Der Mittagstisch ist fantastisch! Ein Riesenschnitzel für knapp 10 € ist unschlagbar! Man merkt, dass es frisch zubereitet wurde.

Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist gemütlich und traditionell. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Wow.. Wir sind begeistert! Wir waren am Sonntag zum ersten Mal da und wir sind sehr positiv überrascht. Alles war super frisch und lecker. Ich habe noch nie so einen guten Schweinebraten gegessen. Der Service war hervorragend und einfach alles war top ! Die Preise sind für die Portionen und die Qualität die man erhält super preiswert. Wir kommen aufjedenfall nochmal wieder!

Montag Schnitzel ist ohne Salat, darum getäuscht günstiger. An anderen Tagen muss der Salat immer mitbezahlt werden, auch wenn man keinen dazu möchte. Reden kann man darüber nicht. Viel verschiedenes Personal. Junges Personal sehr unfreundlich. Wechselgeld wird auf den Tich geschmissen. Hier ist der Kunde einen Dreck wert. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Eigentlich ein echt uriges, bayerisches Wirtshaus, wie man es sich vorstellt. Wir waren jetzt schon ein paar mal da. Das Essen ist meistens echt top und die Portionen sind echt riesig – also hungrig geht da keiner raus. Vorallem der Schnitzeltag am Montag ist unschlagbar für den Preis (9,90€!), da kann man echt nix sagen. Bier schmeckt auch, so wie es sein soll. Aber man muss ehrlich sagen: Es kommt extrem drauf an, wann man hingeht und wer grad Dienst hat. An Feiertagen wie Weihnachten oder Silvester scheint die Küche manchmal echt überfordert zu sein... da hatten wir auch schon mal Pech mit der Qualität und mussten ewig warten. Auch die Musikwahl ist manchmal bissl schräg, italienische Schlager im bayerischen Gasthof muss man mögen. 😂 Personal ist aber meistens super nett, besonders die Dame mit dem polnischen Akzent ist klasse. Wenn man an nem normalen Wochentag kommt, macht man eigentlich nix falsch. Bodenständig und faire Preise. Wir kommen wieder, aber vielleicht eher nicht mehr an Feiertagen.

Ich empfehle das regionale und köstliche Essen, die Bedienung ist eine sehr nette Dame mit polnischem Flair, super bayerisch.

Super leckeres Essen in uriger Gaststätte. Alle 3 Gerichte waren mega lecker, frisch und reichlich. Die Bedienung war super nett und zuvorkommend. Auch der extra Wunsch meines Enkels wurde möglich gemacht. Also alles in allem perfekt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

2. Weihnachtstag 2025: Essen (Rouladen) war nicht zufriedenstellend; Service hingegen war gut; Ambiente ist gut

Ausnahmsweise mal ein bodenständiges Wirtshaus, wo vernünftige bayerische Küche angeboten wird und die Gerichte nicht den Eindruck machen, als wären es aufgetaute Troiber-Fertiggerichte und Packerlsaucen! Preise sind absolut fair für heutige Verhältnisse. Wir haben ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffel und Ente mit Knödel und Blaukraut gegessen. Beides war frisch zubereitet und wirklich schmackhaft, Selbst der Beilagensalat war mit hochwertigen Zutaten frisch angerichtet. Das gesamte Lokal hat einen gepflegten sauberen Eindruck gemacht und war auch gut besucht, Was in einer Kleinstadt ja auch immer für sich spricht. Da können sich andere profitgierige Wirtshäuser im Landkreis gern eine Scheibe abschneiden - frisch gekochte Qualität zum angemessenen Preis geht scheinbar auch 2026 noch!

Wir waren zu dritt am Silvesterabend im Gasthaus. Trotz des sehr vollen Restaurants wurden wir stets schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Die Wartezeit aufs Essen war für den Betrieb sehr kurz. Alles war richtig schmackhaft, schön angerichtet und die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Ein extra Lob an die Küche für das tolle Salatdressing. Unsere Reservierung war sehr kurzfristig. Trotzdem wurden wir entsprechend unserem Wunsch platziert und verbrachten einen wirklich schönen Abend im Wirtshaus.

Wie waren am 31.12.als Gäste da. Essen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Tisch und Stühle waren wahrscheinlich aus außen Bereich. Bisschen ungemütlich. Ich habe standing Metall Teil erwischt. Personal war nett. Man hat bisschen gewartet aber im Grenzen. Der Preis war in Ordnung. Ambient richtig bayerisch.

Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war leider sehr enttäuschend. Die Speisen machten den Eindruck, als seien sie zuvor eingefroren und lediglich wieder erwärmt worden. Optisch wirkten sie wenig ansprechend, und auch geschmacklich konnten sie nicht überzeugen. Zudem wurden die Gerichte kalt serviert. Das Dessert sah zunächst ansprechend aus, entsprach jedoch in keiner Weise der Beschreibung auf der Speisekarte. Weder die Zutaten noch die Qualität erfüllten die geweckten Erwartungen. Auch der Service war äußerst unbefriedigend. Das Personal erschien unfreundlich, desinteressiert und wenig serviceorientiert. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass Gäste eher als Störfaktor denn als willkommen wahrgenommen wurden. Eine angenehme Atmosphäre kam ebenfalls nicht zustande – das Ambiente wirkte kühl und wenig einladend. Insgesamt war es eine durchweg negative Erfahrung, die aus unserer Sicht nicht einmal einen Stern rechtfertigt.

Ich war mit meiner Familie am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag essen. Das essen war geschmackslos und mein Fleisch war noch halb roh. Der Service war auch nicht entsprechend Der Kellner meinte gib mir mal den Teller er hat weder gefragt wie das essen geschmeckt hat noch war er motiviert für seine Arbeit Meine Familie wird dort nicht mehr essen gehen.

Leider war unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen sah aus, als wäre es aufgetaut und anschließend nur aufgewärmt worden – optisch alles andere als appetitlich. Geschmacklich konnte es ebenfalls nicht überzeugen, zudem wurde das Essen kalt serviert. Das Dessert sah auf den ersten Blick zwar gut aus, entsprach jedoch in keiner Weise dem, was auf der Speisekarte beschrieben bzw. versprochen wurde. Inhalt und Qualität hatten nichts mit der Erwartung zu tun. Auch der Service ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Kellner wirkten unsympathisch, wenig motiviert und nicht gastfreundlich. Man hatte das Gefühl, als wären Gäste eher eine Belastung als willkommen. Eine angenehme Stimmung kam ebenfalls nicht auf, die Atmosphäre war kühl und wenig einladend. Insgesamt leider eine sehr negative Erfahrung – aus unserer Sicht nicht einmal einen Stern wert.

The food was delicious. The service was also very good and friendly. The only thing that bothered us was the loud Italian music. It really didn't fit in. I can understand that at an Italian restaurant. But we'll definitely be back.

Basically, it's a nice Bavarian inn with a beer garden. Service and quality vary from day to day, depending on which team is on duty. Saturdays are currently the worst day. The service is courteous to the outside, but that's where the positives end. Clothes make the person, but unfortunately, they don't belong in a rural inn. The potato dumplings were burnt, the venison roast tough, and the sauerbraten inedible. Criticism is ignored. No one even checks our glasses. That's unacceptable.

We were there as part of a club outing with 30 people. Making the reservation was straightforward and the staff were friendly, and they were able to cater for our group quickly. The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly. We would gladly return.

A traditional, historic brewery inn in the heart of the picturesque old town of Landau on the lower Isar. A quiet, rustic beer garden in the shade of a huge maple tree is just as inviting as the terrace overlooking the old town to linger and take in the view. A charming house run by an innkeeper who puts his heart and soul into his job and simply knows his craft. The boss still cooks here himself and you can taste it. Whether it's Franconian Schäufele fresh from the oven or juicy crusted roast pork with mixed dumplings in a unique natural jus that only gets its full flavor with plenty of dark beer, everything is simply excellent. Lively, attentive service brings you a fresh, cool half liter of "Kriegerbräu" in no time at all and with a smile. Children have also been thought of with special children's dishes. Vegetarians should stick to the homemade Käsespätzle, an insider tip. Served with floret onions, a poem. Even fans of Far Eastern cuisine will get their money's worth at Kumba, the dedicated chef and innkeeper. A native Nepalese who has lived and loved Bavarian hospitality for many years, he conjures up a first-class curry with chicken or simply with crisp market vegetables and fragrant basmati rice. We always enjoy coming here and are happy to recommend the inn.

We were invited to a birthday party. The food was universally praised. The ambiance was rather mediocre. But the food was the main focus, hence the 5 stars.

If you're in the area, you really have to stop by. The food is delicious and well-prepared, and the service is excellent. We also liked the lunch menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommended. We had the pasta with chanterelle mushrooms in truffle oil and the Schäuferle (pork shoulder). The pasta was simply amazing. You could really taste the truffles, which is rare. The Schäuferle (pork shoulder) is among the best I've ever eaten. Very tender meat, delicious dumplings, and plenty of sauce. The visit was truly worth it!

The food here is delicious. Typically Bavarian and hearty. All three dishes were excellent. The cheese spaetzle with sirloin was delicious. The best cheese spaetzle I've ever eaten. I highly recommend the schnitzel filled with cheese and spinach; it's absolutely delicious, as are the fried potatoes.

Food good, service good, sanitary clean but a bit dark

We had a Jägerschnitzel and green pasta with asparagus. The meat was tough and poor quality. Spaetzle was okay. Pasta with asparagus was not seasoned. The tasteless sauce became thinner as we ate. All in all inferior, no recommendation.

We spontaneously stopped by with two children on our way to vacation. Everything was delicious and plentiful, we received a very friendly welcome, and didn't have to wait long for service or the food. Plus, the value is excellent. We would go back anytime and can recommend the restaurant to anyone.

My grilled meat was very good and plentiful. The meat was very juicy. The salad dressing was delicious. And the aperitif was very special: Landauer Wiesenspritz with dried cornflower, rose, and marigold leaves. Simply delicious! We'll be back.

The duck was with orange sauce and therefore way too sweet. This wasn't on the menu and I personally really couldn't eat it. The complaint was not addressed and I went home hungry. My companions also had to choke down the duck so as not to cause an unnecessary fuss in front of the company. In my opinion, unprofessional, as the waitress could have at least offered an alternative.

We ordered the Thai curry from the lunch menu. Unfortunately that was nothing. They should definitely take that off the menu.

Went there for lunch this afternoon, Once duck and once schnitzel with fries. Duck was stuffed with onions and oranges, it wasn't on the menu but you could eat it. Schnitzel with fries was brought, Fries were cold, then everything was taken back and new fries were made, schnitzel was then put in the microwave and was therefore no longer edible. The service was always friendly, she can't help it, but the boss shouldn't serve dishes like that. It's a shame we've been here a lot, but that's about to change.

This was our fifth time at Oberer Krieger because it simply tastes best there. The Krieger Bräu Schnitzel is a delicacy. The salads are also highly recommended on hot days as they are freshly prepared and provide refreshment. But no matter what you order, you will definitely be full. The beer garden is small but nice. A large tree decorates the beer garden and the old walls invite you to enjoy. The service is great, all the employees are very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to take a short stopover or simply go out for a leisurely meal!

The food was very good. The food came really quickly, but a salad had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. The portions were almost too big. The ambience is also very nice. It wasn't too crowded and therefore not too loud in the beer garden.
