The pizzas were delicious, the salad was fresh and nicely presented, although the balsamic vinegar could have been used more sparingly or omitted altogether. The staff was very friendly. The ambiance has its own charm; it's definitely cozy.
Food (4/5)
The food was high-quality. Product quality, craftsmanship, and flavor combinations were of a high standard and represented the strongest part of the evening.
Service (2/5)
The service seemed too casual for the Michelin-starred level. The timing of the wine pairings was inconsistent, as some wines were served significantly before the corresponding course. Furthermore, the payment process deviated considerably from the norm: After confirming the bill twice, we were actively asked for a tip. This is not standard practice in top German restaurants and significantly detracted from the overall impression.
Ambiance / Interior (2/5)
The interior is very simple. Functional and calm, but lacking in design depth. A stronger visual accent would better reflect the high standards of the cuisine.
Overall Impression (3/5)
Overall, an acceptable evening with good food, but shortcomings in the service and ambiance. A return visit is not currently on the cards.
We wanted to reserve a table for the following evening – a Friday evening – but unfortunately, there were no vacancies. Then, late Friday morning, we received a call with an offer for that evening. Unfortunately, we had already decided to go elsewhere, but what service!!! Hats off to them!!!
We first ate there two years ago, and back then the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all excellent. That's why we wanted to go back... We'll definitely have better luck next time!
We come here regularly and always feel welcome. The staff is very friendly, and the food is truly sensational! If you're driving by, it's definitely worth a visit (two, three times)!!!
Reservations are highly recommended at this popular restaurant in a convenient location. The ambiance is simple, but the cloth napkins are a nice touch. The service is friendly and quick.
The starter salad, dressed with a very cheap "Knorr Salad Dressing," is a culinary disaster; it even came without bread, a counterproductive cost-cutting measure.
The menu focuses primarily on pasta. You won't find any exceptional creations here, nor on the pizza—it's standard Italian fare.
The house wine at €8.50 is extremely expensive, but drinkable.
Overall, it's only conditionally recommended; there are definitely better options.
Food: The main course (saddle of venison) was very good, but the portion was extremely small and a bit too cold; the fish soup as a starter was somewhat bland (it used to be better); the wine recommendations were very good. The service could have been friendlier, and the cheese took a very long time to arrive, so we ended up having a third glass, which was okay. Conclusion: Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer acceptable.
We spontaneously decided to eat there today, and as always, the vegetarian food was exceptionally good. The waiter was very friendly, and the price-performance ratio was great. We'll definitely be back. Try it for yourselves, you're missing out! ❤️
My typical go-to is a lamb biryani at an Indian restaurant. Can’t go wrong. And certainly wasn’t wrong at this restaurant. We ordered Helles beer and my colleague ordered a curry and I ordered the biryani.
Food came out within 10 min. Restaurant wasn’t busy at 8:30 pm. It’s located within a mall next to the Residence Inn by Marriott we were staying at (1 min walk away outside, same level). The lamb was tender, the rice was cooked well, and the dish was seasoned properly. The dish was also not too oily and did not come with a bread topping, which I personally am not a fan of. My nitpick is that for the price of €18, I’d expect at least an egg to come with the dish.
Waiter was very attentive. He even gave me a dish of finger chillies to accompany the biryani.
Atmosphere was meh. It’s a mall.
Takeaway…if you’re traveling and staying at the Résidence inn, well worth the dinner especially if you’re getting a bit tired of German food…
