I spontaneously went there with my wife. We wanted something different from pizza and the like.
We relied on the waiter's recommendation and weren't disappointed. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is very charmingly decorated, and the dim lighting creates a lovely atmosphere.
I only deducted one star for the food because my lamb skewer was a bit overcooked and quite spicy. But that's really nitpicking! We'll definitely be back.
We were turned away with our dog on two consecutive evenings. The reason given was that it was "wet outside" and "damp in the woods," therefore no dogs were allowed. Our dog was dry both times. The weather was even good all day on the second day. Still no chance. I have rarely experienced such absurd logic and such a lack of understanding for guests with dogs. Dog owners seem to be unwelcome here.
An established restaurant with excellent German cuisine, the latter being increasingly rare in Wertingen.
Fast and friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Extensive lunch menu, which is regularly busy. Pleasingly, even the croquettes are homemade and nicely presented. The portions are adequate, and the prices are fair.
Highly recommended.
The outdoor area is very nice by the pond, where you can also swim.
The food is far too expensive, and we didn't like it either, and it's self-service.
I had to wait a long time for service. I briefly considered not ordering because the lady in the kitchen had to tie her long hair back in a braid before preparing the food. I then waited 15 minutes for it to be prepared (she only told me it would take that long after I had paid). The food tasted like vegetables with tough beef in a watery gravy and far too much oil. There was no oyster or soy sauce. Very disappointing.
We were pleasantly surprised by the varied menu. Besides the traditional German dishes, there were also many vegetarian and vegan options.
Great! 👍 This is how dining out should be.
We'll definitely recommend you and will gladly come back.
The food is very good and the weekend offers are highly recommended. The prices are reasonable, the service is very friendly and there are no long waiting times (we go there often and have never been disappointed, we always come back).
Everything here is perfect. A restaurant with a modern and stylish ambiance. Friendly and attentive service. And excellent cuisine featuring Italian pasta, fish, and meat dishes. I was completely won over after my first visit and will gladly return.
Amazing pizzas, great size and taste, really good.
The atmosphere in the beer garden is very cozy and inviting. The interior is also nicely decorated. We love coming here and sometimes we just grab something to eat.
Unfortunately, service has declined somewhat; I used to enjoy ordering. Nowadays, you sometimes don't get any food during opening hours because the kitchen has already been cleaned, and I'm not talking about 5 minutes before closing. Sometimes deliveries aren't possible. The pizzas have also lost some of their flavor. If the pizza is burnt, they'll reduce the price or even make a new one, but they won't tell you until you pick it up because "it's only one slice that's burnt anyway." In retrospect, the whole pizza was charred on the bottom. It's a real shame, though; it used to be the best pizzeria.
I ordered something on Friday, November 21st, 2025. The pizza was really good. If it hadn't gotten so dark, it would have been really delicious. Unfortunately, my order didn't arrive completely. I also ordered a pistachio tiramisu, which sadly didn't come with it. I tried calling, but I couldn't get through. Then I contacted them through their website, and they said they would call me back. Unfortunately, that didn't happen either. That's certainly one way to make a quick tip (€8). I definitely won't be ordering from you again.
