrain gelegene Lokal bietet dem Gast ein etwas umfangreicheres Speisenangebot als die üblichen Vietnamesen in München. Service und Qualität/Frische der Speisen sind sehr gut, wenn auch der Genuss der Speisen keine unauslöschliche Gourmeterfahrung auslöst. Das Preis-/leistungsverhältnis würde ich als angemessen bezeichnen (Stand: März 2025).

Wichtig für mich sind bei einem Restaurant die angebotenen Speisen und Getränke. Und hier stimmt die Qualität und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Auch der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Die Räume sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. An einem Dienstagabend sehr gut besucht. Ich habe den letzten freien Platz bekommen, ohne Reservierung, die ich allerdings dringend empfehle. Auf meine Wünsche wurde unverzüglich reagiert und frisch geschnittene Chilischoten nachgereicht. Große Auswahl an diversen Getränken, gute Weinauswahl. Insgesamt eine angenehme Erfahrung. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung.

The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Very busy on a Tuesday evening. I got the last available place, without a reservation, which I strongly recommend. My requests were responded to immediately and freshly cut chili peppers were added. Large selection of various drinks, good wine selection. Overall a pleasant experience. Very clear recommendation.

I had dinner here yesterday. The food itself was very tasty, unfortunately I had a large piece of plastic in my food. The waitress apologized and that was it 😅 For this price and the risk of almost choking, I would have expected a little more. The whole table was shocked!

Banyan is a fantastic restaurant in terms of food quality, atmosphere and service. I‘ve been there many times, tried many dishes and always enjoyed it. Tip for coffee livers: have the „Vietnamese coffee“ (and be patient, it takes a few minutes until it has dripped through the filter).

Excellent Vietnamese eatery. The main course specialties are delicious. Very good white wines, also from Austria. I only found the crispy squid in the starters to be less imaginatively prepared compared to the other dishes. Everything else is top class!

Gleichbleibend gute Qualität im Restaurant BANYAN seit Jahren. Immer wieder gut sind die Summer Rolls zum selber rollen aber auch die Ente mit Pok choi Gemüse, Knoblauch und Soja Sauce ist sehr gut. Dazu besonders leckere Cocktails. Immer wieder ein gelungener Abend.
