I was in Dillingen today on business and went to the Indian restaurant Sangam at lunchtime to pick up two takeaway dishes.
Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment:
The rice was dry, the meat – tandoori according to the description – was obviously just boiled, completely unseasoned, and had an unpleasant odor.
It seemed old and inedible.
In the end, everything ended up in the trash.
If I'd been around, I would have returned the food immediately.
For me, one thing is certain: once – and definitely never again.
I also asked for cutlery, and they gave me plastic cutlery – the "spoon" was actually just a teaspoon instead of a tablespoon.
I took a photo of the food – it already shows that it might have spoiled.
Basically a really nice restaurant with massive weaknesses. We've mostly walked past it so far and now we decided to go there. The ambience fits well and is very cozy.
Unfortunately, the trouble started immediately after the service lady seated us. It took a whopping 20 minutes for anyone to even show any interest in us. After we noticed that someone was sitting here, we wisely decided to order both (drinks and food). Thank God, because the waiting time for the food is enormous at three quarters of an hour. If the quality of the whole thing had at least been usable, I wouldn't say anything yet. The problem was that this was so far off the mark that it was almost unbelievable.
We had the spare ribs, which arrived cold, tough and with very little meat (3 bones with some meat on them).
We also had edamame, which was also quite cool, grilled peppers with a flaky consistency and hardly any seasoning.
The squid arm charred at the end and chewy at the other end.
The real hit, however, was the beef tartare, which was garnished with anchovies to apparently add some flavor. It seems as if it was an attempt that unfortunately went completely wrong in terms of taste.
All in all, one of the most negative experiences in Rosenheim's gastronomy. I can and will advise everyone not to visit this restaurant. Also because the service staff is so disorganized that they tried to give us a dessert without ordering it, whereas the table next door had been waiting for the order for quite some time and was also completely ignored. An impudence that is second to none.
What’s more, this “experience” results in a three-figure bill for two people in no time.
We've been coming here regularly for five years. The food is always so delicious; I highly recommend it. We love the spring rolls and the number 42. It's a dream. The duck tastes incredibly good; we've never been disappointed.
Hello dear Sandra,
It tasted really great with you again.
Very nice and courteous employees.
We always enjoy coming back.
Please stay like this, you and your great team.
Had dinner with friends at the steak lounge. Friendly welcome and a very nice waiter! Beautiful ambience that invites you to feel good. We had 4 different main courses - 2 different steaks with side dishes, a salmon steak with side dishes and the Steaklounge Burger - all fried to perfection and beautifully presented! Thank you very much 🙃
I've been coming to Birkenhof for many years and can only say good things!
All the staff are very friendly and always on the ball! Everyone here puts their heart and soul into their work. This is evident not only in the fantastic location (both summer and winter), which is decorated with great attention to detail. We were also very well looked after at my mother's birthday party and would happily return regularly!
All I can say about the food is: no matter what I tried, it was always very good!!!
I highly recommend it!
