Unternberg Alm in Ruhpolding

Portionen eher überschaubar und sind erst nach langer Wartezeit und ungleichmäßig bis zu 30 min unterschied gekommen Bedienungen sind verplant und nur mäßig freundlich gewesen. Preis Leistung ist auch eher nicht zufriedenstellend Alm ist überlaufen von Seilbahn Touristen Reservierung notwendig

Tolle Almhütte mit Blick auf die Alpen und den Chiemsee. Essen und Getränke super und sehr freundliches Personal. Fahrt mit der Sesselbahn einwandfrei.

Schöner Ausblick. Leider kam mein Spezi erst als ich gehen wollte.

So eine schöne Almhütte, einmalig und sehr sehr zu empfehlen. Das Essen war köstlich, die Terrasse gepflegt und der Gasthaus innen super schön eingerichtet und ausgeleuchtet. Wunderbar ist es hoch zu wandern, einzukehren und dann mit dem Sessellift runter zu fahren.

Wir waren gestern Gäste auf einer Party in der Unternberg Alm. Mit einem tollen leckerem Menü….die Linsenkokossuppe war der Hammer, so lecker und die Hauptspeise ebenso. Dazu das wunderbare Ambiente der Hütte (alter Flair geschmackvoll erhalten und modern gestaltet) und die phänomenale Aussicht durch die riesige Panoramascheibe. Der Service ist einwandfrei und das gesamte Personal, samt Wirtsleid so lieb und freundlich!!! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

Die Alm ist rustikal modern, also sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Meine Gulaschsuppe war wohl nicht hausgemacht, hat aber trotzdem sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Essen der Nebentische schienen auch alle lecker gewesen zu sein. Die Speisekarte geht weit über das hinaus, was man auf einer Alm normalerweise erwartet. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, nicht zuletzt weil offensichtlich auch viele Einheimische hier her kommen. Freundlicher Service.

Ich weiß nicht, an welchem Ort ich lieber sitze, trinke und esse! Waren jetzt 2x in 3 Tagen da und die Feier am 1. Mai kann nichts mehr übertrumpfen! Danke an das ganze Team!!!

Bedienung ist leider total unorganisiert. Wir hatten mit drei Damen zu tun, mussten 20 Min. warten bis wir mal bestellen duften und nochmal so lange bis wir bezahlen durften. Weil wir was Essen wollten sollten wir uns umsetzen, weil es den Damen wohl zu weit zum Tragen war - gehts noch?! Aussicht ist natürlich super und Essen war auch gut, aber mit dem Service geht einfach viel verloren.

Wie waren am 1.5. dort und waren begeistert. Super Band, mega Stimmung. Der Außenbereich ist schön gestaltet und innen modern. Tolle Aussicht

Schöne Aussicht. Mega coole Veranstaltungen. Sau gutes Essen und geile Spritzgetränke. Sehr empfehlenswert sind die Aperolbäume und Bergbauern Pizza. Der Inhaber und seine Freundin sind auch sehr freundlich.

Unglaublich schön gemachte Almhütte. Wahnsinnig schöne Aussicht bei Abwechslungsreichen Getränken und Speisen. Super nettes Personal und da steckt so viel Liebe im Detail in dem Lokal.... wir sind völlig überwältigt von der Almhütte und der schönen Aussicht am Tisch.

Absolut begeistert von der Qualität dort. Die Atmosphäre, der Service, das Essen-alles wirklich genial. Man kann sich sehr wohl fühlen, ob als Gruppe, mit Kids oder zu zweit. Weiter so ihr seid spitze:)

Keine Folklore, sondern authentische Alm mit Haltung. Großartige Lage, ehrliche Küche, entspannte Atmosphäre. Ein Platz, der wirkt, ohne laut zu sein.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. War mit meiner Freundin hier zum Mittagessen. Die Almhütte liegt direkt neben dem Sessellift und ist daher gut erreichbar. Sehr nettes Personal und gemütliches Ambiente - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir hatten eine Geburtstagsfeier mit knapp 40 Personen auf der Alm. Es war alles perfekt 😊 Nach einer netten Vorbesprechung wurde alles nach unseren Wünschen gestaltet und organisiert. Das Essen war super lecker und so schön angerichtet. Alle Essen kamen zusammen und wir konnten einen gemütlichen Abend genießen. Unsere beiden Kellner waren super sympathisch und unkompliziert! Es war alles liebevoll hergerichtet und die Aussicht am Abend war der Wahnsinn 🌄 Jederzeit wieder 😀

Schön gelegen, mit dem Sessellift gut zu erreichen. Sonntags ist Reservierung empfohlen. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen sehr freundlich einen Platz ohne Reservierung. Der Tisch war reserviert, wir durften uns eine Stunde hinsetzen und in Ruhe essen.

Waiters who enjoy their jobs. Chefs who put a lot of thought into the menu and put a lot of love into the dishes. It's simply a wonderful place to have a wonderful memory of the staff and the food, which will keep you positively cherished for a long time. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

The hut is certainly very pretty, but it's all the more popular because of the cable car. The surrounding view is very appealing. You can also see Lake Chiemsee. We were disappointed by the overpriced Kaiserschmarrn. For €15.00, we would have expected something different. It's a shame that there are such differences.

Absolute rip-off: €10 admission for a mediocre band at a hut where you just want to have a drink. Better off going a few meters further to the Boideralm. Much more authentic and nicer, not as expensive or outrageous.

The Unternberg Alm is simply a dream! A modern alpine hut with an incredibly cozy atmosphere, where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. The food is outstanding – fresh, regional, and lovingly prepared. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive; you immediately feel welcome here. Truly, nothing is left to be desired. One of our favorite spots.

We've been there a few times in winter because the path is manageable even in snow. As always, absolutely delicious food and great drinks. I would recommend making a reservation no matter what time of year or day, as there's always something going on.

Unfortunately, the Unternberg Alm no longer resembles a normal alpine pasture: There's a simple path up there and a gondola, which means it's very busy, and you usually only get a spot with a reservation. There are also regular events with live bands, etc. - you can find them either good or bad on the mountain. Unfortunately, the service is sometimes short-tempered; the food is okay, but not commensurate with the high price. In general, it feels more like a tourist hotspot and has nothing to do with the rustic, traditional alpine pastures.

Wonderful view of the mountains, the alpine pasture itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the drinks and food didn't work out today. It's a shame we come here every year, but this year it didn't work out. We hope for the next time and will be back. Until then, have a great time.

The waiter was not smiling and was not very polite. The music was a bit laud.

Beautiful alpine pasture with delicious Kaiserschmarn

Super-fast service, truly delicious food, lovingly prepared and presented, and a beautiful view from the terrace. The prices are reasonable for an alpine pasture. All in all, very inviting.

A typical, overcrowded, "hip" tourist restaurant! The portions were small and not entirely satisfactory for the price. I paid €17 for a small pile of salad and two small dumplings. We would have preferred a bit more pickles and vegetables in the sausage salad. After complaining, the waitress replied, "I can't make the portions!" A few minutes later, another waitress apologized, and I was given another salad. Better to go to a small, rustic mountain hut for dinner. I don't need the electronic music.

Fantastic view and a perfect cappuccino The Unternberg Alm not only offers a fantastic view of Ruhpolding and the surrounding mountains, but also a very cozy and well-kept ambiance. I enjoyed a cappuccino here that was both delicious and visually appealing – perfectly prepared and enjoyed on the sunny terrace with a panoramic view, it tastes twice as good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the entire hut has a modern, clean, and yet typically Alpine feel. A great place for a break after hiking or simply to enjoy the view. In conclusion: If you're in Ruhpolding, you should definitely stop here – if only for the combination of view and cappuccino.

A modern alpine hut with a fantastic view. Overall, we had a good stop yesterday after the strenuous hike up. The shandy on tap was very refreshing. Unfortunately, we deducted a bit of a rating because the hot chocolate was almost cold, but upon request, they gave us a hot one. The Kaiserschmarrn was delicious, but a bit overpriced in retrospect, and our dish still had roasted aromas from the dish that had been cooked in the pan before. The staff was helpful, but unfortunately seemed a bit abrupt. We didn't feel entirely welcome.

Everything is just right here. The alpine hut is quite new and well-maintained. The ambiance is very harmonious and inviting. The restrooms are in top-notch condition. The food was consistently good, and the service was first-class and, above all, prompt. We would come back anytime and highly recommend the hut. It also seems to be very popular with locals.

Das Unternberg-Team, hat mir als Querschnittsgelähmter ermöglicht mit meinem Liegemountainbike die wunderschöne Bergwelt der Chiemgauer Alpen zu erklimmen, mein besonderer Dank geht an Flo mit seinem kompletten Team👍, die Hütte ist auf einem Hochplateau in hervorragender Lage, von der aus man in nördliche Richtung weit über den Chiemsee hinaus sehen kann und in südliche Richtung einiges der Österreichischen Bergwelt sieht, des Weiteren wird man sehr freundlich mit hervorragenden Speisen und Getränke (z.B. Wieninger Bier) versorgt. Die Alm ist zu Fuß, mit dem Radl über steile gut befestigte Wege und über ein zweier Sessellift erreichbar!, Danke für die schöne Zeit👌

The view comes first, simply fantastic. The service isn't quite to my taste. You're deliberately ignored, especially by the male waitress!!! Younger women were served first!

Our Kaiserschmarn was okay, but the €15 per portion is a bit high in my opinion. Nice, fast service, and the view is truly amazing. Prices are always a bit controversial, but otherwise everything was perfect, so 5 stars overall.

Our waitress, Armin, provided the best entertainment! Good food, good beer—what more could you want after a moderately difficult hike? 👌🏼 The only thing that wasn't ideal was the weather... but if the alpine pasture had any influence on that, we'd have to give it 6 stars 😉 The view from the top, at least of Ruhpolding and what we saw, was amazing!

Unfortunately our visit on April 27th corresponded. in the afternoon did not meet expectations. There was a sign at the terrace entrance saying you would be seated. Despite repeated eye contact with the staff, we were not spoken to. Other waiting guests then sat down independently, but were also not served. Overall, it gave the impression that only very few service staff (approx. three) were responsible for the fully occupied outdoor area. After about 30 minutes of waiting without service, we decided to leave. It's a shame because the atmosphere was otherwise promising.

We were on the mountain pasture with our son (7 months). I asked for a place to breastfeed or if I could have the porridge warmed up for my child. This was rejected because the kitchen capacity was needed. But they would bring me a bowl of hot water for the porridge. This didn't happen. Unfortunately there was no changing place either. It's a shame, the atmosphere is nice and the taste of the cake was okay, but the child-friendliness definitely needs to be worked on.

Very nice hut, nice and attentive service, unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn was really bad, dry and without any taste. The neighbors at the table had the same impression, but the other dishes were highly praised and also looked appetizing.

Sunday April 13th, 2025 was up with a mountain bike, and just wonderful, the service and the sausage salad were just great, compliments and see you soon again 🍀🌞👍 PS: EC card works

Very nice alpine pasture, it's a great place to stop off after a hike. The food and drinks are highly recommended. The service on the Alm is very friendly and accommodating. In season, the Alm can be easily reached with a chairlift.

We were there today on a very sunny Saturday lunchtime with many other guests. The service was also super friendly and quick that day.

It's very cozy. Although I don't recommend it in fog because you can't see anything.

An atmospheric restaurant with large windows to watch the views from the ski lift. There were a lot of people, which caused chaos and confusion. The food looked and smelled great, but unfortunately I don't know how it tasted because only warm drinks were ordered, i.e. coffee and mulled wine. Delicious, sweet wine with a distinctive anise flavor. The coffee is also good, although strong 👌 The views are of course the best 🏔️😍

A very nice pub with beautiful views at the top of the mountain 😊 but a bit small inside which makes it crowded, but outside you can sit and eat or drink under a blanket which is available to everyone while admiring the majestic views of the mountains 😊👌

After a hike, this alpine pasture comes in very handy. The view and the ambience are exactly what you would imagine an alpine hut to be like. The food is fabulous and the service is always friendly and helpful. The toilets are clean. I can only recommend it to everyone!
