Good food and excellent service.

The two of us went for dinner. The chef gave us a warm personal welcome. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food? So delicious! Highly recommended. We'll be back again ☺️

The quality is always consistently good! I personally preferred the old, classic ambiance back then; in the last few years, it's been more modern but still nice! The service is always excellent; you always feel welcome! ευχαριστώ πολύ Makis and team!

We had dinner here tonight, and it was simply fantastic! The food was really, really good, fresh, delicious, and superbly prepared. The value for money is also absolutely spot on. The waiters are incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. You immediately feel welcome. I'll definitely be coming back again!

We arrived at "Only Once in a Lifetime" around 8:30 p.m. and found a comfortable seat outside. The atmosphere was very informal and pleasant. We actually wanted to order gyros, but unfortunately, they were already sold out. However, the service was very friendly and attentive. The wait for our food was about 20 minutes, which was perfectly fine. We ultimately opted for grilled calamari and a rice noodle dish – both were delicious. I would also like to particularly mention the garlic bread, which was truly delicious. All in all, a lovely visit that we would happily recommend.

Great Greek restaurant! My favorite dish is the bifteki in pita – juicy, flavorful, and perfect for takeout. Highly recommended!

This is only a food review, as we had it delivered. The grilled vegetables topped with feta were excellent. 5 stars. We also had the sea bream with cabbage and rice. Also very tasty. 4.5 stars. The delivery was also great.

Simply Greek, the food was amazing! I was only in Munich on vacation, otherwise I would be there more often.

There are few certainties in life, but the fact that you can eat well here at reasonable prices is certainly one of them.

I ordered the fish platter and my friend ordered the mixed platter. For a total of just under €50, the portion size was ridiculous. It was also poorly seasoned. It tasted almost like nothing.

Another greek restaurant with average greek food. I had the mixed Mezze, it was ok, filling and nothing differentiating. Service was prompt. But since the place is small, the owner fills every square cm and it gets very noisy. No fun to have normal conversation 🙉.

I was born and raised in Munich. Every few years, I come back and visit Munich. This place has been there since I was a teenager. Every time I come back, I can't miss visiting this most awesome place! The people are the best, and the food is out of this world!!!. I have never been disappointed! There are not enough stars on Google to award them.

We've been going to Makis for over 10 years because we love the food and the good atmosphere here! I just have to take the delicious appetizer platter (warm & cold) every time, with garlic bread and the dish is great to share. Everything else we've eaten there over the last few years has always been delicious and we won't say no to a little ouzo every now and then ;) Efcharisto poli for the hospitality dear Makis, we'll definitely be happy to come back, even if our journey has multiplied due to moving - so see you soon! :)

Unfortunately I have to go down again with the rating. The last two times the food was actually cold and not even warmed up. It was far better in the beginning... It used to be a factor of 10 better. Food is significantly more expensive now - which would be bearable if the food had remained as good, now everything seems as if it had simply been warmed up in the microwave. The original owner, who used to always create a great atmosphere in the restaurant, was also no longer there.

I've never had such good Greek food outside of Greece. Great food at very good prices and the staff shows you that you are warmly welcome. Thank you for the fun hours with you

Just Live Once is a wonderful place for anyone who wants to enjoy Greek cuisine to the fullest. The restaurant offers a warm atmosphere that goes perfectly with traditional Greek dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the tzatziki, which is particularly creamy and aromatic - an ideal accompaniment to the dishes. The Metaxa Gyros is another highlight of the house. The meat is juicy, perfectly seasoned and served with a delicious Metaxa sauce that gives the dish a special touch. There are also fresh side dishes that round off the overall experience.

We came spontaneously on Friday and got an extra cookie. We weren't rushed though, the staff was super friendly and the food was really fantastic. By the way, the ouzo is also very good! Really a nice break! I can only recommend it.

Portions far too small for the price and all my food was overcooked, disgusting! The chef doesn't know anything about spices and should work in a snack bar rather than a restaurant! The waiter was a disgrace, I waited half an hour because he was on the phone until I could pay, I get better service at a chip shop! All in all, I unfortunately can't recommend the restaurant, as there are MUCH better Greek restaurants in Munich with a better parking situation, nicer ambience and a larger restaurant!

Was there with my girlfriend. I had güros in Metaxa cream sauce and she had the surf turf plate. I was relatively happy with my portion. Unfortunately the fries were too hard and tasteless. Unfortunately, my friend's plate was a big disappointment. For €26 you got a children's portion. Nothing stands out in terms of taste. Overall, unfortunately, it's just OK to disappointing. What struck me as very positive was the baguette. It came nice and crispy fried in garlic butter. I haven't had anything like this at Greek before. I can't say anything negative about the staff. Were always hospitable and attentive, as you would expect from Greeks. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was again very stressful. Unfortunately the store is too well stocked for its size. Very difficult to get through and quite overstimulated. I'm grateful for the food, but wouldn't visit the restaurant again based on the experience.

We stayed at “Only Live Once” and were thrilled! The atmosphere is super cozy and the staff was super friendly. We ate gyros and it was really tasty! A high chair was provided for our baby and the food was made warm. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone!

Even though the place was full, we managed to get a seat without making a reservation. Even if it makes sense to reserve. Comment from the lady I was there with: "The most beautiful toilet I've ever seen in a restaurant!" Of course, like me, she enjoyed the atmosphere, wonderful food, simply delicious. The service is second to none and the atmosphere was like being in a tavern in Greece 🫶🏻

Even though we made a reservation by phone at short notice, we were given a spot. The service staff was very friendly. The taste of the food was excellent and the portion size was more than sufficient. The restaurant is designed in the style of a tavern, so it is a little louder than a large restaurant. However, that's exactly what you can expect here. Thank you very much, I will be happy to come back.

We weren't regulars since it was our first time in the restaurant. Actually, we only chose and reserved it because it was a men's outing to the Deep Purple concert in the Olympic Park and we could still have dinner around the corner. But we immediately felt welcome, like we were regulars. Friendly staff and the food was plentiful and really good. There was enough bread on the table and we could have actually saved ourselves the pitas we ordered with it. The plates were filled generously and tasty and we almost had to stop the supply of ouzo in order to be able to hear clearly in the concert that followed. We were just sitting a little cramped, but perhaps that was exactly what created the ambience of actually sitting in someone's living room. Warm, friendly and good. If we come to the area again - we would be happy to do so again.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere

Everything collidere was already reserved on Monday at 6 p.m., but my companion and I still got a place. Food is very tasty. The store is relatively small, so it's noisy when it's full. Real flowers and candles would enhance the ambience.

We are spontaneously in Munich for a week. The motto is to eat; Search for a different restaurant on Google every day. After the best Italian, the best Chinese, today we ended up at the best Greek in Munich. Not decadent, but that doesn't mean anything...it depends on completely different things in life! The food is delicious and the host(s) are always friendly and accommodating. I/we can only recommend it and will definitely see each other again!

As a Greek I can only recommend the restaurant. Very good ambience and cool atmosphere. Valantis & Kostas in particular are worth their weight in gold!!!!

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. The operator is warm, but unfortunately that’s about it. The restaurant is incredibly small and the acoustics are terrible - the noise level is like that of a train station. The tables are therefore very narrow and since everything is well occupied, the waiters seemed very stressed. Unfortunately, the food was completely oversalted (chicken skewer) and completely overpriced at €18.90. Wouldn't go in again.

After two years we decided again to go to Makis. This place used to always be our first choice when we wanted to eat Greek! Unfortunately we were very sad and disappointed again today, definitely for the last time! In total we spent 45 minutes in the restaurant. Sit down, order, warmed up food, bill, pay. Loveless, comparable to any train station hall, but then completely overpriced!!! Go somewhere else if you want good Greek food!!!

One of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been to! The Tsipoura filet, rice, potatoes and bread was to die for! The saganaki was good as well, but not the star of the show. I highly recommend this place to people who love good quality Greek cuisine in Germany!!!

Wonderful food, every detail is really taken care of. The salad was delicious, the bread, the potatoes and of course the meat. The atmosphere is pleasant, familiar and the team is very friendly, patient and competent. This is really my favorite Greek restaurant and I would love to come back any time.

Excellent Greek. The quality and taste of the food is absolutely great. The best Greek restaurant I know. The service could have been a bit more attentive, especially because there was so little going on, Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m. The ambience is fine, cozy. In terms of price, the restaurant in 2024 is in the upper middle range, I would say. Main courses cost around €20, starters around €10, a drink (Spezi, Radler) €4.50 - €5.00.

The decor in the restaurant is modern, maritime, but does not invite you to linger for long. The food is good Greek cuisine. The portions were very good and no one went hungry. I would rate the price/performance ratio as not quite suitable. The staff was very friendly but not particularly attentive. Ouzo was offered several times, but we were otherwise ignored. So it was just a drink with the meal. Good but nothing special is my conclusion for the visit.
