Very tasty sauerbraten. Rich and very well prepared. The sauce is amazing! I highly recommend the red cabbage! The dumplings are soft, like Thuringian dumplings. But delicious.
The price is right👍
We cannot recommend this restaurant. The landlady/waitress was extremely rude and impolite. When we asked if we could sit outside, we were immediately given an extremely rude no, as it would soon get colder and there was a risk of illness. When we further asked why several tables outside were already occupied, we were told that dogs were a problem. We were reluctantly allowed to go outside. When we pointed out that we had jackets with us and that it would probably be pleasant for a while, we were told behind our backs that we needed to listen better, that it wasn't about us, but about our colleague. We then decided against staying there any longer and against ordering anything.
High-level criticism - it was "only" almost perfect.
The Kappeneck offers high-quality slow food at its finest. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the ambiance inviting and stylish; you immediately feel at home upon arrival. The two of us shared three starters: Mutabal, Piementos, and Foccacia, all very tasty, and even better when you know where the ingredients come from. Afterward, we treated ourselves to the grilled char fillet 🔝🔝🔝 with a tomato and almond pesto and roasted potatoes. To start, we had an excellent local craft beer, Rotes Pony, and a wine pairing of Sicilian Zibibbo (recommended by our waitress 👏) and Baden Riesling. We deducted points for the affogato, as the espresso on our excellent scoop of vanilla ice cream was also ice-cold. However, everything tasted excellent and gave us a truly enjoyable experience.
A wonderful inn with delicious, lovingly prepared food. Highly recommended, with attentive service and surprisingly reasonable prices for a city dweller. A cozy beer garden and a stunning interior, like a journey back in time.
We had lunch here and were kindly served. The food was good, although the sauce of the octopus and shrimp salad was not particularly impressive. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating area lacks an appealing design and isn't as cozy as the indoor space. Considering the size of the portions, the prices are slightly too high, and we only had one course.
Our absolute favorite Italian restaurant. A very nice chef and very friendly staff. The chef is fantastic and even comes to your table to ask if everything was okay—simply fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant. Best wishes to the entire La Lupa team, Hubert, Fabio, and Patricia 🥰
We were here for the first time today, but certainly not the last. The ambiance is beautiful, and we both agreed that these were the best pizzas we've ever eaten (Siciliana and Parmigiana). Absolutely delicious! Top-notch!
This restaurant is beautiful inside. Great ambiance and surroundings. The gentleman running everything was amazing and was very accommodating. A good experience and I would definitely recommend.
