The server was rude and claimed the card machine was broken, insisting I pay in cash. I insisted on paying by card, and suddenly the POS started working. What a liar. The other staff were friendly, and the food and prices were average.

A highly recommended Indian restaurant in Lindau. I had an excellent chicken biryani, colorful and tasty, just as it should be. The selection on the menu is very large, so there really is something for everyone. There's almost so much that it would be helpful if some of the "house specialties" were explicitly marked on the menu. Also, not to always fall back on the few dishes that you already know and to actually try out some of the certainly excellent, lesser-known dishes. I will definitely come back and hopefully try it out a bit - and I can only recommend it to everyone else!

Super delicious Indian cuisine! The naan bread is particularly recommended!

We were there for lunch this week and basically we were completely thrilled. The waitresses were all very friendly and the food came quickly. The food itself seemed to us to be extremely authentic Indian cuisine😃 Which you can't say everywhere. The tables were beautifully set, there were neat and sturdy tablecloths on them and everything looked clean. Things got even better when we got your bill. Two main courses and two drinks for around €30 and I haven't eaten something so delicious and so plentiful for a lunch meal in a long time. So it was pure joy until, as is often the case here at the lake, I had the opportunity to pay! Especially when you have to get back to a meeting at work on time, you can only pay in cash☹️ I was allowed to rush to the ATM and made it to the meeting just in time. The card reader was said to be defective? The classic excuse, unfortunately I know this one too well. There are now so many good providers for processing card payments. As a restaurant owner, I don't just have one of them. Today it is already easy and secure via smartphone. As a customer, I am also happy to pay the 2 to 5% fees that apply depending on the card provider.

I recently took some food home and I love it! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating - you immediately feel like you're in good hands. The food was simply amazing, by far the best Indian food I've ever had! The dishes were fresh, perfectly seasoned and packaged in a visually appealing way.

Finally an Indian restaurant that convinces me. Went here for the first time today and ordered two dosa dishes and the taste was incredibly good. The service was super nice and accommodating. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back. I would also like to mention that I spent a few months in India and therefore have higher taste standards, which were absolutely met here. I'm looking forward to the curries!

Overall good experience. There is a wide vegan selection, specifically marked on the menu and it also tastes very good. However, you have to check or specify carefully when ordering: one of the daily specials (M6) explicitly said "(vegan)" on the menu, but when it was served it proudly boasted of two fried eggs. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he didn't understand our objection at first. After a bit of explanation back and forth, the dish was then exchanged without any problems for a completely vegan version (in which the waiter even explained what other ingredients were in it, probably as a precaution). That's why the star deduction. Good restaurant, but the understanding of “vegan” still needs to be worked on...

Wow! All the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. All dishes ordered were of the highest quality in terms of taste and quality and can be recommended without reservation. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely appropriate. The great ambience makes the food even more authentic. Before leaving the restaurant, I was even helped into my coat by an employee and we were greeted with thanks by the entire team and escorted out. Thank you for this great experience!

We visited this restaurant with small kids for lunch today. While the food was excellent and on par with any top Indian restaurant, the experience was soured by the staff’s initial behavior. We called an hour in advance to confirm their hours and were told they were open until 3 PM. However, when we arrived at 2:32 PM, they initially refused to serve us, claiming the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes. After a heated discussion, they agreed to serve us, and the food was ready in just 10 minutes. The food itself was delicious, and the chef, who personally came out to greet us, was very polite and friendly. However, the initial rudeness from the staff left a negative impression and ruined the whole experience. While the food was great, the overall experience was dampened by the unwelcoming behavior. I’d rate it 3 stars.

Must visit if you are in Lindau. We were amazed by how good the food was. Nice south indian menu. Ordered chicken dosa, Chettinad chicken gravy, chola bhatura & chai. Everything was too good. Will visit again for sure when in Lindau again. They have another restaurant too as Khana Khazana if you prefer purely north indian menu.

In November 2024 I had dinner with a friend at "Street Khanzana". The restaurant is cozy, although quite narrow - a reservation is therefore highly recommended. The male waiters, probably Indian or Pakistani, were attentive and did a good job. Although the waiters were busy flitting back and forth, there was a relaxed atmosphere until the food was served. We spent about an hour and a half there. The guests seemed to be international and English was also spoken. The food was tasty, with a pleasant spiciness adapted to European tastes. A nice place for a relaxing evening!

In fact, I was a bit torn about how to rate this place... We went there twice, once on a weekday and two days later on the weekend for dinner. The service: The first time we noticed the service was very positive because it was quick and friendly, the napkin is generally placed on your lap and the rice is spooned into your plate (we found the last two things a bit strange, but the tastes certainly are). different) and when we asked for the bill, we got a mango schnapps on the house and we thanked us with a big tip. The second time - perhaps it was because it was the weekend and the restaurant was even busier than during the week - everything went as it had the first time, but when the starter came, one of the dishes we ordered was unfortunately missing. The mistake we made was probably bringing this to the attention of service. We're not sure if the waiter understood, we just now wanted this additionally, even though I said several times that it was ordered and was missing. At least it was listed among the main courses on the bill, so it was probably added as an afterthought. In any case, from then on the service was much less friendly. When the missing starter arrived, it was rudely “thrown” (I don’t want to say) onto the table without a word and without a glance in our direction (but it seemed like an unfriendly “there you have yours.” Eat, hopefully you’re happy now!”). Unfortunately, this continued through the main course and payment and - surprise - this time there was no mango schnapps. Maybe it was the exception to get it, maybe it was not getting it, we don't know. After the first visit we were so euphoric that we really wanted to go there again during our vacation, it's a real shame how things turned out. The food: The selection of dishes is great and there are many vegetarian and even vegan options. What we really liked and enjoyed was the starter plate for two, which included a nice and tasty selection. In particular, the “standard starter”, the pakora, was exceptional here and the best we have ever had. Unfortunately, we didn't find the good taste of the starters in the main courses because - and I'm really sorry to say this - we were missing "India" in the dishes. The dishes are Indian dishes, but they taste as if they were cooked by a German. We had four different dishes and all of them were missing spices; the lentils, for example, tasted like the ones that are served with spaetzle and string sausage in Swabia. Let's see if we give the place a third chance when we're back here. However, we will probably only choose starters, which were really good, unfortunately we didn't get authentically seasoned main courses there. And if the service reacts so sensitively to questions about forgotten dishes, you have to think about whether you should just live with it next time or keep your mouth shut, as that spoils the overall experience immensely.

Indian Restaurant in Lindau** This weekend, we had the chance to visit an Indian restaurant in Lindau, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. It was our first time trying this type of cuisine, and although we were a bit nervous about the spice level, we were pleasantly surprised. The menu offers a variety of dishes from both Northern and Southern India, allowing us to try unique and diverse flavors. We had been warned that Indian food is often very spicy, but the dishes were perfectly balanced. I enjoy spicy food, but I feared it might be too intense; however, the chef achieved just the right level of spice, respecting the flavors and making them accessible. The service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond, paying attention to every detail and ensuring that we were comfortable and satisfied. It had been a while since we experienced such dedicated and professional service. A 10 out of 10 for the staff, who made this visit special, and compliments to the chef for the exquisite flavors. Without a doubt, this is a restaurant we would return to. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the richness of Indian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

Cosy Indian restaurant in Lindau Insel, variety of option especially street food and South Indian. Food was good, though a bit more oily for my taste. Also it was a pain to discover they only take cash, so my husband had to walk out in the middle of our meal to withdraw cash from the nearest ATM. Must try: Paneer Tikka & crispy okra! Also the waiter looked super stressed & impatient.

Found out about this place from a YouTube video. The north-south fusion concept is interesting, and they have executed it well. The ambience is decent, and they were playing old Hindi songs when we were there, inducing a hit of nostalgia. The veg paneer dosa I tried was really nice. The bhel puri was plated nicely but tasted so-so, and the coconut pineapple lassi did not taste like either. The plus side is that the quantity is ample and the food is filling. The prices are a bit high. One more downside was that when the waiter saw we were Indian, he only spoke to us in Hindi, which made our non-Indian friend feel a bit left out.

Amazing Indian food! Especially the starter Chaat platter Special and the Dosas! We also tried the Lamb Saag. Insanely savory and delightful! Service was quick, polite and attentive. Plates were very nicely presented. Value for money. We sat outside in the road, because the weather was nice. Not a busy street, so it was nice. The inside of the restaurant seemed a bit dark and old, could use a refresh. Overall it was really good! We dined there twice during our three day stay in Lindau, that's how good it was.

Best Indian ⭐️ This was by far the best Indian food in Germany. We had the naan with garlic (a must try), the butter chicken and the duck with mango. The taste is simply delicious, spicy and creamy - it couldn't be better. The Mango Lassi was a solid 10 out of 10. The atmosphere is also very cozy and stylishly furnished. And the service is also a 10 out of 10. Absolute recommendation 🤩

The ambience in the restaurant is great, Indian music is playing in the background and the smell of spices fills the room. When we were there it was pretty busy and there weren't enough waiters - which isn't a bad thing if you have the time. We waited a good hour for the main course. What is very pleasantly surprising: Vegans have a large selection of dishes, really great 👍The lentil soup was a dream in terms of taste, so delicately seasoned, the best soup I have ever eaten. Personally, the Vegetable Dakshin Korma was a bit too sweet for me, almost like Rafaello cream - but delicious in itself. The Sabzi Jalfrezi was really great in terms of taste, but be careful: 🌶️🌶️ you have to be able to endure two chillies behind the dish. I can actually eat spicy food quite well - I thought, but the dish was so spicy that it was difficult to enjoy (at least for me). The portions were rather on the lower limit. I don't know if it was just a bad day, as I've read otherwise in the reviews. Apologies were made for the lack of attention in the service, but that doesn't seem to be the case otherwise. The only thing that wasn't so great: the waiter who picked us up was probably not happy with the tip, no thanks, no eye contact. And we really didn't just give 2 or 3 euros. Otherwise, the shop is highly recommended, especially for vegans, but the prices - like the food - are well seasoned.

We love being here so much! Actually a must-do on our visits to Lindau. The food is simply outstanding and the service is so attentive! First the waiter drapes the napkin on your lap, then the rice is personally served on the plate. Simply top and recommended to everyone. In the evening you should therefore make reservations as a precaution.

A great Indian restaurant on Lindau Island. This is the second time I've been there and I can absolutely recommend it. The waiters are extremely friendly, very helpful and on point. The food tastes delicious, is well seasoned and nicely presented. There is a large selection of different dishes and the waiting time is reasonable. The garlic naan bread is highly recommended, there were three of us there and we could have eaten our fill of the mixed starter platter and the naan. :-) There is traditional Indian music (sounds) playing in the background and it had a lot of guests both times I was there. We didn't make a reservation but still got a spot. But it was during the week - I can't judge what the space availability looks like at the weekend. Small points of criticism: - The cutlery jugs on the table don't fit in with the rest of the great Indian ambience and reminded me more of a traditional tavern. - Only cash payment is possible! The three of us had a bill of a good €100. You have to have enough cash with you. I would be happy to come back... In this sense: namaste :-)

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The service is very nice and the ambience is high-class. At dinner we had Tandoori chicken and Chicken Tikka Massala with Garlic Naan. Everything was really good, especially the Garlic Naan, which is why we hardly ate any rice because the Naan was so good. We had reserved in advance, but there were enough free places so you don't necessarily have to call in advance.

The place serves good authentic Indian food in Lindau. Offers best South Indian food you can have in Germany. The owner is a very sweet Punjabi lady and the cook is a South Indian. The staff is also friendly and decent. Reasonable interiors and prices. Difficult to find a parking slot though, due to the buzzing location.

Fusion of North and South. Punjab meets Karnataka. The food is undoubtedly delicious. Ample quantity , service is exquisite. They are quite fast and provide help to choose the best food from their menu. If you are in Lindau, visit this restaurant is a must.

We were very excited about what to expect due to the other recessions. However, we cannot confirm the negative reviews. We got a seat outside without a reservation and were served nicely throughout. The staff was very child friendly and the waiters joked with our son. But what impressed us most was the food. We have rarely eaten such good Indian food. Everything was very tasty and richly seasoned. The butter naan bread was homemade and the best I've ever eaten. Our starters and main courses were also more than convincing. The only thing I see as a point of criticism - in this day and age - is the lack of the option to pay with an EC card.
