Delphi in Nürnberg

Excellent Greek cuisine and an unusually well-stocked menu, along with an extensive wine list from renowned Greek producers. Even a "simple" dish like gyros comes to the table perfectly prepared, crispy and juicy, and beautifully presented. I really appreciate the lamb specialties, but I prefer to order two or three appetizers—there's so much to try! Thank you so much for a very pleasant evening, as always!

Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere and service! I celebrated my birthday there and the waiters were so kind to congratulate me, bring a vase for my flowers, give us free shots and even gave me a little gift when I was leaving. Would hugely recommend, especially for special occasions, the atmosphere is magical. Will definitely be going back!

The quality of the food is good, the service staff is very attentive. Prices are relatively high. The restaurant's good impression is completely ruined by the condition of the restrooms. One was broken, the second was clogged, and the third had the door lock taped shut. Absolutely abysmal, and the staff's reaction to a corresponding warning: a disinterested shrug.

The food was so delicious! I enjoyed a delicious tomato soup as a starter. Then I opted for the beef liver with potatoes and caramelized onions, perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. It was paired with a lovely glass of wine. The portions were generous, more than enough... I'm still full! Highly recommended. Are you in Nuremberg? Definitely eat here! It's also a very clean and beautifully decorated restaurant with incredibly friendly service.

I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

I have to admit that on the evening we visited, the service left much to be desired. The waiters—all men—seemed rushed and not particularly friendly. Our request to take the leftovers wasn’t well received, and declining the ouzo was met with confusion. Overall, we didn’t feel truly welcome. That said, the food was very tasty, reasonably priced, and the ambiance was beautiful—you walk downstairs into a charming, inviting space. Unfortunately, despite the lovely setting, we’re unlikely to return.

Today was the second disappointment in a short space of time. There was no white bread for the tzatziki, and the advertised vegetables consisted of just one thin slice of broccoli. And the days of house ouzo seem to be over here. I've been a guest at Delphi for many years (including family celebrations), as the food is undoubtedly good. But unfortunately, the value for money is no longer there.

Went here for the first time today and had to chuckle a little at the previous review, which must have been in the restaurant an hour before us... The food made us feel like we were in Greece. Greek salad, garlic bread, and a meat platter with tzatziki. White bread was served on the house. We also had ouzo before and after the meal. We've never experienced such hospitality in Germany before. Every single server was attentive and very friendly. If we're ever in Nuremberg again, we'll definitely go back to this restaurant. We've been to Greece several times and have also visited many Greek restaurants in Germany. Delphi was phenomenal!! The waiter, Niko, had such a warm demeanor that we felt very comfortable from the very beginning. The house ouzo was a great starter for the appetizer. We had the warm appetizer plate for two, which is highly recommended; everything was fresh, tasted absolutely amazing, and nothing out of a packet. With a delicious red wine, we were already looking forward to the main course. We had gyros with homemade pita (very tasty), farmer's salad, tzatziki, and a plate of fries. I would have liked the fries to be a bit crispier, but that's not meant as a complaint. The main course was truly delicious. The portions were large and certainly filling. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right and okay. If we're ever in Nuremberg again, we'll definitely come back. Many thanks again to the entire Delphi team.

We went there for dinner with a large group, and every single person was absolutely thrilled. We've never had such good Greek food (outside of Greece ;))! Simply sensational. All the dishes arrived at the same time and tasted outstanding. What's more, you feel incredibly comfortable there because you're so well looked after. Pure hospitality! The ambiance is also very stylish. All in all, truly one of the most beautiful restaurant visits ever. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have eaten there many times with my wife and the food is really delicious. Prices are affordable. The only downside is that the restaurant is in the basement and one of the waiters was impatient and rude. We wanted to look at the menu in peace first, but he came straight to take the order and when we said we wanted to look a little more, he made a face. His reaction was similar when we later requested a small change to the main courses.

Amazing Greek restaurant in the middle of Nuremberg. All the food is good, definitely try their tzatziki. The service was fantastic. Andreas and Sotiris did a fantastic job. They speak Greek as well so you know it’s authentic.

We visited this restaurant after my brother’s wedding, hoping for a pleasant meal. Since the kids had a long day and were very hungry, we wanted to order their food first. However, our experience with the staff was disappointing from the start. Two male waiters were serving us. When one of them first approached our table and asked if we were ready to order, I replied that we were. He abruptly gestured with his hand, signaling “not now,” and walked away. About ten minutes later, he returned and, instead of being courteous, rudely insisted that we only order starters. Because we don’t speak German, we had written the dish numbers on our phone to make ordering easier. When I showed him the numbers, he dismissed us with a rude comment: “What is that?” Later, when the kids finished their meals and wanted to order more, I asked for the same dishes again. The waiter responded, “That’s too much for them,” as if he knew better than we did what our children wanted. Given the small portion sizes and the high prices, the experience was not worth it at all. The service was so poor that I would give it zero stars if possible. There was also an incident when my daughter (4 years old) needed to use the restroom. Because of the type of dress she was wearing, my wife and I both accompanied her to help. I stood just at the entrance of the women’s restroom, half in and half out, ready to assist if needed, but I did not go inside. After about two minutes, one of the waiters approached me in a very rude manner and told me I shouldn’t be there, claiming that someone else wanted to enter but couldn’t. I immediately responded, “Of course,” and let my wife assist our daughter while I stepped aside. Throughout our visit, the main waiter’s attitude and language were consistently unprofessional and discourteous-especially disappointing for a restaurant that charges 23 euros for a small portion of calamari. The level of service simply did not match the prices or expectations for such an establishment. Even if the food were free, I would not return to this restaurant.

This is our second time here. The first visit we were a large group for my husband's birthday. There were also children here. The service is very fast and always extremely friendly! The food was delicious, fresh and a large portion each. The prices are absolutely reasonable and fair! Great atmosphere, everything very hygienic. Este es un hermoso restaurante, pero la comida supera la gran decoración. Absolutamente los mejores dolmades de mi vida, y me gusta enorgullecerme de ser un conocedor de ese plato. Gran sopa de pollo y luego pechuga de pollo para mi esposa, y gambas sobresalientes para mí. Decidimos saborear la notable ensalada griega como nuestro postre, y no nos arrepentimos de la decisión. También adoré el mejor vino Retsina que he probado fuera de Grecia. Y el servicio era profesional; amable y muy servicial, pero no en el camino. Una velada fabulosa, que repetiré con mucho gusto lo antes posible.

I'm rudely asked for more tips and I'm looked at insultingly, I don't think anyone is obliged to give a tip, and I have this (€30) but it's apparently too little... a tip without being taxed? Suspicion of tax evasion!!!

Excellent, classy restaurant, excellent dishes and discreet, at least rapid, service. Tired of the usual German cuisine, this is a valid alternative, well-made Mediterranean cuisine. The only note perhaps is the venue, although beautiful, is still underground, not exactly ideal. But it's worth it, we'll be back. A little expensive, but in Nuremberg all restaurants are expensive.....

The best Greek food in Nuremberg and the surrounding area 😁! I'm always happy when I'm in Nuremberg and can go out to eat there. Dolmades as a starter, or grilled octopus - together with a glass of Prosecco will set the mood💗. Gyros with pita as the main course is simply gigantic! But I've tried almost everything on the menu over the years and it never disappoints.

The Delphi not only impresses with its upscale atmosphere, but also with excellent service and authentic Greek cuisine. As soon as you enter, you are warmly greeted with a handshake, which immediately creates a personal and pleasant atmosphere. The service is first class attentive, friendly and professional. The dishes are of high quality, lovingly prepared and taste a real highlight. If you want to enjoy an evening with excellent food in a stylish ambience, this is the right place for you!

First of all, here is the best calamari I have eaten to date. Delicious breading and the meat is not rubbery but tasty and tender. 🫶 The other dishes including dessert were also very tasty. The service impresses with its friendliness and a high level of attentiveness, but we found it rather annoying and almost strange that someone came every few minutes and cleared away a single empty plate or glass. Here it is better to clear all the guests at the table together. The ambience is pleasantly dim in a basement. I think it's surprisingly quiet there and you hardly notice the other guests. Although the restaurant was full when we visited, we only noticed this when we left. Overall, a lovely evening with the family in a wonderful restaurant. Another positive thing I would like to mention is that a family at the next table had a larger dog with them, so this doesn't seem to be a problem here either. 🐕👍

Top Greek restaurant in Nuremberg. We discovered it last year by chance and went back the second year too. Really excellent food and a wide menu offering. The only flaw is that the waiters are slightly intrusive; they clear the table almost with a bite in their mouth. Elegant location and excellent atmosphere. We had appetizers and then lamb, moussaka (exceptional) and other dishes. I recommend not eating the usual shank in German restaurants.👌

One night we found ourselves in Nuremberg and we were lucky to find this restaurant by chance! We went without a reservation and the staff was very kind and happy to help us and find us a table! We ate grilled feta cheese, pleurotus mushrooms, garlic bread, pumpkin meatballs, and beef steaks.. What we ate was excellent and very tasty. Normal prices and kind staff.. I will definitely go again!!

We visited this restaurant as a group and overall had a mixed experience. The kitchen offers high-quality Mediterranean dishes that really impress in terms of taste. Everyone in our group was happy with their meal, and the quality matched the upscale prices we expected. I had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant and was not disappointed with the food. However, the service was a big disappointment. The waiters were unfriendly and rude, which didn't fit at all with the upscale image of the restaurant and the quality of the food. Beer mats are thrown on the table like in a beer garden. One situation that struck me as particularly negative was when I asked for milk in addition to my drink. The waiter reacted disproportionately harshly and told me loudly that there was no milk. My Greek friend then politely asked again in his native language because the drinks menu offered cappuccino - so there had to be milk. But here too the waiter remained unfriendly and just repeated: “No, we don’t.” Five minutes later he suddenly stood next to me wordlessly and asked without context: “Hot or cold?” The whole interaction was unpleasant and in a restaurant of this class completely inappropriate. Another point of criticism was the “yoghurt with honey and walnuts”. In the menu it was described as “our fine drained yoghurt”, which wasn’t clear enough for me. When ordering, I asked about the portion size and the waiter mentioned “Greek yogurt.” I then assumed that it was the typical, creamy Greek yogurt that you would find in other Greek restaurants. Instead I got a normal yoghurt like from the supermarket, which didn't convince me in terms of consistency or taste or was reminiscent of Greek yoghurt - and that for €7.50. A clearer name in the menu or a better explanation from the waiter would have been helpful here. Last: My friend had pumpkin soup that was too salty for her. However, the seasoning was appropriate for the other dishes in the group. Overall, the food was convincing, but the service and the price-performance ratio of some dishes severely spoiled the overall impression. Otherwise the decoration and other food was really very good. Maybe the Kellerns just had a stressful day!?

Wir waren hier zum Weihnachtsessen mit der Firma. Unauffälliges Restaurant von außen. Das eigentliche Restaurant liegt in der unteren Etage. Sehr schöne aufgeteilt und die einzelnen Bereiche mit Spiegeln optisch vergrößert…. Obwohl das Lokal bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt war, war der Service und auch das Essen top. Sehr aufmerksam, freundlich, diskret - nicht aufdringlich oder gestresst. Wunderbar!

My parents and I have come to this place since I was a teenager and now I continue this tradition with my family; overall approx. 40 years. There might have been a change in ownership after the pandemic but the food and service is great as always. We will be back.

We only ended up here by chance because our navigation system wanted to show us Nuremberg. But we were attracted by the very inviting restaurant. Like apparently many others. Nevertheless, the very nice service staff managed to find a place for us. The waiting time was shortened with a pilavas. The food that awaited us afterwards was brilliant. I had a lamb shank that was so tender that you could have eaten it without cutlery. This restaurant is absolutely recommended!

This time I was invited to dinner at lunchtime. The menu was definitely sufficiently stocked. I chose Kritharaki with minced meat and cheese. An excellent choice, as it turned out. The portion was more than enough for a lunch menu and the taste was excellent. Gladly again! And this time too... the restaurant was filled to capacity. The food was excellent.
