Sehr gute Küche, freundliches Personal, sehr zu empfehlen

Schönes und gutes Restaurant direkt im Wellenbad. Ab 18 Uhr braucht man dringend eine Reservierung da man ansonsten schwierigen bekommen könnte bei einem Platz. Salate sind frisch und lecker sowie die Pizza auch sehr gut ist. Preislich ist auch noch recht günstig hier, wir haben zu 5 mit Getränken 85€ gezahlt.

Essen ist wirklich gut und ich kann es zu hundert Prozent empfehlen , auch die Bedienung war aufmerksam . Einziger Punkt der uns störte war als wir kamen und uns außen auf die zahlreichen leeren Plätze setzen wollten wurde uns gesagt nur noch innen . Auch andere Gäste wurden nach innen gebeten . Stammgäste kamen und zwinkerten dem Kellner zu wir dürfen doch außen sitzen , ihr natürlich. Schön ?

Sehr gutes Essen mit großen Portionen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Eine Reservierung ist auch in der Nebensaison empfehlenswert.

Der Essensbereich ist geteilt zwischen Schwimmbad und außerhalb. Essen im Schwimmbad war soweit lecker und gar nicht nur so schwimmbadmäßig. Service war leider unterirdisch.

Wenn es möglich wäre, würde ich mit null Punkten bewerten. Im Aussenbereich waren nahezu alle Tische leer und angeblich reserviert, daher wäre nur drinnen ein Tisch frei. Kaum sind wir gesessen, kamen ebenfalls Gäste ohne Reservierung, die nachdem sie gesagt haben sie würden gehen wenn sie nicht draussen sitzen könnten sofort im Aussenbereich einen Tisch bekommen haben. So behandelt man keine Gäste.

Wir waren am Wohnmobilstellplatz und sind abends dort zum essen hin, 300 Meter entfernt beim Vita Bad. Sehr freundlicher Service, große Auswahl an Speisen und man sitzt sehr schön in diesem Lokal (auch draußen auf der Terrasse möglich) Die Empfehlung war Leber und ich hab das DUO gegessen 👍🏼 danach noch ein Eis Dessert. Preislich total ok und bis wir fertig gegessen hatten war das Lokal voll! Also echte Weiterempfehlung, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir wollten nach dem Saunabesuch hier etwas essen, erhielten aber keinen Tisch ohne Reservierung. Das verwunderte mich, weil noch viele Tische frei waren und es schon 20 Uhr war. Wir bestellten Pizza zum Mitnehmen. Die Pizzen waren 20 Minuten später fertig, da waren noch immer viele Tische frei. Die Pizza war gut.

Ich besuchte dieses Lokal an einem sonnigen Sonntag zum Mittagessen und bekam ohne Reservierung einen Platz draußen. Es schien, als wären die meisten Gäste Einheimische, und es war sowohl drinnen als auch draußen gut besucht. Das Essen und das Bier waren lecker, und der Service (vor allem die Bedienung) war sehr freundlich. Ich kann dieses Lokal wärmstens empfehlen. Obwohl es wahrscheinlich nicht viele Koreaner anzieht, ist es ein gemütliches Restaurant und ein guter Ort für eine Pause nach einem Besuch im nahegelegenen Freizeitpark.

Sind hier zum Junggesellinenabschied eingekehrt und waren begeistert. Super liebes Personal, gutes Essen und Ambiente, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Danke für die tolle Bewirtung.

Wir waren dort auf Empfehlung, da wir ein Lokal gesucht hatten, welches auch nachmittags noch warme Küche anbietet. Erst waren wir etwas skeptisch, da man von anderen Restaurants in Schwimmbädern in der Regel nicht viel erwarten kann. Wir hatten beide den Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt. Geschmacklich sehr gut und die Rinderlende war so zart, man hätte denken können, es ist ein Rinderfilet. Die Bedienung war auch freundlich. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht.

Fast schon Tradition ist die Einkehr in "Der Welle" nach dem Besuch des Schwimmbades. Wir fühlen uns dort immer wieder sehr wohl, die Bedienung ist immer sehr freundlich und auch auf die Wünsche der Kinder wird super eingegangen. Sehr leckere selbstgemachte Limonaden und tolles Essen findet man hier. Sehr zu empfehlen! Ein tolles Lokal und wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch! Je nach Tageszeit ist eine Reservierung sinnvoll.

Ich gehe schon seid Jahren mit Familie und Freunden dort hin. Wir hatten bisher immer gute Erfahrungen gemacht ob es mit dem Personal oder mit dem Essen war. Eine Küche die auch Nachmittags geöffnet ist.

Habe eigentlich "Calamari vom Grill" bestellt..insgesamt viel zu ölig gewesen und die Tintenfischtuben hatten einen ungewohnt mehligen Nachgeschmack. Service war nett aber Qualität und Preis-Leistung nicht angemessen.

Spontan mit der Familie zum Abendessen gekommen und direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Der Service ist schnell und sehr freundlich, Getränke und Speisen kamen zügig und haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Da wir abends bei kühlem Wetter dort saßen, konnten wir leider nicht auf die Terasse zum Essen. Das holen wir im Sommer gerne nach. Preis Leistung ist top, klare Empfehlung!

Meine Frau und ich waren nun öfter in diesem Restaurant. Bis jetzt sind wir immer sehr zufrieden gewesen. Der Service ist schnell, aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und ist reichlich zu einem angemessenen Preis. Wichtig reservieren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Waren heut Mittag da, super freundlich und zuvorkommend

Ambiente eher sportlich, da am/im Schwimmbad angesiedelt, aber durchaus angenehm. Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Essen war super, da ich Fan von Zwiebelrost bin, kam ich auf Empfehlung, und .....meine Erwartung wurde vollkommen erfüllt. Perekt gegrillt, sehr gute Fleisch Qualität, Beilagen etc. Alles klasse. Ich komme gern wieder. Weiter so.....!

Super leckeres Essen Jederzeit wieder

Ich war am Freitag zum Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant. Ich bestellte eine Pizza, die in anderen Restaurants üblicherweise nur mit Sardellen und ohne zusätzliche Salami zubereitet wird. Da ich davon ausging, dass nur Sardellen enthalten sind, habe ich die Speisekarte nicht ganz genau gelesen. Als ich dem Kellner mitteilte, dass ich keine Salami esse, reagierte er sehr unfreundlich und sagte: „Sie müssen das Menü genau lesen! Entweder Sie essen die Pizza so, oder ich verpacke sie Ihnen zum Mitnehmen – bezahlen müssen Sie sie aber in jedem Fall.“ Wir wurden anschließend völlig ignoriert und sehr kühl behandelt. Von Kundenorientierung konnte hier wirklich keine Rede sein. Als wir bezahlen wollten, legte der Kellner lediglich das EC-Gerät auf den Tisch und forderte uns auf, die Karte einzustecken. Auch die übliche Frage, ob uns das Essen geschmeckt habe, blieb aus. So einen unfreundlichen, arroganten und kalten Service haben wir noch nie erlebt ! Wir werden in keinem Fall wiederkommen!

Die Welle ist ein Restaurant zu dem wir seit Jahren immer wieder gerne gehen, wenn wir im Urlaub in der Ecke sind. Das Essen ist sehr gut und auf der Karte ist für jeden etwas dabei. Bei unseren letzten Besuch mussten wir nur Bekanntschaft mit einem sehr kühlen, unfreundlichen und widersprüchlichen Kellner machen. Er behandelt die Leute von oben herab, ist sehr unflexibel bei Reservierungen und schickt generell erst mal die Leute wieder weg, obwohl freie Tische im Restaurant waren. Zum Glück gab es sehr nette Kolleginnen an seiner Seite, die die Situation wieder retten konnten. So etwas vergrault Gäste, was für die Welle, die seit Jahren beliebt ist, leider nicht positiv ist.

Wirklich unfreundlicher und inkompetenter Service: der Serviceleiter hat uns direkt ins Gesicht gelogen. Wir wurden von einem plötzlichen starken Schneefall überrascht und nicht viele Restaurants hatten geöffnet, also wir wollten es hier versuchen. Ich habe gefragt, ob sie einen Tisch für zwei Personen (ohne Reservierung) hätten. Er sagte (ich glaube dass er Serviceleiter war), dass sie leider keine Tische frei hätten. Ich fragte, ob wir dann etwas zum Mitnehmen bekommen könnten, da wir sonst nichts zu essen finden würden. Wir wurden mit Menüs vorübergehend neben einer 4 köpfigen Familie an einem großen Tisch für 6–8 Personen platziert. Die Familie schien eigentlich nichts dagegen zu haben, also ich fragte mich, warum wir nicht einfach hier sitzen konnten. Wir bestellten und wurden während der Wartezeit wieder woanders neben der Tür hingesetzt. Etwa 10 Minuten später kam eine dreiköpfige Familie. Sie wurden gefragt, ob sie eine Reservierung hätten (nein, hatten sie nicht). Sie wurden gebeten, eine Stunde später wiederzukommen (sie waren nicht glücklich). Serviceleiter und ein anderer Kellner haben kurz geredet, und plötzlich, sie wurden neben dieser Familie platziert! Nun fragte ich den anderen Kellner, warum wir nicht dort sitzen konnten?! Er sagte: „Sie hatten eine Reservierung“, als hätten wir das ganze Gespräch nicht mitgehört lol. Ich fragte: “Dann warum hatten Sie keinen Tisch für diese Familie? Warum wurden sie gebeten eine Stunde zu warten?” Kam keine Antwort. 😅 Dann kam der Serviceleiter und sagte „Genau sie hatten eine reservierung”. Unglaublich - total schamlos. Nie wieder und das werde ich alle erzählen die nach Ruhpolding fahren wollen.

Zum wiederholten Mal bekommen wir nichts zu essen auf der Schwimmbad Seite, meine beiden Kinder zu tiefst enttäuscht das sie nicht mal ein Eis bekommen um 18:40. mehr braucht man dazu nicht sagen

In aller erster Linie ist es für ein "Bad-Restaurant" nicht schlecht. Der Service lässt zum Teil auf sich warten, ist dann aber sehr freundlich. Die Speisen sind wiederum dem Bad-Restaurant angemessen, ein Cordon Bleu aus der Friteuse und Pommes, die definitiv zu lange selbige gesehen hatten... Die Pizzen sind, laut Aussagen meiner Frau und unseren Freunden, hingegen recht gut gewesen. Wenn dann -irgendwann- endlich dieses Bad mal saniert wird, sollte man auch an ein ordentliches Mobiliar für die Gastronomie denken...

Ich muss sagen, so ein unfreundlicher, arroganter Kellner wie dort ist mir / uns noch nie untergekommen. Auf ganz einfache Fragen oder Bitten wie z. B. ob Kartenzahlung möglich ist oder man noch ein Ketchup haben kann wurde ziemlich genervt und seltsam reagiert. Dieser Mensch war so unangenehm, dass das wohl der erste Kellner war, der 0 Trinkgeld von uns erhalten hat. Und so wie das bei den Bewertungen rauszulesen ist, hatte er wohl nicht zufällig EINEN schlechten Tag. Einmal und nie wieder. Ich bin so fassungslos, dass ich hier leider nur mit 1 Stern bewerten muss. So gut kann kein Essen sein, dass es dieses Fehlverhalten wieder wett macht.

Nach dem Saunabesuch kurzfristig hier das Restaurant genutzt, um zu essen. Sehr sehr lecker, sehr freunsliches Personal, wunderschönes Restaurant, auch wenn in einem Schwimmbad. Wir hatten das Schweinefilet Schweizer Art, ein Gedicht. Sehr zu empfehlen, Reservierung erforderlich.

A nightmare of a restaurant! This restaurant was recommended to me, but I was utterly disappointed in every way! The ambiance? The dining room is not only far too cramped, but you also sit on garden chairs (???) and the noise level is horrendous! The food is mediocre, not bad, but certainly nothing special. But the absolute low point was the service. I have never experienced such rude treatment of guests in my life. When I simply asked if it would be possible to change tables, the server responded by wiping her face in front of a colleague. Apart from that, we were treated extremely rudely and coldly. The Welle is truly nothing more than a swimming pool snack bar, and that's an absolute disgrace!

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, as we were incredibly rudely turned away. Whatever you do, don't come without a reservation, otherwise you'll be treated just as disrespectfully as we were.

The food was okay. No complaints there. What was absolutely abysmal, however, was the service. Long waits to order and later to pay (even though the restaurant was practically empty), and unfriendly service. When we had trouble paying by card and asked for a second, the response was: "I don't have any, the restaurant is full" (note: there were exactly seven people in the restaurant). Completely inflexible and unfriendly! Even when we spontaneously added more people to our party, we received the same annoyed reply: "Can't do it, the restaurant is fully booked." In the end, more than half the tables were still free. Conclusion: If you don't care about service or friendliness, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I recommend ordering takeout.

The food was very good, the waiters were friendly, and the overall experience was extremely pleasant. The price was also excellent. I can highly recommend it!

Review: The Wave in Ruhpolding – Visit on Wednesday, November 29th Our visit on November 29th was unfortunately very disappointing. The waiter was consistently unfriendly and showed no professionalism or customer focus whatsoever. It was particularly irritating that white wine was poured into a glass that had previously contained red wine. When we pointed this out, the waiter showed no understanding and responded with further rudeness – completely unacceptable. Regrettably, the owner wasn't there that day, so we couldn't personally inform him of the problems. If the service were to significantly improve in the future, we would give the restaurant another chance – otherwise, we won't be returning.

Apparently, they fired the unfriendly staff member responsible for the many negative reviews here! Everything was fine for us.

We've been going to this wonderful restaurant for years and have always been very satisfied – both with the food and the service. Unfortunately, our last visit, on Wednesday, November 29, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., was very different from our previous visits. The waiter was extremely unfriendly and seemed completely unmotivated. He initially offered our two small terriers some water, and we were delighted by this thoughtful gesture. He then apparently forgot to offer it. When we asked about it later, we were told that he wasn't "responsible" for bringing water to dogs. We were quite taken aback! 😮‍💨 Normally, this kind of behavior would warrant a one-star rating. Such conduct is completely out of character with the otherwise excellent service we've come to expect here. It's a shame – you quickly lose regular customers with employees like this. Unfortunately, the owner was off work. We would have liked to discuss the matter in person. (Note: The last sentence about the owner is unrelated and appears to be a separate, unrelated comment. It has been omitted from the translation.) We sincerely hope that this was just a one-off and that the usual friendly service will be offered again in the future.

We ate here for the first time today. It was recommended to us. Everything was perfect. The location, the friendly staff, the relatively reasonable prices, the generous portions, and above all, the food was absolutely delicious. What more could you ask for?

After visiting the swimming pool with two adults and two children, we were craving the famous "pool fries," and it turned out to be a chic and good restaurant. Our meal was delicious and plentiful. The prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive. What more could you want?

Service was very unfriendly and we waited 30 minutes for two portions of fries.

My wife and I went there two days in a row. Once for Italian, once for German. Both times, the food and ambiance were perfect. We were very impressed. Another plus is that the food is served all day. On vacation, we usually have breakfast, are out and about during the day, and then eat again in the afternoon. The usual opening time of 5:00 p.m. is too late for us. A real insider tip, one you wouldn't expect from a "pool restaurant."

We always enjoy eating at the Welle. The food is excellent and varied: Croatian, Italian, and international. The team is very friendly and dedicated, and everything is quick. Prices range from normal to affordable. It can be quite noisy at times, so you should make a reservation in advance. It's also great that all the dishes are available to takeaway.

We were there in July; the food and service were excellent. BUT we had problems paying cashlessly...and the amount was debited twice. Since then, we've been trying to reach someone to get the money refunded (when paying, they told us to get in touch if anything went wrong). They haven't responded to our emails, and they haven't answered the phone. We're very disappointed with this level of customer service.

We ate at Welle, and everything was perfect, as always, regarding the food. When paying by card (Apple Pay), there was a rather unpleasant situation. The waiter said it didn't work. I immediately received a response that it worked, as usual with Apple Pay. He then showed me on his mobile device, which didn't mean anything. Of course, he wanted the money in cash, and I could write it down if it worked, and I wrote his name on my business card. Of course, it was on my bill the next day. Then I immediately wrote to the restaurant, asking for a transfer and to check with the waiter in question, because I had paid twice. No response even after the second email, which isn't a shame... The waiter received a really good tip of €33! I've never experienced anything like that before. It can happen, but then you have to respond to the two emails, where everything is perfectly understandable :( They know exactly that it worked that evening; it says so on the receipt itself.

The five of us were there for a quick lunch, and the service wasn't exceptional. When we paid, we left little to no tip, and the waiter insulted us in his native language and even threw the tip at us. We've never experienced anything like that before.

The food could have been better seasoned. The pasta was more than al dente; it probably wasn't left in the pot for long. You had to hunt for mushrooms, even though they were supposed to be included.

The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right.

The food was very good, but the service was very arrogant. Despite having a reservation, we were only briefly shown to our seats. The whole time, you get the impression that you eat, pay, and the next person is already waiting. It's a shame, because the food is really good.

The food is very good. The location is also good. The waitresses, mostly male, are rather rude. A 10% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. I find that a bit cheeky.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and even the dog was allowed in. It's best to reserve a table.

We've been there twice now, and unfortunately, the children's meals weren't suitable for children. The first time, we ordered spaetzle with sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was completely oversalted, making it practically inedible for a child. The second time, we had fries with fish sticks, and I have to say, the fries were extremely brown and tasted strange. One of the waitresses wasn't particularly friendly either.

We ate here three times because we were swimming. The first time, the waiter completely ignored us. She served the next table and overlooked us. The waiter who came next was incredibly arrogant and unfriendly. We gave the restaurant another try the next day because we were swimming there. The waitress was very charming and friendly, and since the food was actually quite delicious, we went back the next day. The waiter was again very unfriendly, and his arrogant manner made us decide not to come again.

We wanted to eat here after a bike ride. There were free tables in the shade, but we weren't allowed to sit there because that area was "not open." Instead, they wanted to give us a table in the blazing sun in 31-degree heat. No thanks! When we asked for a table, we were rudely turned away. I can't comment on the quality of the food, but the staff was very unfriendly.

A wonderfully cozy restaurant. It's nothing like a "typical" poolside restaurant. The food here is of the highest quality. Above all, the whole package is just right. Beautiful ambiance, good selection, fair prices, top-quality food, super tasty, and generous portions. Very friendly and attentive staff. We ate here twice on our last vacation and again this time. Absolutely delicious. From the chef's welcome to the starter and main course, to dessert, and even a schnapps on the house. Everything was perfect. The roast beef with onions is second to none. Keep up the good work.

The food was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. There's a wide selection of dishes. The prices are perfectly reasonable. The ambiance was rated 4/5 because we ate above the leisure pool, and the noise level from the wave pool was a bit unpleasant.

It seems a bit intimidating at first because of the swimming pool, but it's completely separate and has a cozy atmosphere. The food was great and the service friendly.

I asked if they could change me for a fiver. There was nothing going on at the time. The waiter then turned away and gave me an incomprehensible rebuff. So, it was out of the question for us to eat there outside the thermal baths. Perhaps they'd be more polite if we sat down and ate something right away.

The food at the restaurant generally seems good and there's a fair amount of it, but calling an iceberg lettuce with a bit of cucumber and tomato for 9 euros (!) the "big salad of the season" is cheeky. So cheeky that we won't be coming back, even though we had planned to.

Today was our first time eating in the beer garden. The seating there is nicer than inside. First, we were greeted with a small greeting from the kitchen, which we thought was very nice. Today we ordered fish. Unfortunately, it was almost completely underseasoned. The roast beef with onions, however, was excellent! I'll definitely eat there again. The prices are also great. Unfortunately, you can't sit for long, as the tables are rebooked at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This makes a nice evening with friends difficult. The staff is friendly. If you want to eat there, you should definitely make a reservation due to high demand.

Very good and delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is varied, with something for everyone. The service is always friendly and cheerful. Highly recommended.
