Excellent food in old walls.
Best Greek in a wide area. The food is excellent, Kosmas, the boss, is the greatest Greek ever and if you come here regularly you feel like family. The building is old and quite narrow, but is easily pushed into the background by the great food.
An evening between aesthetics, flavors, and sophistication
There are evenings that don't feel like reality—but rather like a perfectly staged film. This visit in August was exactly that. We naturally had some expectations of the two-star Michelin restaurant, and I can already say that we were repeatedly surprised, impressed, or speechless. A culinary experience that touched not only the palate, but also the heart and soul.
We had a completely vegetarian menu. No sacrifice, just transformation.
Every dish was a work of art: thoughtful, composed, bold. Textures, colors, temperatures—nothing was accidental. The kitchen demonstrated how powerful plant-based ingredients can be when treated with true vision.
I was fortunate enough to meet the chef—a personality who impresses not only with skill, but also with attitude. Inspired, grounded, with a love of detail.
Shared with my best friends, this evening became a small chapter in my own film.
Unforgettable.
Disaster!
We went there for dinner, were treated rudely, and on top of that, we saw the prices outside AND inside, but had to pay more each time because: "Prices are different today." He only told us this after the food was ready.
On top of that, the meat was really not good, with a lot of fat that made you chew forever, sad... I really can't recommend it at all.
If I could, I would give it 0 stars.
TRADITIONAL
Maulaff is a traditional German Brew Pub named after a wood statue carved in 1788.
The statue has a big open mouth and men would throw balls into it and wait for the ball to roll out from the backside lol.
I love Maulaff because their limited micro-brews are delicious.
Even more than the beer Maulaff has the largest selection of flammkuchen for miles around.
Flammkuchen is tarte flambe and not pizza - and is soul satisfying.
Maulaff also has chess sets and clocks set up if you enjoy chess.
Service is excellent.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Delicious food (starter, main course, and dessert) at reasonable prices—something that's becoming increasingly rare. It certainly won't be our last visit, even though we don't live in the region.
Highly recommended. The pizza and salad were delicious, plentiful, the owner was nice, and the service was very friendly. The wait was short. I won't be long in coming for my next visit.
A clear recommendation for an Asian restaurant in Inzell – a hidden gem with great food
The two of us ate there and rolled out completely satisfied – full, happy, and pleasantly surprised. The food was truly delicious, the portions generous, and the service consistently friendly and attentive.
Important to note: Card payments are not accepted. This is clearly marked at the cash register, but if you walk straight through the restaurant into the beer garden – like we did – you won't notice it. We didn't have any cash with us, but luckily we were able to pay easily via PayPal. So, check beforehand or have your phone with you.
The restaurant is somewhat tucked away next to the Italian restaurant and hardly noticeable from the outside – a real insider tip. The quiet beer garden in the courtyard is particularly lovely. It's a truly idyllic spot, pleasantly shielded from the hustle and bustle.
Conclusion: If you appreciate good Asian food, you should definitely stop by here. Friendly, delicious, and fair – but don't forget cash or PayPal!
Highly recommended – a real insider tip in Nittenau!
I've been to the new Barnabas a few times now and I'm impressed every time. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. I especially recommend the butter chicken – in my opinion, the best I've ever eaten!
But the other dishes are also impressive: The salad with crispy chicken is crispy fresh and truly delicious. The selection is varied and there's something for every taste.
You can enjoy a leisurely meal in, but takeout or delivery are also easily available – super flexible.
In my opinion, Barnabas deserves much more attention: great quality, fair prices, and an all-around pleasant experience. I'd definitely be happy to come back!
