Absolute Empfehlung für dieses Lokal 🌞 Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort, die Aussicht ist grandios und der Service sehr gut. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse mit unseren beiden Hunden, diese bekamen direkt eine Schüssel mit Wasser gebracht. Die Speisen waren sehr gut angerichtet und schmeckten hervorragend. Absolute Empfehlung, am besten Reserviert man vorab.

Vom Restaurant aus hat man einen wunderschönen Panoramablick auf die Berge. Der Service war wirklich hervorragend – der Kellner war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam schnell. Alles war unglaublich lecker. Besonders das Vanilleeis mit heißen Himbeeren können wir absolut empfehlen – einfach sooo gut 😍 Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Kurz und bündig: Wir waren begeistert, das Gasthaus strahlt bayerische Gemütlichkeit aus, das Essen war hervorragend und der Service überragend. Wir mussten ein wenig länger auf unser Essen warten, die Bedienung hat uns darauf hingewiesen und uns als Entschädigung nach dem Essen Eis, Schnaps oder Kaffee angeboten.

Wunderbares Essen und herzlicher Service im Berggasthaus Weingarten Wir waren heute im Berggasthaus Weingarten essen und sind absolut begeistert! * Der Service: Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. * Das Essen: Die Qualität ist exzellent und die Portionen sind wirklich ordentlich. Ich hatte das Holzfällersteak, das wunderbar zart und auf den Punkt zubereitet war. Man merkt sofort: Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk, besonders was die Fleischzubereitung angeht! * Frische wird großgeschrieben: Dass die Haxe heute leider schon aus war, haben wir sportlich genommen – im Gegenteil, es spricht absolut für die Qualität. Der Koch bereitet diese täglich frisch vor, und wenn sie weg ist, ist sie eben weg. Das ist uns tausendmal lieber als aufgewärmte Massenware! * Preis-Leistung: Die Preise sind für die gebotene Qualität und Menge absolut fair und gut. Fazit: Ein tolles Haus in Ruhpolding, das wir wärmstens empfehlen können. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

🌟 Eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche im Berggasthaus Weingarten Wir hatten eine insgesamt sehr schöne Urlaubswoche im Berggasthaus Weingarten in Ruhpolding. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die traumhafte Lage des Hauses mit einem tollen Blick über Ruhpolding – einfach herrlich zum Entspannen! Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wurden täglich gereinigt – das hat uns besonders gut gefallen und trägt zum Wohlfühlfaktor bei. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, auch wenn wir uns eine Buffetform gewünscht hätten, um etwas flexibler in der Auswahl zu sein. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und immer auf Zack – das hat den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich, allerdings wäre ein moderner Bodenbelag statt Teppich wünschenswert. Das Essen im Restaurant war ausgezeichnet, geschmacklich top! Lediglich die Portionen beim Beilagen- und Krautsalat hätten etwas großzügiger ausfallen dürfen. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt war die Bettwäsche aus 100 % Polyester, was für uns nicht ganz angenehm war. Umso schöner, dass die Dame vom Housekeeping auf Nachfrage sofort andere Bettwäsche zur Verfügung gestellt hat – vielen Dank für den tollen Service! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat auf jeden Fall gestimmt – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und fanden die Leistungen absolut angemessen für den Preis. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen war der Abschluss unseres Aufenthalts: Der Kellner bot uns freundlicherweise einen Schnaps aufs Haus an, was wir sehr nett fanden. Als wir uns für einen Edelbrand entschieden, wurde uns jedoch mitgeteilt, dass dieser nicht inkludiert sei und wir nur eine günstigere Sorte bekommen könnten. Bei einem Preisunterschied von vielleicht 1€ und einer Buchung über eine ganze Woche fanden wir das etwas kleinlich – hier wäre ein großzügigerer Umgang schön gewesen. Ein paar nachhaltige Aspekte wie die Wahl der Materialien der Bettwäsche oder die Frühstücksform könnten noch optimiert werden – das aber nur als freundlicher Verbesserungsvorschlag. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hervorragende "Bayrische Küche"! Wir haben bereits im Mai 2025 hier Einkehr gehalten. Im Oktober 2025 unveränderte Qualität der Speisen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Our stay at the Berggasthaus Weingarten was simply wonderful. From the moment you arrive, you sense the special atmosphere – warm, well-maintained, and designed with great attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the stylish and exceptionally clean rooms, where you immediately feel at home. The entire hotel also impresses with its meticulous furnishings, which perfectly reflect the character of the region. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and ensures that you lack nothing. Whether for dining, staying overnight, or simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings – the Berggasthaus Weingarten is highly recommended. Everything is just right here: quality, cleanliness, style, and hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

We've been coming here once a year for 25 years. We're very happy with everything.

I ate there twice within a week because it's simply amazing. The beer sauce was so amazing I almost licked the plate clean. The knuckle of pork was one of the best I've ever eaten. A tip: pre-order here. See you on your next Chiemgau vacation.

You have to bring cash, otherwise you'll have to go downhill to get it. It's not mentioned anywhere; only cash counts here. If only the food were special, but it isn't.

A beautifully situated and well-maintained mountain inn! We've been guests here for seven years in a row, staying in various holiday apartments. All the apartments are simply fantastic and have a beautiful view. The food in the restaurant leaves nothing to be desired, and the staff is very friendly. The knuckle of pork is delicious, with a crispy crust! We highly recommend the Berggasthof Weingarten!

The closest you can be to the feeling of being at home and totally comfortable!! Nothing overly fancy about the place, mind you, for those looking for glitz and glamour! On the other hand, if heavenly views, simple good food and warm hospitality, the kind - as I have said earlier also - that makes you feel at home, it is the 'perfekt' choice in the area!! So much peace and quiet as you want or can absorb! My first choice, always!!

Sehr bemühtes und freundliches Personal. Die Aussicht von der Terasse ist unbezahlbar. Das gut bürgerliche Essen ist hervorragend. Suppe mit selbstgemachten Leberspätzle. Gulasch von eigenen Rindern. Das Vanilleeis zu den leckeren Apfelküchle ist sehr cremig. Dazu einen guten Zweigelt und einen Schnaps von "Prinz". Was will man mehr.

A week in advance, we called to reserve a table and serve the knuckle of pork. What was served? No table reservation, no knuckle of pork.

Great location, beautiful hotel, well-furnished rooms with exceptions. Plenty of parking. No card payments, no music, windows without insect screens, skylights that don't open, poor Wi-Fi, breakfast every time. Leaving room 11, you're three steps in the dark (risk of accident). Rooms are accessible to everyone from the outside (door handle). Cleaning staff knock briefly and then immediately enter the room. The food was mediocre for us. The restaurant is closed Monday-Tuesday, so it's more expensive. Price for Monday-Tuesday is the same, though. Accommodation: 3 nights in 2 economy double rooms: €660.00. In our opinion, Aperol Spritz is a ready-made mix, the waitress confirmed. We found the ventilation in the bathroom to be non-functional; when asked, it was very quiet and we were told to hold a piece of paper against it. The notice regarding waste separation is ineffective; there are no waste separation containers available. However, the garbage truck parks with its hatch open directly under the window. (But the guys deserve a coffee.)

New review 2025: This time we were guests at the mountain inn again and had pre-ordered two knuckle of pork and a table a week in advance. When we arrived at the mountain inn, we were met with a bitter and sad surprise. There was no reservation in our name. The waitress also didn't know about the two pre-ordered knuckles and said that the knuckle was already sold out, or rather, that it had been pre-ordered four times and that no more could be ordered... As you can read from other reviews here, this seems to be a fairly regular occurrence. The waitress was also able to confirm this, saying that reservations are often lost by the boss when he accepts them, as in our case. In terms of customer loyalty and also for one's own business, this is an absolute no-go. You can only feel sorry for the waitress, because it's not her fault that her boss is sloppy. It's also very weak that, apart from an apology from the manager, there was no compensation offered as a gesture of goodwill, such as a partial bill waiver or drinks on the house. That would be appropriate in an inn with an understanding of good service. Last but not least, I also wonder why the knuckle of pork is even on the regular menu if you can't actually get it as a regular guest without pre-ordering. A small downside: The substitute roast pork was extremely delicious – I've rarely had such a good meal. Nevertheless: Such a mistake cannot and must not happen. Especially when, as it seems, it occurs very regularly. And if it does, I expect more consideration than just a verbal apology. This was our last visit to the Weingarten. The 2019 rating is therefore now being adjusted to 1 star. Review from 2019: Fantastic food (the best knuckle of pork in Bavaria), fair prices, friendly service, wonderful view, and clean and nice restrooms, also well signposted.

Great accommodation with warm hosts and delicious, home-style cuisine. We had two spacious rooms with newly renovated bathrooms in the main building. The breakfast buffet was completely sufficient and in the evening there was something for every taste. Regarding celiac disease: gluten-free rolls for breakfast were also no problem. In the evening, some of the dishes were adjusted a little, so there were enough gluten-free options for my wife. It was around 20 minutes by car to the Winklmoosalm/Steinplatte ski area. All in all, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

They still exist! The restaurants with incredibly good and hearty Bavarian cuisine! The food was incredibly good, whether it was roast, homemade(!) spaetzle or dumplings...and the prices were right. The service is on point and friendly. After several failures in Ruhpolding, we finally found our new local restaurant. No shikimiki and frills. Simply good food!

Good food but still cannot believe in 2024 there are places dont accept credit cards. We were lucky we had friends with cash on them, we got to know about no cards only when we had to pay. They said it was mentioned on menu,but it was written sooo small..come on leave the middle age

We were only there to eat, very friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing, very, very tasty food. The only negative point is that it is not obvious that you cannot pay by card, it is stated in the menu at the bottom of the first page. Can highly recommend it and would love to come back.

For us, it was the first time in Ruhpolding and the first time in the Gasthaus Weingarten - a clear recommendation! About the location: we were there in the evening, but even in the dark you could already see what a fantastic view you have from the inn or the beer garden. We had the Wiener Schnitzel (which was actually two) & the pork fillet, both high quality and super tasty! I would like to highlight the wait staff, who were also very friendly and made sure that all guests didn't miss anything. As a little treat, we were lucky that the local traditional costume club had a meeting that was accompanied by typical Bavarian tavern music. An all-round successful evening that once again showed why we live in the most beautiful state in the republic.

Guys, I can tell you that we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The knuckles are absolutely amazing! The Swiss schnitzel is a poem!!! The prices are absolutely fair and the service is outstanding!! A little note: order the knuckle in advance by phone and a place in the restaurant. You won't be disappointed!!

Nice restaurant with good food and extremely attentive service staff. Unfortunately, our drinks didn't arrive until after the meal and the side dishes (fries and fried potatoes) were unfortunately cold. This was changed immediately after a small complaint and we received new inserts. However, “our” waitress made up for it with outstanding service and the children received a scoop of ice cream as compensation! The view from the terrace and the small playground is of course more than just great! That makes the experience even better! All in all, really a recommendation! The only real drawback is that you can't pay by card! Neither EC nor credit card! This is also on the first page of the menu, but also rather inconspicuously!

Was für ein Service!!! DANKESCHÖN an den Engel mit Auto, der Jungs rettet...

Zu den Zimmern kann ich leider nichts sagen, da wir hier nur gegessen haben. Zum Restaurant: Wow! Was ein super schönes Restaurant. Innen super eingerichtet, reichlich Platz, phänomenales Essen. Waren während unserem Besuch in Ruhpolding sogar zwei Mal hier weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Super nettes Kellnerteam, aufmerksam, schnell und lustig. Unsere beiden Hunde waren auch sehr willkommen. Kann das Restaurant des Berggasthaus Weingarten uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die Aussicht ist super und ein kleiner Geheimtipp für Silvester, da man über ganz Ruhpolding gucken kann. Nur die Berg und Talfahrt mit dem Auto ist ein wenig "aufregend".
