A very nice beer garden, extremely friendly service, and delicious food. Upon request, they made special dumplings without "Bröckerla" (a kind of dumpling with a swirl of bread) for my gluten-intolerant son. Top!

The roast venison and cheese spaetzle were absolutely divine. The service was fast and very friendly.

I wasn't staying overnight, but stopped in during a hike. Very idyllic location, delicious food, friendly service. Vegetarians are also catered for; the vegetable frikaellen were delicious. Completely satisfied.

The pizza cordon bleu and the sauerbraten were fantastic!!! A cozy beer garden. Card payments are also accepted. We'd love to go again!

Rural area We'll definitely be back

During a trip to Pottenstein, we decided to have lunch at the Landgasthof Kapellenhof. A very, very good decision. Both our meals were excellent. I was particularly impressed by the fish. I definitely recommend this inn if you're in the area.

We stumbled upon this inn by chance on our way back to our holiday home in the Ahorntal Valley. It's a bit hidden, but the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Perhaps we'll be able to stop there again.

After a hike, we stopped by the beer garden and were completely impressed: super-friendly staff, delicious food, and absolutely fair prices. We'd definitely be back!

Excellent food at a reasonable price.

There were 49 of us here. The food was beyond excellent. I haven't eaten so well and affordably in a long time! The salad was super fresh and flavorful! Here in Thuringia, you pay almost 8 euros for a small salad, and the same for a cup of soup. Here, it's 3.80. And for dumplings with sauce, you're paying 20 or more! Excellent, keep it up! I would like to add one small criticism: since I had a direct view into the kitchen, it would have been nice if the blonde lady working at the dumpling pot would tie her hair back.

We ate in the beer garden. Absolutely phenomenal food (sauerbraten, roast venison, spaetzle with cream sauce for the kids) and very friendly service.

We came here quite spontaneously for dinner with a large group at Whitsun, and it was delicious 😋. We were given a separate room with three tables for 6, which was perfectly fine. This meant there was still a table available for other guests. It was quite busy that day, so the food took a while to arrive, but everything was hot and delicious. I can especially recommend the Kaiserschmarrn. A large portion with apple sauce on the side. And fresh and guaranteed homemade. Plus, a fairly extensive menu with plenty of choice. There's also a beer garden. I can't rate the rooms.

Top restaurant, German cuisine. Extremely tasty and great price. Were there for the second time and the quality hasn't diminished. The service is very nice, but you have to wait quite a while just for the drinks. Food simply takes longer, but is fresh. Just think that, like everywhere else, there are too few staff. Always my pleasure!

I went there for lunch today and enjoyed zander on a bed of vegetables with lemon cream sauce and rosemary potatoes. The dish was absolutely delicious and left nothing to be desired. 👍👍👍 The country inn was a lucky find, but I'll definitely visit again on my next trip to Franconian Switzerland and definitely recommend it. ☺️

Absolutely delicious! Reservations are an advantage, you can usually park in front of the door and take a nice walk after your meal. You get your food pretty quickly, so you don't have to linger for long. In terms of taste, it was really delicious, but my deer was a little salty. Gladly again!

Today we had dinner in the Kapellenhof with a group of 8 people. What can I say, 5 out of 5 stars. Everything was very tasty, value for money was excellent, large portions and the service was very friendly and quick. Absolutely recommended.

We were there for lunch at around 2:30 p.m. in the beer garden. It is located just outside of Pottenstein and is very quiet. There were still a few places around that time or many left so slowly. We had a vegetarian dish and one with meat. Both very tasty, fresh and hot. The service was also very friendly. You could pay by card.

Quiet location, shady beer garden. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food, which was due to a large group who ordered before us. The food was very tasty and came for 6 of us at the same time. We also treated ourselves to dessert.

We went there because of the numerous positive reviews. Unfortunately, the food or the schnitzel wasn't to our taste at all. Pale and even greasier than the glassy fries. Ordered four and had four returned. Too bad about the money.

So far the best rump steak didn't have to wait long. I don't know. Room was just for eating as everything was great and served super quickly despite a group of 30 people

We would have liked to have eaten here today, the beer garden was relatively well attended. Unfortunately, after half an hour we still didn't get any conditions at the table, which is why we left again. It's a shame, but I'm not begging for my food.

We had lunch here today, we didn't have a reservation and the inn was full. We were allowed to sit with two nice ladies. The service was quick and the food was very good and served quickly, so that we were able to continue our hike after 40 minutes. Thank you very much...we will definitely come back.

We have been to this magnificent restaurant, it was full of people, there was no room, you have to make a reservation, you can see the quality of the food, everything was delicious, we ordered roast deer with the typical German potato ball and the other dish is pike-perch fish fillet with vegetables in Lemon sauce and boiled potatoes were delicious except the vegetables were not good, they were very soggy, otherwise the 2 dishes were very good, so if the customer service is poor, they take a while to serve you and when they bring you the drink and the food together they no longer They come to see if you need something to drink or eat more... but due to the quality of their food I recommend that you try that restaurant

Sehr schönes Speiselokal, mit Appartement Vermietung. Wir waren aber nur zum Essen vor Ort, ergo wird nur das Lokal bewertet 😉 Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich...und sehr zivilisierte Preise. 👍 Die Bedienung nett und freundlich. 😊

Gemütliche, fränkische Wirtschaft mit großer Speisenauswahl zu angemessenen Preisen. Die Teller werden hübsch angerichtet. Sehr nette Bedienung! Manchmal recht voll, lieber vorher reservieren. Perfekter Anlaufpunkt für eine Wanderung von Pottenstein (Rundweg: Pottenstein - Himmelsleiter- Einkehr - zurück an der romantischen Püttlach entlang).

Super tolle Schnitzel, noch selbst geklopft und in der Pfanne herausgebraten. Bekommt man kaum noch. Sehr lecker!!!

Wir waren zum Essen im Kapellenhof. Keine Übernachtung. Kamen von der Wanderung von der Himmelsleiter über den Höhenweg dorthin. Es war alles reserviert. Da es noch nicht 12.00 Uhr war und die Reservierung erst zu 13.30 Uhr anstand, konnten wir doch dort essen. Es war sehr lecker. Essen kann auch sehr schnell. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Nächste Mal aber lieber rechtzeitig reservieren.

Als wir nach dem Wandern hungrig ankamen mussten wir zwar ein bisschen warten weil zwei große Gruppen da waren aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt sehr freundlicher Service und super gutes Essen wir kommen gerne immer wieder hierher nach dem Wandern

Gemütliches Lokal. Freundlicher Service. Kinder willkommen. Hund war auch dabei. Essen hervorragend. Man merkt hier wird noch richtig gekocht. Keine Fertig Ware.

Wir waren von diesem Landgasthof mehr als angenehm überrascht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Meine Frau, die sehr kritisch urteilt gab dem Fr.Sauerbraten keine 1 sondern eine 1a. Meine Bratkartoffeln zum Zander auf Gemüsebett waren köstlich, der Fisch nicht trocken und das Gemüsebett frisch. Schlicht und einfach leckerst. Allein der Geruch und der optische Eindruck der Speisen waren eine Labsal. Der Biergarten (22° im Schatten) sauber und aufgeräumt. Am Nachbartisch schwelgten zwei Herren in Oma gebackenem Apfelstrudel. Einige Tische weiter sahen Teller mit Schnitzel und Pommes sehr verlockend aus. Wir kommen wieder.🤗😋👍🙋‍♂️ Sehr gutes Leistungs/Preisverhältnis.

Sehr gutes Essen, netter Service und angemessene Preise. Auf Wünsche der Gäste wird eingegangen und man kann bar und mit Karte bezahlen. Hundefreundlich und ein Spielplatz für Kinder. Ich würde wiederkommen.

An einem Donnerstag im Sommer war ich der erste Gast zu Mittag. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz am Haus. Die Geräumige Terrasse ist ein schöner, schattiger Platz. Es ist kein Verkehrslärm zu hören. Dafür hört man die Hühner mit ihrem Hahn in der Nachbarschaft. Auch Pferde können unter Bäumen „geparkt“ werden. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Sehr gutes Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Alles sauber und gut gepflegt.

Waren an einem Samstag 15:45 da und haben wirklich super lecker gegessen. Alles war klasse. Haben auch nicht lange gewartet wirklich empfehlenswert.

Wir waren auf der Rückfahrt und haben das Restaurant zufällig entdeckt. Sehr positiv, dass es auch noch 14 Uhr Essen gibt. Das Essen war sehr gut, dazu eine reichliche Portion und zivilisierte Preise.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe zum Mittagessen in dortigen Biergarten. Sehr gutes Essen und grosse Portionen. Schäuferle mit 2 Klösen 13,80. Sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aber das Sauerkraut, ebenso wie Blaukraut bei Sauerbraten, nochmals einen Zuschlag von 3 € kostete. Hab ich bisher noch nie so erfahren und machte das Essen schon teurer. Deshalb auch einen Punkt Abzug.

Das Schnitzel ist sehr gut, aber die Käsespätzle sollte man sich wirklich sparen. Sind im Prinzip nur Spätzle über welche eine Scheibe Käse geklatscht wird, welche dort dann zerläuft. Bedienungen sind sehr langsam und wenig aufmerksam wenn neue Gäste kommen und bedient werden könnten.

Etwas abgelegen, aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Trotz zweier Veranstaltungen an dem Tag wurden wir freundlich und schnell bedient. Das Essen war top, sehr lecker und echt günstig. Sollten wir nochmals in die richtung fahren, jederzeit wieder.

Bei der Leberknödelsuppe schmeckte man noch die Brühwürfel auf den Knödeln. Kloß beim aufgewärmten Sauerbraten mit Fertigsoße nicht durch, Salate muss man extra bezahlen, deshalb nicht ganz billig. Im Sommer ist das Essen dort besser.

Der Kapellenhof ist ein richtig schöner Landgasthof mit einem urigen, gemütlichem Ambiente und einer sehr guten Auswahl an leckeren Speisen und Getränken. Bei gutem Wetter bietet der große Biergarten einen tolle Platz zum Sitzen und Verweilen.

Wir kamen 30 Minuten bevor geschlossen werden sollte, trotzdem super nett und kein bisschen Streß oder Eile. Essen war sehr lecker und alles soweit beurteilbar frisch gekocht (z.B Blaukraut knackig, Spätzle sehr unterschiedlich groß, also beides wohl nicht industriell). Preis fanden wir auch sehr fair, die Portion hat alle satt gemacht.

Es gab bei uns das Schlemmerschnitzel und Schweinemedaillons mit hausgemachten Spätzle. Es war richtig lecker und eine ordentliche Portion. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und ordentlich. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt durch und durch. Wir waren 2019 auch schon mal hier und die Qualität ist geblieben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren nach einer Wanderung entlang des malerischen Pűttlachtals hier eingekehrt und haben im idyllischen Biergarten gesessen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Schäufele, Bauernomelette, Spätzle für den Jüngsten und Kaiserschmarrn. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir kommen sicher wieder. Ein kleiner Abzug nur für den Espresso, aber in einer ansonsten tollen fränkischen Wirtschaft sicher nicht das Kriterium.
