Always my pleasure! The food is great, the conditions are friendly, fast and well organized. We have enjoyed coming here for years. Even if you are there with a larger group (15-20 people), the food is brought to everyone almost exactly at the same time and the drinks are also brought to the table very quickly :)

Friendly reception. We wanted to sit on the terrace and the waiter kept an eye on it until a table became available. Good food too. Gyros from the oven with mushrooms.

In the "Irodion" Greek cuisine is certainly not being reinvented, but it has been serving honest food of reliable quality for many years. (Only the side salad has shrunk over time to just a few green leaves with carrots and a little dressing.) It's best to order one of the various grill plates from the quick and friendly staff. The gyros from the oven with Metaxa sauce are also good. As a little extra, in addition to the obligatory free ouzo as an aperitif, there is another glass at the end. My wife and I always enjoy going to the “Irodion”. Since the restaurant is usually busy, I would recommend making a reservation for special occasions.

Experienced today nearly 1 hour waiting time to have the main course of the order ready. I could not accept such waiting time, and had to cancel the order.

Always get a seat whether inside or in the beer garden. The service is great and food and drinks are served quite quickly. Price-performance could be better but that's normal for Munich.

Terrible food for the simple fact that both my fiancé and I were sick immediately afterwards. He had a stomach ache and I was nauseous that same evening and had stomach ache for the next two days. We both got gyros and souvlaki

Traditional location in Sendling, super tasty, and good portions. Update February 25, 2024: hefty price increase for take-away gyros just under €18, without any further explanation, on the menu still 12.50 as always. Tips also paid with card, receipt shows something different. When asked what the difference is between the menu price and the more expensive price paid, it is not answered; the other waiter has to clarify that. No thanks, with such an expensive gyro in my hand, I won't wait until it's cold and will just think about whether I want to eat here next time. It's a shame, things went well for a few years...

Very nice atmosphere, the service is very attentive and extra requests or changes to side dishes are no problem. We had gyros in metaxa sauce and gyros with baby calamari. As a starter, tzatziki with bread. The food was incredibly tasty and delicious! The price-performance ratio is also still right here. The portions are enough to fill you up. We will definitely eat here more often. You just feel comfortable in this restaurant, highly recommended!

Irodion is situated at the end of our road so we come here fairly regularly and are never disappointed! The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Yesterday evening we were there with a large group of friends (10 people) and we were all very impressed. The service was excellent: the staff were attentive with a great sense of humour! Thank you for a lovely evening - we'll be back!

Grundsolide griechische Küche. Der Service ist sehr nett und flott. Ouzo geht auf‘s Haus. Unter der Woche bekommt man in der Regel ohne Reservierung einen Platz.

Waren zu Besuch in der Stadt. Wir bekamen einen Tisch ohne Reservierung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Kindermenüs sind auch vorhanden. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis . Gemütliche Atmosphäre und auch draußen schön zu sitzen.

Best classic greek food in munich!!

Hatte den Rhodos-Teller und war sehr zufrieden. Die Leber war auf den Punkt, das Gyros knusprig, der Tomatenreis schmackhaft. Nur der Beilagensalat war etwas lieblos. Service war fast immer sehr aufmerksam. Die Lage im Außenbereich ist ok, man könnte es aber bestimmt liebevoller gestalten.

Seit vielen Jahren unser Lieblings-Grieche! Hier stimmt einfach alles. Exzellente Speisen (z.B. der gegrillte Oktopus als Vorspeise), super Service, schönes Ambiente und moderate Preise. Hoffentlich bleibt uns das Irodion noch lange erhalten!

Das Irodion ist ein sehr familienfreundliches und authentisches griechisches Restaurant in mitten der Nachbarschaft. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nette und zuvorkommend. Die Anbiente ist zum Essen angenehme und bei gutem Wetter kann man die Terasse nutzen die zum Essen einladen. Die Gerichte sind geschmacklich sehr lecker, werden frisch zubereitet, sind von den Portionen groß und zu einem angemessenen Preis. Hervorheben sollte man den Ouzo den man vor der Bestellung serviert bekommt und ein Kaffe/Espresso nach dem Essen. Soweit ich das kenne bietet so ein Service in München nur wenige an! Da es nicht unser erster Besuch war, wird es auch nicht unser letzter Besuch sein. Ein Besuch auf alle Fälle lohnenswert. PS: Wenn man spontan ist und das Glück auf seiner Seite hat, kann man auch ohne reservierung hin, empfehle es aber nicht unbedingt.

I came here for dinner on Saturday. Due to our limited German skills, the waiter asked another waiter (who also appeared to be the bartender) to take our order in English when we had a question about the menu. There was a problem with our drinks when they were brought to the table. A kind and understanding waitress tried to help us resolve the issue with her colleague but the waiter who took the order was clearly annoyed and argued with me instead of admitting he made a mistake. They took the drink off the bill but did not offer a replacement so I ate my meal with nothing. Overall the service was slow and the food was fine. I enjoy supporting local businesses but unfortunately I will not return to Restaurant Irodion after this unpleasant experience.

... haben wir schon lange nicht mehr griechisch gegessen. Zuerst hatten wir befürchtet, daß wir keinen Platz bekommen, weil wir nicht reserviert hatten. Doch es waren noch genügend Plätze für uns zwei frei und wir konnten sogar im Freien sitzen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir wurden gut bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend – wir hatten einen Olympia-Teller für zwei Personen. Die Portionen waren gut bemessen und wir waren danach sehr satt. Auch der Bauernsalat voraus war sehr lecker.

Ottimo ristorante greco, servizio gentile e veloce, prezzi assolutamente nella norma. Non essendo molto centrale non é affatto turistico, infatti é frequentato quasi esclusivamente da gente del posto. Consigliatissimo anche per i vegetariani, che troveranno comunque diverse opzioni (cosa non sempre scontata nei ristoranti greci in Germania).

This restaurant is in our neighbourhood and always on our list or quite sometime now. We appreciate the options that Greek cuisine has to offer. Lovely staff, so welcoming and very swift service also. Good place to be with your friends and family. I would give full 5 stars, however, you cannot pay with online banks card (e.g. N26) so we had to go to the ATM and get some cash, which was a little bit frustrating.

ich war heute zum essen und haben für die Getränke viel gewartet weil der Kellner war sehr beschäftig mit zwei jungen Frauen zuflirten .hat die ganze zeit ohne arbeits schürze gearbeitet.ich habe zwei Fleisch Gericht bestellt und die beiden Portion waren extrem klein ich empfehle dieses restorant für jede person die wenig essen wollen und viel bezahlen wollen und mit ihrer frau scheiden lassen wil. ich war bei anderen restorants damit ich sat werde weil das essen nicht genüg war.

Umgeben von Wohnhäusern, bietet das Irodion viel Platz für einen ausgedehnten südl. Schmaus. Der Laden wurden meiner besseren Hälfte und mir wärmstens empfohlen und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht: leckeres Essen, gute und große Portionen und ein netter Service ( hier bekommt man direkt zu Beginn erst mal einen Kurzen, am Ende ebenfalls ) machten das ganze zu einem sehr angenehmen Abend. Preise sind ebenfallst in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Me & the wife are very paticular in eating out and usually find something wrong with the food / Staff / place but everything about this Resturant is Tip Top. I had Mixed Fish dish which was absolutely delicious and the wife who also had fish was extremely happy with her food. I would highly recommend this Greek Resturant.

Fuimos el primer día nada más llegar del aeropuerto por que estaba cerca del hotel y tuvimos que volver obligatoriamente. Un servicio de 10 y muy simpáticos, el tiempo entre platos es perfecto y la comida simplemente exquisita. No puedo poner ninguna pega a este sitio.

if you like Greece or Mediterranean food and you are not afraid of garlic: you are welcome and that's right place for you. Huge menue selection - and some special offers of the day which will be announced and recommended only by waiters. during rush hours sometimes staff becomes unfriendly or unpatient. for larger groups reservation is recommended for days in advance. sometimes quite difficult finding free parking lots - about 5-10 minutes walking distance froom next subway station.

Meine Kollegen und ich waren nach einem anstrengenden Messetag im Iridion eingekehrt. Die für griechische Restaurants üblichen üppigen Portionen kamen zügig nach der Bestellung und waren geschmacklich auch sehr gut. Leider kam es bei der Bezahlung zu einem sehr unschönen Ende unseres Aufenthalts. Die Bedienung versuchte zunächst auf witzige Weise mehr Trinkgeld zu bekommen. Da wir allerdings schon reichlich aufgerundet hatten, sahen wir dazu keine Notwendigkeit. Aus dem Scherzhaften wurde bitterer Ernst und die Bedienung bestand auf höheres Trinkgeld. Schade, dass es so geendet hat. Nicht zu empfehlen.

I spent the past weekend in Munich going to various sporting events with my Munich friend and after the football match we decided on Greek food and he said he knew the perfect place. We arrived to Irodion without a reservation on a busy Saturday and were greeted and the host found us a table and we for the next 2 hours were served by the waiter team who were fabulous. Family managed and it shows in the passion of service. The dishes were outstanding, meatballs, lamb, the garlic laced food was delightful. Wine is plentifull and not overpriced. The dining room is attractive and clean. Enjoyable evening!

Das Irodion ist seit einigen Jahren unsere Anlaufstelle für griechisches Essen. In dieser Zeit konnten wir in zahlreichen Besuchen nahezu alle Gerichte der Karte genießen - und hatten dabei keinen einzigen Fehlgriff. Von einem klassischen Dorfteller mit Fleischspezialitäten, über gemischte Vorspeisen, hinzu verschiedener Aufläufe, bietet das Irodion eine authentische und leckere Küche. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, im Sommer besteht die Möglichkeit auf der Terasse zu sitzen. Auch in größeren Gruppen oder mit Kindern findet man gut einen Platz. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und immer zuvorkommend. Begrüßt wird man mit einen Ouzo vorab, zur Rechnung kann man zwischen Espresso oder einem zweiten Ouzo wählen. Absolute Empfehlung!
