The best choice for the evening! I really enjoyed the good Italian atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! 👍

Starter was very tasty. However cold. We still waited over 30 minutes for our starter. For no reason. There were no warm starters. We waited over an hour for the main course. We said that we “only” had 1.5 hours because we still had theater tickets. We then left without even getting our main course. The waiter didn't even apologize and said we should have brought more than 2 hours of time. Impossible.

Great food and a very friendly boss. Even after the move, it remains one of the best Italian restaurants in Würzburg. Be sure to reserve and enjoy. The food is simply great. The salmon and the pasta dishes are definitely recommended. Of course there is also good pizza 🍕.

Excellent food with an Italian atmosphere. Antipasti with vitello tonnato and capaccio ruccola and fresh vegetables are simply wonderful. The limoncello on the house is also top quality. Needs repeating. Plus the parking space for the motorhome right next to it on the Main. A gift 🥰

We were looking for a pizzeria in Würzburg on the way back from a skiing holiday. Because of the good reviews, I reserved a table by phone in good time. When we arrived then the shock: A very small restaurant, we got the last free table in the corridor to the toilet and kitchen. I wanted to order tagliatelle with salmon from the “weekly menu”. The nice waitress asked if spaghetti would also work. So I chose a pizza. This was very dry, far too little tomato sauce. The knife was very dull. With all due respect: Never again, neither the ambience nor the food were satisfactory.

Super Service! Super Essen ! Super Ambiente Mein Mann und ich waren Mitte Dezember im Lokal Il Grano zu Besuch. Das Essen war unbeschreiblich gut, ich habe selten so gut gegessen ! Der Koch brachte das Gericht persönlich an den Tisch und erzählte, dass er es mit viel Liebe zubereitet habe. Als ich probierte, konnte man die Hingabe wirklich herausschmecken – jeder Bissen war ein Genuss. Der Service war schnell und nett und haben uns perfekt beraten für eine Flasche Wein. Das Restaurant überzeugt mit einem gemütlichen, stilvollen Ambiente.Ein perfekter Ort, um den Abend zu genießen.

Unfortunately I can't understand all the 5 star reviews. We were there with a large group and the first problems arose when ordering. Not all of the dishes on the menu could be ordered. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to scratch and we had to wait forever after the starter before the order for the main courses was taken. Unfortunately, my main course was so bland and boring that I didn't even eat half of it. As compensation I was offered a drink on the house, which unfortunately I never received. I'm really very sorry, but unfortunately the restaurant didn't impress me with either the service or the taste.

Food was very good, pizza like in Italy. The selection isn't that huge and pasta dishes only come without Bolognese sauce. All in all, very good food.

The food was OK, I could have done with a slightly larger portion. There was actually no pasta dish on the regular menu, only on the daily menu. Instead of the noodles with beef strips and chanterelles, the dish was only available without mushrooms, which were out. All right. There was something wrong with the beer too. And there were also several desserts. It was actually a lot for a Thursday evening. I like to eat a side salad, but I think 7.50 euros is really cheeky. The young waiter probably didn't learn that, otherwise he probably wouldn't have been so unfriendly. No sorry, unfortunately out or please and thank you. You don't really feel comfortable there as a guest. Only the boss, who came by to bring something, was quite friendly. Lastly, something that you actually learn first in the catering industry and I expect: that the whole table gets the food at the same time and not two people start eating and two have to wait another 10 minutes for their meal. Forgivable with a large table, but not with 4 people for me. Sorry, but will not come back or recommend

I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. There was only one card available, and you only got a second one after 10 minutes of asking. In addition, we were simply forgotten; only after an hour of waiting and a polite request did the buscetta arrive, which all of us tasted incredibly bad. Guests who arrived later had already received their dessert by that time. If you have an empty drink, it stays empty - you have to request it yourself. The lasagne and rigatoni were extremely solid, nothing special. A highlight was that the neighboring table was cleared away even though wallets, jackets, etc. were still there. Unfortunately it was a very mixed evening and the dishes weren't worth the money, you can definitely eat better Italian food in Würzburg!

Wir waren kürzlich für einen Ausflug in Würzburg und sind abends erstmalig in der Pizzeria Il Grano beim Essen gewesen. Wir haben uns für eine gemischte Fischplatte für 2 Personen entschieden. Sie war einfach hervorragend! Die Kombination aus verschiedenen Fischsorten und den Beilagen war ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich, sodass man sich direkt wohlgefühlt hat. Allerdings hat es leider sehr lange gedauert, bis wir unser Essen am Tisch hatten. Der Chef verwies auf den Personalmangel. Dennoch können wir diese Pizzeria jedem empfehlen, der gute italienische Küche liebt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in Würzburg sind!

A charming Italian restaurant in a very good location with a fantastic view of the Marienberg Fortress. The authentic cuisine is impressive, especially the tuna salad with homemade dressing. Super nice service & owner! A real insider tip for connoisseurs!

Klein aber fein! Ich war heute nach langem im neuen il Grano und man muss sagen nach wie vor alles wie gehabt der Service ist auf Zack und sehr zuvorkommend die Küche ebenso. Haben Pizza gegessen und die schmeckt einfach köstlich der koche in der Küche namens Angelo hat für meine Kinder ein gratis Dessert serviert wo sich meine Kinder ziemlich gefreut haben. Wir kommen wieder vielen Dank an das Team Grano

Good Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, especially the tiramisu is recommended. The portion size is more than sufficient. The price-performance ratio is right. Very nice atmosphere with a view of the Main and the Marienberg Fortress. Unfortunately, the tables outside are on the sidewalk, so passers-by keep walking past while eating. The service was very friendly. The toilets clean. Card payment is possible.

Let yourself be guided by Angelo who can cook dishes according to your desires, such as calamariti con pasta al olio 👍. I wouldn't go there for pizza. She's okay, but ordinary. It's quite nice here. When I've had a cocktail here in the past, it wasn't mixed as well as claimed. Other aspects of my review should, in all fairness, remain cryptic: Not only were there somewhat questionable (unprofessional) statements regarding... "leisure" activities; but it was clear from the outside that clumsy management decisions were made as a result of the restaurant's relocation. From a management perspective, I don't have to decry these associated consequences as being terrible, but there were already clouding connections with the business experience as a customer. As a customer, I have nothing to do with it, but I personally refrain from being present in this way.

War an diesem Abend überhaupt nicht zufriedenstellend. Essen war so naja aber auch das Ambiente, Service und Location. Es roch ziemlich stark nach Abfluss und auch die Toiletten waren nicht sonderlich sauber. Sauberkeit wird wohl nicht so großgeschrieben. (Kann nur hoffen das es in der Küche passt)

Service was very poor. We waited 1.5 hours for our food and had to report what we had ordered 3 times. Drinks came an hour after arrival.

Good food at fair prices. Certainly not star cuisine, but really good and tasty food (here: bruschetta, pizza and pasta). Good wine selection. And a very good, because very friendly service!! The restaurant itself is attractively decorated; Not a style icon (it doesn't have to be... But good food, which is what counts!), but attractive, clean and well-kept. I felt comfortable.

We've been here so many times, which clearly speaks for the food with fresh ingredients, the friendly service and the pleasant ambience. A picture says more than 1000 words and there is hardly anything left to add to the empty plate - except this time also getting to know the very nice boss Angelo and his cook. Absolutely likeable and cool guys! The whole team is harmonious, which fits 100% into the overall picture. We'd love to come back [soon, a little earlier :-)] UPDATE January 2024: Grilled trout with garlic spaghetti and a good Lugano - fantastico!

Leider alles nur sehr durchschnittlich. Essen im oberen Mittelfeld. Ambiente allerdings nicht so toll. Das kleine Restaurant ist meiner Meinung nach viel zu voll gestellt und wird dadurch schnell zu voll und ungemütlich und somit auch sehr laut. Service war dadurch auch etwas langsam und überfordert. Schade, defitniv Potential nach oben. Lage ist top

Als Italienerin kann ich mit Sicherheit sagen, dass dieser Italiener ein Meister seines Faches ist. Wir hatten Fisch sowohl als Vorspeise als auch als Hauptspeise und es war der Wahnsinn. Wir haben die kulinarische Reise nach Italien sehr genossen.

Wir waren zu sechst dort beim Abendessen. Alles hat super geschmeckt, freundlich bedient und das ganze in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Empfehlenswert!

The food was very good. We shared a caprese salad, a pizza calzone and the tagliatelle with shrimp. It ended up being more than we could eat so failed to finish the calzone but it was delicious. The Aperol Spritz was good as was the wine by the glass. We appreciate Wurzburg’s reasonable prices.

Kurze Wartezeiten unter der Woche an den Wochenenden jedoch Hochbetrieb und längereWartezeiten(bisher jedoch nie 30min überschritten). Trotzdem eine entspannte Atmosphäre im Lokal, außerhalb des Lokals kann es durch den Verkehr in unmittelbarer Nähe manchmal etwas laut werden. Empfehlenswert

Leider war der Service schlecht, wir haben unser Essen lange vor dem Trinken erhalten und mussten mindestens dreimal darauf hinweisen, dass unser trinken noch nicht da ist. Das Essen war okay, aber auch nichts besonderes.

Das Il Grano ist unser absoluter Lieblingsitaliener. Meistens genießen wir Freitag abends zum Start ins Wochenende das vorzügliche Essen mit einem tollen Wein. Der Besitzer und die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam, immer höflich und bereiten uns immer einen sehr schönen Abend. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Ristorante gestito da italiani, siamo stati serviti da Davide italo portoghese estremamente gentile ed ottimo padrone di casa. La pizza con pasta morbida e con ottimi ingredienti. Abbiamo mangiato penne alla arrabbiata ottime, spaghetti ai frutti di mare pefettamente conditi, leggermente piccanti . Ottimi. Se dovessimo tornare a Wurzburg torneremo certamente.
