The food was good, but didn't quite live up to the price. Despite the busy evening, the staff was patient and friendly (we had a small child with us).

I loved my visit to this restaurant, the food was delicious and the staff very attentive. Lovely, romantic and quiet atmosphere in the garden. Would recommend!

A great find and definitely worth a visit. Delicious dinner outside in a walled garden. A nice change if beer and sausage not your thing. The food was fresh, fragrant and beautifully presented with style. We loved the mixed starters, Bun and Crispy Duck.

Gleichbleibend gute Qualität im Restaurant BANYAN seit Jahren. Immer wieder gut sind die Summer Rolls zum selber rollen aber auch die Ente mit Pok choi Gemüse, Knoblauch und Soja Sauce ist sehr gut. Dazu besonders leckere Cocktails. Immer wieder ein gelungener Abend.

Schönes Ambiente außen im Hof und sehr freundlicher Service. Essen 08/15 und sehr Convenience-lastig. Schien nicht hausgemacht - auch die Soßen nicht.

Asians are placed in the corners, and Westerners who arrive later than Asians are guided to the center seats. The bean sprouts that came with the rice noodles looked very wilted and old.

Das Lokal hat eine nette Patina bekommen, heute Abend stimmte das Wetter und der nette Hof war aufgesperrt. Die Küche wie gehabt : super gschmackiges Viet Namesisches Essen. Daß die Auswahl an Deutschen Weinen hier attraktiver ist als in gewissen Lokalen in Koblenz, wo die Mosel in den Rhein fließt, ehrt das Banyan. Total charmante und professionelle Bedienung, sehr bald wieder !

I am sure the Pho is great but if you can’t be bothered to keep your opening times up to date you’re going to get a 1 star!

Top food and friendly service, sometimes longer waiting times but these are compensated for with impeccable products. Cozy atmosphere, also suitable for a special occasion. What is also special is the exceptionally large and diverse selection of dishes. All in all, nothing to complain about.

Very good food of top quality. Very authentic Vietnamese food. Rarely eaten so well. A little more expensive but it was worth the money.

There are few restaurants in Munich that have consistently delivered good quality for years. The food is always high quality and tasty, the service is calm and courteous, and the ambience is simple and cozy. People like to stay seated longer and they are allowed to do so (unlike many other restaurants in Munich). an authentic VN restaurant - i knew i was in the right place for pho bo when the waitress brought out fresh herbs traditionally served along pho bo like basil and cilantro (rau que and ngo gai). the broth had the right flavor and well balanced (hard to achieve with pho). the chicken noodle (pho ga) however was lacking the ginger undertone so was sub-par. the grilled beef wrapped in heart leave (bo nuong la lot) was flavorful but a bit lean and dry - need to use more fatty ground beef. the dipping sauce (nuoc mam ot)was spot on

One of the best Vietnamese we know in Munich. Beautiful garden behind the restaurant, the inside is also very stylish. The food was consistently impeccable and tasted great. Definitely worth a visit and recommended.

On a Thursday all the tables were full. Good thing we made a reservation. The service is unspectacular and very pleasant. Well-kept interior in Asian style invites you to linger. The menu does what it promises and every course is simply delicious.

In my opinion, Banyan is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Munich. The actual restaurant is in the basement and offers a homely atmosphere. But it's especially nice to sit in the quiet courtyard in summer. The menu impresses with its diversity and the flavors of the individual dishes are consistently excellent. The prices are slightly high, but they are in good proportion to the high quality of the dishes. There is also plenty on offer for vegetarians. For fans of Vietnamese cuisine or those who want to become one, Banyan is a clear recommendation.

A really great restaurant with exemplary service - food is well presented, the taste of our main courses is sensational, portions are more than sufficient (small deduction for the fried squid, which unfortunately wasn't convincing compared to the other dishes) Great service team - everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Small deduction for the ambience - it was very cold coming in from the entrance area, which meant that the restaurant was initially very cold until it was full and reservations have to be made by email, which works very well and quickly, but is within the scope of the technical possibilities available Can be solved with less effort for guests and team. We were there again with friends. The food always tastes very good here. The atmosphere is also very nice and the staff is very accommodating. They even bring your jackets from the cloakroom, which is a nice, unusual little extra.

We ate here for the first time today. The service staff was friendly and attentive. The ambience was nice, although the room was a bit cool. Despite the winter, there was obviously hardly any heating, so many guests initially kept their winter jackets on. We have often eaten at good Vietnamese restaurants and in Vietnam. My dish at Banyan (shrimp and vegetables with rice) was anything but typical local fare: very salty, thick sauce (I can't confirm whether glutamate is used, but I would guess so), unfortunately not the fresh sauce that is so important in Vietnamese cuisine Herbs, but above all extremely over-seasoned overall. Munich has many less well-known but much more authentic Vietnamese restaurants, where we found a more reasonable price-performance ratio.

So the Banyan is still highly rated and I have been going to the Banyan regularly for years but: The place was cold, people had to keep their jackets on. The service was a bit chaotic and the food was no longer at the level of previous years. In terms of taste, everything was very “neutral”, overall ok but not a delight for the palate. Prices are now definitely on the higher side.

La comida esperaba que sería mejor, los entrantes solo me gustó el rollito de verano clásico. El resto no se veía de mucha calidad. Pedimos un bol de fideos con pato frito y nos trajeron un plato sin nada de cocina, solo fideos con pato encima tal cual, muy pobre para el precio que tiene no lo vale. 70€ una cena de un entrante y un plato para dos personas. Excesivo

Super lecker und ausgezeichnet! Am besten vorher reservieren. Allerdings muss ich leider einen Stern abziehen, da es richtig kalt war. Wir mussten teilweise unsere Jacken anlassen, und so macht Essen leider keinen Spaß.

Das Ambiente ist ansprechend und das Essen sehr lecker. Vor allem der Nachtisch (Klebereis mit Mango) war sehr lecker. Der Service war an dem Abend ein bisschen chaotisch. Es war aber alles in allem ein schöner Abend. Ich komme gerne, bei Gelegenheit, wieder vorbei.

We hebben een super leuke avond gehad. Lieve mensen, erg mooi en sfeervol ingericht en heerlijk Viatnamees eten. Ondanks dat we geen reservering hadden werd er een plekje voor ons gemaakt. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid!

Service war etwas fordernd in Richtung schneller Abfertigung. Das führt auch zum Abzug beim Ambiente.

Leckeres Essen in schönem & schicken Ambiente. Kein Asien-Streetfood-Flair. Gehobene Preise, aber Preis-Leistung bzw Portionagröße war ok. Knackiges und frisches Gemüse, große Auswahl an tollen Speisen und für jeden Geschmack und Essenstyp was dabei. Ein Tiger-Bier zum Curry und die Südostasien-Sehnsucht lebt wieder auf...

Preisleistung hinkt leider komplett. Die Fleischstücke in der Bun kann man an einer Hand abzählen - sehr sehr enttäuschend. Auch bei den Spezialitäten des Hauses sollte man keinen Hunger mitnehmen- mini Portionen, maxi Preise.

Manchmal ist es auch schön, asiatische Küche in feinerem Ambiente genießen zu können. Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Stimmung angenehm und der Service schnell und aufmerksam. Ich liebe einfache Asia-Imbisse mit authentischer Küche, aber so darf es auch manchmal sein. Die Preise sind verhältnismäßig fair und angemessen.

Service sehr schnell und unglaublich freundlich, Essen unglaublich gut, Restaurant hat ein schönes Ambiente. Perfekte Location für einen besonderen Anlass. Preislich etwas teurer als der Münchner Durchschnitt.

Schönes Vietnamesisches Restaurant im Souterrain. Hinten kleiner Garten zum draußen sitzen. Tische etwas eng gestellt. Essensauswahl gut, allerdings 4 oder 5 verschiedene Soßen und dann halt Veggie- alle Fleischsorten in jeweiliger Soße. Gerichte sind aber lecker, ich liebe das Som Tam, Cocktails sind auch lecker. Preislich schon eher etwas gehoben. Service teilweise etwas unfreundlich.

Es gibt absolut nichts negatives über diesen Ort zu sagen, also unbedingt ausprobieren!

The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed the coconut soup, the spring rolls, two different prawn dishes, and the stir-fried beef. All were excellent. We also enjoyed the cocktails!

So lecker habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen! Tolle Aperitifs, die besten Summerrolls seit langem, eine große Auswahl an Hauptspeisen und auch erfrischende alkoholfreie Cocktails! Man kann schön im Innenhof sitzen. Der Service ist freundlich und höflich. Man muss nicht lange auf das Essen warten.

Die Einrichtung ist eher durchschnittlich, dafür ist essen lecker und der Service gut. Die Portionen sind sehr groß. Drei Gänge kann man nicht schaffen.

Das Banyan war immer mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant für asiatisches essen - jetzt ist es nicht mehr so gut wie es mal war. Qualität der Speisen und der Service haben deutlich nachgelassen.
