My husband and I went to Baan Sukhothai for the first time today and we are very excited! The food was very tasty and authentic. The staff was also extremely friendly. We will definitely come back :)

We became aware of the restaurant through the voucher book and were thrilled. Note: The curries would probably be spicy for most people. Maybe add it here if you don't want it spicy. We thought it was great! We would love to come back 😊👍

Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but very nicely and lovingly furnished inside. The food isn't exactly cheap, but it's really filling and extremely tasty! I've never had such good Thai food outside of Thailand. The whole thing is rounded off by very nice service. Since the restaurant seems to be popular with others, a reservation is recommended. Almost all the tables were occupied when we were there.

A piece of Thailand in Augsburg – simply outstanding! I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Thai restaurant this evening and all I can say is it was an absolute experience! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you have been transported to another world. The ambience is authentically Thai, elegant and designed with great attention to detail - a far cry from the usual, kitschy decor that you often see in Asian restaurants. It's like dining right in Thailand, in an upscale fine-dining restaurant, and for a moment you forget you're still home. The kitchen is a real highlight. Authentic Thai cuisine is celebrated here at the highest level. The dishes are a sophisticated composition of fresh herbs, exotic spices and, above all, high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a delight and the flavors took my taste buds on a trip to Thailand. I was particularly impressed by how flexible and attentive the service was in responding to my every request. When I realized that I had ordered a glass noodle salad that was served rather warm, I was promptly and without hesitation given an additional portion of fresh salad - that's true service! The entire evening was simply a success. From the warm welcome, to the excellent advice on choosing dishes, to the really friendly and courteous service - everything is just right here. As a guest you not only feel welcome, but also particularly valued. So much so that we are even considering celebrating my father's milestone birthday here - there can hardly be a greater vote of confidence in the quality of this restaurant. I can truly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience authentic Thai cuisine at its best. Here you don't just get a meal, but a real experience. Thank you for this wonderful evening – we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I can't understand the other reviews at all. The food was really not good. Lots of fried tofu that just tasted like older fat. The sauces also tasted more like flavor enhancers. Pad Thai way too sweet. I don't understand at all what's supposed to be fine dining about it. The prices are much higher than the good Asian restaurants and for the quality it seemed more like a cheap train station snack bar. The only vegetarian starter was fried tofu with sweet and sour sauce. When we politely mentioned that we were very disappointed with the food, the waiter didn't seem as if he cared.

Super nice Thai restaurant just outside of Augsburg. The food was sensationally good, beautifully prepared and the waitresses were super nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is one of the most beautiful I have seen outside of Thailand. The dessert, mango sticky rice, was also a dream. And go to the toilet, the sinks are so beautifully done. We can only recommend this restaurant.

Oh well. The restaurant advertises itself with the slogan “Thai Fine Dining”. The reality was different. We had reserved a table for six people and were given one in a side room that was unfortunately largely forgotten by the service. There was a small bell on the table that we were apparently supposed to use to summon the waiter. This was done after about 10 minutes to at least get a card and drinks. Ordered the latter and then received two out of four wheat in a normal beer glass. That's not a bad thing, but it doesn't look nice on the table either. Then six starters (three different ones) were served three times and over at least 10 minutes. The same thing happened with the main courses: first we got rice six times and then five dishes in turn. The sixth dish didn't arrive until 15 minutes later and after asking twice what was ordered. This was then served without the waiter having the idea that the rice could have been cold for a long time. When it came to desserts, the coconut ice cream came first, then 10 minutes later the coconut ice cream with banana and finally the banana split. Conclusion: the food was good overall and the ingredients were also of good quality. The portions were ok too. On the other hand, the dishes are nothing fancy and are not much different from food in terms of choice or taste. what you also get at a good Thai snack bar. For example, there are four curries (yellow, red, green, massaman) and either chicken, tofu, shrimp, beef or duck. The same thing as "Thai wok" etc. In the end there are maybe 6 different main dishes, which is something you can manage as a kitchen. The service didn't convince us at all. A good "fine dining" kitchen must be able to get six meals on the table - at least approximately - at the same time and not within 15 minutes. We didn't have any special requests, just standard dishes. Nevertheless, there wasn't a course where the first person at the table didn't finish eating before the last person even got their food. Neither a comment nor an apology - it's just laughed away. The bill for six people was 300 euros. That would actually be fine after everyone has had three courses - if the service is right.

I only recognize fine dining here by the price. I ordered salmon with red curry and rice. For €23, mind you, I got two pieces of dry salmon, a small bowl of red sauce and dry rice. Since the menu said curry, I expected vegetables to be served with the fish. In addition, my food was served significantly later than my friends'. The explanation for this was that the salmon is freshly prepared and therefore it takes longer. In this case, I think the preparation should have started earlier. Unfortunately, the TOM KHA GA soup was also pretty flat in taste. For dessert we ordered sticky rice. I also found this very expensive in relation to the portion size, but still tasty. The selection of vegetarian dishes is not available, especially when it comes to starters. The service is very attentive.

Best Thai in the entire region. Quality is excellent and consistent. The atmosphere is nice and the service is always courteous. There are parking spaces right in front of the door. Unreservedly recommended.

Great ambience, very friendly service and super delicious food! We felt very comfortable and can only recommend it. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was visually beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The 41 bus stops right in front of the door and there are also parking spaces. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Fair prices.

The Thai curry was unfortunately very spicy, even though it wasn't specified as spicy. Wasn't edible for someone who doesn't eat very spicy food. The person on the phone was very nice, but said you can't prepare Thai curry without being spicy. This is new to me, but if that is the case then it would be appropriate to point this out when ordering over the phone and say that this cannot be offered as requested.

We felt well looked after by the very friendly service staff in the absolutely unusual location with high-quality interior. The pancakes with tender duck breast fillet (Roti Dack) were surprisingly crispy and the dressing was very tasty. Unfortunately, the duck meat was very dry. In any case, this appetizer turned out to be more sophisticated than the shrimp cakes (Thod Man Gung), which were also very crispy and fried, but unfortunately quite fatty. The main courses were much spicier than you would expect from conventional Thai restaurants: very good red Thai curry with chicken and the paneng curry, which - as usual - was gently flavored with fish sauce. The latter was ordered with beef, which was also very dry. Overall, the restaurant stands out from the usual Thai restaurants, but will not be on our list of favorite restaurants.

Very tasty Thai with a manageable menu and very tasty dishes! Tofu was okay, rice dishes with beef were very tasty and the noodles with chicken were also highly recommended. Pleasant atmosphere (if you're into that) with a small temple, rumors that are reminiscent of Asia and typical Thai interior design.

Finally managed to visit this restaurant after my friends raved so much and as a critical food lover I was not disappointed in any way. Just entering the restaurant felt like entering another world, everything was decorated meticulously and with great attention to detail. Then we decided on two different dishes but both with shrimp because the other guests' plates inspired us, which was absolutely not a mistake. Huge tiger prawns perfectly prepared, not overcooked and chewy but nice and tender and still with a bite. The employees were absolutely friendly and accommodating, especially the two men, who served us brilliantly. And even the toilets have more of a spa feel than a restaurant restroom. So any praise is more than deserved, we will visit there more often in the future, because there are still a few dishes on the menu that we still have to test.

This was our second time here and we really enjoyed it again. The food is very tasty and the service is attentive and friendly. I also think the fish sauce with chili is great as an extra request from me.

Baan Sukhothai describes itself as a fine dining restaurant serving Thai cuisine. It is family run and very friendly. Unfortunately there was no service in our case, so that a completely full restaurant initially had to be served by just one person and later by two. I felt very sorry for both of them because there are a lot of tables to be served. The restaurant has a very special ambience and is furnished with great attention to detail. The menu offers many authentic Thai dishes. We chose a green curry and the fish - both dishes that were not marked as spicy. Both dishes were tasty, but so borderline spicy that you had to happily resort to the jasmine rice. So if you don't like spiciness, you should be warned to ask the waitress about it ;) We'd love to come back - maybe we'll have a bit more luck with the staff situation.

I ordered something to take away for dinner this evening. It was W2 pad nam man hoi. The meal was a disaster, for €20.90. DUCK was so dry, from the day before, no spices, not even salt! Unfortunately I couldn't eat any more, it was such an old and dry duck and I was annoyed! Such impudence! I would have preferred to cook pasta at home, put sousse on it and taste it! The beautiful ambience doesn't matter if the food doesn't taste good! For the food, not a single star!

Very nice restaurant, food very tasty, service very friendly, food came very quickly. High prices. The first visit was in January, and the “old” menu is currently still available online. When we visited a few days ago, all dishes, including starters, were €1 more expensive. 2 main courses, 1 starter and two non-alcoholic drinks were around €60.

Ich liebe dieses Lokal. Super leckeres Essen, hervorragender Service und eine tolle Ambiente. Immer wieder gerne. Das Essen ist sehr authentisch thailändisch.

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren schon öfter in diesem Lokal und es war alles immer top! Dieses Mal lief Einiges schief. Wir waren wie immer eine größere Gruppe und als die Speisen an den Tisch kamen wurde vom Personal mehrmals die falsche Nummer genannt, so dass das Essen falsch zugeordnet wurde. Kann durchaus fatal sein, wenn jemand Unverträglichkeiten hat, oder die Schärfe nicht verträgt. Für ein Kind hatten wir nur Nudeln bestellt, es kam ein komplettes Gericht mit Fleisch und Gemüse, welches nicht gegessen wurde. Das Kind aß am Ende dann trockenen Reis. Geschmacklich war es wieder sehr gut, wobei die Portionsgröße der Gerichte mit Meeresfrüchten kleiner geworden ist. Alles in allem gut, aber meine Begeisterung für das Lokal hat sich gelegt.

Ich war in den letzten Monaten insgesamt dreimal hier und immer begeistert. Geschmacklich ist das Essen erste Sahne. Ich habe mich sowohl am Pad Thai als auch in der Wok-Ecke vergnügt. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist überzeugend. Was mir zudem gut gefällt, ist die Reservierung online über Google. Das hat zuverlässig funktioniert. Auch das Parken im Umfeld abends ist kein Problem!

Leider enttäuschend, das Lokal macht zwar einen gemütlichen Eindruck, auch der Service ist top, jedoch das Essen hat mit Thailand nicht sehr viel zu tun. Sehr geschmacksverstärkte Sossen, wenig Gemüse, Ente und Fisch waren sehr trocken.

Gehobenes Thailändisches Restaurant mit umfangreichem Speisen und Getränke Angebot (Weinkarte!). Die Hauptggerichte sind jeweils mit dreierlei Fleisch (Huhn, Rind oder Ente), aber auch mit Tofu (wunderbar locker und nicht gummiartig wie häufig) zur Auswahl. Zudem gibt es ein reichliches Angebot von originellen Vorspeisen und Nachspeisen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise bleiben im Rahmen und sind in Anbetracht der Qualität des Gebotenen jedenfalls angebracht. Insgesamt: sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Reading the reviews, I had high expectations. However, there was nothing exceptional. At first I got the wrong order, later when the right one was served, the food had a very basic taste. I was not impressed and don't think I'll give it another try.

Das ist ein Kurzurlaub in Thailand. Reicht und schmeckt wie in Thailand und der Service ist genauso herzlich und zuvorkommend wie in Thailand. Sowohl das Restaurant als auch die Speisen sind liebevoll dekoriert. Immer wieder gerne!

We were very surprised by the beautiful ambience inside of the restaurant. Also, the stuff is a very helpful and friendly. We had three different vegetarian dishes. The dishes came quite fast and there was a lot to eat. The food looks very nicely prepared, but the taste is very sweet. no matter how spicy the dishes have been that was too much sugar added, and at the end the stomach didn’t feel good anymore.

Wir waren zum ersten mal in diese Restaurant. Vorweg - ich gehe gerne asiatisch essen und gerne auch in die "besseren Lokale". Das Essen - Thai Curry mit Ente sowie ein zweites Thai Gericht mit Ente und vorweg kleine Frühlingsrollen waren wirklich sehr gut. Ebenso freundlich war der Service. Allerdings sind die Gerichte verglichen mit gleichwertigen Restaurants und der Lage eindeutig zu teuer. Auch die Qualität, der Geschmack und sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Service rechtfertigt dies nicht. Fast 21 EUR für ein Thai Curry mit Ente ist einfach zu viel. Gleichwertige Restaurants in der Innenstadt von Augsburg oder sogar München sind günstiger. Mehr wie 18 EUR dürfte für das Gericht einfach nicht sein. Zusätzlich wenn man bedenkt, dass das Lokal am Rande von Augsburg sich befindet. Will man seine Betriebskosten decken, sollte man eher Wert auf ein gefülltes Restaurant legen, was zu meinem Besuch keinesfalls der Fall war. Zusätzlich sollte der Service öfter nachfragen, ob man noch etwas zu trinken möchte - dies hat mir etwas gefehlt. Ohne den Kellner abzupassen und herzuwinken hätte ein zweites Getränk nicht funktioniert. (wir saßen im Außenbereich). Ich würde gerne öfter kommen, bei diesen Preisen wird dies aber wohl nur zu besonderen Anlässen der Falls ein.

Kurz und knapp: mega!!! Sehr zu empfehlen!!! Top Thai-Restaurant!!! Schon der erste Eindruck beim herein kommen: seeehr schöne authentische Location. Und die Speisen: klasse! Sehr lecker, sehr aromatisch, optisch toll angerichtet. Unbedingt einen Besuch wert!!!

Das Gebäude außen ist sehr alt, aber das Restaurant innen ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und daher sehr gemütlich. Das Essen ist super aromatisch und lecker!
