Nice bar, but rude, rezzist staff toward Italians. They don't want to show you the price list so they can steal your money. All without a receipt. A shot of Jager costs €10?
Were it not for the cozy ambiance of the lovely dining room and cellar, this restaurant would deserve exactly zero stars.
In short: poor-quality ingredients, prepared into tasteless dishes, sold at exorbitant prices.
For example, the tagliatelle with bacon, mushrooms, and chicken (what a combination!). The bacon was unidentifiable and tasteless. The real kicker was the "mystery meat," which was supposed to be chicken, but had absolutely nothing to do with chicken in terms of texture or taste. It came with a bland tomato-cream sauce. It could be so much better. The gnocchi were definitely cheap convenience food, and the sage butter was poorly prepared. Boring and tasteless.
The service was very pushy and constantly asked if we wanted anything else. This was annoying and disruptive.
Apparently, some restaurateurs in Bayreuth think they can get away with anything when there's no competition.
Not recommended.
A beautifully decorated restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff. The food itself is the absolute highlight, though; it tastes fantastic and is always the perfect finishing touch to a lovely evening.
The banana beers served in bowls are a really cool touch 😃
We've been a Bambus customer since day one and have mostly been very satisfied. We moved from Rosenheim five years ago and still drive the nearly 15 km every now and then. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent that the quality is suffering due to the high demand. Today we ordered takeaway food: two hot dishes and sushi. The prices have risen significantly, as they have everywhere else, and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Especially the rice as a side dish with the duck today... was almost cheeky. And rice really doesn't cost the earth. Instead of avocado, as stated on the menu, the sushi had cucumber. There's also a noticeable visual difference compared to before...
It doesn't affect the taste much, but it's the overall look that counts.
Unfortunately, not quite as happy as we used to be...😔
We enjoyed our anniversary with an excellent three-course menu and very friendly, dedicated service at a window table, watching the sunset. Thank you very much, and we'd be happy to return.
I am a first generation Italian American who is used to eating delicious, authentic, well-made Italian food.
The bruschetta had fresh, sweet, tomatoes seasoned perfectly with olive oil and garlic and served on warmed grilled Italian bread. Absolute perfection!!
The carbonara was outstanding and not too salty at all! And perfectly cooked al dente spaghetti.
The risotto rustica had sensational flavors with a perfectly cooked, creamy risotto!
The Tiramisu??? Also perfection!! Traditional and delicious!!
We had the pleasure of having Cosmin as our server-so kind, polite, professional, and gave great recommendations. He is an asset to the restaurant!
Just OUTSTANDING. The best ice cream I've had in Germany and Austria. Beautiful decor, the staff and owner couldn't be sweeter. 100% recommend, a home away from home.
Located near a lake with outdoor seating. Extensive menu featuring fresh, regional ingredients at reasonable prices. Large selection of cakes and drinks. Prices are okay. Friendly staff.
