I thought I had already found the best pizzeria in Würzburg - until I got here! We absolutely loved this restaurant, which has been family-run for over 20 years. There were four of us there and the ambience and food are authentically Italian. Our order consisted of: Linguine Scampi, Grilled Gamberoni with Salad, Saltimbocca alla Romana, Pasta con Salsiccia and Pizza Parma. A few of the comments from our group: “Really cool, simply delicious!”, “Very good!”, “Buonissimo, come della nonna!”, and “Perfetto!”. I personally had the pizza and I have to say: it was perfect! Not too much dough, light and exactly how you want a good pizza. A real insider tip is – as so often – the Vino Rosso della Casa. The selection of dishes is very extensive, and in addition to the standard menu, there is a large daily menu with changing dishes. For dessert we all had tiramisu – light, fluffy and the perfect end to our meal. A small note: You should definitely make a reservation for the weekend as the restaurant is quite small. We tried it spontaneously the day before and unfortunately didn't get a seat. However, a few points could be improved: The atmosphere could be a little more modern, and the food disposal (toilets) in the basement wasn't quite as clean. In addition, the restaurant is not barrier-free, which could be problematic for people with disabilities. What should be highlighted positively is that card payments are accepted. All in all, a real insider tip for anyone who wants to eat authentically Italian food!

Grazie mille! We reserved a table for New Year's Eve and couldn't have imagined it better. The atmosphere is really cozy, the staff is super competent and very attentive. The quality of the food was phenomenal. You can tell how much the staff loves doing what they love. It was our first time there and we will definitely come back more often. Thank you very much for the great start to the last evening of the year!

Highly recommended. The food always tastes delicious and the guests' wishes are taken into account. The staff gives you very friendly and competent advice on the dishes. It is a small but very cozy restaurant. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the volume when the restaurant is full. The Loakl definitely deserves five stars.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about this trattoria.☝🏼 I think I was very lucky as an individual to get a seat in this trattoria without a reservation. On a Thursday evening around 6 p.m. it still seemed very empty, but during my one-hour stay, almost all of the tables (25-30 seats in total) filled with guests who had reserved. Guests without reservations also had to be turned away during this time.🤷🏼‍♂️ The food (tomato soup and spaghetti with scampi) was of excellent quality and the recommended red wine left nothing to be desired.😍 An Italian coffee rounded off this culinary evening, so I made my way to the hotel in a great mood.

Ein kleines Lokal mit einer sehr schönen Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr gut, sowohl Pasta,Gnocchi wie auch die Pizza und das Brot. Dazu die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen vergleichsweise preiswert. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder! Ein kleiner Abzug für die schlechte Erreichbarkeit bei der telefonischen Reservierung aber es ist dort viel los.

Reservations should definitely be made! Depending on how hungry you are, you should order a starter or dessert! I recommend the appetizer though! The food is of good quality, for very good, it's lacking a little! Nevertheless, Lugana is a recommendation, but not an insider tip. The service is very hospitable and you sit in a classic Italian atmosphere!

Wat een top restaurant! Hier wordt met liefde gekookt. We hadden de geroosterde sardientjes vooraf en de spaghetti vongole en de ravioli. Geoon zoals het hoort, helemaal goed. Glas primitivo erbij. Zo maak je een mens gelukkig. Als dessert de creme brulee ( jammie jammie) mooi in een bord. En de profiteroles. Geen eterige soezen, maar mooie liefdevolle soesjes. Doe jezelf een lol en ga hier lekker genieten.

We absolutely loved this place! I had fish and it was one of the best meals I had in the month I’ve been in Germany. The owner/chef is really fun and his daughter is hilarious. We had such a good time. Great location too.

Definitely my Italian in Würzburg. It is very small but also very comfortable. I usually call ahead and ask if something is available. With a bit of luck you can also get a spot spontaneously. There is someone in the kitchen who knows exactly how to cook. All ingredients are always fresh and you can taste it. Pizza, pasta doesn't matter, everything tastes good. Especially the tuna steak! The service is also good. Everyone is friendly and always attentive. I've been a guest at this restaurant for a long time and the quality is always consistently very good. See for yourself! Bon appetit 😋

Really shocked at the 4.6 stars. I have rarely experienced such bland and run-of-the-mill food. We had to add a big portion of salt everywhere and unfortunately it was really underground. Service was good but still needed some attention. But doesn't try to provide a good overview and when you return the dry noodles without any taste it's still a bit soggy. . .

Wir saßen auf der Terrasse, und dann kam der große Regen. Alle Gäste drängten nach drinnen, aber da war es schon voll (nur ca. 30 Plätze, ein kleiner Italiener eben). Aber das Personal schaffte es irgendwie, alle Gäste unterzubringen. Jeder fühlte sich gut behandelt. Das Essen war hervorragend. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet, was in Franken, wo Spezialitäten wie Schäufele normalerweise aufgewärmt werden, schon eine Erwähnung wert ist. Die Preise sind gehoben., aber absolut angemessen. Platz 1 der italienischen Restaurants ist absolut verdient. Reservierung ratsam, denn der Andrang ist groß.

The suggestion to visit Trattoria Lugana came from friends and turned out to be a real hit! The ambience and food were very authentic and reminiscent of a vacation in Italy. The team's joy in "real" southern Italian cooking and preparation was evident in the food. The price-performance ratio is also good and the service and cuisine are really friendly and competent. We will be back!

So, you arrive outside on the terrace at a free table without a reservation sign. You sit for 2 minutes, they say you better go because you don't have a reservation. You know, there's more to do in Würzburg than eating at an arrogant tratoria "butler"

The food and service are excellent and will be difficult to beat in Würzburg. The food is very tasty and fresh, some of the pasta is homemade and the daily menu is really extensive and always surprising. The selection is huge and leaves nothing to be desired (pizza, pasta, meat, fish, vegetarian dishes and authentic desserts). The restaurant is rather cramped but cozy; the furnishings occasionally make you forget you're not in Italy. Only the outdoor spaces suffer somewhat from the immediate proximity to the street and tram. But you are also right in the city and in two minutes on the beautiful Main promenade.

The service was very friendly and the food tasted good. One star deducted for the high prices and another star deducted for the really long waiting time (100 minutes!) between ordering and serving the food.

Went there spontaneously with my girlfriend last night and got a spot straight away. Very good service, very good food with a changing daily menu. However, the restaurant is quite narrow. Definitely recommended!

Well, it was a beautiful sunny day and I got a seat outside. Tagliatelle with salmon and zuchini, delicious! A beer to end the day and a glass of Primitivo for the soul. Perfect!

Wir waren eine Woche in Würzburg, haben gleich am ersten Abend dieses Restaurant besucht und waren hellauf begeistert vom Essen, Wein und dem Service. Daher haben wir dann auch gleich für unseren Abschlussabend einen Tisch reserviert. Dieser zweite Besuch fand an einem Samstagabend bei guten Wetter statt, so dass alle Tische drinnen und draußen besetzt waren (beim ersten Besuch gab es nur drinnen Tische). Leider war das Personal etwas in Hektik, auf unsere Frage nach einem typisch italienischen Menü ging der Chef nicht weiter ein und schlug uns nur eine speziell zusammengestellte Vorspeisenplatte vor. Die war auch sehr gut, bei den Hauptgängen zeigten sich aber deutliche Schwächen: Die Beilagen-Nudeln waren zerkocht, bei der Saltimbocca ging die Sauce sehr ins süßliche, und der gegrillte Fisch war sehr trocken. Wir führten das auf die Überlastung der Küche zurück, die zwar schnell arbeitete (die Tische werden um 18 und um 20 Uhr besetzt). aber unter dem Tempo leidet halt die Sorgfalt. Unsere Empfehlung: nicht bei schönem Wetter aufsuchen, dann hat das Personal auch die Zeit, um die Gäste zu verwöhnen (statt abzufertigen).

We were looking forward to a lovely evening for the two of us, the reviews of the restaurant were promising. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our food. Our table was consistently ignored by all the waiters, even though the starter plates were still there. When we asked, the waiter simply told us that he had forgotten it and that it would come soon. There was no apology. The delivery of the food took about half an hour, and the starter plates remained standing. Unfortunately one dish was half cold. Otherwise the food was good.

Pretty much one of the best authentic Italians in Würzburg and the surrounding area. Can be recommended without reservation. You definitely have to make a reservation, but it's worth it!

Bruscetta, 1x Pizza, 1x Cabonara, 1x gr. Bier, 1x Limocello Spritz, 1x Wasser für unter 40€. Bravo. Lokal ist einladend, typisch italienisch eingerichtet. 2 Kellner hatten den Laden super im Griff.

Good food, especially worth mentioning is the original carbonara with bacon and egg, but fortunately without that cream. Really tasty. The dining room also has a nice atmosphere, but it's a bit small and cramped. Takeaway food is also recommended. Decent portions with good value for money.

Really a great Italian! The service is so warm right from the start that you immediately feel welcome! The food is very freshly prepared and the selection on the (daily) menu leaves nothing to be desired. The restaurant itself is small, the seating is a bit crowded, but that's exactly what gives it the Italian charm here and it fits - we'd love to come back!

The food is tasty and the prices are okay! What really bothered me, however, was the extremely unpleasant smell of urine right in front of the entrance that wafted into the restaurant!! The menu is completely tattered and has probably been around for a few years! This is quite unappetizing and ruins the initial good impression!!

Leider insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen. Mussten auf den reservierten (!) Tisch 15 Min. warten trotz später Uhrzeit und leider eine unfreundliche Abwicklung der Situation, außerdem mehrere Gerichte von der Karte nicht verfügbar, dann über eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet, Portionen sehr knapp bemessen für den stolzen Preis, Service sehr unaufmerksam, gestresst und unfreundlich. Am Ende kam auch keine Frage, ob es noch etwas sein darf, es wurde lieber mit den anderen Gästen ausgiebig erzählt. Haben uns also nicht gut bewirtet gefühlt.

Die Besitzerin ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und man fühlt sich zu jederzeit sehr willkommen. Das sehr gute Essen und die Auswahl an Speisen neben der Karte machen das Paket komplett. The original taste of Italy! Eating here made me feel like I was home again. Especially the pasta was done perfectly, the swordfish was fresh and delicious. The staff was super friendly and the cook checked on us personally to see if everything was to out liking. Needless to say I'm m looking forward to coming back soon!

Essen sehr hochwertig, es gibt eine besondere Auswahl typischer Gerichte. Restaurant klein, gemütlich und italienisch. Sitzplätze außen vorhanden. Zentrale Lage, nahe am Main. Nicht günstig, jedoch eine der besten echten Pizzerien in Würzburg. Unbedingt testen.
