Wir waren Essen, lecker fränkisch Schäufele mit Fassbier.

Wir waren hier zunächst bei einer Wanderung (von Pottenstein ca 3 bis 4 km gut erreichbar) zu einer Pause im Biergarten, bei der wir das leckere Bier getrunken, aber nichts gegessen hatten. Die zahlreichen Gäste an den umliegenden Plätzen und insbesondere deren Essen hat uns dazu gebracht, am nächsten Tag zum Essen zu kommen : das Schlemmer-/Schnitzel aus der Pfanne und der selbst gemachte Kartoffelsalat waren klasse. Schade, dass wir keine Zeit mehr hatten, um nochmals wieder hier hin zu gehen. Wenn wir also wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen in einer tollen Lage

Sehr schöne Wirtschaft mit großen Biergarten. Das Essen ist schmackhaft und preislich ok. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich und schnell. Für einen Wochenensausflug ideal!!

Leckere fränkische Küche. Schäufele vom feinsten, top Preise. Wir kamen als Gruppe zur Mittagszeit am Sonntag und obwohl es innen wie außen voll war, bekamen wir schnell die Getränke und das Essen - super Service. Leider gab es keinen Spielplatz, nur eine Wiese. Das wäre noch sehr schön, wenn ein Sandkasten und eine Schaukel vorhanden wären. Absolute Empfehlung.

Hervorragendes Essen und sehr netter Service. Draußen zu sitzen und einfach zu entspannen, ist eine tolle Möglichkeit, das Mittagessen zu genießen.

Abseits gelegen, haben wir das Lokal bei einer Wanderung letztes Jahr entdeckt. Preis-Leistung finde ich gut, das Personal auch...

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet. Das konnten wir beobachten, da die Tür zu Küche offen stand.😉 ABER, die Portionen sind wirklich sehr reichlich. Wer keinen supergroßen Hunger hat, sollte sich deshalb evtl. eine kleine Portion (wird von allen Gerichten angeboten) bestellen. Alles in allem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar und das Lokal uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Restaurant: Das Essen war lecker und der Service freundlich. Faire Preise, rustikale Atmosphäre, aber angenehm. Der Beilagensalat war das einzige, was uns nicht so gut geschmeckt hat. Das Schäufele war ein Traum!

Von hier aus kann man tolle Wanderungen machen. Der Weg nach Pottenstein ist ca 4 km und auf dem Weg gibt es einen 30 m hohen (150 Stufen) Aussichtsturm. Der Kapellenhof hat nur am Wochenende für sehr beschränkte Zeit geöffnet . Das Essen war fantastisch, gute fränkische Küche.

Das Essen, Cordon Bleu und Schweinehüftsteak, waren Megalecker. Sehr freundliche Bedienungen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Delicious food, good value for money, best to call ahead and reserve – especially on weekends.

A very nice Franconian inn with friendly service and absolutely delicious food. We had sauerbraten with red cabbage, the kids had spaetzle with cream sauce and dumplings with gravy, and for dessert, chocolate soufflé. Everyone loved it! 👍 Highly recommended!

I ate there for the second time today, and I have to say it's absolutely delicious. My wife and I had the Schlemmerschnitzel and the Pizza Cordon Bleu, which were truly inventive, but the real standout was the liver dumpling soup. The dumplings were homemade, absolutely stunning.

Beautifully located inn. The food, ambiance, and service were all 5-star. This was our second visit. We'll definitely be back.

The food is absolutely delicious, all lovingly cooked by Grandma herself. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable. I haven't had such delicious food in a long time.

You can tell them by their side salad – the good restaurants! 11 people were there, and every plate was great. The salad was under €20. I can only agree with all the other 5* reviewers. Everything was simply good, including the service.

Today, a small group of men hikers stopped off at the Landgasthof Kapellenhof and had a wonderful time. From the beautiful surroundings and cozy atmosphere to the very friendly staff and the excellent food at fair prices – everything was perfect, and we'll always remember you fondly! We've been here twice in a row. The beer garden is nicely shady, and the staff is very friendly. The food was great—delicious, large portions at a very fair price! The potato pancakes were amazing. The next day, we had shoulder of pork with dumplings. If we're in the area again, we'll be back.

The food here always tastes amazing. I've tried my way through the menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is always fresh, and since I come from a restaurant background, I know what to look for. You guys are simply fantastic, and the service team here is always friendly. A very nice beer garden, extremely friendly service, and delicious food. Upon request, they made special dumplings without "Bröckerla" (a kind of dumpling with a swirl of bread) for my gluten-intolerant son. Top!

I wasn't staying overnight, but stopped in during a hike. Very idyllic location, delicious food, friendly service. Vegetarians are also catered for; the vegetable frikaellen were delicious. Completely satisfied.

The pizza cordon bleu and the sauerbraten were fantastic!!! A cozy beer garden. Card payments are also accepted. We'd love to go again!

Rural area We'll definitely be back

We stumbled upon this inn by chance on our way back to our holiday home in the Ahorntal Valley. It's a bit hidden, but the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Perhaps we'll be able to stop there again.

During a trip to Pottenstein, we decided to have lunch at the Landgasthof Kapellenhof. A very, very good decision. Both our meals were excellent. I was particularly impressed by the fish. I definitely recommend this inn if you're in the area.

After a hike, we stopped by the beer garden and were completely impressed: super-friendly staff, delicious food, and absolutely fair prices. We'd definitely be back!

Excellent food at a reasonable price.

There were 49 of us here. The food was beyond excellent. I haven't eaten so well and affordably in a long time! The salad was super fresh and flavorful! Here in Thuringia, you pay almost 8 euros for a small salad, and the same for a cup of soup. Here, it's 3.80. And for dumplings with sauce, you're paying 20 or more! Excellent, keep it up! I would like to add one small criticism: since I had a direct view into the kitchen, it would have been nice if the blonde lady working at the dumpling pot would tie her hair back.

We ate in the beer garden. Absolutely phenomenal food (sauerbraten, roast venison, spaetzle with cream sauce for the kids) and very friendly service.

We came here quite spontaneously for dinner with a large group at Whitsun, and it was delicious 😋. We were given a separate room with three tables for 6, which was perfectly fine. This meant there was still a table available for other guests. It was quite busy that day, so the food took a while to arrive, but everything was hot and delicious. I can especially recommend the Kaiserschmarrn. A large portion with apple sauce on the side. And fresh and guaranteed homemade. Plus, a fairly extensive menu with plenty of choice. There's also a beer garden. I can't rate the rooms.

Top restaurant, German cuisine. Extremely tasty and great price. Were there for the second time and the quality hasn't diminished. The service is very nice, but you have to wait quite a while just for the drinks. Food simply takes longer, but is fresh. Just think that, like everywhere else, there are too few staff. I went there for lunch today and enjoyed zander on a bed of vegetables with lemon cream sauce and rosemary potatoes. The dish was absolutely delicious and left nothing to be desired. 👍👍👍 The country inn was a lucky find, but I'll definitely visit again on my next trip to Franconian Switzerland and definitely recommend it. ☺️

Absolutely delicious! Reservations are an advantage, you can usually park in front of the door and take a nice walk after your meal. You get your food pretty quickly, so you don't have to linger for long. In terms of taste, it was really delicious, but my deer was a little salty. Gladly again!

Today we had dinner in the Kapellenhof with a group of 8 people. What can I say, 5 out of 5 stars. Everything was very tasty, value for money was excellent, large portions and the service was very friendly and quick. Absolutely recommended.

We were there for lunch at around 2:30 p.m. in the beer garden. It is located just outside of Pottenstein and is very quiet. There were still a few places around that time or many left so slowly. We had a vegetarian dish and one with meat. Both very tasty, fresh and hot. The service was also very friendly. You could pay by card.

Quiet location, shady beer garden. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food, which was due to a large group who ordered before us. The food was very tasty and came for 6 of us at the same time. We also treated ourselves to dessert.

We went there because of the numerous positive reviews. Unfortunately, the food or the schnitzel wasn't to our taste at all. Pale and even greasier than the glassy fries. Ordered four and had four returned. Too bad about the money.

So far the best rump steak didn't have to wait long. I don't know. Room was just for eating as everything was great and served super quickly despite a group of 30 people

We would have liked to have eaten here today, the beer garden was relatively well attended. Unfortunately, after half an hour we still didn't get any conditions at the table, which is why we left again. It's a shame, but I'm not begging for my food.

We had lunch here today, we didn't have a reservation and the inn was full. We were allowed to sit with two nice ladies. The service was quick and the food was very good and served quickly, so that we were able to continue our hike after 40 minutes. Thank you very much...we will definitely come back.

We have been to this magnificent restaurant, it was full of people, there was no room, you have to make a reservation, you can see the quality of the food, everything was delicious, we ordered roast deer with the typical German potato ball and the other dish is pike-perch fish fillet with vegetables in Lemon sauce and boiled potatoes were delicious except the vegetables were not good, they were very soggy, otherwise the 2 dishes were very good, so if the customer service is poor, they take a while to serve you and when they bring you the drink and the food together they no longer They come to see if you need something to drink or eat more... but due to the quality of their food I recommend that you try that restaurant

Sehr schönes Speiselokal, mit Appartement Vermietung. Wir waren aber nur zum Essen vor Ort, ergo wird nur das Lokal bewertet 😉 Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich...und sehr zivilisierte Preise. 👍 Die Bedienung nett und freundlich. 😊
