An absolutely great evening at this restaurant, the food was fantastic, fast and very friendly service I couldn't think to improve anything there and we will certainly be returning for another increadible evening there

Unfortunately, the food was very salty, and the fish was perhaps not quite as fresh... The service wasn't surprised by the criticism, but they didn't offer any accommodations either. All in all, very bad food and equally bad service... What a shame.

We sat in the garden and had a wonderful evening! We ordered a mix of Greek dishes to share, and we absolutely loved everything we ate. The chicken souvlaki, in particular, was outstanding. It might just be the best Greek restaurant in Munich. On top of that, the staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and charming. In short, it was a flawless experience — I highly recommend it to everyone.

We're on our way to the 3rd. It's a very friendly restaurant, and the food is truly delicious. The waiter, "Socrates," is very friendly and loves Turks. We were very pleased with everything. This is a must-visit place for Turks who don't know what to eat in Munich.

In a word, fantastic. I'm thrilled. Service is a top priority here. The waiters are all very relaxed, serving guests with lively wit and typical Greek cheer. Special requests are no problem at all and are fulfilled immediately. The motto here is "sit down, feel comfortable, and enjoy your meal." The garden is large and surrounded by a hedge, so you can enjoy your meal in complete peace. The tzatziki is, of course, homemade and perfectly balanced, not too much salt or garlic—a delight. The only thing that could be improved is some music for the garden, but perhaps that's not allowed, as residents live above and next to the restaurant. Price-wise, it's a bit higher, but the quality is top-notch and the portions are generous. I'll definitely be back.

For a delicious Greek meal in Munich, you can choose this place! We ordered chicken, Greek salad, and various hot and cold appetizers. While the salt content was a bit high, overall, they were all very tasty, large, and filling. We sat in the garden. The atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant. My only complaint was a small mouse running around under our table. Although there's outdoor seating, it's not something you'd want in a restaurant, and something could be done to address this. The staff and service were also excellent. They were friendly, attentive, and fast. The lemoncello they offered at the end was a sweet gesture. We enjoyed our meal here, and if we ever return to Munich, we'll definitely want to return.

Wow! Delicious food. Atmosphere was good. But hats off to the staff. Really made you feel like you were having dinner with family. We got the kos, athene, and Santorini plates. Everything was great! Very generous portions too. I cannot say enough. No picture because my phone was dead. Will be going back next time I'm in Munich.

The foods and service was very good. Prices are not expensive. In Greece, the desert after dinner is routine with no extra. It could be added to menu. I can recommend this place

We were in Munich for almost a week and immediately fell in love with the Athene restaurant. Although there's certainly no shortage of wonderful places to eat and feast in Munich, we visited the restaurant for the second time on our last evening and were once again delighted. Very friendly and attentive staff, super delicious Greek cuisine (feta saganaki followed by gyros with the best tzatziki I've ever tasted) make the Athene restaurant a place we will definitely visit again on our next visit to Munich. Many thanks to the fantastic team for two wonderful evenings.

Found this place by accident. Place is a gem! Best meal we had while in Munich. Food is fantastic! Service is excellent. Ordered grilled fish and lamb fillet, also had bread, salad and tzatzki (best I ever had!). Staff the friendliest we ever met in Munich. Price reasonable. Highly recommended. Hervorragendes griechisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliches, flexibles und hilfsbereites Personal. Große Auswahl an griechischen Speisen, die sehr gut zubereitet sind. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Freien sind bequem, (nur nahe an einer befahrenen Straße). Auch als Gruppe ist man jederzeit willkommen und Bestellungen von 30 Leuten a la Carte waren kein Problem. Wirklich gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Lediglich ein als Hauptgericht deklarierter Salat war wirklich klein, weiß aber nicht mehr welcher das war. Daher gerade noch Höchstpunktzahl ;-)

Athena's dish was excellent, the village food was good, the Greek wine was wonderful, and at the end they even treated us to Tyrnavos tsipouro. A very nice evening. Well done to the children of Greece.

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The dishes served up were absolutely delicious, each one packed with bold, fresh flavors. The portion size was generous too, making the experience even more satisfying. But it’s not just the food that stands out—it’s the team. The guys serving and chatting with us were incredibly friendly and attentive, always with a smile. They made us feel genuinely welcome, remembered our names, and seemed to really enjoy what they do . Their energy took a great meal and turned it into a memorable evening.

Not just Greek food, but a taste of Greece itself! We had the best, most delectable food as well as a great waiter. The team at Athene takes pride in sharing their Greek food, so much so that they insisted we try one of their homemade desserts and a digestif, on the house. Highly recommend all around!

Very, very friendly service, the kind you rarely experience these days. The dishes we had were consistently good. Solid Greek cuisine.

A large capital like Munich offers you the chance to "escape" the routine of German food, with many restaurants representative of other culinary cultures. A magnificent example of this is this Greek restaurant, where the menu, packed with classic dishes from that country, invites you to indulge yourself. In my case, I ordered the baby squid and grilled octopus (€20.90) with fried potatoes and boiled potatoes. The squid was especially delicious. I accompanied it with pita bread (€2) and Paulaner Dunkel beer. For dessert, an Einscaffe (€4.90). I was served a complimentary shot of Ramazzotti. Definitely a place to return to.

Great restaurant, impeccable service, you feel at home here. Highly recommended on the otherwise overpriced Nymphenburger Strasse. The friendliness is almost unbeatable. I personally can absolutely recommend it.

One of the best Greek restaurants I tried in Munich, the staff is super and friendly and the food moussaka and the baklava was amazing and delicious!

This policy is unfair; they will consistently kick you out after a slight delay beyond their stated working hours. Sometimes, they claim that only cash is accepted because normal working hours have passed. Overall, they provide poor service, low-quality offerings, and disrespectful treatment. It's disappointing, especially since I work in the neighborhood.

Weil wir uns in der Nähe der U-Station Maillingerstraße befanden, besuchten wir zum Mittagessen das sehr gut bewertete Athene. Als oft durch Griechenland gereiste - Festland und Inseln - können wir die hohen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen: das Lammkotelett von der Athene-Platte (€ 18,90) und die Baby-Calamari (Mittagskarte € 10,50) waren zwar zart, doch insgesamt fehlte es der Platte an Würze, die Gyrosstücke schmeckten trocken und die kleinen Kalamari hätten ein paar mehr sein dürfen. Nicht zuletzt der kaum geharzte Retsina und die Dudelmusik ließen das geliebte Griechenland vermissen. Da half auch der kleine Pudding aufs Haus nicht mehr.

There is a very good price-performance ratio here. Conditions are always cheerful and accommodating. We received the food quickly on each of our visits and were extremely satisfied!

This is my favorite Greek restaurant ever! I’ve been to Munich 4 times and always make sure to make my way here, the service is GREAT (especially our server Saki) and he remembers us even if it’s been months since the last time we’ve been. The food is so fresh and it’s a such a nice spot, 10/10 recommend!!!

I can only recommend this restaurant! The food was really delicious and the price was more than fair (€17 for souvlaki calamari) The waiters were super nice and funny and even gave us two rounds of schnapps. Be sure to try their sweet liqueur. I will come again ☺️

From the best Greek to “well”! First to order drinks and last of 3 tables to receive the “expensive” drinks upon request and then only 2 of 6! Received the rest upon request! Lamb chops way too raw and back to the kitchen! Volume catastrophic! Leg of lamb tender but unfortunately no longer with noodles and therefore a small portion! The waitress probably has his favorites! So down to 2 stars!

I had the worst possible experience with this restaurant. I had reserved a table for 17 people and when I got there the waiter said they don't have any reservations. I showed the call history and repeatedly mentioned the time I made the reservation. They left us standing outside for a long time in the hope that maybe they could free up a spot, but they didn't. This is the worst service we have ever experienced from this inconsiderate service. You must imagine how embarrassing it was when I reserved the place for such a large group and they agreed but didn't provide tables. My god, the service providers there are completely shameless and don't know how to treat a customer. I hope these ignorant restaurant realize what they have done. This part is in response to your pathetic response of not even admitting your mistakes. I showed your rude waiter the call log. FYI: I called exactly on November 4th at 2:10 p.m. Their server even admitted that they were confused because there was a similar type of reservation. So instead of being such a liar, maybe you should try focusing on your mistake.

We celebrated our son's birthday in the Athene restaurant and were completely thrilled. The restaurant is very family friendly and the team and all the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The food was not only extremely tasty, but was also served quickly and the price-performance ratio was absolutely great. We are very happy to have discovered this restaurant and will definitely come back!
