Phenomenally good cuisine, super friendly and, above all, attentive service. Nothing too spicy, nothing too mild, excellent unique spices, fresh ingredients, you feel very healthy and happy after a visit here. The portions were just right to fill you up well. Not too little nor too much. Terrific. Price performance fits wonderfully. Please stay like that.

We came with my wife. The person who welcomes you is not nice, my dish that I had ordered did not come (tikka massala) and my wife's dish was not good. In addition to scamming tourists, they also scam the country (cash only) to pay

I had a very disappointing experience at this restuarant last month. The staff, particularly one gentleman with a turban and beard, was extremely rude. Despite the card payment system being operational, they insisted on cash payments, which raises concerns about potential tax evasion. Additionally, this particular staff member seemed to exhibit discriminatory behavior towards Indian customers. I believe many others from the Indian community may have faced similar treatment.

I would prefer to give less than one star if possible. Street Khazana has changed a lot, and unfortunately not for the better. While some staff are friendly, there are serious issues with management and dealing with guests. The owner always seems irritable and unhospitable, which negatively affects the restaurant experience. Particularly disturbing is the practice of forcing guests to pay in cash, which raises questions about transparency. The behavior towards non-German guests is even more problematic - there are clear signs of unequal treatment, particularly from an employee with a long beard who behaves particularly disrespectfully towards Indian guests. The greeting at the entrance seems dishonest and purely business-oriented. You don't feel welcome, just like a paying customer. The restaurant used to be better, but as its success has increased, so has its arrogance. It is disappointing to see how a once hospitable place can become so negative. Good food is not enough - respect and fair treatment of guests are crucial for a positive experience. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend Street Khazana under these circumstances.

Food was delicious; very tasty! I really like all the dishes I ordered. Service was friendly and polite. I'm not an expert on Indian food, but to my taste this is one of the best restaurants I've been. They have another one down the street, which I originally intended to go but it was closed, so I decided to give this one a try and I didn't regret it. Prices are fair.

We ate here on Easter Sunday. The staff was super friendly, the service was very good and the food came very quickly. The menu is very diverse and the atmosphere is very nice. Both the starter and the main course were incredibly tasty and large portions. We would definitely recommend it!

Amazing food and friendly and very attentive staff

We ate here for the first time as a family today. The restaurant is very stylishly decorated, the menu is partly South Indian and North Indian. We were very hungry and ordered dosas and North Indian dishes. The food was served hot and the service was extremely friendly. In terms of taste, the food is a 10/10 and absolutely recommended, very authentic! We would love to come back. Kind regards to the whole team🙏🏽

First of all, the positive thing is that the price increase is limited, 1 euro is ok. That was my first thought. Unfortunately, when you eat it, you notice that both the quantity and the quality of the chicken meat have decreased... Last year I would have given you 5 stars, but only 3 stars. The taste remains at 5*. overall with good will 4.

After Khazana's main restaurant in the Grub is temporarily closed, we had dinner at the "Street" branch and were once again very satisfied. Excellent food and very friendly staff who don't forget to smile even in a busy shop. The menu is a little different than in the main building, some dishes are only available here or there. We would definitely like to come back. It would be perfect if the restaurant also offered a delivery service!

Food 5/5 was excellent. Service 3/5 as I had a good day. Otherwise, more like 2. Friendliness is unfortunately not the case (not with our 2 waiters) which had a direct impact on the tip. Ambience 4/5... It's an old room, but still quite nice. Food came surprisingly quickly. We'll be back.

Outdoor seating: We had the pleasure of enjoying our lunch in the sun while sitting outdoors. Food: Mango lassi was the one of the best I have had in a restaurant. Dal makhani was delicious and naan was super soft and perfect. However, they could improve on their south Indian section. The chutneys tasted below average and the white curry thing they served had a bizzare taste. Never tasted something like it before. To summarise: go for the north Indian curries and you won't regret it. Service: Warm, welcoming and friendly. They also offer a cheaper lunch menu from Monday to Friday.

It's very nice there, nice waiters. It's not originally Indian and I think it's a shame. Portions small and very expensive. Rice side dish is served on the plate, inconvenient, and gets cold quickly. You could solve the problem differently, like with Asians (the food should stay warm)

Today was our first time here, and after me, probably our last. On the somewhat positive side, the dishes are quite okay – even if the flavor isn't exactly explosive. Service is a disaster! As a guest, you sit at the table for a while before someone arrives. Even if someone does arrive to take your order, it feels like an eternity until at least the drinks arrive. Even with visibly empty glasses, you're not asked if you'd like anything else or if everything is satisfactory – a basic requirement of good dining. An absolute no-go is when you try to pay by card (the Visa, Mastercard, and EC symbols are emblazoned on the door), you're given a rather half-hearted "cash only today." Inquiries about the possibility of withdrawing money are ignored. So, you might consider a longer walk to get cash from the nearest ATM. Instead of apologizing for the guest's effort and inconvenience, not a word of the sort is said in a good restaurant. Service no thanks - it's a shame that they don't realize that the guest pays the bill here and that they would rather scare away good guests than hire good service staff.

Wonderful food. Great ambiance and loved the food there. Hands down the best Dose I have eaten in Germany. The Mysore masala dose was just too good and will definitely recommend to all.

From one week to the next, card payments were suddenly no longer accepted - with varying reasons such as “cash only today” or “the device is broken”, which happens remarkably often. Since card payments worked problem-free in the past, the question arises as to whether tax reasons play a role here. It's a shame because the food was good, but under these circumstances I won't be coming back.

The food was delicious, perfectly spiced, the portions were large and the staff were so gracious - they opened the door for me, they helped me with my coat and were overall attentive to our needs.

I recently visited to this restaurant and wanted to share my experience. So, firstly on arrival of us they did not greeted us properly. After that by ordering food we just asked for some recommendations and he rudely said that we serve all the dishes with Indian teste and would recommend them all. And the shocking was he greeted each and every other customers except us. We still did not why? At the end we asked to pay with card and he insisted us to pay in cash. We denied us to pay in cash as we did not have enough. He left us abruptly. Food was good but served cold. Prices are average. I would not recommend this restaurant at all because of the hospitality. 1/5!

A highly recommended Indian restaurant in Lindau. I had an excellent chicken biryani, colorful and tasty, just as it should be. The selection on the menu is very large, so there really is something for everyone. There's almost so much that it would be helpful if some of the "house specialties" were explicitly marked on the menu. Also, not to always fall back on the few dishes that you already know and to actually try out some of the certainly excellent, lesser-known dishes. I will definitely come back and hopefully try it out a bit - and I can only recommend it to everyone else!

We were there for lunch this week and basically we were completely thrilled. The waitresses were all very friendly and the food came quickly. The food itself seemed to us to be extremely authentic Indian cuisine😃 Which you can't say everywhere. The tables were beautifully set, there were neat and sturdy tablecloths on them and everything looked clean. Things got even better when we got your bill. Two main courses and two drinks for around €30 and I haven't eaten something so delicious and so plentiful for a lunch meal in a long time. So it was pure joy until, as is often the case here at the lake, I had the opportunity to pay! Especially when you have to get back to a meeting at work on time, you can only pay in cash☹️ I was allowed to rush to the ATM and made it to the meeting just in time. The card reader was said to be defective? The classic excuse, unfortunately I know this one too well. There are now so many good providers for processing card payments. As a restaurant owner, I don't just have one of them. Today it is already easy and secure via smartphone. As a customer, I am also happy to pay the 2 to 5% fees that apply depending on the card provider.

I recently took some food home and I love it! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating - you immediately feel like you're in good hands. The food was simply amazing, by far the best Indian food I've ever had! The dishes were fresh, perfectly seasoned and packaged in a visually appealing way.

Finally an Indian restaurant that convinces me. Went here for the first time today and ordered two dosa dishes and the taste was incredibly good. The service was super nice and accommodating. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back. I would also like to mention that I spent a few months in India and therefore have higher taste standards, which were absolutely met here. I'm looking forward to the curries!

Overall good experience. There is a wide vegan selection, specifically marked on the menu and it also tastes very good. However, you have to check or specify carefully when ordering: one of the daily specials (M6) explicitly said "(vegan)" on the menu, but when it was served it proudly boasted of two fried eggs. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he didn't understand our objection at first. After a bit of explanation back and forth, the dish was then exchanged without any problems for a completely vegan version (in which the waiter even explained what other ingredients were in it, probably as a precaution). That's why the star deduction. Good restaurant, but the understanding of “vegan” still needs to be worked on...

Wow! All the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. All dishes ordered were of the highest quality in terms of taste and quality and can be recommended without reservation. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely appropriate. The great ambience makes the food even more authentic. Before leaving the restaurant, I was even helped into my coat by an employee and we were greeted with thanks by the entire team and escorted out. Thank you for this great experience!

We visited this restaurant with small kids for lunch today. While the food was excellent and on par with any top Indian restaurant, the experience was soured by the staff’s initial behavior. We called an hour in advance to confirm their hours and were told they were open until 3 PM. However, when we arrived at 2:32 PM, they initially refused to serve us, claiming the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes. After a heated discussion, they agreed to serve us, and the food was ready in just 10 minutes. The food itself was delicious, and the chef, who personally came out to greet us, was very polite and friendly. However, the initial rudeness from the staff left a negative impression and ruined the whole experience. While the food was great, the overall experience was dampened by the unwelcoming behavior. I’d rate it 3 stars.

Will visit again for sure when in Lindau again. They have another restaurant too as Khana Khazana if you prefer purely north indian menu.

In November 2024 I had dinner with a friend at "Street Khanzana". The restaurant is cozy, although quite narrow - a reservation is therefore highly recommended. The male waiters, probably Indian or Pakistani, were attentive and did a good job. Although the waiters were busy flitting back and forth, there was a relaxed atmosphere until the food was served. We spent about an hour and a half there. The guests seemed to be international and English was also spoken. The food was tasty, with a pleasant spiciness adapted to European tastes. A nice place for a relaxing evening!

In fact, I was a bit torn about how to rate this place... We went there twice, once on a weekday and two days later on the weekend for dinner. The service: The first time we noticed the service was very positive because it was quick and friendly, the napkin is generally placed on your lap and the rice is spooned into your plate (we found the last two things a bit strange, but the tastes certainly are). different) and when we asked for the bill, we got a mango schnapps on the house and we thanked us with a big tip. The second time - perhaps it was because it was the weekend and the restaurant was even busier than during the week - everything went as it had the first time, but when the starter came, one of the dishes we ordered was unfortunately missing. The mistake we made was probably bringing this to the attention of service. We're not sure if the waiter understood, we just now wanted this additionally, even though I said several times that it was ordered and was missing. At least it was listed among the main courses on the bill, so it was probably added as an afterthought. In any case, from then on the service was much less friendly. When the missing starter arrived, it was rudely “thrown” (I don’t want to say) onto the table without a word and without a glance in our direction (but it seemed like an unfriendly “there you have yours.” Eat, hopefully you’re happy now!”). Unfortunately, this continued through the main course and payment and - surprise - this time there was no mango schnapps. Maybe it was the exception to get it, maybe it was not getting it, we don't know. After the first visit we were so euphoric that we really wanted to go there again during our vacation, it's a real shame how things turned out. The food: The selection of dishes is great and there are many vegetarian and even vegan options. What we really liked and enjoyed was the starter plate for two, which included a nice and tasty selection. In particular, the “standard starter”, the pakora, was exceptional here and the best we have ever had. Unfortunately, we didn't find the good taste of the starters in the main courses because - and I'm really sorry to say this - we were missing "India" in the dishes. The dishes are Indian dishes, but they taste as if they were cooked by a German. We had four different dishes and all of them were missing spices; the lentils, for example, tasted like the ones that are served with spaetzle and string sausage in Swabia. Let's see if we give the place a third chance when we're back here. However, we will probably only choose starters, which were really good, unfortunately we didn't get authentically seasoned main courses there. And if the service reacts so sensitively to questions about forgotten dishes, you have to think about whether you should just live with it next time or keep your mouth shut, as that spoils the overall experience immensely.

Indian Restaurant in Lindau** This weekend, we had the chance to visit an Indian restaurant in Lindau, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. It was our first time trying this type of cuisine, and although we were a bit nervous about the spice level, we were pleasantly surprised. The menu offers a variety of dishes from both Northern and Southern India, allowing us to try unique and diverse flavors. We had been warned that Indian food is often very spicy, but the dishes were perfectly balanced. I enjoy spicy food, but I feared it might be too intense; however, the chef achieved just the right level of spice, respecting the flavors and making them accessible. The service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond, paying attention to every detail and ensuring that we were comfortable and satisfied. It had been a while since we experienced such dedicated and professional service. A 10 out of 10 for the staff, who made this visit special, and compliments to the chef for the exquisite flavors. Without a doubt, this is a restaurant we would return to. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the richness of Indian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

Cosy Indian restaurant in Lindau Insel, variety of option especially street food and South Indian. Food was good, though a bit more oily for my taste. Also it was a pain to discover they only take cash, so my husband had to walk out in the middle of our meal to withdraw cash from the nearest ATM. Must try: Paneer Tikka & crispy okra! Also the waiter looked super stressed & impatient.

Found out about this place from a YouTube video. The north-south fusion concept is interesting, and they have executed it well. The ambience is decent, and they were playing old Hindi songs when we were there, inducing a hit of nostalgia. The veg paneer dosa I tried was really nice. The bhel puri was plated nicely but tasted so-so, and the coconut pineapple lassi did not taste like either. The plus side is that the quantity is ample and the food is filling. The prices are a bit high. One more downside was that when the waiter saw we were Indian, he only spoke to us in Hindi, which made our non-Indian friend feel a bit left out.
