Loosgarten in Nürnberg

So far, the best Greek restaurant I've tried in Nuremberg. The food is absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is excellent, and the restaurant is beautifully designed. I especially recommend the gyros at Metaxa—what am I saying? 😅

We were here because of the Franconian ranking, where Loosgarten came in first place. I honestly don't know how that came about. The ambiance is nice, but the food and service were below average. There were two of us. One meal was delivered incorrectly and then took another 15 minutes. The gyros in Metaxa sauce... okay. The gyros were cut much too thick, making them too greasy and sometimes tough. The Metaxa sauce was basically just oil. The fries were okay. More than three stars would be too much, and first place in the ranking is definitely exaggerated. There are much better Greek restaurants in Nuremberg and the surrounding area.

Great outdoor seating, especially on warm summer nights. Friendly staff and the food was great.

Beautiful new restaurant, tasty food, very friendly service

Rest in peace, dear Paul. With the demise of Loosgarten, more than just a pub has disappeared. Here, people laughed, celebrated, cried, mourned, shared their joy, and, of course, drank... Paul always had the right saying. The atmosphere of this pub was unique, just like its owner. I am very sad and still often think of the wonderful moments there and of Paul.

Cool place, and the prices are affordable for me. I had Souvraki and gyros, the delicacies are delicious

In my opinion, the Loosgarten is the best Greek restaurant far and wide. Great food, very good value for money and the service is always nice.

Attentive, friendly service, quick and careful in dealing with guests. Good quality food and sufficient portions. Prices are reasonable but not cheap. Overall, recommended and would be happy to come back as a guest.

Were here for the first time yesterday, as a couple with a dog. We were lucky and got a place on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Dogs are very welcome here. Guests too. We ordered 2x starters (saganaki & stuffed grape leaves - dolmadakia), 1x mix platter for 2 people and 2x dessert (kadaifi & galaktoboureko). In short: we have never eaten Greek food so well. You can see the passion in the dishes and the way you treat guests. The meat was perfect, juicy and tender (never had such good gyros), seafood was fresh; Homemade starters and desserts and simply a dream! About the service: Great! Fresh towels were served straight after the main course, a rare experience like this. About the restaurant: Lovingly furnished, you feel welcome with a cozy flair and classic ambience. The sanitary facilities are tip top - and beautifully designed. Parking spaces should be found on the streets next door. We didn't have any problems there. You can describe it as a 10/10 experience to eat here. We'll happily drive an hour here again, we've now found our new favorite Greek.

The food was very good. The service is rather below average. Wrong drink brought, then had to request the bill three times. After about half an hour the bill arrived. The two portions that we ordered to take away were now cold, but we were charged about €20 (4 drinks) too much. If it wasn't intentional (which I assume), then you should rethink the billing system or better concentrate on work. I'm sorry, but I don't need that again.

For me the best Greek in Nuremberg and the surrounding area. I always come here from Eckental to enjoy the delicious food here. After my various vacations in Greece, I can say that this is where the taste comes closest. I'm looking forward to the next visits!

I always like to eat there and my girlfriend also likes it there very much. My favorite is the gyros in metaxa sauce 💯

Unfortunately the food I ordered was forgotten. It came quickly, but unfortunately with lukewarm fries. Overall, the place is far too loud and too crowded for me. Parking situation for cars is also not good.

Friendly service, very good food, nice atmosphere

We celebrated our Christmas party (approx. 70 people) here, the food had to be specified when making the reservation, so far so good. When my son also had a party on the same day, I indicated that I would come later, about an hour later. When I arrived, my food was already on the table and of course cold, even though other colleagues were still waiting for their food. Personally, I was very upset when you ordered a plate for around €20 and the waiter didn't care whether it was cold or not. Sorry, that doesn't work at all...

Ich war gestern mit meiner Familie neun Personen zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sehr vorkommend. Meine Familie hat verschiedene Essenssorten bestellt von der Speisekarte. Es waren sehr schön auf den Teller serviert und waren sehr sehr lecker. Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit den Restaurant und würden jeden wärmstens empfehlen und danke den Küchenchef oder Chefin, die das ganze sehr schön hergerichtet hat. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Familie. A. Nur weil auf der Karte ein Beilagensalat ohne Fleisch steht, ist das Restaurant noch lange nicht für Vegetarier geeignet. Im Prinzip gibt es hier ausschließlich Fleisch. Wer das mag, dem sei's empfohlen. Aber für Vegetarier (wie hier auf Tripadvisor beworben) ist es nichts.

Was visiting Nuremberg and visited the restaurant. You would receive a very warm welcome. The food was very tasty and the price was also great. After I had finished eating and told the waiter that I had never had the dish in Hamburg and had never found it on a menu anywhere. I got an ingredient to cook at home. I found it very, very nice. The service and how you are looked after as a guest is also good. Next time I'm in Nuremberg I'll definitely come back.

Been coming here for years. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is one of the best in Nuremberg for a Greek. There should be a little more tzatziki in the dishes, otherwise everything is good and of course the obligatory ouzo is never missing. You can now also sit under cover outside. Not necessarily suitable for vegetarians.

On the recommendation of a friend, we had arranged a dinner together for the three of us in the Loosgarten and made reservations for it (possible online, quick response!). The ambience in the Loosgarten is very pleasant and appears to be of high quality. We received a very friendly welcome and were served very quickly. Special requests regarding the food were accepted and carried out without complaint - really very customer-oriented! We enjoyed it very much and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. The prices are fair and completely acceptable. The menu has a very large selection of Greek dishes as well as Franconian and German dishes (e.g. schnitzel). We will definitely come back to the Loosgarten and recommend it to all friends of good Greek cuisine!

Starter (Tsatziki) was average. Gyros were very tasty, fries could have used salt, souvlaki were dry but the fried calamari was top.
