Prices are rising (I understand inflation, but in this case it's exaggerated) and the quality of the food is declining. The value for money is no longer worthwhile.

Was here today with my husband - the boss was so nice to serve and advise us, we took recommendations for tapas and didn't regret it - we'll be happy to come back....💯

There were three of us at this restaurant. Since it was warm and dry, we sat outside without a reservation without any problems. We enjoyed, among other things, a delicious white sangria. The tapas we ordered were all very good and tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We arrived shortly after opening, so we didn't have a problem finding space. However, the restaurant was full after a relatively short time, which speaks for itself. I also took a look inside the restaurant and found the decor very cozy. When we're back in Nuremberg, we'll definitely try to eat there again.

A nice little tapas shop with good service, delicious tapas, and a lovely atmosphere, but it's a small place with limited seating unless you sit outside. I highly recommend it.

We had made a reservation early in the day, got a crappy seat by the keg in front of the speakers (loud and lowlife), and were then seated outside as an alternative to sitting alone on the sidewalk. The owner didn't care either, just shrugged his shoulders. Then we looked at the menu: there were very few vegetarian options, and everything was very expensive. Then—escaped without ordering. Off to El Bar. Much better and great prices. Never again.

Three of us visited the restaurant today without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. We were given the menu very quickly and were also made aware of the daily special. Ordering both drinks and food was super quick. It took less than half an hour for everything to arrive at our table. The food was delicious and very well seasoned, and everything that was advertised as hot was served hot. The service was very friendly! Definitely excellent value for money! We'd love to come back!

The food is really good, but unfortunately the bacon-wrapped dates were hopelessly burnt. As a larger group, we ordered practically the entire menu, so we can judge the food quite well. Unfortunately the restaurant is quite small and you have to be lucky to get a table. What I'm deducting a star for, however, is that the tables themselves - you mostly sit on wooden bar stools - are unfortunately not very comfortable, which is particularly noticeable if you stay for a long time!

I called one on Friday 02/28/25 for Saturday 03/01/25 Man reserved a table for 4 people at 8 p.m. The friendly man said that it was ok but that we might have to sit at the bar for a few more minutes. Everything ok so far. When we arrived at the restaurant shortly before 8 yesterday there were no reservations and the bar was completely full. We still waited 10 minutes because we were a little early and then asked again if a spot would be available soon. This was denied and we were told in an extremely rude manner that the restaurant does not accept reservations and that our problem is that there are no tables available. Our friends drove extra 1 hour to nbg so that we could go to this restaurant. No apology from the restaurant or anything like that. We left straight after and won't be coming back. I've never been so rude in one Restaurant treated. The mistake was obviously not ours! Apparently the restaurant is having a communication problem whether they offer reservations or not. !!Short addendum to the owner's note: If I reserve a table at 8 p.m. I also want a table at 8 p.m. and not at 8:15 p.m. If when asked whether a table will be available soon the answer is no, then why should we wait? This has nothing to do with impatience, but simply with organization.

Cozy Spanish with delicious food.

4th time visit and I will absolutely come back again and again. Well-prepared and delicious tapas, good variety of wine, beer and other drinks, nicely decorated atmosphere plus warm and friendly service. Perfect place for date, meeting or friend/family dinner.

Unfortunately, the welcome wasn't particularly warm and the entrance area smelled terrible. The tapas were quite good, but nothing exceptional. For the aioli, an additional €2 was charged for a bread basket, which is included in other bars anyway and was not specifically ordered. You can sit on a few benches or on high chairs, so it's less comfortable.

Have already been to a few Spaniards, this one puts all the others in the shade! Actually, I shouldn't rate it that well, not that you can't get any more space... We had made a reservation and were apparently forgotten and were supposed to sit down with other guests at a wine barrel, but we didn't want to (would never have left due to lack of space) and so they complied with our request, which we thought was great again. Since we go to the Canary Islands very often and I can say we know the place well, we can rate the food well. So, we ordered a lot of different dishes and were more than surprised at how identical and delicious they were cooked and presented here! It's just a dream and the ambience and the outstanding service are simply great 😊!!! Everything is fun here, you immerse yourself in Spain. Thank you very much for this We'll be back

Waren Samstag Abends spontan hier ( wer sicher gehen möchte sollte vorher reservieren). Sofort einen Tisch bekommen, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, Blick auf Tageskarte lohnt sich immer, sehr gute Tapas, Oliven sind unser Hit. Kleine aber gute Weinauswahl. Immer wieder gerne dort!

The kitchen and service are a dream, the excellent tapas are larger than in Spain - so order in installments. The stools at the barrel tables offer interesting and free balance training (which I wish I could do without). The volume in the beautiful little restaurant was murderous on a Friday evening - it should be better early in the evening. For people with back problems the barrel tables are hellish.

Anyone who loves Spanish bodegas is in good hands here. Small but nice. Definitely worth a visit. 🍷👍

I'm sorry, but I'm used to really good tapas and that was nothing here. Tasteless, loveless. Good for eating a few olives and drinking something, but not for a delicious tapas evening. Also far too expensive.

The place is very nice and so is the staff. I take away one star because the "quantity-price" relationship seems bad to me. Furthermore, the tapas they had were very simple. This is usually the case in Spanish restaurants in Germany.

We were here for the third time on Friday and were once again very impressed. We had a really nice evening, with good food in a great atmosphere. There is definitely the best Manchego in all of Nuremberg here. The beetroot salad was to die for. There was also nothing wrong with the other dishes we had. It may be that some people rate the food as overpriced, but honestly every cent is justified here. You also want something classic Spanish and you can definitely enjoy it here. We'll definitely be back.

No card payment, no stars. We had to walk 10 minutes to the nearest bank because the owner doesn't trust banks. Food wasn't particularly good and too expensive.

Were there in the evening with 5 people. Doesn't correspond to what it thinks it is. Food is just average and completely overpriced. (5 people who know Spanish food and also cook it themselves). After the 3 jug of sangria I asked if it was non-alcoholic, after which I was given 4cl of schnapps. You could say we paid £196 (2×alioli for €2.90 but unfortunately only appeared at the table once) and left after about 2 hours very disappointed with the conclusion. NEVER AGAIN Ps. you shouldn't be very hungry.

Ein Kulinarischer Spanischer Zungenschmaus mit kleiner Zeitreise nach Spanien. Personal / Service ***** TOP Essen Gigantisch ***** DOPPEL TOP Es mag sein das der ein oder andere das essen zu Überteuert bewertet, aber ganz ehrlich……. jeden Cent gerechtfertigt. Man will ja auch was klassisch Spanisches und hier kommt man vollstens auf den Genuss. Reservierung wird empfohlen da sehr gut besucht. Kein wunder bei diesem Essen BOMBE LIEBES BODEGA EL GATO TEAM macht weiter so 👍🏻

The typical Spanish restaurant outside of Spain, the atmosphere is very good, the portions are good and some dishes such as padrón peppers or boquerones are very good. The worst is the Spanish tortilla or the salad. In short, a Spanish/Andalusian atmosphere with good tapas without being anything spectacular.

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal mit Freunden im EL GATO. Ich muss gestehen, aufgrund der schlechten Bewertungen war ich sehr skeptisch. Ich wurde angenehm überrascht. Das Personal sehr freundlich, man sitzt aussen (fast auf der Strasse, aber es war eigentlich kein Verkehr). Die Getränke- und Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich. Außerdem gab es spezielle Tagesgerichte auf einer Tafel. Wir waren 6 Personen und jeder hatte verschiedene Tapas bestellt. Die Portionen sind für Tapas groß. Ich kenne die Tapa Bars in Spanien, diese Tapas sind kein Vergleich, aber trotzdem eine Alternative. Fazit - an einem Sommerabend im Freien, bei netten Personal, guten Getränken und Tapas die jetzt nicht an das Original herankommt ist da EL GATO eine schöne Alternative.

We have always wanted to try Bodega Los Gato and finally last night did. The only thing I can complain about is that I only have one stomach and wish I could have eaten more, and that we didn’t come in sooner. Everything we got was amazing. I’m dreaming about the meatballs, sepia, gambas, aioli, peppers. Even the bread was amazing. The service was so good we actually couldn’t stop complimenting them. The wine was amazing, the owner and his wife were the sweetest, as well as our waiter. We actually felt like family too.

Ziemlich enttäuscht. Ein Zitronenhuhn das die gelbliche Farbe von Curry und Safran hat und außer nach Zitrone leider nach nichts schmeckte. Ein Orangen-Thunfischsalat der einzig aus einer geschnittenen Orange und etwas zusammen gekratztem Thunfisch besteht absolut unmariniert . Ein Krabbenpfännchen bestehend aus kochendem Öl Knoblauch und abgetrockenem Weißbrot. Ich möchte dem Chef und der Cheffin nicht zu nahe treten und einfach mal Urlaub empfehlen. Überdenken sie ihre Vorgehensweise und benachteiligen sie nicht die Leute, die ihr sauer verdientes Geld für lieblos zusammengestellte Null Acht Fünfzehn Ware ausgeben. Zuletzt noch der andalusische Kartoffelsalat. Komplett geschmacklos und einfach in Form gedrückt. Ein Esspresso mit Carlos I 8 EUR. Wobei der Carlos eher eine günstigere Version darstellte. Alles in Allem haben wir uns nicht s anmerken lassen, da wir Gäste mitgenommen haten. Was ich vergessen habe und dem Vorredner Recht gebe. Die Fidua haben wir auch für 80EUR bekommen und das war bei unserem ersten Besuch. Wir erhielten verkochte nudeln (geeignet für einen Rentner ohne Gebiss) mit knochigem und flechsigem Huhn und davon nicht viel, eine zwei Gambas zwei Muscheln und das war es dann auch schon. Wie gesagt 80 EUR! Dies war jetzt wirklich das letzte Mal, dass wir euch finanziert haben. MFG R.und N. sowie Gäste

After you have walked down the steps you enter the rustic restaurant, which simply radiates warmth and cosiness. The daily menu meets a standard selection of tapas. The aioli is really great and should always be ordered and the chorizo ​​is also a must have. But what absolutely doesn't work is the Catalana cream, which was much too liquid, so you'll definitely stay away from it. We let them go back and were then told that no gelatine was used and that's why it was so liquid. With a €90 bill, this position shouldn't have been there, it just leaves an unnecessary bad aftertaste.

Es war ein toller Abend mit leckerem Essen ist. Nicht zu viel Auswahl auf der Karte, aber diese wird mit zusätzlichen Tagesgerichten ergänzt. Preis Leistung paßt und es ging echt flott. Der Service ist super. Der Laden selbst ist klein aber fein. Einziger Punkabzug ist, dass man auf den Barhockern an den Hochtischen nicht ganz so gemütlich sitzt.

Essen war ganz gut, teilweise sehr lecker teilweise gar nicht gut. Von Service waren alle freundlich. Unser Wein und Bier hatte leider geschmeckt als wäre es mit Wasser gestreckt worden. Vllt für Tapas üblich , sehr kleine Portionen nach 3 Tapas pro Kopf , für knapp 21 Euro + Brot war keine von uns wirklich gesättigt.

Das Essen hier ist super lecker 😋. Die Bedienung ist schnell und aufmerksam. Leider kann nicht jeder Deutsch. Aber mit Englisch oder besser Spanisch kommt man gut zurecht. Das Ambiente ist sehr gut.

Waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Leuten da und hatten für den ganzen Tisch bestellt, war super lecker! Konnten draußen unter dem Dach sitzen, das war sehr gemütlich. Die Kellner sprechen aber anscheinend nur spanisch :)

Nach längerer Zeit waren wir wieder einmal hier, Dank Reservierung (sollte man unbedingt machen) auch einen schönen Tisch bekommen, und wie immer ein total herzlicher Empfang. Was mich sehr gefreut hat waren die neuen Kellnerinnen, die fast nur spanisch sprechen, was das Gefühl in Spanien zu sein noch verstärkt, dazu super freundlich und schnell. Das Essen war wie immer klasse, einziges Manko ist dass man nicht mit Karte zahlen kann, war Pech für meinen Kumpel, er hatte Bargeld dabei. Por eso, nos volveremos tan pronto. Hasta luego.

absolut tolles Essen, Portionen sind reichlich und man wird wirklich satt Die Artischocken mit der speziellen Sauce und den Rote Beete Salat mit Schafskäse und Honig unbedingt mal probieren

Ich kann die Begeisterung und die vielen Gäste ehrlich gesagt nicht nachvollziehen. Der Service ist herzlich aber das Essen ist durschnittlich. Kann man essen, muss man aber nicht. Auf jeden Fall nix besonderes. Ich hatte Zitronenhuhn, Kroketten mit Ziegenkäse, Pimentos, Aioli. Essen war nach gefühlt 3 Minuten da und so hat es auch geschmeckt. Fad und langweilig, haette ich selbst wahrscheinlich besser gemacht und das ist nicht der Sinn des Essengehen. Dazu habe ich 3 verschiedene Weine probiert, auch alle nicht wirklich gut. Tut mir leid aber das reicht trotz des netten Service nicht für mehr als 2 Punkte von 5 auch wenn es jetzt nicht "mangelhaft" war wie die Bewertung suggeriert.
