Delicious food and incredibly friendly service, plus a welcoming and cozy atmosphere! A compliment to the kitchen for the tasty roast pork and Munich schnitzel. Keep it up! :-) We'll definitely be back!
The food was excellent, the vegan bowl was delicious. There's not much to say about the service; I ordered at the terminal, picked it up myself, and returned the dishes myself. All in all, though, 5/5.
Everything's great, we're there all the time. The staff is super friendly and professional. The food is amazing; I'd even say it's by far the best in Weiden. The price for the portions is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is super cozy and appealing 😁
Hosteria Fratelli in Munich is a true gem! From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're in Italy – not only because of the fantastic food, but also because of the warm and welcoming service. A special mention goes to waiter Gianni, whose charm, humor, and absolute professionalism made the evening unforgettable. In short: A must for anyone who loves great Italian food and impeccable service!
The Golden Cross is a very nice restaurant with a lovely, old-world ambiance and an impressive history dating back to the 16th century. The service staff is beyond reproach, as they work very quickly and precisely. The food was very good; I had the duck with peanut sauce, which I highly recommend. I have no complaints here.
Great food for a tapas bar. Limited seating makes it very cramped if there are a couple of groups, which was the case when we were there. There were two large groups taking up the main floor seating area. The bar seating was comfortable, and the bar staff was super friendly and fast with both food and drinks. We'd definitely be happy to come again.
---- Great food for a tapas bar. Due to the limited seating, it gets very crowded when there are several groups. When we were there, two large groups occupied the seating area in the main room. The bar seating was comfortable, and the bar staff was super friendly and quick with both food and drinks. We'll definitely come again.
Our honest impression, this was our first time there.
The appetizers were fantastic, however, as a restaurant owner, I would be concerned if three women were sitting at three tables with winter coats around their shoulders; ignoring it is not acceptable. It was terribly cold in the restaurant. Food: The calamari was nice and soft, but unfortunately completely tasteless, which was a shame. Seasoning the breading would be a good idea. The bifteki was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned. As noted on-site, the gyros consisted almost entirely of fatty pork belly, which was extremely noticeable. It also lacked seasoning and was truly... 🤢. We've never had gyros like that before. The garlic fries were either missing the garlic or had been forgotten, which was also disappointing. We specifically asked if they had Metaxa sauce and ordered it separately, but it was just a tomato sauce with cream or milk. The dessert was incredibly delicious, and the service was great. What we didn't like was the electronic menu; it was very impersonal, and when we go out to eat, we don't want to deal with laptops, phones, and the like. We prefer the old, traditional menu. Especially the older generation, or people who spend 10 hours a day in an office dealing with it, aren't thrilled.
Nevertheless, it was very nice; the owner was very accommodating, which isn't always a given. Still, only 3 stars.
The price/performance ratio is excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere is just like it used to be – without any modern frills. The portions are always generous, both for dining in and for takeaway. And the prices have remained reasonable for years.
