We've been a Bambus customer since day one and have mostly been very satisfied. We moved from Rosenheim five years ago and still drive the nearly 15 km every now and then. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent that the quality is suffering due to the high demand. Today we ordered takeaway food: two hot dishes and sushi. The prices have risen significantly, as they have everywhere else, and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Especially the rice as a side dish with the duck today... was almost cheeky. And rice really doesn't cost the earth. Instead of avocado, as stated on the menu, the sushi had cucumber. There's also a noticeable visual difference compared to before...
It doesn't affect the taste much, but it's the overall look that counts.
Unfortunately, not quite as happy as we used to be...😔
Restaurants are good because they serve good food. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. We were about 20 people and we ordered different things and nothing was extraordinary. We left disappointed because the food was very average.
We went for dinner as a couple. Our first impression was of the restaurant's old-fashioned tiles and the overall austere atmosphere of a hotel restaurant. Uninviting. The greeting, including taking our coats, was nice, but there was no farewell; the lady preferred to remain seated.
The service was attentive and did its best. Unfortunately, no one had told the genuinely dedicated (temporary?) waiter anything about the wines, so all he could say was that he didn't drink wine himself and therefore didn't know what it tasted like.
We had a bouillabaisse, which, apart from the fact that salmon doesn't belong in it, was excellent. The rouille was also a 10 out of 10! My pike-perch on beetroot risotto was also very good with a very delicately seasoned sauce. The only downside was that the risotto was too soft. The duck breast was okay, but unfortunately, it had almost no sauce and was bland; the vegetables were also unseasoned.
We didn't stay very long, due to the unpleasant ambiance.
Just OUTSTANDING. The best ice cream I've had in Germany and Austria. Beautiful decor, the staff and owner couldn't be sweeter. 100% recommend, a home away from home.
I just had a vegetarian doner kebab 😢 It was so disappointing. The bread was completely filled with iceberg lettuce, a little red cabbage, a huge chunk of cheese, and two thin slices of paper-thin tomatoes 😢 It tasted like nothing, with garlic sauce 🥹 for 6 euros
The hospitality and service were excellent. We were only there for cake and mulled wine or coffee. It was superb. Even though we hadn't made a reservation and it was quite busy, the owner quickly arranged a table for us. I really appreciate that. That's pragmatism.
