Ich bin so sauer, dass ich erst jetzt den Laden entdeckt habe. Und das obwohl ich schon gefühlt 100 Mal in Augsburg und Umgebung nach asiatischer Küche gesucht habe (Google maps). Ich hatte das Pad Thai mit Ente, die Fischküchlein und Tom Jüg Wun Sen-Suppe mit Garnele. Alles war fantastisch und bei keinem Gericht oder Zutat hatte man das Gefühl, als wäre es nicht frisch oder mit großer Liebe zubereitet worden. Dachte mir die Garnelen wären in der Suppe nach der Heimfahrt gummig oder zu fest, aber die waren wirklich optimal. Ganz weit weg von ich nenne es mal „Fastfood-Thailändisch“ und ganz klar „Restaurant-Klasse“. Ich habe die Gerichte abgeholt und musste 18 Min nach Hause fahren. Ich kann mir nur vorstellen, wie gut die Gerichte frisch schmecken müssen. Ich gehe hier auch gerne mal auswärts essen, das Restaurant sah sehr gemütlich und sauber aus und die Angelegenheit des Restaurants gibt dem Laden einen gewissen „Geheimtipp-Vibe“. Baitong sieht mich wieder. Sorry, aber ich habe leider immer seltener eine 100% gute Restauranterfahrung, aber hier hat alles gepasst, daher wohl mein Enthusiasmus im Text.

Wir waren gerade zum ersten mal da. Sehr sehr nettes Personal und das Essen ist spitze! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise gemeinsam und eine Nachspeise. Hauptgerichte wirklich köstlich.

Ein bisschen Thailand Urlaub in Augsburg. Ich war bereits öfter im Bai Tong essen, da mir das Restaurant von einer thailändischen Bekannten empfohlen wurde. Ich liebe das Pad Kra Pao mit extra frittierem Spiegelei. Allein dafür würde es bereits 5 Sterne geben. Die Getränke, insbesondere die thailändischen Limonaden sind es wert probiert zu werden. Thai Biere gibt es auch. Das Personal ist super freundlich und bemüht. Das Ambiente authentisch gemütlich. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Super leckeres Essen!! Und tolles Service

Wirklich echtes thailändisches Essen von thailändischen Betreibern. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend wie in Thailand! Das ist leider nicht so oft zu finden. Wir waren begeistert.

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Eine Reklamation wurde trotz klarer Mängel nur unzureichend bearbeitet und am Ende komplett abgelehnt. Statt einer fairen Lösung habe ich lediglich eine Erstattung von 5 € erhalten, was in keinem Verhältnis zum Problem stand. Das Essen wurde von mir abgeholt, und das bestellte Gericht war unvollständig (die Ente hat komplett gefehlt). Aufgrund der Anfahrt von etwa 40 Minuten war es für mich nicht sinnvoll, noch einmal zurückzufahren, um das fehlende Gericht zu reklamieren. Der Kundenservice war wenig entgegenkommend und hat aus meiner Sicht keine zufriedenstellende Klärung angeboten. Ob das Problem nun direkt am Restaurant oder bei Lieferando liegt, ist mir als Kunde ehrlich gesagt egal – ich bestelle über die Plattform und erwarte, dass solche Fälle vernünftig geregelt werden. Das Essen selbst war zwar in Ordnung, aber keinesfalls außergewöhnlich oder den Aufwand wert. Insgesamt hinterlässt das Ganze einen eher negativen Eindruck, vor allem wegen des schlechten Umgangs mit der Reklamation.

Wir waren mit vier Personen im Bai Tong zum Abendessen. Die Speisen waren optisch und geschmacklich ansprechend. Dafür gibt es 5 Sterne. Leider war die Tischplanung ziemlich chaotisch. Obwohl wir reserviert hatten mussten wir ca. 15 Minuten am Eingang warten. Wir konnten beobachten wie eilig mit zwei Personen besetzte Vierertische umbesetzt wurden. Zudem bekam eine Gruppe mit vier Personen, die kurz vor uns das Lokal betrat, aber keine Reservierung hatte, vor uns einen Tisch zugewiesen. Eine Reservierungsliste war vermutlich nicht vorhanden. Erst als ein weiterer Tisch geräumt war, konnten wir uns endlich setzen. Einige Personen die nach uns kamen wurden vor uns bedient. Bis zum Hauptgang dauerte es ca. 1 ½ Stunden. Ein Gericht wurde falsch serviert. Um das Chaos nicht zu verstärken reklamierten wir vorsichtshalber nicht. Zwei Bedienungen bemühten sich redlich, waren aber offensichtlich mit dem voll besetzten Lokal etwas überfordert. Wegen der Kritikpunkte leider nur 4 Sterne.

Service war super, Ambiente gemütlich, Essen nicht so der Brüller, Vorspeise innen kalt, Nudeln leider ungenießbar, Thai Curry geschmacklich gut, leider mit sehr wenig Rindfleisch. Schade, war schon mal besser!

Das vegane Pad Thai und die Sommerrollen waren super lecker und die Portion mehr als ausreichend. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend im Bai Tong und mussten leider über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Befremdet hat mich, dass trotz der hohen Wartezeit der Gäste vor Ort, ein Abholer nach dem anderen kam. In dieser Situation sollten eindeutig die wartenden Gäste im Restaurant priorisiert werden. Das Essen an sich schmeckt gut, mir waren aber die Portionen nicht ausgewogen genug. Wenn man für knapp 20€ nur fünf Garnelen bekommt, ist das schon wenig. Da hilft dann auch das massiv beigefügte Gemüse nicht. Das Personal ist freundlich, findet jedoch keine entschuldigenden Worte für die Wartezeit. Es scheint wohl Standard zu sein, für uns ist das aber nichts. Das Interieur ist toll eingerichtet, aber bei vollem Haus ist es laut und man kann sich schwer unterhalten.

Seit langem waren wir mal wieder im Baitong und wurden leider enttäuscht. Es hat geschmeckt, aber das Essen war nichts besonderes mehr wie früher. Solche Gerichte bekommt man überall. Keine besondere Würzung, kein wirklich großer Unterschied zwischen den verschiedenen bestellten Gerichten. Keine Gewürze am Tisch zum z.B. Schärfe nachwürzen. Die einzige Bedienung war nicht besonders freundlich. Nachdem das Essen ausgegeben war kam sie nicht mehr vorbei für evtl. Getränke Nachbestellungen. Keine Frage, ob es geschmeckt hat, kein Lächeln wie man es sonst in asiatischen Lokalen gewohnt ist. Nachdem ein schönes thailändisches Restaurant in der Nähe seit Monaten geschlossen hat, vergibt man hier die Chance Kunden zu übernehmen. Fazit: Seit den Zeiten als Manfred noch Chef war hat das Baitong leider sehr nachgelassen. Früher war hier das Motto klein, aber fein. Baitong war etwas Besonderes. Und stets ein freundliches thailändisches Lächeln. Für uns diesmal leider eine Enttäuschung. .

Habe dort bestellt und es war unfassbar lecker. Habe in 4 Wochen Thailandurlaub das beste Pad Thai gesucht und das hier ist vergleichbar mit dem Besten! Einfach wow Update 2 Wochen später Habe dort jetzt 4 mal bestellt und die Qualität bleibt konstant ausgezeichnet

Freundlich und lecker, Personal müsste aber mehr her

Das Essen war bisher immer gut vor Ort. Die Wartezeiten beim Essen vor Ort waren auch ok. Beim Abholen musste ich jetzt leider öfter schon länger warten - teilweise 45min und mehr. War aber immer am Wochenende und viel los. Unter der Woche war das Essen immer rechtzeitig fertig.

In meinen Augen das beste Thai-Restaurant in Augsburg ( ich hab zwar nicht alle, aber definitiv mehrere ausprobiert ). Mein Favorit: Pat Thai Chicken

December 2025: We've tried it on and off – and again today, because we really like Thai food. But what can I say? The spring rolls and wontons for the appetizer were very tasty. The chicken skewers were very bland and not good. The three main courses had already declined in quality the last few times. Today they were also very bland and not good... 😢 And adding salt didn't help – it lacked the typical Thai flavor... Conclusion: We won't be going there or ordering takeout again anytime soon... even though we're really sorry about it... Three years prior (December 2022): A fantastic restaurant, very tasty Thai dishes, friendly and attentive service, excellent food! Always worth a visit – we'll definitely be back!!

Incredibly delicious. We've eaten there once and have ordered takeout several times. The food has always been delicious. Fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. The food has always been very good. The service has suffered greatly lately. The server arrives without a word and leaves without a word mid-order. If you feel uncomfortable as a customer, you have to go somewhere else (despite the good food). And no, I'm not sensitive, but I think it's great when restaurants are customer-oriented.

This evening, we were practically mocked by a waitress when we calmly and objectively asked critical questions about a bowl of soup we had received. She said she had more guests as she left. When we asked why there was a whistling sound in the room, she replied that it had been like that for 20 years. That can quickly put you off your food.

We sat outside on the terrace for dinner. It wasn't big or comfortable, but it was nice to sit outside. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was friendly, and we'd be happy to come back.

Further addendum: We don't know if it's due to a new chef, but: the best Pad Thai in all of Augsburg and the surrounding area! (The quality of the food has improved a lot since our last visit.) Unfortunately, it's not quite affordable, but every bite is a delight! The service staff are also very attentive. Addendum: Unfortunately, it doesn't taste the same as it did a few months ago...such a shame. I also ordered Pad Thai with tofu. I noticed at home that the tofu pieces were missing from both orders. Such a shame 🥲 First review: We always order Pad Thai here and are always extremely satisfied. The noodles are so incredibly delicious and the portions are truly generous. Our favorite place when we're craving Thai food. The service staff are always very friendly.

Super nice service, great food and good prices, what more could you want 😀 Update: The restaurant is no longer what it was. The menu is the same, but there is no coriander in the papaya salad, the curry only tastes like coconut milk and is not spicy at all. The duck also smells like old frying fat. Facility is getting old. You can eat there, but you don't have to, there are many better Thai restaurants there.

The rice was lukewarm, that's not possible. Furthermore, the drinks were served with the fingers on the edge of the glass! That's not possible at all, your fingers have no place. Spring rolls were good. Our main course curry sauce with duck tasted good, but also lukewarm. Otherwise nothing special!

The quality has deteriorated dramatically. Everything diluted with water. E.g. a little coconut milk, curry paste and fish sauce. The duck meat is only slightly warmed ready-made product. Too expensive for that. Too bad. That used to be the best Thai in Augsburg.

Unfortunately, the food is no longer what it used to be. The waitress from before was dressed in local (Thai) clothing, was very cheerful and knew her guests.... unfortunately she is no longer there.... The place seems cold... Now I have to add something. Was there again for dinner. Unfortunately my wine glass wasn't clean, beef with glass noodles, for what meat was in it (it was also hard) the dish shouldn't have cost 19 euros. The place was also cold, even the employees wore jackets... no, I won't be back...

I was there again today. I think the food is very good. The service too. Gladly again.

Food is good, it's been better before. The red and green curry tasted like almost nothing. The baked bananas also tasted empty. The papaya salad wasn't particularly fresh and didn't taste particularly intense either. The lemongrass soup and the vegan shrimp were delicious and the mango sticky rice was also good. Service was OK too, only the woman serving was in a bad mood the whole time, but that can happen. All in all, still worth a visit.

Nice decor throughout, very comfortable. The room temperature could be a little higher but still within limits. The food can also be rated well. Good selection of drinks and quick service. I give it 4.4 out of 5 stars.

We have been coming to Bai Tong for years and often get something to eat at home. Very friendly, even our son was carried in our arms so that we could eat in peace 😁 What's special is that every dish is also available as a vegetarian/vegan version.

Was a very nice experience here at Bai Tong. It's been a long time since I've eaten authentic Thai food this well. The evening began with the Gai Sate starter and a chilled Thai milk iced tea. Both a 10/10. The main course was followed by prawns in chili paste and laab with minced pork. These two dishes also taste exactly like I once ate them in Thailand. And finally there was the mango cream, which really impressed me. I would even say it was the highlight of the evening for me. You can't complain about the price-performance ratio here either. The service here was also very friendly, making you feel at home. A very pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely come here more often.

Great restaurant with a diverse selection of food and also traditional drinks. Excellent service. The large selection of vegetarian options is particularly great, e.g. vegan crispy duck, vegan chicken or tofu with almost every main course.

Best Thai restaurant in Augsburg and the surrounding area. Highly recommend the Pad Thai. We like to drive 80 km for this. Price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. No matter what dish you order. Everything tastes good. We have been coming back again and again for many years. Keep it up.

Nice and cozy restaurant in Göggingen. It's on a side street in a residential area, so there is only street parking. The staff is very nice and accommodating. There is a great selection of dishes, whether meat/fish or vegetarian/vegan. The food is freshly prepared and tastes very tasty! The price is also perfectly reasonable for the size of the portion.

We've been coming here to eat here for years. The food is great, the staff is friendly. At first glance it's very inconspicuous, but the inside is very harmoniously furnished, the toilets are clean. In terms of prices, the restaurant, like every other restaurant, has had to adjust its prices upwards. But you shouldn't blame the restaurant. Conclusion: we keep coming

We were here often and always happy. Unfortunately, the prices have become even more expensive and the quality has significantly worsened. (Mango sticky rice is dry and vegan duck is no longer edible.)
