Very friendly staff. The food is very good and is delivered to everyone at the table at the same time.

Delicious Greek, with a slightly Germanized flavor in the tzatziki and salad, but still very good, and you can feel and taste the beauty of Greece 😋 ... Reservations are recommended from Friday to Sunday. Service is friendly and quick... a place to relax and linger.

Anyone who knows the real Greek cuisine far away from the hotel buffets, i.e. in the Greek villages and with the locals, knows that the dishes on offer simply meet the requirements that German guests would like to expect. But authentic to REAL Greek cuisine? There is still a lot of room for improvement. The staff very nice and friendly. Service quick.

I had lamb knuckle as my favorite dish at the Greek restaurant,... but only once or twice a year! The knuckle and rice noodles in tomato sauce were a dream 😋,...a poem! My companion also had the Apollon plate very tasty! The restaurant is highly recommended!

Wir hatten zu dritt ein schönes Mittagessen im Irodion. Unsere drei verschiedenen Mittags-Menüs (inkl. Beilagensalat) haben gut geschmeckt wie auch das Dessert. Zudem war auch der Service schnell und freundlich.

Friendly, familiar restaurant with attentive, friendly and fast service. Large menu with typical Greek dishes (Mon-Fri cheap lunch menu). I was there at the beginning of March 2025 and had tender leg of lamb with a side salad (€20.90), Galaktoboureko (€6.90) as well as a Leitches wheat beer (0.5l €4.90) and ouzo on the house; Everything was very tasty and prepared very quickly. Tasteful furnishings, unobtrusive background noise, quiet mood music. Audience very mixed. Apparently there are a lot of regulars from the surrounding residential area. Toilets in the basement are clean. Absolutely recommended!

One thing in advance! : The quality of the food is very good and the service is mostly quick and friendly. I also get a star for that. We have been guests in Irodion for many years, until the old owner had the restaurant, it was a top address for Greek cuisine, price-performance and portion/quantity were right. But now it has become outrageously expensive and the portion sizes have shrunk by 1/3. E.g. lunch menus, there is no longer any soup including a bread basket and if you do, it is exactly 1 slice of baguette per person. Dear people, it's just too expensive!!! And it is no longer in proportion to what you get. E.g. A lunch table; Mousaka (small piece, used to be about twice as big), salad, pita bread and small spritzer €25!!! See photos. We're not coming anymore, it's just not worth it. Of course everything has become more expensive, but you can also exaggerate.

Both food and place with a good taste! Finally a recommendation for my friends, after feeling that most of the greek restaurants I have been in Munich are pretentious and overpriced. Portions are rather small, though.

Our favorite Greek. We always enjoy going there. The food is Greek home cooking and tastes very good. A plus for me is that there are also small portions (senior people's plates).

Real Greek, very familiar. In the summer there was an ouzo before and after a meal, which has now been reduced to one ouzo. The lunch menus are a little cheaper, but also much smaller than the evening menu. Therefore a star deduction. In the photo you can see two lunch menus. The quality of the food is very good and the service is quick and attentive. We will come here from time to time. In summer you can also sit outside.

Had a very good meal there. Large and tasty portions. Service meets all special requests. The only drawback: the prices are quite high. 20 to 26€ for a portion is excessive. Similar Greek food can be found cheaper elsewhere…

Delicious food, nice service, I'll be back. Addendum: Unfortunately now extremely expensive. Gyros for 17.90 euros, a year ago it was 11.90 euros. I think that's a huge price increase. I'd rather go to Thalassa, where they have the gyros for 15.50 euros and it's even tastier.

In the "Restaurant Irodion Sendling" Greek cuisine is certainly not being reinvented, but it has been serving honest food of reliable quality for many years. (Only the side salad has shrunk over time to just a few green leaves with carrots and a little dressing.) It's best to order one of the various grill plates from the quick and friendly staff. The gyros from the oven with Metaxa sauce are also good. As a little extra, in addition to the obligatory free ouzo as an aperitif, there is another glass at the end. My wife and I always enjoy going to the “Irodion”. Since the restaurant is usually busy, I would definitely recommend making a reservation for special occasions.

I recently ate at this restaurant and overall the food was fine. However, there were a few points that disappointed me. The salad was extremely small, so tiny that it was barely enough for a baby. The taste was okay, but I definitely expected more for the price. The main course was okay, nothing special but not bad either. Overall it was an average experience but honestly I don't need to come here again.

Easy reservation, easy to reach by public, no folkloric atmosphere, good value for money, good selection, friendly staff,... We'll be back

We were in Munich again for two days, and of course we had to go to our favorite Greek restaurant. As always, the restaurant was quite busy, and yet you were warmly greeted right at the entrance. As always, the food is really tasty, the service is incredibly nice and friendly, and the prices are also reasonable. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Munich.

Always my pleasure! The food is great, the conditions are friendly, fast and well organized. We have enjoyed coming here for years. Even if you are there with a larger group (15-20 people), the food is brought to everyone almost exactly at the same time and the drinks are also brought to the table very quickly :)

Always get a seat whether inside or in the beer garden. The service is great and food and drinks are served quite quickly. Price-performance could be better but that's normal for Munich.

Traditional location in Sendling, super tasty, and good portions. Update February 25, 2024: hefty price increase for take-away gyros just under €18, without any further explanation, on the menu still 12.50 as always. Tips also paid with card, receipt shows something different. When asked what the difference is between the menu price and the more expensive price paid, it is not answered; the other waiter has to clarify that. No thanks, with such an expensive gyro in my hand, I won't wait until it's cold and will just think about whether I want to eat here next time. It's a shame, things went well for a few years...

Very nice atmosphere, the service is very attentive and extra requests or changes to side dishes are no problem. We had gyros in metaxa sauce and gyros with baby calamari. As a starter, tzatziki with bread. The food was incredibly tasty and delicious! The price-performance ratio is also still right here. The portions are enough to fill you up. We will definitely eat here more often. You just feel comfortable in this restaurant, highly recommended!
