Simply the best. We come from Mönchengladbach. Recommended by relatives living there. We drove over 4000km through Europe and nowhere else have we eaten such delicious pizza in such a wonderful atmosphere!
Large, generously topped, simply delicious! You can watch the baker at work or have a chat with Evi. We are already looking forward to our next visit this year!!!
A charming, rustic, and very cozy restaurant. Good location with plenty of parking. I was here many years ago. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. We'll definitely be back. 😊
The food was generally good and technically well-prepared. The ambition to cook at a high level, working with intensity, contrasts, and refinement, is clearly evident. However, not everything quite succeeds: at times, the flavors seemed somewhat unbalanced or aspired to more than they could ultimately deliver. The ambition is there – but the result doesn't consistently reach this level.
The service was inconsistent: sometimes friendly and attentive, at other times inattentive or unavailable. This is particularly noticeable in a restaurant with this level of ambition and price point.
The prices are significantly too high for Nuremberg. Compared to Switzerland, where we regularly dine at a similar culinary level, the value for money is only partially justified – especially in combination with the inconsistent service.
In conclusion: A lot of ambition, high aspirations, and good food – but not everything comes together seamlessly. With greater precision in the kitchen, more consistent service, and an adjusted price point, there is significantly more potential.
Delicious food, great selection. The atmosphere was a bit chilly, and unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try the beer garden.
The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The happy hour for cocktails was fantastic. We were there with our dog, and he was very well looked after.
Very welcoming and the food tastes like Greek home cooking. Simply fantastic! I highly recommend it.
We wish the owner and his team all the best for the future! Keep up the great work! You're doing a fantastic job!
We'll definitely be back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Our visit to Le Refuge on Christmas Day was unfortunately a huge disappointment! The food was presented without any care and lacked any finesse. The grumpy owner took our order wordlessly, with an unfriendly look, and then even made a mistake, so that one dish was missing from our main course, which we only noticed when it was served. It arrived considerably late and, accordingly, hastily prepared. Meanwhile, the owner spent the entire evening at length with a few obvious regulars. The earnest friendliness of our waiter couldn't disguise the feeling that we weren't really welcome in this establishment. When an owner doesn't even bid his guests farewell with a friendly "Merci," let alone a "Joyeux Noël," in his sparsely populated restaurant (on Christmas Day!), but only manages a short and reluctant "Au Revoir" before immediately turning his attention back to his regulars, then he truly deserves a correspondingly low rating. We certainly won't be returning to such a poorly run establishment with its exorbitant prices (for what, exactly?). There are far too many better and, above all, friendlier alternatives in our neighborhood!
Very nice; upon arrival, they took our jackets and hung them up in the cloakroom automatically. The service was also very friendly and everything was very quick. They folded my napkin and placed it on my table. The food itself was also superb and very delicious.
The meat was tender yet crispy, simply perfect. The flavor was very pleasant. I would definitely come back here. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian or Thai food.
Restaurant: The food was delicious and the service friendly. Fair prices, rustic but pleasant atmosphere. The side salad was the only thing we didn't enjoy so much. The pork shoulder was fantastic!
